Jinchuuriki Progression
After the formation of the villages, during the First Shinobi War; Bijuu or more specifically the Jinchuuriki who utilize their powers became some of the most devastating weapons at a village's disposal and were often considered as symbols of power and status for their villages. It was because of this that the Great Five shinobi villages were raised above the others, as the Great Five originally held the majority of the bijuu with Ame being the only minor village to originally hold one.

Over the course of many years and two additional wars, the nine bijuu changed hands and eventually became more evenly spread between the villages in time. Some individuals state it is because of this occurrence of the bijuu being spread out across more villages that has helped to maintain the recent peace, others in turn state that it is because of this that the peace will eventually fail.

In this thread, explanations as to how shinobi who posses these beasts can further their abilities will be stated here. Keep in mind that this will be an appeal process in which staff is looking to see genuine IC progression. For current Jinchuuriki, we will likely require a revamp of the Jinchuuriki portion of your applications.

Initial Form and Version 1 Jinchuuriki Shroud

Before we continue, I will just give a general outline for the various phases Jinchuuriki can go through.

The earliest influence Bijuu have on their Jinchuuriki partners come during the Initial and Version 1 forms. More often than not, Jinchuuriki will enter their Initial Form during moments of their lives when emotions reach a fever pitch. It is a defensive reaction on the part of the Bijuu's chakra to protect and defend their hosts in hopes of keeping both of them alive.

The Version 1 form, otherwise known as the 'Cloaked Form', is brought forth when more power is needed to defend themselves. The physical influences of Bijuu on Jinchuuriki become more apparent and they gain a transparent bubbling shroud of chakra with tails that cover their bodies.

These stages can be brought forth voluntarily or involuntarily depending on the Jinchuuriki's level of control. However, the involuntary development of these phases are naturally slightly weaker compared to their controlled counterparts and also runs the risk of the Jinchuuriki eventually losing control as more power is sought out.

The more important difference to note between entering this form involuntarily as opposed to voluntarily is that the host will not be in control of their actions. While the member will still be writing their posts they must keep in mind that in such a state their character will be unable to tell friend from foe, further more they will be limited in how they fight.

Such a state their bijuu is almost feral due to them having to wretch control from their jin. This means that they will be almost entirely reliant on their abilities as a bijuu, being unable to utilize any of the techniques training that their host has learned.

Most important though it means that the character/host (whatever you want to refer to them as) will be incapable of planning out their moves. As said before when involuntarily in this state they are more or less a feral animal just trying to survive. Generally this means attacking whatever threatened them with everything they can or running away. . . not formulating a twenty step plan to win the day.

So one may now ask: How does one gain control?

At this initial stage there are two main methods. These are: Acknowledgement & Familiarity, and Training

For one to willingly tap into their Bijuu's abilities, they would have to become cordial with their beasts on a deeper level than mere survival. They need to Acknowledge the beast and its existence and be somewhat Familiar with the beast in order to build a level of trust where it feels comfortable enough to hand you some of its chakra. There need to be instances of interactions where the Jinchuuriki make connections with their Bijuu in order to form the basis of their partnership. This is particularly essential to the first tails of Version 1.

Training comes into play by showing Bijuu that they are worthy of their power. It shows Bijuu that their Jinchuuriki are full capable of self improvement, and not solely reliant on their legendary powers. While each Bijuu have vastly different personas, one thing they all agree on is their disdain for being brutally subdued into a crutch for shinobi. If they can see their vessels use their own abilities, they become more inclined to fess up more control. This is essential for the latter tails of Version 1.

A mix of these two could be used as an argument in one's appeal for additional Version 1 tails in additional to instances one applicant feels are important to note. It should be kept in mind that threads cited in the appeal should be seen as believable my staff's standard.

Version 2 Jinchuuriki Shroud

The next major phase in Bijuu Control is the the acquisition of the Version 2 chakra cloak. Those who have mastered their Version 1 cloak, or go beyond their level of control may be granted access into their Version 2 form. This form differs from its predecessor by having a more apparent physical influence and being more powerful. All benefits that Jinchuuriki have in Version 1 are boosted considerably.

However, Version 2 is also very dangerous. Whenever a Jinchuuiki reaches a situation in which they have to draw upon more power from their Bijuu than what they can knowingly control, they delve into an uncontrollable and violent state. Just like the Initial State, this is a sort of defense mechanism which serves to protect the Bijuu, but unlike it, it does not differentiate between friends and foes. Until the Jinchuuriki is somehow subdued or the perceived threat is defeated, the rampage will become increasingly violent because more tails will be sought out until the Bijuu reaches its Final Form.

It should also be noted that a single tail in the Version 2 form, is more powerful than all the tails in the Version 1 form, which goes to show just how much of a power boost a Jinchuuriki is given in this form. For those with minimal control, aside from the darker and thicker coat of chakra, Version 2 provides a sort of skeletal framework will be added on in the latter stages of the tail count and an eventual musculature. Those who have control can decide whether or not they would like to bring forth these add-ons.

Gaining control of Version 2 tails requires a much more robust effort in that members will have to train their Bijuu Specific Jutsu, have Version 1 Battle Experience, and take on Missions.

By learning techniques that are specific to one's Bijuu and having Battle Experience while one's in their Version 1 state, Jinchuuriki will be better attuned to their beasts. They will have a better idea as to their strengths and limitations while further knowing how to mold Bijuu chakra in advantageous ways. The purpose of completing missions is so that the Jinchuuriki and their villages can discover in what ways they can prove to be particularly profitable to their respective nations because of their unique abilities.

Full Bijuu Mode

This is the final form a Jinchūriki can take. The form of a Bijuu itself. This can only be achieved once they have acquired control of all their Version 2 tails. In principle, all Jinchūriki can fully transform into the tailed beast sealed within them when the seal breaks and they entirely lose control over the beast. However, doing so results in the Jinchūriki's death. By learning to work in unison with it, a Jinchūriki can become a full-scale replica of the beast with complete access to its natural strength and abilities. If they choose, the Jinchūriki can pass control of this form to the beast itself. It is the hope of all ninja villages to have their Jinchūriki master this form so that they can have a village destroying or village saving weapon at their disposal.

To achieve this, one solely needs participation in 2 site events after they have achieved control of Version 2 tails.

Training Guidelines

V1

Ichibi: 6 threads per tail
Nibi: 5 threads per tail
Sanbi: 4 threads per tail
Yonbi: 4 threads per tail
Gobi: 4 threads per tail
Rokubi: 3 threads per tail
Nanabi*: 2.5 threads per tail
Hachibi*: 2.5 threads per tail
Kyuubi*: 2.5 threads per tail

* In order to achieve tails with these Bijuu one would have to complete a number closer to twice this number before appealing. This means they could have to have 5 threads completed, but in return get 2 tails.

V2

Ichibi: 8 threads per tail
Nibi: 6 threads per tail
Sanbi: 5 threads per tail
Yonbi: 5 threads per tail
Gobi: 5 threads per tail
Rokubi: 4 threads per tail
Nanabi*: 3.5 threads per tail
Hachibi*: 3.5 threads per tail
Kyuubi*: 3.5 threads per tail

* In order to achieve tails with these Bijuu one would have to complete a number closer to twice this number before appealing. This means they could have to have 5 threads completed, but in return get 2 tails.

Note: There is an appeal process, and this is the strongly advised guideline staff will use when seeing your argument for a special ability. The application does not necessarily have to follow every single mark that is needed, but it is what someone should aim for. The application must present a logical, traceable order of events that would lead to what you believe would be your character's acquisition of a special ability. We should be able to see their experiences and learning.

Note 2.0: Solo threads count once per tail.  Any additional solo threads will mean significantly less than that of group threads.
