The stage was set and the match ready to go. The crowd roared as the competitors made their way out to the battlefield! Should the competitors have watched the Battle for Village Supremacy from the days before, they'd see the battlefield was much different than previous...perhaps this was another measure to throw these Genin off. Instead they would soon enter a large open field...of sand. A sort of sandbox, this would prove to slightly hinder movement and heavier set competitors may sink into it slightly. But the pro was that it was easy to dig through...there were so many ways the sand could be used!

It was a perfect day for fighting! The as the competitors entered, the referee appeared, prepared to begin the match! He'd look over to each of the entrances as he watched each competitor enter. For the first time in the history of these exams...this would be a three way battle! How will it play it? How will the competitors adapt? How will the match end? So many questions right before the fight, all there was left to do was wait and see!

-----------

Mod Note - In order to keep the exam as uncluttered as possible for the participants, this thread will be utilized by spectators. Feel free to watch the three way battle and cheer them on!

There Is Always A Mask
Never Trust It

Honor. Duty. Family. Ghôsh.

There was no way she was missing this. After all Takeshi had done for her over their years knowing one another. After him pulling her out of a pit of darkness after the last exams. And even after his consciousness was one of the few things keeping her from the realm of insanity, Akira wasn’t about to desert him. Sitting in the stands, the young archer had been their early. Watching and waiting before the fights even began. She was nervous for him. She really shouldn’t have been, even that part of her mind devoted to him was berating her for thinking such foolish things. But her normal nature was of a much more negative mindset. Her hands beneath her butt as she sat in the stands, her feet tapping lightly at the ground. The Chunin would see people file in slowly and then more quickly as the event was about to start.

It all opened with a bang. They all looked at one another, the signal was given, and then the rush. Takeshi moving, a girl clouding herself with something, another guy making things explode. They were all so different in their approaches. An Iwagakure, a Takigakure and a Konohagakure. If she knew anything of her friend, alliances meant nothing. He cared as little for the Iwa as the Konoha and would go for blood with both of them. Akira had heard the news of his last exams victim. Some girl lost her foot… But that was life. Shinobi life, to be more precise. And knowing her friend and having spoken to him before this exam… He wasn’t going to hold anything back.

So the archer would watch on. Only being granted a smirk as she faintly heard the words of the Konoha kunoichi. With a brief sign, she’d dispel the genjutsu. But Akira knew it well. And Takeshi would too. She had specifically trained it on him time after time. Trying to hone her skills even while the terrifying earth man came at her… This was going to be interesting. But in the end, Akira knew that Takeshi would come out on top.

OOC Note(s):
                            Yay! Posting!!

The events of the passed few days had shown the strengths and weaknesses of the nations greatest shinobi. The ones deemed to carry their respective villages most promising aspects and hopes. Yet now it came back down to the main interests, which was the progression of their youth. The ones that were to make their way forward towards the next step in their current paths. Should they succeed, they would be elevated and considered true shinobi and no longer children. Of course, that still required that they display some sense of competence. That was what they were all here to see today, in the three way match up between combatants that couldn't be any more different from one another.

A watchful eye placed upon the field, Ryu stood with the other leaders as they observed the battle and it's progression. While these were no more than simple evaluations, the idea of one misstep creating a political disturbance still lingered in the air. It had been there since the Battle of Champions, and would continue until a victor was decided. His village was being represented, but he did not think he need worry of the results.

Yamori had gotten to the arena pretty early as usual. Her headband being worn around her hair, which was braided into two parts. She decided to wear the headband the traditional way to be more "patriotic” to say the least. The chuunin exams was being held in a 3 way and she just wasn’t going to miss it. She didn’t know the representative for the Konoha personally but she was always there to support her village no matter the scenario and/or competitor.

People began to pile into the arena, every other shinobi trading looks. You could feel the tension in the air. The Konoha was known to have many "enemies” so the young blonde girl wasn’t surprised, as long as things remained civil, everything would be okay. She ended up sitting just in front of Kazuto and Yori, she would see as the young senju looked through the crowd, spotting them, the young girl’s smile was big and bright. Turning around to look over her shoulder at the two, Yamori would smile as the moment warmed her heart.

"You go Tsuume, you got this” the girl would think to herself as the competitors entered the arena, "Show ‘em that the Konoha reigns supreme”

Watching more skilled shinobi duke it out was always a fun past time but the real show was the sight of younger and fresh ones beat the snot out of each other was always the best part of these exams. This year seemed to be proving to be an even more enjoyable show as things were more streamlined and it was going for a battle royal type of match. Of course with only three participants there wasn't much they could really do. Still it was sure to be a fun watch none the less.

As he watched the combatants enter he couldn't help but just gawk at the sight of the eldest of the genin entering the arena. He knew that there were always a few that reached adulthood while still being ranked as a genin but...this guy looked way past his early twenties. And he was the Iwa representative, that put a little insult to injury to things. However Kuroto's opinion of him changed when he made the arena explode into clouds of sand and started breaking it apart as the other two were fighting between each other. Destruction was fine and all but instead of the arena Kuroto thought a better target would be the two others that ignored him from the start. He could only figure that the guy was trying to terraform the whole place to suit him with all the explosions. Even if he didn't really think it was a good starting strategy Kuroto cheered him on regardless. This Yuda fella sure seemed to have the right violent mindset to come out on top.

The exams were always amusing to watch. Amusing and somewhat depressing. This was at least her third exam she was merely observing. It frustrated the young woman. Locks that were usually red would have been darkened. And near her, two elder shinobi would continually swarm. She had space, but not enough to go anywhere out of their sight.

Captured and paid for, shinobi Isamu. Thankfully she had been given pass to leave Kumo. All to go to the lands she had been sold in. Tsuchi. There was a bitter resentment in the girl. One she couldn't shake even while watching the fight below. Am impressive young woman. A sturdy boy. And a man running around with explosive tags. It was certainly a sight to see. All of it. Even now Isamu was reminded of the path she chose. One of danger and little guarantee of the next moment.

A spike slid into the girl. Isamus hands tightened around her javelin. Her own memories and thoughts making her tense. The former Kusa shinobi stood near the top of the seats of the stadium. Watching from above. Well away from the blasted wall and huge amount of exploding tags. Yet she was still So close…

Just like before. She was powerless. Not that she knew this girl. But….There was nothing she could do. Did Destiny simply hold defeat?

All else aside, Niko’s days in Kuwana had yielded interesting enough battles that matched the hype surrounding them. Seeing Genin fight tooth and nail for their lives easily reminded the woman of her own adolescence and her previous efforts in the ring. Exams had come and gone, but it was not everyday that the Hokage got to witness an individual she personally instructed test their mettle. At times she had wondered just how much the mentality of her own generation of shinobi differed from those who were just up and coming, but in meeting Tsuume she had seen a hardworking kunoichi who possessed ample talent. If she proved herself here, the Senju would be on her way towards fulfilling her hope of becoming the rightful heir of her clan.

As the battle raged on however, it became clearer that the girl would not emerge victorious. A lethal combination of explosions as well and masterful Doton manipulation appeared to be getting the better of her. Soon enough, she would be gored by a cone of stone right in her abdomen, raising the eyebrows of even the Hokage. She would blink before her eyes averted to the emerging puddle of blood and slowly grew beneath the girl’s person. It was an unfortunate scene, particularly for some of Konohagakure’s civilian viewers, and one that made the Hokage feel partially at fault. If only she had given better pointers and trained the girl harder she might have fared better. Kudos was also due to the Taki Genin for his skill. He was a shinobi to keep an eye out for in the future.

Niko rose from her seat and clapped along with other members of the audience when the match had been called. The Hokage made a mental note to herself to ensure the girl would receive the proper end of life rights she deserved with her family back in Konoha. With the match over, she made her way towards the exit and began to focus on the next thing that needed to be done in Kuwana.
