DESCRIPTION:
----- In preparation for the upcoming Chuunin Exams Sanosuke trains with longtime friend and clansman Takeda Sagara. In the beginning Sagara has the upper hand on the fight, utilizing his experience in hand to hand combat to manipulating Sanosuke into thinking his attacks are effective only for them to be a set up for a counter by Sagara. Toward the end of their training an arrogant Sagara allows Sanosuke to gain the upper hand on him which leaves Sanosuke as the victor in the end. However, the training is not complete as Sagara has one more test under his sleeves. In an attempt to see how much Sanosukes senses have improve he attempts to strike him in the back from behind only to be completely avoided by Sanosuke who is able to temporarily able to see his surroundings completely. Even from behind. In the end the two decide they have had enough training for today, but the evening is not yet over for Sanosuke as he intends to talk to his mother about reoccurring headaches he's been having as of late.

---- After meeting Akemi the night before the soon to be Chuunin Kunoichi offers him the chance to train with her after convincing him previous to try his hand at becoming a Shinobi again. All appears as though everything is going well, that is before snow begins to fall before him leaving him vulnerable to the Ice blooded Yuki. In the process of trying to navigate through the snow Sanosuke has an instance where he brielfy sees Akemi through the snow. Out of denial he ignores his visual prowess only to be struct from the direction of which he believed to have saw her. What could have possibly caused such an occurrence?

The goal is to test the rumors of Kiris swordman prowess. However, there he finds a strong figured woman name Asuka whom much like himself is a dedicated close range fighter. She isn't the swordsman type that he was looking for, but she proves to be well worth the challenge based on her other skill set. Sanosuke fights the Genin to measure her strength not only against his, but how she'd measure up against those in her class from his villages perspective.

There he encounters a strange kid he met a few days prior upon arriving to Kiri. Toru. He is on the darker side in terms of his personality much like his teammate, but is a sword user and decides to spar with him. All goes well as his skills as a swordsman gives him a much bigger run than his bout with Asuka, but still isn't enough to overcome the prowess of his Byakugan. In retaliation the boy cuts Sanosuke in the torso temporarily upsetting him.

After traveling through the land of wind, and eventually the land of storm, the group comes to a stop to rest. Figuring it would be best to do the rest of the trip in the morning seeing as they weren't that far from the village. Sanosuke goes to use the restroom during the night while a friend, Sagara, is on guard and goes out into the woods. There he meets Kayaku, whom he met at the exams, and is a fellow Hyuuga like himself. There the two talk, and in the midst of their conversation, Sanosuke brings up teaching him some real Hyuuga jutsu as he promised during their initial encounter. Afterward the two begin a long stretch of training into learning the 8 Trigrams, 32 palms.
