Highly industrialized more of in the mechanical sense.

They have more developed architecture and highly trained technicians. They are able to use steam power effectively and probably rival the Tantetsu when it comes to Iron.

Pre-Boruto, the shinobi world had limited amounts of computers, and others personal technology. I would argue as a result of long peace, they were able to put focus on things other than war technology.

Our site isn't at that level yet. Pre - Boruto world had working television and radio and for the very few, computers (medical record storage in hospitals, Lords of the Countries, and perhaps state sponsored researchers /scientists).

To simplify Ame would have the things mentioned above, but slightly more in abundance. Those not in the elite, but the upper-middle class may have computers, but I think cellphones are a bit of a stretch. Mobile devices other than radio would be limited.

There are a few things I would like to mention before I annouce the first round of battles.

  • Just like in the canon, winning the whole tournament does not necessarily mean you will rank up to Chuunin. There is a separate grading system staff will be using and it's results will be announced at the end.
  • There has been a little bit of confusion as to what the groupings are. They are not 4-way battles, but they reveal the opponents you will be facing. Your character is in a group of 3 other people, meaning that they will have 3 1 v 1 battles.
  • Once again, no fighting. Try to have fun.

Before I begin, I would like to wish each and everyone one who signed up for the Chuunin Exams the best of luck. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we had thinking it up!

RULES FOR THE CHUUNIN EXAMS GROUP STAGE

  • Try to have fun. We are all RPers and amateur writers. We shouldn't take anything too personal.
  • Listen to what staff says. If we say something is final, it is final.
  • Each member has 48 hours to post before being skipped.
  • If you have some extenuating circumstance that doesn't allow you to post in that time, please inform staff and we may give you a small extension, otherwise if you're skipped your opponent is allowed to make some of their attacks hit and if you're skipped twice in a row, their attacks may be more lethal.
  • Each match should be run under a time limit of two weeks OOCly, or the equivalent of 16-18 (still under discussion) posts. Whichever comes first, the match will be halted and the result decided. (Win, Loss, or Draw)
  • A win is equivalent to 3 points, a draw is 1 point, and a loss is 0 points.
  • Characters that rank in the top two of their groups get automatic advancement into the QUARTER-FINALS of the Chuunin Exams. The two best third place genin will also advance.
  • Other members are allowed to post in the threads of competitors, but their actions ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY EFFECT on the outcome of the battle. This means jumping onto the battlefield, performing jutsu, etc.
  • And I can't state this enough....

    Staff advises that members must keep civil, and try to have fun. Staff will do their best to keep things fair, and hope that members can resolve things between themselves. Staff can and will intervene at anytime, but fighting before or after this intervention about what happens in a battle will be severely looked down upon and can result in both players being booted from the event. Patience, and understanding are the only things that will make this all run smoothly. Remember, Staff's word over a battle is final.

Genin cannot go on B-ranked missions, this would be C-ranked at best.

Additionally I would like to see for this mission at least one socializing thread, and one training thread for this to be marked for completion.

This thread will serve as the Chuunin Exams' update thread.

Staff has decided that since so many members may not be able to complete two missions before this Exam, we will be counting both completed missions and missions currently underway towards the total for this CE since it's the first with requirements. Do not expect this kind of leniency with Chuunin Exams afterward.

EDIT: The missions must be completed before official rank up.

This year's tournament will be held in Kumogakure no Sato, home tall mountains and thick clouds. In the Chuunin Exams, you will be pitted against Genin from all over the shinobi world in order to prove yourselves worthy of the honorary title of Chuunin. The competition will be fierce so we advise you all to come physically and mentally prepared. If you and your teammates are up for the challenge, feel free to sign up below.

In order to take part in the games, one must provide links to at least TWO COMPLETED missions, or previous Chuunin Exam Participation.

This year's Games will be much different that the last. Similar to Events & Plot threads, there will be a 48 hour time requirement in which you must post in order to keep the Plot moving. In the event you don't, one's opponent will have the opportunity to skip you. More rules and regulations are soon to come, so stay tuned...

Post your registration with the character you intend on having participate. As of now, a member can sign-up a maximum of TWO characters. This may change with time.
