The man was actually quite stunned that his demand had been granted and perhaps somewhere deep beneath the pain and anger he might have been feeling bad for saying such things, but those feelings would never reach the light of day. "Uh.. s-something easy on the stomach, if ya have it." He would reply a tad sheepishly. Thoughts swirled about his head as the woman ventured off to presumably the closest thing to a kitchen they had down here and though his ability to tell time had long since passed it wasn't long before she returned with soup and tea in hand.

As requested, he was fed by hand (probably more so out of security purposes than the state of his hands) and the sensation was as equally awkward as it was calming. For the first time in who knew how long the man was able to focus on something other than pain and for that he was grateful. A knock, a hushed huddle, they sure worked quick. Well at least the hidden villages hadn't grown incompetent in the time since his departure. The man would nod silently as Inari offered him another sip of tea, a gesture tinged with death.

Hazing eyes took sight of the woman's rapidly changing hair color as well as her face, and though it was just pigment it was the warmest thing he had felt in quite some time. Perhaps it was whatever the tea had been laced with that had him feeling all poetic but there really wasn't much else to focus on at the moment. Id was oddly difficult to focus on anything come to think of it. This had been an ordeal and the man was tired, eyes getting heavier by the moment as his breathing became more shallow with every exhale....
