It was an unexpected match-up to be put together with his opponent on a team, and then thrust into the arena with a brand new set of opponents, this time two. They were the second to last fight, and with this being the third round and a very special tag team fight, it meant it was the last round. Which meant Toru had nothing to hide and could go all out.

He walked out with Kuni on one side, their opponents? Asuka, who he knew rather well - and he was surprised to see fighting after the bad hit she took in the last round - and that Taro kid from Yukigakure who was fiery and quite odd. They were both quite adept at Taijutsu, which meant Toru was going to go in cautiously with his sword.

Kuni would be a good asset, he felt, and if they went in with intention to kill they could come out the victors. Of course, he didn't want to kill Asuka... He wasn't as attached to Taro in all honesty. If the attachment was to be considered in this at all.

He marched out onto the battlefield head held high, hoping that Kuni was keeping up so that he could speak to her briefly before the fight started.

"Hope you can see with something other than your eyes," He murmured, hoping she would at least take the hint of what he was about to do. Quietly though, so the other team couldn't hear. Was it cheating to prepare before? He wasn't sure, but he hadn't been told that this was the case.

Toru was wondering if taking on Taro first might be their best bet...It would also give them time to tire out Asuka if she kept chasing them across the field.

Just why, what the hell? Kuni thought as she read the slip, dragging her feet as she made her way one last time to the bunkers. Waiting for the time it was to fight, Kuni grabbed her head in frustration, how the hell was it to be a team fight if her only teammate got his ass disqualified. Kuni grumbled as she thought to herself, holding her right hand over her chest. Feeling her heart move away from its original position, the Mikatakujira reflected how much that damned child damaged her severely. Medically, it was pretty easy to repair, psychologically, she wanted to rip his heart out. So when the announcement came they were now on a team, threads practically poked out of the girl's face, flailing in anger and frustration any vengeance was denied.

Recomposing herself, Kuni grumbled in anger and glanced in frustration of at Toru, the two entering the arena, standing as allies. A foot in and the boy had a grip on his sword, flashing back to the fight brought a deep seated anger from within as the girl, went over her mental notes as she saw her opponents. Flame boy and punchy girl who doesn't know when to stop. Her gait as close to equal as possible with the boy. Turning to him as he questioned her. "Quick victory, got it." The girl said, turning to him and nodding in confirmation. Okay Kōi, wake up our resident Jiongu, dinner time. The girl thought as she placed fingers on her head, groaning as the shrieks and roars picked up in her head, eyes burning with the intensity of a thousand suns behind her callous magenta hues.

The girl stared straight ahead, all that was left was going forward, be it a victory like Toru got or one from fallen corpses. Either way, this was the final act, and she intended on finishing it.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body

As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

[Asuka Waruichi]

It’d been only a few hours since the girl had been released from the hospital and while her injuries did heal she was still feeling some of the effects however she was still able to fight for the most part. She had restocked her supply of cloth thanks to her cousin and was ready to face her next set of challengers as she looked over at her opponent she saw that Toru was her next opponent. "Okay, I’m not sure about this Kuni girl she seems like a wild one, in her fight with Issei she didn’t to go down easy. I say our best bet is to try and isolate each of our opponents. Toru is particularly crafty, he’s got a special jutsu he can use to blind us called the hidden mist Jutsu. If he gets that off we’ll be sitting ducks. You got any ideas?” She’d say looking over at her partner for the match.

Asuka had to be as tactical as she could in this bout no doubt that humiliatinig KO loss in the last round wasn’t the best look for her. So she needed something big to recoup that last loss here’s hoping her teammate was keen on playing Nice. She didn’t know much about him other than the fact that he was pretty nasty when it came to fire and was just as strong as she was.

As she and her teammate made their way out she’d look to Toru and place a hand on her hip, and would smile to him. "Toru-kun! Good luck!” she’d say extending a friendly gesture to her kinsman. The two knew each well and she considered him something of a friend, and even though they were on opposites of the battlefield he was still her friend and she wasn’t about to let that go just for the exams. She’d make sure to do her best not to hurt him.

Taro would arrive at his bunker without his typical items and within a very different outfit. He'd discarded the scrolls, they'd existed purely for fun and underhanded tactics to make it this far. Well this far without showing off the true depth of his power. No, he'd gone long enough hiding what he had been holding back. Now he could only boil in anticipation, as he'd ready his nerves to go all out on these opponents. His outfit unlike the typical battle gear of Yukigakure shinobi was instead the uniform worn by one outside of combat, it completely lacked defensive capabilities and instead instilled pride and duty.

His equipment greatly downsized, he'd only added one piece for all he'd removed. A pair of earbuds, as within Toru's first fight, he'd heard many non-combat noises. He wasn't sure who used what in the fight, but he could only assume this genin had some level of auditory genjutsu. Taro a resident of the country would of been waiting in the bunker before Asuka, he'd look to her as she arrived. An immediate grin, as he'd hear out her advice or more so concern. "I have a means to disperse the mist you're talking about, so just follow me!" He'd point to himself confidently. It was a risky move in his mind, but he hadn't come this far not to show off his pride and prowess.

The world would see today the reason to fear his clan! This fight would make the Nakajima infamous. "We'll beat whoever stands the most still first, so badly that the other will have to interfere." He'd explain the intricacy or more so lack there off, as he exuded nothing but the highest levels of confidence. "I was hoping you'd be my opponent, I've seen your speed and strength it entices me greatly. After this fight we'll have to face off against each other!" He'd state excitedly giving the girl a devious grin and showing off his shark like fangs. His hand opening to reveal two earbuds, before putting them in, to show he'd be deafened this battle.

He'd begin to turn towards the exit of the bunker to start their duel, but immaturely he'd think of the perfect line. Especially since he'd not be able to hear her reaction. "I'll end this quick for us, so we can take it slow tonight." He'd state with a slight flush of his cheeks, a wink in her direction, as well as sticking his tongue out at the end to show he was joking around. Exiting first, he'd walk up to the face off point and watch the referee from the corned of his vision. Waiting for the sign to start the fight.

Toru walked out onto the field, he wasn't sure if it would be a quick victory but he would do his best to assist his teammate... Though his brain switched into fight mode when Asuka spoke to him, he looked at her in the eyes noticing her gesture of good luck and being in good spirits. He exhaled slowly, she was looking at him... It was a little selfish, a little under-handed but his brain shifted gears at that moment. There was no reason to cast the mist immediately. Not with her staring right at him.

"Genjutsu." He exhaled under his breath to Kuni - intending for this to only be heard by his teammate - not yet noticing that Taro was wearing earbuds to block out sound, but he wasn't going to use sound, not with Asuka staring right at him. The proctor would signal the beginning of the battle, and he would stomp the ground aiming his genjutsu at Asuka and draw his sword, he would propel himself forward running quite quickly, but all Asuka would likely see - if the genjutsu hit - would be dozens of afterimages as if Toru was moving faster than ever before. And while they had trained together, it had not been recent, there would be no way for her to know if he had or had not trained himself to this point.

He hoped that Taro would see him running at Asuka and try to meet him in the middle, whether he did or not Toru would disappear about halfway to Asuka, or right before Taro got in a hit of any kind on him with a body flicker, while Asuka was still stuck in the genjutsu he would aim to stab her from behind in the abdomen his imbued with water sharpening the blade to such a great extent that Asuka would likely not feel any pain at all - not at first. If they could take one out, the second might be easier.

Toru hoped this quick move would work and if Taro had been lured to protect Asuka from Toru's bull headed run this would potentially open him up to Kuni, though this remained to be seen.

Toru had a great deal of knowledge when it comes to weaponry, but his love lies in swords. As a genin his skill and movement with a sword is unparalleled and akin to a prodigy. The sword is just an extension of his body and who he is. When a blade is in his hands he strikes his enemies down quickly and doesn't seem to hesitate when he does so. The form of his body is that of someone who has trained in the art for quite some time, and it is no surprise when he is able to go toe-to-toe with chuunin have never swung a sword.

Speed Like Wind
Toru uses his lithe frame to move around quickly and his training with kenjutsu combined with his desire to be faster has brought to the point that he is at today. In top physical form, he is much faster than not only the average genin but can parallel the speeds of chuunin going at their very quickest - this is generally only true of those have not trained and honed the skills that he has. In more plain terms, Toru can match the speeds of genin who are bukijutsu and taijutsu primary specialists and easily outrun and untrained chuunin.

Lightning Reflex
Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

Enhanced Chakra Reserves
Gifted with a larger than normal chakra pool, Toru can easily utilize a series of jutsu without tiring out as quickly as others. Stronger and higher ranked jutsu don't drain him quite as easily and anything with a continuous drain seems to last longer as well.

It didn't take long at all for the boy to respond to Kunikunosaku, to be frank, she didn't expect him to. Even if it was just to establish his thoughts, out quiet and curt, it was like the boy had turrets or something. Kunikunosaku quickly cut off thinking once the boy started stomping. Talk about subtle. The girl thought as she attempted to map out his gaze. It seemed as if Toru had it out for the mist bitch, Typical men. The Takigakure Kunoichi shifted her sights on Taro. "You look like you could use a hug." She attempted to say to the numb skull, unaware he was deafened to the world. The waterfall shinobi hopped on her foot almost as soon as Toru left, and almost sequentially, the girl dashed as quickly as she could, her only goal was to fight and with hollow faith that boy could stop the punchy one from interrupting her, focus froze on Taro and only him. Charge left uninterrupted would find her crossing paths with Taro, regardless if he did go after choppy. A powerful sucker punch to his jaw, meant to create distance and make him stagger. Rudimentary goals oddly seemed effective at least in speed. It was the best she could do. "Me too." Would be all Kunikunosaku said before she would attempt to spin back.

The finisher would come in the form of thrown ash, black ash and embers race to Taro and with the contact of a solid object explode and further the jutsus adverse effects. If she was very lucky, it would have blinded him, making it difficult to breath. The straight forward tactic was easy to interrupt at any point, yet, all the girl could hope was her assault at least fulfilling her simple goal, of distracting him. But if she could instantly blind flame boy, Kuni had a much more intricate idea in store. For now, she'd settle for the division.

DESCRIPTION:
Without the use of hand-seals, the user will form a collection of burning ash in their hand and throw it at high speeds. Upon contact with a solid object, the ash will explode into a small (one meter in diameter) of burning hot ash. It can cause minor burns and cause intermediate damage to eyes and respiratory system. A clean hit blinding a person until they are able to receive medical attention. Alternatively it can be used to ignite flammable objects or set off traps. The jutsu can be used in quick succession but is not overly lethal.

It had been a hard sell to convince her parents to bring her back to Yukigakure after she had decided to pass on the exams that were taking place, but it was assuredly not for any non-existent reason. The albino had had her reasons for not going into these exams. Though flimsy as they were on a base level they mattered to her more than some examination for the other villages to witness her. It wasn't her style anyways to get caught up in such ordeals. Byakuya had taken nearly three days of travel to reach after she had managed to convince her parents of the ferry to the foreign country. Her father having accompanied her to see his eldest daughter fight as it were. Late was not quite true though as they found their way to a section of Kirigakure shinobi. Arriving seemingly just on time for her sister's exam to start. Oddly, paired against Toru, an annoying brat he had been, teammate or not. Her reason for being here was her older sister and no one else. Father behind her as she watched from the staircase.

Toru didn't matter here though for rooting, as Asuna found herself freed from the rules of the clan if only for a moment. Letting herself free Asuna would drop her quiet and proper exterior for her sister and grin, breathing in a deep breath, "Onee-Chan, kick their asses!"

[Asuka Waruichi]

As Asuka finished her greeting she had overheard Taro’s rather lewd statements and turned to him giving him a rather cringey expression. "Umm...c-can it wait…” she’d say only to hear the proctor signal for them to begin, upon his command Asuka would hear footsteps approaching her she’d then look over and see Toru making his way toward her, having been slightly distracted by Taro's words.

He seemed to be going at his regular speed but his movements made it hard for her to see where he was coming from from a brief moment. However as he closed in the girl got a lock on him and turned her body off to the side to avoid his attack. With the opening now in hand the girl would attempt to quickly strike his arm in an effort to try and freeze his momentum with a jolt of chakra and then follow up with a swift and fast chop to the back of his neck. Asuka’s strikes were notoriously strong and rather difficult recover from since back home she was known for her strength. She hadn’t sparred with Toru in a while, perhaps it was time to refresh his memory.

Asuka was distracted by Taro's FLIRTATIOUS DIALOGUE as a result Asuka DID NOT NOTICE Toru's Genjutsu and instead HEARS HIS APPROACH after watching his movements, she would use QUICK ROTATION to dodge out of the way and then attempt to jab with him with the BODY PARALYSIS TECHNIQUE afterwards IF SUCCESSFUL she'd attempt to follow up with the IRON FIST KNIFE HAND BREAK to the back of Toru's head.

Obliging the mist shinobi was exactly what the snow boy had in mind. His excitement only raised as the there'd be no raised mist in this fight, it'd seem both parties were simply interested in getting started. Hopefully Asuka would follow his lead of some sort, as he'd blindly charge in for the first target possible. Toru. Taro would form a fist with both of his hands, as he'd draw the left back specifically to trade blows with the incoming mist genin. A hand seal would form from his opponent, but that didn't deter his planned attack.

Instead of a jutsu being made to thwart or attack Taro, it'd seem the well dressed shinobi's opponent planned to run. There was a consideration that it was done to attack Asuka. He couldn't hear a damn thing behind him, he also couldn't hear the other opponents words. A 'girl' with less than a fashion sense facing off against him now instead. Praying his back was covered by his teammate, focus would be moved to the kunoichi throwing a quick punch for his chin. She'd of come after Toru vanished, but a bodies distance was more than enough to prepare.

Relying on his swift speed Taro would move toward the oncoming opponent, but shift to the side of the punch. His already prepared fist shifting into fire and building up energy, as she'd either just fail or be moving into her spin. He'd send out his devastating punch towards the center of the girls body. Moving inwards it was more than likely in range to connect, as well as due to her planned spin likely hard to block. Throwing his fist forward with an explosion, he'd his whatever was available, her gut, side or back depending how quickly she was able to pull off her spin.

The force of the punch would be greater than the normal jutsu due to his skill in the Nakajima techniques, he'd hope it'd be enough to send her back a good few body lengths apart. Though his next actions would totally rely on the success and reaction of the girl to his punch. Cremation likely being his resolve if she still attempted her katon technique.

Asuka assumed that Toru would not notice that she did not appear confused, but he did notice that his genjutsu did not hit. However, he continued with the attack, well kind of. He continued only to the extent of body flickering behind her and away from Taro - the trap and bait had been settled it seemed for him and Kuni to come into proper contact, it was now up to her to take on Taro the best she could while he took on Asuka.

Toru would appear behind her as his plan dictated while she rotated - as it appeared as she was not accounting for his body flicker - and his movement went downwards immediately into a squat as she reached out to try and cause body paralysis. He wouldn't allow it, instead, as he moved down he would let out a shrill whistle. The moment it would hit her ears, it would cause severe disorientation, flipping the world on its head making it hard to get up, stand, or do literally anything.

Once she was - hopefully and presumably - collapsed and struggling to stand, he would move swiftly to once again stab her in the abdomen and following up with cutting a vital artery on her arms - axillary - to put her out of the battle, even if she came out of the genjutsu since the two cuts would cause quite a great deal of pain and blood loss... Death, only if not addressed quickly. He didn't want to kill a comrade, but he did want to end the fight quicker.

The form of his body is that of someone who has trained in the art for quite some time, and it is no surprise when he is able to go toe-to-toe with chuunin have never swung a sword.

Toru uses his lithe frame to move around quickly and his training with kenjutsu combined with his desire to be faster has brought to the point that he is at today. In top physical form, he is much faster than not only the average genin but can parallel the speeds of chuunin going at their very quickest - this is generally only true of those have not trained and honed the skills that he has. In more plain terms, Toru can match the speeds of genin who are bukijutsu and taijutsu primary specialists and easily outrun and untrained chuunin.

Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

Enhanced Chakra Reserves
Gifted with a larger than normal chakra pool, Toru can easily utilize a series of jutsu without tiring out as quickly as others. Stronger and higher ranked jutsu don't drain him quite as easily and anything with a continuous drain seems to last longer as well.

Fast... too fucking fast. Kunikunosaku thought as her punch found nothing, instead her eyes watching the Nakajima dance around her and counter her. Already in mid spin to instead retreat from her failed attack, Kunikunosaku watched as Tora struck her. The force of the attack knocking her back a bit, enough to consider space created. As the girl was knocked back, her hand appeared as if she was trying to reach for and strangle his neck. Depending on Toru's success, Kuni followed her knock back with seals as a bundle of threads ripped out of her back, forming a body as it charge for a somersault. Kuni having recovered from the knock back raced p against her close and once it was in position, jumped onto their separate feet, both using enhance strength to launch and kick propel to Tora. Kuni from above and her black clown from the ground. It rushed, faster than any anything Kuni dis played previoulsy. Easily meeting him again at combat as the real Kuni came down to deliver a powerful ax kick, "Toru get ready!" she said on her descent, eyes locking on Toru momentarily before coming to focus on her impeding strike.

If Toru wasn't ready, the maneuver proceeded the same, only instead of Kuni coming down. It'd be a Long Limb surprise propelling to the Nakajima, ender in site, hopefully. One that Kuni would use all her strength to lauch, hoefully making the jutsu stronger; hopefully this idea worked,

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body

As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Like many elemental clones they are unable to use anything bar Taijutsu. When the clones either dissipate or are destroyed any surviving threads will attempt to return to the user.

Along with lengthening the limbs themselves the user can move a mass of tendrils and a heart with them into the limb, allowing it to act independently from the main body.

[Asuka Waruichi]

As Asuka has went on to prepare for Toru’s attack she had notice that he moved quickly and had arrived around her, As she prepared a counter attack, but in mid motion he’d whistle and Asuka would suddenly notice everything start spinning the world turning upside down Asuka's eyes moved in a way that would denote confusion to her partner if he was paying attention, but in that same instance as the girl stopped her momentum but her body moved somewhat strangely as she stopped her motion. she’d dealt with this before. The girl had experienced this once before a long while back going up against another genjutsu swordsman from back in their home village.

As a result she understood exactly what was happening as everything hit her, and she knew how to fight through it, and took a brief moment to quickly correct herself. "Left is right up is down and…got it!” Toru would then lunge at her trying to attack the girls arm. However Asuka would be able to decipher the motion and would move her body out of the way, taking the appropriate amount of steps back using her speed to stay just out of his range, she would then craft a few hand seals preemptively. Now that Toru was more than likely going to on the offensive and so she’d try to keep herself prepared for whatever was to come her way.

Toru had gotten craftier since the last time the two of them had fought she was excited and somewhat proud of him he wasn’t that kid she was training at the academy anymore but she wasn’t exactly the same either having learned a thing or two about genjutsu from another practitioner before the exams began. She simply bided her time and played ont he defensive which was one of her strengths as a fighter.

The opposite to accelerate, decelerate effectively allows the user to instantly disperse all their momentum and stop on a dime as it were. This technique however can only be used for movement and the user must be touching the ground. This can not stop the user from taking damage from a fall nor can it stop their movement when being hit from an attack.

Summary:

Asuka begins the motion of her counter attack but notices Toru's usage of Body Flicker in that instance Asuka use DECELERATE to cancel her motion as Toru WHISTLES. Asuka is then caught in his FIGHTING CONFUSED GENJUTSU and is briefly disoriented however due to PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE Asuka is able to properly recover quickly and MOVE HER BODY OUT OF THE WAY she then PREPARES HANDSEALS as a pre-preemptive measure.

Taro's attacks were always delivered with decent force due to his specialization in taijutsu, but with his Nakajima jutsu and fire's force it'd be quite the display of power. Hitting was the perfect situation and the boy really couldn't care less when the hit made contact. It would and the girl wasn't holding her ground, it was all he really needed to know, as the flames from his attacks blast would settle upon the air.

The charred human projectile would attempt an attack, but the male wasn't too heavily interested. There's was a moment of separation that needed accounting, his head shifting to look over his shoulder. Noting the other had engaged Asuka in combat, it'd seem both shinobi were agreeing to close quarter confrontation. This benefited absolutely everyone in the fight, but to Taro it benefited him the most. He landed a solid hit, so now it was time he went back to his teammate. He couldn't hear a cry for help, so he couldn't put all his focus into the Takigakure kunoichi.

She'd be performing a jutsu, then relying on her clans secret ability. He'd do the same, but his would be much more effortless. Turning his body his feet would combust and propel him towards his teammate. At the same time his hand which wasn't devoted to the earlier attack would dig into his own pocket, as he'd retrieve and release three explosion notes loosely into the air behind him. Detonating them as soon as he was roughly out of their blast range. It'd prevent any attempt to directly follow him and give him a longer window to engage the mist shinobi.

Though noting his partner seemed off, he'd assume the very thing he worried about earlier. Rushing to pass behind his teammate and quickly perform the release technique to remove an assumed genjutsu in play. They'd need to be at their full power after all, if his action went uninterrupted, then he'd follow by looping around his teammate and enemy. To attempt to place all players roughly in his broad span of vision. Three hand seals quickly being formed.

Toru squinted when Asuka acted strangely, stopping herself from stopping. Was she resisting? Odd. He didn't think on it for too long, he was going to have a backup plan regardless, he wouldn't be able to help Kuni at this moment so she would have to follow through with what she was planning to do solo. Because in combination - using both speed and reflex to react to the situation of Asuka resisting - he would reach to a pouch and bring a piece of paper out, and while she was still keeled over from stopping herself from falling over completely, he would slap her on the part of her back hardest to reach, just between her shoulder blades, seemingly attempting to bring her down. But his hand would come away, she would be quite disoriented while he would maintain this genjutsu, regardless of her resistance he knew that genjutsu took time to adjust to and he would hinder her movement the best he could.

The slap came at an apt time, and it would be unlikely that Asuka would notice a piece of paper slapped onto her back, for all she knew Toru had just tried thrust her downwards further into disorientation, either way, it seemed Taro arrived and he didn't make it very unknown as Toru saw him coming from his peripheral vision.

Toru would purposefully slide forward then to make sure that Taro would not be able to touch or grab Asuka, his sword flying in an arc as the other tried to run on by, likely running straight into his sword unless he maneuvered last minute, cutting directly into his mid-abdomen, but if he did he would not be able to touch Asuka, as a result, leaving her disoriented in the genjutsu. Of course, he could still try to get to Asuka but also potentially get blade into his abdomen and cause blood loss.

As many of Toru's techniques in the past - though scarcely seen by the outside world - this one would be blindingly fast meant to cur his enemies before they could to react appropriately. Though also meant to help Toru react quickly and in tandem with his own enemies.

Slight Synopsis: Toru puts the tag on Asuka's back while she is still newly resisting the genjutsu (not when she's up and doing seals), but he makes it seem like he's trying to shove her down. When Taro attempts to run by to cancel the genjutsu, Toru moves forward to be near Asuka's back to use buki tech to cut into Taro's stomach if he doesn't change his trajectory/movement - this is intended specifically to not allow Taro to cancel the genjutsu as Toru is now directly in Taro's exact run-thru line. In top physical form, he is much faster than not only the average genin but can parallel the speeds of chuunin going at their very quickest - this is generally only true of those have not trained and honed the skills that he has. In more plain terms, Toru can match the speeds of genin who are bukijutsu and taijutsu primary specialists and easily outrun and untrained chuunin.

Lightning Reflex
Toru has impeccable control over his body and muscles, to the point that he appears as if he might be dancing around his opponents with mockery. Not only quick on his feet, he seems to have the reflexes to go along with his speed. It takes a similarly lithe and feline-like opponent to land a proper hit on the small boy. A chuunin with similar speed and reflexes - and proper training - can tire Toru out properly enough to do so, or perhaps a genin although it may take longer. Toru is an almost slimy opponent and is difficult to pin down.

Enhanced Chakra Reserves
Gifted with a larger than normal chakra pool, Toru can easily utilize a series of jutsu without tiring out as quickly as others. Stronger and higher ranked jutsu don't drain him quite as easily and anything with a continuous drain seems to last longer as well.

Again? Fuck it! Pissed as hell her teammate was not ready nor Taro taken the attack, the airbone Kuni still looked a head. He seemed to protect the girl with all his ability, break his fucking will. The Long Limbs already in the ground retracted and sent the airborne Kuni straight to Asuka, fast enough to be neigh indistinguishable to the unfocused eye. She weaved hand seals that would turn the into claws of the most powerful degree. With the clone running towards the group, its slow approach would prove enough to ease the opponents they had enough time to do their plan. As soon as the enemy was able to stand, and Taro came to the rescue, the real Kuni would come out of the air in complete silence, hand deep enough in her chest to let the threads touch her heart. "Forfeit or fucking die!" The Taki Genin said to the mist bitch.

In the event, the girl had the balls to evade her strike and warning somehow, Kuni would stop to turn over to Taro jabbing her talon hand into his chest and heart, most likely killing him on contact. The girl had enough playing around, this was a grudge match and that is exactly the price some have to pay. Her close still running in cose from behind, the girl had an idea if this went further south

Synopsis: Having missed her first long limb, Kuni uses the remnants of the jutsu to launch her body at ridiculous at the now-trio. Weaving the seals, in mid-air, Kuni prepared to dive-bomb Asuka and drive her hand deep enough in her chest to offer forfeit or death. The results will injure Asuka severly with a high probability of knocking her further away from Taro, making his attempt to kai Asuka harder, if not, impossible.

In the event that failed, she'd quickly turn her hand back around, using her strength to drive her talons into Taro's chest, piercing his heart.

Through out out the entire scene, Kuni's clone is clearly running at ground level towards them, offering a distraction and making Kuni almost unseeable to eye sight not paying attention to detail. [MIGHT need a perceptin SA to appropriately see past the distraction due to speed of launch.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body

As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

By utilizing their kinjutsu, the user will extend on of their limbs. They can then direct the limbs to attack opponents with the maximum length of the limbs being 35 meters. Along with lengthening the limbs themselves the user can move a mass of tendrils and a heart with them into the limb, allowing it to act independently from the main body.

DESCRIPTION:
Inspired by the Wild Lion's Mane Technique, the user will pour their chakra into the tips of their fingers, and more specifically their fingernails. Being that fingernails are made mostly of the same substance as the hair, the nails will take the keratin of the skin around them to grow out longer. This causes the skin to tighten and leads to the bulging veins of the move. The nails don't grow out long or ensnare enemies like the parent technique, instead more chakra is poured into making them as strong as steel, and as sharp as a blade. The nails grow sharp enough to mimic the abilities of Kunai.

DESCRIPTION:
By expelling some of her their threads a user will create a rough clone of themselves. They have a lifespan of roughly three posts, and can be made in fairly large numbers. Along with being able to be made in large numbers, the clones are able to use their threads to wrap and skewer opponents before they dissipate. Like many elemental clones they are unable to use anything bar Taijutsu. When the clones either dissipate or are destroyed any surviving threads will attempt to return to the user.
