The man just frowned his brows a bit further when Toru started talking about the chemicals, and then on about the colour, and the man's face seemed irritated, but also puzzled. "I don't give a shit about colours, we just need it to be strong enough. We gave you what you asked for! So it's about time you start fulfilling your end of the bargain, eh?!" and although he was aiming for an intimidating tone, he wasn't going overboard with that, an indication they still couldn't afford to dispose of the scientist.

As he messed with the buttoms, the containers started to bubble a little more, and smoke came out of it. It was making the air around them heavier. "H-hey, what is going on?!" the man looked a bit alarmed, but his ignorance on how these things work made him remain more passive, and when Toru complained about the computer, he seemed to relax a bit more, as it seemed like it was one of those technological glitches that happen more often than they would lile. As he complained about the money, the man was ready to say something, but a small explosion happened in one of the container, and fog spread out a lot inside the base.

"S-shit! What the hell are you doing?! You are screwing this up you idiot! Fix it! The smoke is gonna suffocate us all if you don't!" the man barked, reaching out to grab Toru's collar.

"Hey hey!" The 'man' responded when he was grabbed by the collar and pulled forward, of course Toru didn't react as a shinobi would at least in the moment. He needed to keep up the act of a fairly intelligent but nonetheless civilian scientist. It was easier said than done, to override his own instincts to absolutely murder the man grabbing him. But he knew it was for the better if nothing else.

Grabbed up he frowned towards the man, unsure of how to react.

"Okay! Let me go and I'll try to fix it!" The air was already getting heavier which was a good thing. Well, Toru would have to make a get away soon. He couldn't stand around.

Presuming the man let him go, Toru would begin to try and fiddle with the computer though he had no idea what he was doing so he could only imagine that he was just making it worse. Nonetheless, he was still 'trying' to make it better. Though with the man in close proximity he would walk around away from the console and just around and behind the man, sending a set of polyp tendrils from his pant leg to act as if an insect were tickling the man's flesh before disappearing. Though the intention here was purely to poison him from his flesh alone. It would probably take a little longer, but it was absolutely meant as security to make *sure* that the man did not leave here alive.

And if he did, he wouldn't live for much longer.

"Shit... Hey boss, we have a little problem. The mixture is unstable." At least he was trying to be 'honest'.

When he said he would try to fix it, the man let go of him, but the air was getting denser and he coughed. "Do it quickly!!" he said, as he seemed rather alarmed, knowing all too well that if things went south, they wouldn't really be able to escape with their lives. The tentacle went unnoticed as the man was trying to watch the scientist and also dealing with the extreme stress and fear from the possibility of a chemical accident, so he just slapped his flesh without paying too much mind to it.

As he continued to tamper with the computer, things were quickly getting worse, and the liquid was now leaking. One of the tanks started to crack and more fog started pouring out from it. When the "scientist" admitted things were going south. The man looked scared and grit his teeth. "Well... You are on your own, Doc! The boss pays my bills and if I'm saving anyone, it's gonna be him!" and as he said that, he hurried back up the stairs, but his body was feeling rather weak and he was struggling, oblivious to the fact that he had also been poisoned.

Now, the situation was not optimal for Toru either. It was clear at this point that it was just a matter of time before the laboratory would explode, releasing all those chemicals, so he needed to think of his own escape as well.

Toru was going to make a quick escape, the way he had come. Though, he would certainly have to be quick. So, as the man allegedly left him for death. He started to chase after him still transformed.

"Hey! You can't leave me!" He announced boisterously, coming upon him quickly and managing to out pace him if only because he was cheating a little bit and *Toru* was using a little bit of his shinobi training to do so. The act was close to being over anyway. He ran out of the door. Now, he would try to close the door shutting it on the man before *he* could get out. Though if the man ran out with him that wouldn't be an issue. Toru didn't really need to kill anyone as much as he just needed to destroy the operations.

Regardless of whether he left the man in the laboratory or not, it would hardly make a difference as by the way he was moving and breathing it seemed that what Toru had attempted earlier was working. Good.

It was all about re-tracing steps and Toru simply followed his own lingering scent through the tunnels he didn't transform back to normal yet. First, he wanted to get out and shut the trap door. The explosion - if it occurred - was fairly deep underground so he hoped it would not horribly affect the surrounding area but it would be better than letting it loose on an entire village of people.

The poison and the fog were getting to the man, and even though he was a strong shinobi, he was still human. "Y-you... H-how..." speaking was becoming harder and when Toru closed the door on him, he could hear the man banging on the door, but with each bang the noise grew weaker until it was gone, probably passing out now that the fog had taken over that area of the underground facility.

As Toru made his way back and shut down the trap door, the explosion would soon take place, and it was bigger than the Mizukage had anticipated, further evidence that if left unchecked, this experiment could've brought much harm to the Land of Water. The explosion would push the Mizukage away, but his strong body would prevent him from getting any serious injuries. Where once stood the undergound facility was now a huge crater. The fog was coming up to the skies, heavily toxic, but it would be dispersed in time, and they were fortunately far away enough from any major settlement for them to be affected.

The threat had been nullified, and without the need for a fight. Sometimes, using the brain is a shinobi's strongest tool.

Toru jumped back, and then fumbled when the explosion very suddenly sent him back. He tumbled over himself quite clumsily. He was usually graceful but in this hurried moment as he de-activated the transformation he was less so. Faceplanted on the ground he let out a groan as the ground cratered and the laboratory went up in smoke. The main fumes dispersing high into the sky as opposed to being close to the ground like a mist. Thanks to the explosion most likely. He sighed and put a hand to his own face to cover up the smell. He was a bit sore from that tumble, but not too bad.

It was time to head home though. But, perhaps first a meal. A job well done after all, and he would have to catch Shoyo to get them both some food or something like that, later. At least the threat had been mitigated and he could sleep soundly now, knowing that the country was safe from potential issues outside of Kirigakure. Though, all issues that touched the nation would eventually come to Kirigakure it was inevitable and he doubted he wanted to deal with it getting closer and closer to home.

Toru sighed and after a roll of his shoulders turned and started to travel ready for a meal.
