With the chunin exams nearing its start, Taki was busy making sure that everything was running smoothly doing patrols and keeping a tight watch on things but today was different today she was going to be spending time honing her cousins skills for the upcoming exams. The two had been working hard to make sure that he kept everything under wraps in terms of revealing himself as the Gobi; that was a surprise that would be reserved for the exams themselves. She was looking forward to getting him into shape.

The boy however had an interesting request he wanted to work on his durability and Taki was one to oblige. "Alright Gory, you sure you're ready for dis?” the girl would say as the training grounds they were on Taki had a table set up each with an item of varying brutality a kendo stick on one end, a steel chair on the other and a sledge hammer at the very end it was a rough series of items but if the boy wanted to be able to take a punch she’d need to give him everything she had.

"You’ve been woikin on dat Durablity so lets see watcha can handle, alright.” on the table the girl would let the boy pick out weapon he wanted to be struck with. "Pick ya poison kiddo, rememba you can say I quit at anytime.”

He didn’t want anything to happen with the Gobi. He had done everything everyone had asked so far in order to try and keep the Gobi in check, but outside of just feeling like there was an amassed amount of chakra looming eerily over his shoulder, nothing outside of the ordinary had really happened.

Kokuo had only spoken once, and it wasn’t as if he had much to say. His voice. Goro could still hear it…it sent a shiver down his spine as he walked. The training grounds called him. He had arrived and met with Taki, just as they planned, nodding as she asked her question. "You know it sis!” he pumped his fists together, jumping at his feet to warm up.

He imagined that there were plenty of battles ahead that he had to be ready for, and as a Taijutsu specialist it was a good idea for him to be able to take more hits than others around him just in case. With the Eight Gates in mind, it would help him be able to stand the tear of his muscles just a bit more as well, allowing him to effectively tackle two birds with one stone.

Goro’s jumping stopped immediately as Taki spoke, his face a pit pale as he looked at the table and then back to Taki. "You’re joking…right?” He took in a deep breath and shook his head, pumped his fists again and thought for a second. "No pain no game, amiright? Start wit da chair. If it’s not too bad, we go to da sletch. I already know da stick ain’t nothin’. Auntie hits me wit hers all da time when she catches me in da gym at night.”

As the boy had arrived and looked to the tools on the table the girl had stopped to think about this. "Are you sure…?” the method was a bit on the brutal side but she figured enough stiff shots would surely help the kid out but she was having second thoughts this was her baby cousin after all. "Alright…chair it is!” the girl would pick up the metallic object careful to make sure this wasn’t her chair that had the large sealing marker with 200 pounds added to it.

"Your job is ta block dhese shots, we’re gonna build up dem callouses, and just like Auntie I don't hold back!” the girl would say with a hearty shout as she kept her chair in hand and readied herself. "Also why're you sneaking into da gym at night!?" the girl would say catching that last statement. "Just for dat dis foist one is gonna be extra hard Now den, Ready…” the girl would walk around the boy to add an air of unpredictability to her attack pattern.

"Set…” but before she could finish the word go the girl would swing the chair as hard she could without breaking it right towards the boy’s side a stiff shot that would sting no matter what it landed on. Taki felt bad about beating her baby cousin so rather than be barbaric she’d make it into more of a sparring session but she wasn’t about to pull any punches so here’s hoping he was ready to defend himself.

It was different in sparring when it was basically a promise that the other person would pull their punches from you, or when his aunt would come at him with the kendo stick that she would hit hard, but she would only aim for a safe area. In this, Taki would be coming at him with the intent to hurt, but to build him up. It was something that scared him a little, but that he knew was required in order to make him strong.

So that was it, right? He had to be weak before he could be strong. He took in another deep breath and nodded. "I gotcha sis. Let’s get it!” he paused and laughed a little until he heard her next remark. The boy exhaled, bracing himself for the hit, his arms protecting the bulk of his chest and gut from the blunt strike of the chair. A loud huff came out as the chair struck him. For a moment, it knocked the air of his him. He allowed himself to recover, his hands clenching.

His eyes were fiery orbs of blue, and a shock even for himself, Goro would yell outward as if it was some sort of battle cry, egging Taki to hit him again. Again. Again. Harder. "Ahhhhhhh!” He exhaled again, tensing his muscles as she smacked him with the chair, barely able to block it appropriately as she had shifted it. His lips would purse and he would breath out slowly. "Tsssssuuuu.”

"Again!” he’d yell. "AHHHHHH!”

The girl would finish off her swing and would hear her cousin writhe in pain from being hit. "Don’t just sit dere and take it gory…defend yourself c’mon!” the girl would say, she had wondered if maybe he was trying to be tough and taking the shots but he kept asking for it. "C’mon get up! Just lemme know when you wanna stop?” the girl would lift the chair up once more and would swing the chair.

It was quick fast and snappy the boy looked like he might’ve been bruised from the first shot but the fact he was able to stand up after that was rather impressive she pulled her strike just a touch but that was a still a significantly hard hit that the boy managed to take and so if he could take it she’d dish it out on him yet again.

This one was erratic a swift shot to his right side his chest was more than likely sore from the blow but he was still able to breathe but if he wasn’t careful with this next one he’ll be feeling a sting for a good bit of time. "You alright?” the girl would say as she finished her sickening strike against his arm.

Dis is nothin’. How’s about we add some action into it tho. Imma try dodging from now on, and try to brace last second like ya said instead of just takin’ it!” With that being said, Goro backed up just a bit, readying himself for Taki’s engage. His stance was loose at the feet, and his eyes stared with an intense focus.

As the fight went on Taki would let up some rather hefty smacks with the chair the boy would drop to the ground and Taki would stop as he spat up seeing that he wasn’t fully listening, after a moment however he asked her to up the ante of her strikes. The girl would hold the chair over the back of her head he’d ask her to up the ante but that this time he wasn’t going to just take it trying to brace for each attack.

The girl would then raise her arm with the chair swatting at the boy with a powerful smash aiming to strike him in the leg the blow was punihsing she wouldn’t hit him full force knowing that even he couldn’t stand something that strong but would still give him a hard one.

"Brace yaself!” afterwards the next blow would come for his head forcing the boy to keep his hands up and needing him to possibly use his arms, lest he wanted to get an early dose of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy for his sake he had better block. "Get dhose hands up c’mon, do ya wanna give up?” the girl would say waiting to see the young boys reaction to being pummeled.

Truthfully, he was a bit disoriented by the barrage of attacks, though he’d already taken much more strength in hits than most Genin could likely stand. Taki wasn’t messing around, and the fact that he was still able to stand up and see straight was admittedly quite the feat.

He could see the next blow coming straight for his head, and he desperately brought his hands upward, forming an x over his yellow hair. He could feel the chair smash against him with such an incredible force that he could feel himself bending at the knees. He didn’t fall, however, and managed to successfully block the attack.

While it did hurt, it seemed he with each strike that passed, Goro was about to ignore the pain and even brace his muscles to cushion the impacts on command. That’s what he wanted to see. That’s what he needed to perfect.

His hands would remain up, and through the x formed with his arms, he would glare at Taki, a mischievous smile creeping through. "Da Okada don’ give up, sis.” He’d huff, spiffing to the side where a bit of blood from his lip would pool. "Keep ‘em coming a bit longer! I can take ‘em!”

As the girl kept hammering away at her younger cousin he finally seemed to start defending himself from her bevy of strikes, that brought a smirk onto the girls face. "That’s it Gory!” the girl would say cheering him on as she kept at it a semblance of pride in her words from him being able to withstand such an onslaught. As she kept at it asking him if he wanted to take a break he’d respond exactly how she expected him too.

"Atta boy!” with that she’d deliver a hefty smash to the boys head hoping he’d be able to keep himself on the up and up making these blows enough to dent the chair sending the final one via a spinning motion on her legs to amplify the speed of the strike cracking the chair over his back a stiff shot but that was part of the plan she’d look to see if he’d buckle.

"Don’t you fall over…Don’t you dare fall over.” she gritted her teeth as she spoke her words daring him to even so much as falter she knew he could do it. "C’mon don’t you dare land on your knees.” the chair laid in a broken heap with just the one leg of the chair left within her hand and the other smaller parts broken into pieces against the ground. "C’mon Gory you got it!”

Perhaps it was something that he picked up over the years with his parents, or maybe it was because he actually believed in her encouragement and it felt natural and genuine for her to cheer for him.

The heavy hits kept coming, but he continued to take them like a champ. In fact, the pain seemed to be more easily ignored than just moments before. He could hear the metal of the chair clatter and with each swing, he would tighten his muscles and with a deep exhale protect himself further from whatever damage he would have faced. "Gory what’s wrong?” the girl would say as she looked down at the younger boy.

He’d then ask what if he failed, hearing that would make the girls hear sink, she’d then kneel down towards the younger keeping her hands on his cheeks. "Hey you ain’t gonna do dat…” she’d say gently pressing her hand against the boy's cheek. "Cause we’re gonna get dat unda control, me and you okay…if anyone can handle dat pony it’s you!” the girl would say trying to motivate him.

"My cousins owns you not da odda way around!” the girl would say almost as if she were speaking to the beast itself, probably for the best that she didn’t get this creature when she had at one point competed for it unbeknownst to her.

It was not unfair to think that one filthy traitor made for discerning taste when the Gobi was at stake: The Okada were well reasoned, loyal individuals. It filled him with burning pride that it was one of his own, but the ANBU Captain did hold other things to higher regard: the village over the clan, after all.

It was also, therefore, unsurprising that he would be making use of his abilities to watch the two of them from afar, the same training that donned him with the provision of leadership. The Jinchuuriki could not fall down: both his own pride as an Okada could not allow it to happen, much less to those from the SHINOBI division of the clan.

Still, he had watched the previous Jinchuuriki with much trepidation: a loose nail and a poor shinobi, and was simply applying the same discerning movement to watching the current perform with Taki. Taki: another burning piece of pride, one of the only others to reach Jonin rank. Yō would "exit" the building, only to reenter moments later - announcing his arrival. He would clear his throat a few times and throw on a grin.

"YŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌŌ!" Yō burst through the 'front doors' and into direct eyeline, jumping to do a flying kick at Taki. It was choreographed, but clean: picture perfect for an expected grappler of the Okadas. "YŌ TO THE RESCUE! I GOTCHA BACK GORO!" he would move: having to dumb down his own abilities for the good of the village as he sailed mid air to Taki's face.

Goro’s head jolted over, and he took a step back, watching as his cousin Yō made his standard entry, energetic as always. Goro would smile, though the incoming flying kick towards Taki would have him forced to respond, he jumped out of the way, scrambling to not get caught in the chaos that he knew was probably about to ensue.

Yō had his back? Just what did he think they were doing?

Oh right…I guess to anyone watching it did kinda look like Taki was just beating him up for no reason earlier…From the ground he watched as the flying kick went outward towards Taki. Goro covered his face, fearful to see Taki get hit, but also fearful that Yō might have picked the fight with the wrong chick.

Could he have stopped it?

Yes, and no. Yes - because he could have chosen a shadow clone to do the work. He could have had shadow clones to back him up - he could have not used a technique without the appropriate means of displacement that left him airborne without recourse. So - no. He couldn't stop momentum without something to press off, and that manifested in a slight reversal of the grin on his face as he realised he was about to be powerslammed and powerless to do anything about it.

Taki was a strong woman, that was no doubt: and as he flew through the airspace and into Taki's willing hands - he gulped. And then, like a green demon, would make use of his body like he were a club and slammed him into the ground. A wheeze broke from his back and through his lungs. That was a bruise. A large bruise going to be developed.

As far as they knew, this was character of the 'Chunin' and with Taki being a Jonin there was no reason she'd not be able to deal with him. The high pitched whine maintained tone and zealousness as she celebrated and wondered where Yo would pop out from. When asked if he was a clone, he croaked. ^{"yep. imaclone."} But, facing the ceiling and regretting his choices, he rolled himself backward much to the chagrin of his back, and onto his knees- andu used his hand to prop up onto his knee and to stand up, all in all taking some ten seconds to do.

Of course, this was used to break free into a pose and a thumbs up from the shit-eating grin he was known for.
