This time, as she drew an enormous watery blade out of the ground, she would find that it was far more refined than it had ever been before - the edge was sharp, almost to a razor point, and the blade itself was far longer than ever before. Rather than looking something like a meat hatchet as it had before, it seemed almost more like a katana made of purest water. An impressive sight, to be sure.

Nonetheless, when she was finished, Homare stumbled forwards, almost falling off of her feet before managing to catch herself. Almost instinctively, Sho's hands went up as if to offer stability, only to retract from her as it became clearer she wasn't about to just fall over.

"Probably. Though, I wouldn't sit there if I were you. The entire area's soaked, its going to ruin your clothes."

Even now, it seemed Sho's first priority was on the comfort of the other person, even as his own muscles were beginning to ache from his own expenditure of chakra to help fuel the girl's escapades. Reaching into his bag over his shoulder, he rootled around for a second before pulling out a small bottle of water, holding it out to the other shinobi even as they sat amongst the enormous pillars of water that she had drawn up with their chakra.

"You probably don't need to be told this, but remember to get plenty of food, water and rest over the next few days. Chakra recovery is a pretty intensive process, so make sure your body has everything that it needs. You don't want post-mission hangovers, trust me on that."

Even now, Shosuke seemed almost one step short of giving her everything but the shirt on her back. It may be a little offputting honestly, the degree to which he's going out of his way to help her. Perhaps it would have been more comfortable if he had been expecting something in return. Either way, if she didn't take the bottle, he would slip it back into his bag and slide it back onto his shoulder.

"If you're going to be sticking around for the exams, I'd recommend you check up with your senpais. There's a bunch of stuff around here that might help if you're looking for inspiration or even something as simple as good food. Akazaya is a pretty nice place, if you know what you're looking for."

Homare sighs a little as this very helpful person suggests that she not sit right on the ground, but she can't deny that it's certainly less than comfortable to do so. Instead of voicing any kind of annoyance at the suggestion that she also get plenty of food, water, and rest, she simply accepts the water bottle that was offered to her, uncapping it and immediately drinking the entire contents in a rapid series of gulps. She was almost more surprised at it herself than she would have expected others to be, as she hadn't really felt all that dehydrated or thirsty before she'd been handed the bottle. Now, though, she definitely felt that she could at the very least chow down and then rest for probably an entire 24 hours, as depleted of her own chakra as she felt.

"I'll probably be all right, thanks in no small part to your intervention."

Indeed, she felt as if she would have fainted and probably slept right there on the training field if left to her own devices, so having Shosuke around was quite helpful for her. Even if she found his overly magnanimous nature somewhat odd, she would have probably shown him even more gratitude for his help if she weren't so exhausted; she felt as though she'd gone a full twelve hours of sword training in only about a half an hour of Ninjutsu training. It didn't help that her focus was more pointed towards training her body to produce more chakra reserves than on training her own mind and body to be able to focus chakra better, and she'd therefore used far more than necessary to make sure the technique was more draining and would be helping her to push herself to the very limits. The offer to stick around in Akazaya with her senpai more and see what Akazaya had to offer was enticing, but she felt she would more than likely just end up using this time to train while the village was open to outsiders; she really had only a passing interest in the Chuunin Exams this year, as she didn't feel that she was really ready for such a step when she'd only done some training in Suiton ninjutsu with her adopted parents.

"Mmmm. Good idea. I'll stick around for a short while before the Exams, at least."

She gets up from the ground again, able to do so more evenly now that she's had a moment to rest, though she's still somewhat exhausted. With a wave to Shosuke so he doesn't worry, she begins heading out of the training field.

"Thank you again, and goodbye, Mis- er, Shosuke."

It was a common mistake, and one that more people would make than they would like to admit to. Chakra exhaustion and physical exhaustion were a sneaky devil, they crept up on people before they really understood what was happening. Especially those who weren't gifted with supernaturally large chakra pools had to train quite a bit before they realised just where their limits were.

Hell, Shosuke was lucky that he had years to learn the limits of his abilities whilst working in the hospital rather than having to figure them out in training grounds like this. He might never have collapsed and slept somewhere like this, but he had dealt with enough people in his life who had to not be wary of the symptoms of chakra exhaustion.

Either way, he was just glad that she seemed to be okay, and more glad that she seemed to be promising to stick around, at least for a little bit. He couldn't help but smile at that, although he wasn't entirely sure why. There was something about this girl that was just pleasant to be around, once you got past the immediate suspicion she clearly had for anyone and everyone around her. She just seemed.... nice. "like good people", as Gramps would probably say.

Giving the girl a quick wave as she turned to slip away from the field, Sho waited until she was fully gone before sighing and flexing his hand, looking down at it. It felt strangely numb, likely as a result of having served as the port between their two chakra streams. Something to be aware of in the future it seemed.

Well, better to live by one's own advice than ignore it. Drinking whatever dregs of the water bottle were left after Homare was finished with it, he finished up before heading back towards town. Maybe he should get an early dinner himself...
