Ikana was getting older, and in her time, she'd come to become gradually more cold and desensitized to these sorts of things. She'd killed more than a few people in her time now, and she'd felt little sympathy or guilt. After all, she'd known from the start that this was what she was signing up for. That the life of the Shinobi was going to be difficult and full of strife and hardship. Hesitance was weakness and weakness was death. What more, she'd closed off her heart. Hurt one too many times. Having felt too many sorrows that plagued both her mind and soul. Ikana learned it was better to feel little.

As they dealt with their clowns, Ikana would scout through and take out some storage scrolls, utilizing some of her Fuuinjutsu as to take some belongings of which to sell in the store. Something that was never prohibited now that thier job was done. Perhaps it might have been a shock to introduce the Genin to a mission as brutal as this one was, granted, it was short lived. However, efficiency was an important thing, and she didn't feel the need to risk their lives to watch a clown show. Especially when they were potential participants. With that said, Ikana would write forth a dossier on the mission's completion as they made their way back to Kirigakure, though...

When Homare suggested getting wagashi once they returned home, An's tired face brightened slightly. The thought of sweet treats after such a grim mission was surprisingly appealing. "That sounds like a great idea, Mayonaka-san," she replies with a small smile, grateful for the distraction from the recent events.

As they continued sorting through the wreckage, An focused on salvaging whatever they could, her mind already drifting to the comforts of home. She nodded in agreement as Homare mentioned the possibility of earning some money from their findings, silently hoping that it would be enough to afford the indulgence of wagashi.

While Ikana seemed unfazed by the brutality of their mission, An found herself slightly struggling to reconcile the violence with her ideals. She admired Ikana's strength and efficiency but wondered if there could be another way. As they made their way back to Kirigakure, An couldn't shake the feeling of unease that gnawed at her.

Despite her exhaustion, An remained vigilant throughout the journey, her thoughts lingering on the horrors she had witnessed. She knew that returning home wouldn't erase the memories of this mission, but for now, the promise of wagashi offered a glimmer of comfort amidst the darkness.

An can grow, shape, and manipulate all forms of fungi, including but not limited to yeasts and mold, along with poisonous and non-poisonous mushrooms, thanks to the Gurē clan's KKG. An has the ability to grow fungi on just about any surface. Because An’s genetic makeup is more similar to that of fungi than that of humans, she can use techniques based on Fungi anatomy, such as secretions or enzymes from various Fungi. She can easily generate or grow any part of a Fungi's anatomy from her own body by using chakra to further alter her own cells. Finally, because these techniques are made from her own cells or bodily fluids, such as converting her saliva into a specific Fungi secretion, An is immune to their effects.

As a member of the Gurē clan, An has gained the potential to combine her body with flora and the ground itself because of the similarities in her genetic makeup to fungi. She is able to link her chakra to the underground network of organic matter, which includes plant roots, water veins, and decomposing materials. For example, An can hide in things like trees, shrubs and roots, soil, and so on. Once fused, not only is her presence completely hidden and only felt by those with chakra recognition, but it also allows her to travel within the subterranean web of organic matter up to 1 km before needing to emerge.

Consequently, she can employ advanced techniques for extended durations surpassing the capabilities of most individuals within her rank.
