With Taki once again back in town the girl was in the midst of her usual work for her family, overseeing the training of new members of the organization. It was pretty standard faire, but just as it seemed as thought Taki would be able to retire for the evening and cuddle up with her headphones and a radio drama that was when a shinobi made their way into the Okada family gym. "Lady Bakudan!” the shinobi would say. "Eh? Whoa what’s up…?” she’d note that the man looked as if he’d been roughed up.

"Squad 11 needs help we were ambushed by unknown assailants out in the country side during a patrol, I was told you were the perfect person for the job and could use some extra fire power.” Taki seemed a bit shocked by what had happened she’d known some of the members of squad 11 and wouldn’t allow them to be hurt. "Alright less go.” the girl would say, but not before looking to her aunt and telling her what the situation one as she exited her office. "Auntie, duty calls.”

With a sigh the woman would look to her niece, this was becoming a more frequent occurrence and it always worried her but she had to be strong. "Be careful out there darlin’, please.” Taki would nod to her before making her way to the gates with the squad 11 member.

"You guys got anyone else coming?” Taki would say to the red clad Iwagakure shinobi who ran along side her. "Well yes, we got you first but I also sent a clone to secure a medic also.” Taki would then think of who they could've asked for and with the head medic constantly busy only one person immediately came to mind, Tantetsu Souma.

Souma looked down at the attendant from within a clumsily coiled steel cocoon, suspended off the ground by two cables wrapped around nearby rock faces. A quick command to shorten both cables, and she unwound rapidly- too rapidly, judging by the unsteady breath she took afterwards, and the one after that. "Urgent? What is wrong?" She asked as she lowered herself to the ground, retracting the cables to coil behind her, each end protruding slightly along each wrist through the special slots in her gloves.

"A shinobi reporting an attack on Operations Team 11. They state that the Gorilla Sage has already been notified, but they want medical support in the likely case of injury." The words were delivered quickly, and so it was that Souma's response followed likewise.

"Understood. Did they say where to meet them?"

"They did." The locale was shared- memorized- and Souma nodded.

"I'll fetch the rest of my kit and depart at once."

It wasn't long at all before Souma arrived, having cut straight across the Hidden Village by running across or swinging around the tall spires of the many buildings' spires, coming down to land with them as her cables coiled out of sight up her sleeves. "I am ready to go. Do we have any intel?"

Once the girl arrived on the scene Taki would craft a series of hand seals as she awaited around for Souma to arrive she would summon her small chimp companion, after crafting a series of hand seals. "You know what to do.” she’d say as the small chimp was called upon and climbed onto the girls shoulders and begin gathering sage chakra. After a short moment Souma would arrive.

"There you are, good to have ya on the team jellyfish.” the girl would say as the girl arrived. The first question she’d ask was if they had intel smart question Taki had already been filled in but it seems a recap was in order. "We’ll talk on da way.” with that the two would make their way out of the gates and towards the scene of the incident.

"So as it toins out bandits are getting pretty crafty these days they align themselves with rogue shinobi, seems like dhese guys tracked em on dere way back to da village and ambushed em.” Taki would state.

"And one of ours members are down thankfully the captain Shinzo should be able to fend them off but if we don’t hurry things might be dire, by the way Souma, I’m Ito a pleasure to meet you.” With his introduction out of the way there was still one other unanswered question. "So…what do we know about out adversaries.” Taki would ask.

"Well one of them is a sensor and he’s the one who took down our team. So he’ll likely be able to see us coming.”upon giving his explanation Taki would think for a moment, based off of that information the element of surprise seemed to be lost to them.

"A sensor huh…what’s his specialty? How's he fight?” inquired the sage. "He’s a sniper by the looks of it, he’s a pretty good shot and managed to pick us off." Ito recalled his escape vividly seeing it all play out in his head as if it were only moments ago.

"I was able to get away thanks to the captain's jutsu but him and Nanabi are currently pinned down he’s got a barrier up to hold him off but it won’t last forever.” Ito would state, they had an enemy they couldn't see and not a lot of backup to rely on.

"This sounds bad…hey jellyfish don’t you got a technique for dat…to help keep us safe?” she’d say looking to Souma recalling something she’d seen her use once.

Souma brightened at the nickname and nodded firmly as Taki welcomed her, looking at the little chimpanzee and wiggling her fingers in greeting. She moved with everyone else- but it was only polite to say hello to one of the patron Gorilla spirits.

"On the way. Got it!" She chirped, staying close to ensure she can hear properly.

"Mmn. Scoundrels," muttered Souma to hear about the bandits and rogues. "Do we know if they are being paid? Or are we sure they are just bandits in it for the- um. Booty?" No. That was pirates. "Plunder?" That was better.

"Hello, Ito. It is a pleasure to meet you, too. I would introduce myself, but you know my family name and my personal name, so!" She nodded- introduction completed. "I will take good care of everyone, do not fear."

She glanced to Taki at the question and nodded firmly. "I do. Specifically for such situations as this. I assume from what you say that the sniper caught you on open ground, Ito? Since your captain is reliant on a barrier, that sounds likely. Fortunately," she offered, smiling confidently at the two. "My barriers do not need to be maintained."

As they moved, she thought a moment. "Taki-chan, you can carry just about anything, correct? Once we arrive, but before we break cover, I have an idea that should suit you perfectly!"

As the duo continued to make their way towards their destination, Taki would look over towards Souma as she asked her questions of their liaison as they made their way forward through the mountains. "Yes he came down on us as we made our way back and got and took down Nanabi with a series of arrow shots, we attempted to fight back but the captain figured after some time of us mostly dodging his offense that it was best to gather reinforcements, hence us being here now.” Ito would summarize, painting a picture in both of the girls minds about their given situation. "We don’t know why they’re attacking us just that they’re capable of using jutsu; no standard bow could fire arrows that fast or that hard.” he’d add.

"How is captain Shinzo keeping him down I thought his barriers only woiked in one direction.” Taki who had some familiarity with kekkai barriers understood that quite well. "You’d be correct he’s using shadow clones to keep them up and keep Nanabi guarded.” knowing the extensiveness of the jutsu and how shadow clones share chakra with the user.

"Shit…he might be almost out, he was no doubt too tiya'd to use some of his better techniques.”captain Shinzo was one of the toughest Shinobi that Taki knew and to hear him being so worn down was worrying. But before she’d say anything Souma had something to add a plan it would seem that would fit Taki perfectly but what was it? "Oh yeah wha're ya thinkin?” the girl would state.

Souma made a noise in her throat. A low sound, like a growl. She deeply disliked the sort of people that would prey on others for something as banal as profit. "Vicious, venal, villainous vagabonds," she muttered to herself before looking up to the others. She didn't often make eye contact, but she did now. This was An Important Moment.

"The steel domes I create form upwards from the ground, but they can be uprooted. I have two ideas. If we have SOME idea of where they are now- if we catch one of their shots towards the others, for instance- you can use your power and grip strength to pick one up and charge while we stay back until you engage the enemy. You won't be able to see, but we can help you steer- they'll probably try to take a shot or two, and we can throw kunai to your right or left so you know to adjust course one way or the other. That would get you in close- and there's nothing stopping you from dropping the dome, or using it as a bludgeon or shield, once you're there."

"The other idea is roughly the same, except we charge for the wounded, and one of both of us latch onto the inside of the dome so we can bunker down under the dome and tend to the wounded." She pauses, then points out, "Or we could do the second idea, and THEN the first idea. That might be even better."

As the girl relayed her plan, she went into great detail about what the team could do, however Taki hearing it would summarily dismiss part of the plan. "I get what you’re going for…but I don’t think our job is to take dis guy out, it’s to make sure that team 11 gets home safe.” Taki would state.

"I think a better course o action would be to keep you guarded and give you enough time to tend to Nanabi’s injury the extent of which we aren’t aware of yet.” the girl would state. "I’ve got more than enough durability to potentially take a shot or too and da sensory tools to find em, but I need time.”

"I agree, if we focus too much on taking out the enemy then Nanabi could die, we need you to stand by us. Can your domes cover the full perimeter of us?” Ito would ask. Taki didn’t have much of an answer for that one and mostly focused on herself and Aki Aki who was still gathering sage energy for her for the time being. "If so Captain Shinzo can rest Taki and I can focus on locating or distracting the enemy, if you manage to finish your procedure beforehand we can make a swift escape.”

"Yes- it is- but once I finish my work, we will still be sitting in the middle of a field, exposed to a sniper as soon as we move from beneath the dome. If we do not put him under any sort of offensive pressure, he can remain in his perch and fire on us as we leave cover, and one thing the domes are not, is transparent, which deepens the likelihood of ambush after emergence. I was trying to present as complete a plan as possible." Souma explained her thoughts, but took Taki's reply into account and nodded at Ito. "It can cover all five of us, yes. It will be crowded, but that much I can do. I can also restore chakra to Shinzo-sama after ensuring that Nanabi is stable and mobile. If you two are confident you can manage the sniper and cover our retreat, then we can do it that way." She looked between the two. "I trust your judgment of your capabilities."

She reconsidered with the added suggestions, and offered- "I would be exposed approaching their position. Transporting the dome with me clinging to the inside would put me where we need to be without necessarily tipping the sniper off to my presence. And after that, you two could handle distraction or offense as most appropriate, like you said. Does that sound more appropriate?"

As the trio made their way forward Taki would hear the girls plan but before speaking Ito would step in."If we do so, the sniper would find us irregardless, but it isn’t a bad plan if we can keep him distracted, Taki you and I can go ahead and try to weed him out. You have sensory correct.” the girl would look to Ito and nod. "I do…you lead da way and we’ll try and buy time for ya jellyfish.” the girl would remark looking back at her.

With that they’d dash off not too far ahead but close enough to be able to see the captains barriers. "There he is!” down below there would be a small barrier held up by 4 shadow clones each one seeming heavily fatigued. "Captain Shinzo…” the girl would say as she landed. "Taki…? You’re all grown up.” he’d say as he dispelled his clones. "Nanabi how’s she doing…” Taki would say kneeling down seeing an arrow pierced through her knee. "Not good, did you bring a medic?” Taki would nod too him as she took a step forward once he dropped the barrier.

"We did, she’s right behind us but we needed to clear a path for her, Taki can you find him…” after a moment Taki would use her sensory abilities to try and scan the area for his presence…but rather than locate his presence she’d feel the presence of his arrow as it raced towards her she’d take a step back locating him in the trees and would pull her fist back sending out a punch towards him however due to his sensory he was able to note the trail of chakra and would body flicker himself away towards another tree.

"Damn…hey Souma, now while he’s on the run get that dome up!” hopefully by then she would’ve arrived with enough time to catch up.

Souma frowned in faint confusion- her idea hadn't been to hide them so much as to use the dome as cover while on the move- but she nodded to Taki, trusting her superior experience in the field. "Okay. Let us try it that way. I will follow as fast as I can when you give the signal."

It was a little nervewracking to remain in position and watch her best friend and Ito charge across open terrain. She wasn't a sniper herself, but she fought at range often, and an open field with a clear destination meant that leading a shot was as easy as it ever could be- but no shot came. Souma frowned deeper and rubbed at one of her hairstrands, thinking. Was he trying to get as many people into the trap as possible? They must have known the captain was nearly out of energy. Avoiding deterring new arrivals would be in his best interest if he planned to take his time and whittle them down to nothing.

The moment she heard her name, she threw out one of her loose-sleeved arms, launching one of the cables spooled behind her back at breakneck speed towards the others, launching into a spring even as the cable flew. It landed most of the way between herself and the others, and she leapt into the air, retracting the cable and catapulting her towards the quartet, landing almost on target and sliding into position. As she skidded to a stop, she slammed a hand down onto the ground, and a hemisphere of steel erupted from the turf and swung overhead, clanging down on top of the trailing cable, wedged just barely open to preserve the light inside.

"Hello. I am Tantetsu Souma, Medical Corps. I will be providing chakra replenishment and medical care." As she spoke, she looked at Nanabi's leg, leaning to see if the arrow went all the way through- or would need to be pushed through, broken, and withdrawn, before she healed it.

Slamming a hand or foot into the ground, a dome immediately erects around the user and anything near them, springing up as fast as a thrown kunai or shuriken. The steel is thinner and normally would be dented much easier, but due to the hemispherical shape of the dome, it is much more resilient than one much first suspect, though significant physical force can still pierce the dome easily. Plus, being able to see outside of the dome is virtually impossible without another technique or removing the dome.

"He’s fast…but he can’t use that technique for long.” Ito would remark. "Ito he’s up in the trees you got anything you could use to nab him.” Taki would ask. "I think so.” with that he’d form a few hand seals and toss a set of shuriken in the direction he’s told by Taki. "Fire style propulsion technique!” with that a series of shuriken would make their way towards the man in question but as he attempted to dodge Taki would hone in on him.

"To the left!” the girl would state Ito would manuever his shuriken to nail him in the leg with a deep cauterizing wound. "Gaah!” the man would cry as he was struck by the technique in question. "Nice shot!” Taki would add, now let’s keep it up!

With that they’d follow the injured man as he made a poor landing along the ground, his leg clearly injured, with the time he had he’d attempt to craft a series of hand seals and summon a clone made of earth. Ito and Taki would nod to each other and jump into the fray, Taki taking the clone and Ito taking the man himself.

With the last of her sage mode Taki would throw a punch whose energy would smash into the clone breaking it apart meanwhile Ito could charge his foe and attempt a barrage of blows the first two would land but the enemy would turn his body on his functioning leg and make his way back up into the trees. "Hey Souma, is that dome sound proof if not cover your ears.” as the girls sage mode would be relinquished she’d prep herself for another technique taking one last moment to pin point her foe.

Meanwhile Nanabi was suffering from injury from the arrow lodged in her leg if one would look closely and note there appeared to be a substance coated in it, some kind of poison? No it was Katon more than likely used to increase the damage done to the wound and the temperature was still burning if it was removed soon there'd be no telling if the muscle could be repaired, but what would Souma do a makeshift surgery to treat the wound or a simple removal and dressing of the wound in order to allow for safe return to Iwagakure for better medical help.

Souma focused entirely on Nanabi's wound, letting the dome provide cover and protection as Ito and Taki took the fight to their attacker. The foreign substance was worrying, but she had a way to resolve that while tending to the wound itself.

"Please try to hang in there. This is not going to feel pleasant, but will put you in the best position possible to evacuate afterwards," Souma stated simply, hands flashing through seals rapidly: DogTigerBirdDragonSnake. As she finished, Suiton poured out of one hand into a gleaming, rippling blue blade. She narrowed the chakra scalpel down to extending from a single finger, calmly slicing through the arrow's shaft, and quickly pulling the other half free- undoubtedly agonizing, but it wouldn't last long.

Souma made a small cut in Nanabi's leg to expose the tendons and ligaments in her leg, ensuring she could manage their recovery during the next step while simultaneously purging everything foreign in the wound. Releasing the scalpel, she made two more hand seals, then reached gingerly into the wound to pinch a severed tendon together, starting the healing there. Through her hand on the wound, she began carefully modulating the chakra being poured into the injury. First, ensuring the ligaments and tendons reconnected; then simply weaving shut the damage to the muscles, the subcutaneous fat, the skin, the veins, the nerves, rapidly reweaving everything.

The blood was everywhere. The pain still fresh in the mind- but no longer present. Souma let out an unsteady breath as she finished, reaching to put Nanabi's hands over her ears and doing the same. "Captain, you heard her- cover your ears," Souma said, doing the same.

It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique to it's full potential. As miraculous as this technique is, it should be known that it can only speed up what the body is already capable of doing.

With her chimp companion trying his hardest the girl would feel the next bit of energy surge into her for the moment and as such the girl would use her sage mode energy to watch as the thief would make their way up but after being braced for impact the team would cover their ears and Taki would take a brief moment to let out a scream that would rattle the environment and also cause the man that she was facing to lose his footing in his attempted escape and tumble down to the ground.

As he did so he’d find it hard to stand due to his lack of equilibrium. With their opponent down Ito would make his way towards the man and place his foot on his back and restrain him. "Looks like he’s down.” Taki would sigh with relief, but just as victory seemed at hand the man would seemingly remove the top of his vest revealing paper tags. "Ito get down!” Taki would rush into the fray as the paper bombs ignited and then after a moment there was a detonation of fire, thankfully Taki was able to shield Ito by getting him to the ground. "You okay?” she’d ask. "Y-yeah…” looking back there a smolder on the ground and small deposits of flesh that littered.

Meanwhile with a successfully completed surgery, Nanabi was resting but was surely in a great deal of pain from the ordeal, in addition to this Captain Shinzo was on the verge of exhaustion, leaning against the metal frame that would’ve no doubt felt the rumble from the explosion potentially exasperating Nanabi's injury during the delicate process.

As the ripple of the shriek rattled the steel of the dome, Souma winced and cringed, a jagged ripple sliding down her tendril-like hair as she fought not to react worse. She did not like loud noises, not in the slightest. But with the moment passed, she moved on her knees to put her palms to Shinzo's chest, letting a gentle flow of Chakra leave her body and slip into his, replenishing his ravaged stores as she split the chakra she had left, sitting back on her heels as she finished, breathing hard from the rapid exertion to deliver so many jutsus in such a short time. She'd be fine, of course- only the healing technique and sharing her chakra had been particularly draining- but "I still have enough chakra to do my job" was not the same as "that wasn't exhausting on its own."

Which was about when the rumble for the explosion shook the dome and everyone inside. Almost immediately, Taki and Ito heard a pounding on the steel dome. "Taki-chan?! Ito-san?! What just happened?!" It was all she could do not to wrestle the dome up and off them to look. But doing so would expose those left in her care, and as much as she wanted to know, for a fact, that Taki and their companion were alright...

She couldn't. She'd have to wait for the all clear.

With Shinzo now feeling his strength restored it would seem that Souma was running on empty, and on the outside Taki and Ito would look around at the remains. "I’m not sure who this shinobi was working for, but whoever he was, he wanted to make sure we never found out.” Taki would look around at the grisly sight, bonem blood and flesh riddling the once lush forest with it's putrid odor. "Souma, Mista Shinzo, Nanabi da coast is clear, there was an explosion but we’re good here.” she’d say calling out to them allowing them to drop their barrier.

From there the girl would remove a chakra pill form out of her ration pouch and offer it to Ito. "You need one sir?” the girl would say Ito would politely decline. "No thank you…” "Suit yaself.” with that she’d make her way towards the dome gently knocking on it to make sure that everyone is safe.

"Everyone okay in here? I’ve got chakra pills if anyone needs one.” the girl would ask, awaiting for the dome to open. She had wondered how everyone was doing. Inside Captain Shinzo looked like he needed to take 5 and Nanabi was practically unconscious. "I say we take a few minutes to rest and we can head towards the nearest town it'll more than likely be dark by the time we get there.” Ito would state looking to the young Okadan who stood beside the Tantetsu's large steel dome

"There’s a town just up ahead I think team 11 and I can rent an Inn, if you want two wanted too head back to the village on your own." He'd add. Taki would wait for Souma to decide, thought personally she'd rather head back on her own. "We'll figa dat out layta for now...” the girl would allow her to self to take a seat, landing right on her bum and looking over at her small chimp companion before sprawling out on the ground as her transformation faded. "I’m exhausted…two gatherings o sage mode energy is more den I can normally handle, thanks for looking out for me Aki."
