One of the great things about Suna being such a tight knit village is that it wasn't difficult to find the person or thing you needed to help you along in life, though sometimes that unfortunately led one to particularly awkward situations and in this case there wasn't another option. Alas, advancing in one's journey did not come without pushing though uncomfortable situations but Asahi just wished that it was in the vein of a tough mission or learning a new technique instead of women problems, but perhaps he'd be able to focus solely on the training ahead and deal with that other stuff... later.

But why were things so awkward, one might ask, and the answer to that question happened to be the same if one were to ask who one of the top fuinjutsu users in all of Suna was, who Asahi had asked to help him with his training today and who he was/had dated for a while: Arashi; the last situation was a bit unclear. Outside of possibly his boss there was no one else better to ask so it only made sense and if the chunin truly wanted to become a better asset for the village then increasing his skills was the foundation. He had the aptitude for fuinjutsu and had developed it nicely over the years but there was more to learn and higher heights to reach.

The sun was as bright and hot in the morning sky as any other day and seemed to shine just a bit brighter over the training grounds that Asahi was idling about in, his hand scrawling over a blank sealing tag trying to get a bit of last minute practice in; they had been pretty useful in situations where drawing a seal on a surface wasn't a feasible option.

Awkward was one of the few thoughts going through Arashi's mind as she appeared behind Asahi, watching from a distance as she could see him working upon what looked like a blank seal tag, her expression blank as she began considering just how this would exactly go down. Honestly, with the way things were right now, she wasn't certain just what their position was. She certain hadn't been upfront on just what she had been up to, of course, neither had he when he up and disappeared without a word. Though maybe it would be best to just not even mention it? Would it be better to just ignore it and move on? It was one of those situations where the elephant was almost as big as the room itself. Of course, it came down to who would likely mention it first to even bring it into question, and while she was almost tempted to considering how she had been worried out of her mind, a part of her felt that the focus of this meet up wasn't about them. In fact, it wasn't about her either.... The only reason Asahi had been disappearing like he had was likely due to him wanting to be a better shinobi. That was his goal and from what she had been hearing, he was determined to improve in every way possible. There was no way she'd get in the way of that...nor did she want to... Keeping herself hidden behind a rocky surface, Arashi would release a soft breath, placing her hand close to her chest before then fading away before reappearing once more behind him, her expression calm as she spoke lightly. "That isn't bad....though ya wanna make sure that when your working with tags that your strokes have clear definition to them..." Looking toward him, she'd then look to the side as she held her hands behind her back before then looking upward. "I mean...thats what Hirokai-sensei taught me anyway....if it isn't clearly defined and each symbol isn't exact, you end up with two opposing forces acting against each other..." His mind focused on completing the tag in his hand while trying to block out any other thoughts prevented him from noticing when a certain someone had entered the area. Asahi's range as a sensor, even without really focusing, had grown but if his thoughts were elsewhere and there wasn't someone actively using chakra then things still had the ability to slip pas him. It wasn't until the woman began to speak directly behind him that the chunin even noticed someone was there, nearly dropping the tag as the hairs on the back of his neck bristled.

Turning to face Arashi it was clear that the awkward feeling was a shared one and he wondered how they'd get through this lesson if they couldn't even look each other in the eye. Eyeing the seal once more the chunin took note of the lazy lines on a couple places. Fuinjutsu was an intricate practice that required precision to avoid the seal failing or worse, so Asahi would have to ensure that his brush strokes were crisp going forward. "Ah.. yeah, I'll make sure they're better quality next time." He replied, never shifting his gaze from the paper seal.

What were they to do? There was a very obvious thing they could talk about right now but opening that can of worms would probably have them here all day and get no training done, so hopefully the two could just power through and work on that other stuff another time. "Thank you for taking some time to help me out. Where did you want to start?" Yep. Just focus on the task at hand. If they stayed busy then it would be more difficult to get sidetracked by other stuff... hopefully. To be honest Asahi didn't really know what Arashi had in store for his training as fuinjutsu was a sizable umbrella that covered quite a few things. Supplementary seals to unleashing elemental explosions and everything in between. Perhaps it would be a more theory based session. Only time would tell.

Asahi didn't even look away from the tag with her behind him, but then again, she wasn't exactly impressing upon him her usual behavior either. Making this feel more and more like it was going to be a difficult process for both of them. Still, Arashi wasn't going to make this about anything else. Especially with something that he had wanted to learn and she was one of the few top experts out there. "Yea...no problem..." Arashi would cross her arms over her chest before then looking slightly at him from the corner of her eye, stopping short of staring as he then began to ask just where she wanted to start with training him, leading to her moving forward a bit before kneeling down as she held up her finger and began moving it across the surface of the sand. "Best way to start is from whatcha know right? There are two concepts when it comes to Sealing Jutsu and the principles behind each one have the merits of differing theories....One is that Fuinijutsu...is the collection symbols that when imprinted with chakra, can cause effects that are stated in print...like stopping fire or simply creating a vacuum to consume..." In saying this, the young woman would continue to draw with her fingertip, creating a seal across the surface and then drawing another line toward yet another symbol. "Though the second concept..which honestly is about as crazy as ya can get...is the idea that there is a systematic link between the written words and the will of the user. This...with that in mind....it is the will of the user themselves that is capable of breaking the rules of reality and shifting it to their whim for just the briefest of moments, allowing their expressed commands to be obeyed and twisting the world and physics all the hell..." After saying this, she'd then pull herself back up to her feet, resting one hand on her hip as she continued to look down at her work. "The truth is...each of these concepts hold value in explaining the logic behind Fuinijutsu...and one really can't start on it's own without the other...because if ya just have to put chakra into your words...ya only get Genjutsu....and even then...those are just illusions...which wouldn't explain much...but if you can imagine the user bending the laws of reality...that still doesn't add up to it answering only to the written commands..." Closing her eyes, Arashi would then click her tongue before then looking at Asahi with a calm expression. "Hence...ya get the combination of the two...which creates what is known as the Sealing Formula...." Building upon what he already knew was going to be their starting point and honestly it was a good idea as so often people could get caught up on trying to get to the next big thing that they'd forget about the basics. Not to say that after years of practice the base principles couldn't become second nature but a refresher was always nice. The chunin would watch as Arashi explained the first of two pillars regarding fuinjutsu which were the symbols that made up the seals. Each one had a meaning and would interact with other to create the creators desired effect but that was why it was so important that the symbols be crisp --in terms of those written-- or that it was understood how symbols would interact with one another. Easy enough.

The second pillar, however, nearly went over Asahi's head what with talk of bending and breaking reality. It was true that the ability to trap and release almost anything because of some weird looking symbols was definitely unique, especially in the world of shinobi, so framing it as such wasn't that farfetched he supposed. After all, the Kyokujitsu had learned techniques that could create smokescreens without the use of weapons, immobilize a person completely, or create a slicing blast of wind out of nowhere and if those weren't examples of bending reality then what was? Alas, it was the combination of those two pillars that created the field of fuinjutsu and a successful seal could not be produced without both.

"Yep, can't have one without the other. Never thought of it as reality breaking before, but it's a good way to put it." Asahi would reply. Creating miniature suns that could evaporate people on contact or being able to play host to a demon seemed like reality breaking concepts themselves but somehow fuinjutsu was finding a way to be even more of an oddity.

"Its one of the few things in the universe that can't really be explained outside of the theory that it was all to the will of the "Father" of Ninjutsu", but considering what exist out there...." A small smile crossed Arashi's lips as she then allowed it to fade away before coughing into her hand. "Anyway...the Sealing Formula is based on those two principle concepts and with understanding it, it presents the possibility of using Fuinjutsu techniques to their full potential" In brushing the side of her shorts, the young female would then begin to take a few steps back as she prompted the curse marks on her flesh to flare up briefly. As one became present on her palm, she'd activate it as it summoned forth a folded Fuma Shuriken, appearing into her grip before causing the marks to fade away. "Techniques that basically can summon objects...to those that can even teleport you and others to different locations, these involve some level of direction, but it acknowledges the foundations of the Sealing Formula...if you want to be able to improve Fuinjutsu, you have to look passed the limitations that are considered facts. Ideas like Physics, conditions, stuff like that...ya gotta ignore it and just focus on what it is you want to happen and it will happen..." Arashi would then clip the strap holding the weapon together, popping it open as it unfolded into the large star-shaped blade. The possibilities were endless when it came to the sealing arts and it was evident in Arashi's display. He was unsure if that ability was one that came from playing host or a technique she had learned otherwise but it was clear that it was fuinjutsu all the same. Lessening or in some cases eliminating the need to carry around extra equipment was also a boon and probably helped lend credence to the bending reality part. Powerful weapons and equipment that could be summoned from just a touch of the skin, or like Arashi mentioned being able to teleport people which was something that the chunin didn't know was possible.

"The synergy between symbols and the will to bring an object to you are the founding principles... got it. Never really thought about the 'will' part but I guess just activating the seal was that all along." A soft hum would leave the boy as he thought over the ideology of fuinjutsu some more. To him it was just using the correct symbols to get the desired effect. "Had no idea you could move people with fuinjutsu though. Shuriken and stuff sure, but I can't image the type of seal you need to teleport people around." Asahi would add.

A refresher and even a bit of new info was welcomed but how was that going to help Asahi become more adept in his skills? He needed something that would push his ability to a level that he deemed acceptable for someone who was tasked with guarding the Kazekage. "I guess I'm just looking for something stronger. I've learned a lot of the utility seals and even some decent offensive ones, but the set up takes a while and some of them are easy to spot in the middle of a fight. Maybe stronger isn't the right word, but getting them out quicker with less telegraphing of what I'm trying to do."

For all the great things one could do with fuinjutsu there were definite drawbacks including seals needing to be placed in nearly all cases and being rather stagnant. It was hard to catch an opponent off guard when they saw him place an entire seal and could avoid that entire area.

"I mean...technically it's more or less a rumored technique that uses Fuinijutsu to transport people to different locations based on movement through a dimensional rift in reality..." Shrugging her shoulders, Arashi would look upward as she considered it some more. "Honestly, anyone with that kinda ability could literally do anything..." In the end, the purpose had at least been to give some insight into just how unlimited the abilities were when it came to Sealing Techniques and to go into foundations that came with it. Understanding the rules were pointless if you weren't able to enact them when it counted. That was one of the drawbacks to Fuinijutsu, and why it was such a dying shinobi art. It was too slow for some and even complex to others. Aside from the few old people that practice it, there weren't many that held interest in it. Which seemed to be what Asahi was implying. He was looking to learn a technique that didn't give itself away and created a point where it would be difficult for someone to tell just what was happening until it was too late. Placing one hand beneath her face, she'd begin to consider what seals she knew that were hard to figure out instantly. "Save from hidin behind another jutsu...I can only think of a few that are hard to pinpoint right away...." Closing her eyes for a moment, she'd rotate her arm a bit as the weight of the weapon moved in a circle at her side, then stopping as she snapped her fingers. "Okay...I think I got one...but its a bit tricky...If ya not careful...ya might end up in another dimension..." In saying that, she'd then look to the side as she continued. "Or meetin God...but pretty sure it's safe..." The people moving technique was either theoretical or an urban legend but either way it was one that he wouldn't be learning today. Perhaps it had just been an anecdote for the vast possibilities of fuinjutsu and in that regard it had definitely worked to pique his interest, though this had been a field Asahi had been dabbling in since his genin days so the interest had already been there; perhaps he would try and look into the aforementioned technique later on but for now whatever Arashi had to offer in terms of insight he would take.

After what seemed like an eternity of contemplation the woman finally landed on a jutsu she'd be able to share with him though it came with the warning that if used improperly there was a chance he could find himself in another dimension. He had no idea if she was joking but risk was inherent in nearly all techniques so there wasn't much he could do in terms of scaring him away from it. Besides, Arashi hadn't even told him what it was so there was no way he could make a true decision without all the facts.

"That's uh.. a hell of a caveat, but it sounds interesting. I'm down to see what it does at the very least." Asahi replied in a curious tone. If he could just find that one thing to help bolster what he could already do the chunin felt like he could really take that next step in his shinobi career, but looking for that answer in such a specialized and at times complex field was a tough task.

"I'll bet..." It was short response, but her tone did hint at a small bit of something, though she quick to move on as she began to summon sand toward her palm and began to shift them into three separate objects. Each one was shaped in a similar tag like fashion, but their markers and symbols present on each were different and seemed to have directional points upon their upper surface. From there, Arashi would begin to move out a bit as she moved passed Asahi and started to lay down each marker. "Sanbō Kyūka...The Three Jewels Suction Crushing...this seals creates a vortex that is capable of pulling in objects to a certain point in which they are positioned and then collapsing in on itself in the same measure. This can also work as a way of trapping someone if you manage to set up something previous as well...plus...if your careful...you can also make sure that they literally won't see it coming..." As she continued to set the markers down, her back would remain to him, though soon shifting to him as she held up three fingers with a serious expression. "Repeat after me....'Buddha', 'Dharma', and 'Sangha...." It didn't take a superb sense of hearing to catch what Arashi had said, or more specifically her tone, but Asahi was focused on whatever technique she was about to show him and would deal with that other stuff later. He recognized how awkward things were and while she surely had plenty of questions about a certain period of time where the boy had not been present she didn't see him being petty about the fact that the woman had literally swapped placed with someone for months on end. Taking a moment to still himself internally he would listen to Arashi's explanation about the technique and its capabilities.

From the looks of things it required placing three separate sealing tags thus creating a centralized area that would suck objects in before folding in on itself either trapping or just outright crushing whatever was unlucky enough to be caught inside. The jutsu sounded powerful and Arashi's mentioning of a method to help avoid its detection was exactly what the chunin was looking for; she really had come through for him. He'd take note of the slightly different looking seals and how they each corresponded to a different direction but there were also words associated with the technique as well which was new for him.

"Buddha.. Dharma... Sangha." Asahi would repeat after Arashi. Committing those words to memory would take some time but his hope was they would allow him to activate the technique at a moments notice instead of the target needing to trip the seal themselves like was the case with so many other fuinjutsu.

Asahi would repeat these words back and Arashi would nod as she placed down the final marker. "Those are the three foundations of Buddhism...or you can also call it the Triratna...The Awakened one...The Teachings...and Order...Each can't work without the other so you have to have all three working in unison for the technique to work...which means..." Pointing down toward the markers, she'd indicate their small arrows pointed toward the same position at the center, with the space between them looking similar to that of a triangle. From there, the young woman would then make her way back toward him, double checking their surroundings as she then began to step back as she looked outward. "It's best to have some distance...everything that comes toward that spot will literally be passing through a rift and basically shattered into nothing when coming out the other end..." From there, she'd perform a single seal, causing the rift to open as a vortex would seem to form at the point over the three markers. The sudden shift in current would begin to pull at the area itself, drawing in everything from sand to rocks and even rattling the landscape as cliffs were starting to break apart and be drawn toward the seal. With the draw of force continuing to pull things in, Arashi would then release the seal, causing the vortex to vanish, leading to much of the debris falling down around them and what remained of the landscape to appear almost scattered and somewhat battered by the sudden storm of events from the shift. This triad of seals are placed on congruence to one another, forming a triagonal set of points as chakra is flushed into all three seals. Within a straight shot of thirty meters in the direction where these three seals face, a powerful vacuum will be created, sucking all those within the field in between the seals. The force is enough to rip trees and boulders from the ground, compressing and pulverizing the victims as they grow closer and closer to the space between the three seals. Once passing through, all that will be left is broken debris and dust, the targets having been destroyed as a consequence. There were a hefty amount of terms thrown at him in the next few moments and it was clear where the foundation for this technique came from, or rather what it was influenced by, though he couldn't quite figure out how religion played a role in coming up with a jutsu. Oh well, the only important part was that all three names had to be written on the seals for the technique to work. Asahi would take some steps back as Arashi advised to avoid getting roped into the jutsu himself. There were a couple things he had learned over the years that had a bit of a radius but mostly dealt with immobilizing and lacked the crushing aspect.

With the two now a safe distance away he would watch as the woman performed a single seal to activate the technique and as the tags sprang to life a strong vortex would open up at their epicenter and begin to suck everything in. Sand, rocks, geologic formations began to shift and crumble under the force of the jutsu and be pulled in. Asahi's eyes widened in amazement as he could feel the power of the technique both in seeing it and sensing the immense amount of chakra it was generating. Getting caught in this would spell the end for just about anyone he surmised and it was something he definitely wanted to learn as quickly as possible.

With another seal the vortex would close and the area around them would begin to settle. Clouds of dust still wafted around the area, various pieces of rock and stone in all sizes rolled to a halt and had he not known better Asahi would guessed that a string of exploding notes had just gone off. Alas, it was a jutsu that was so, so much more powerful. "Wow, that's a hell of a technique, and definitely what I'm looking for." The chunin spoke still curious as to how he could further hide the seals but couldn't worry about that until he actually learned how to do the technique.

As Asahi confirmed that this was indeed the technique he was looking for, Arashi would look at him with a calm expression, allowing a smile to cross her lips as she found herself seeing something briefly in the distance. The image was faint, and in truth, it was no more than a memory. It was instant, but it was enough to draw her out of it for a second, soon returning back to the present as she began to speak. "Its as devastating as three sets of explosives tags...though like I said...if ya aren't careful with it...it can easily blow up in your face...so lets avoid that..." Raising her brow, Arashi would then look down as she noted the markers she had made, kneeling down as she picked up one of them as to show the cracks along the edges. "But it has a weakness..depending on what you use as the medium for it, it can easily be disrupted and without all three, the vortex will disappear on it's own..." Arashi would then cause the marker to vanish into dust, prompting her to rest her arm at her side as the other remained upon her hip. "Anyway...lets start having you try...I'll show you how to write the symbols...still have those tags?" His comparison to explosive tags wasn't far off and even if it didn't grab anybody the amount of disruption this jutsu could do to the surrounding area was still intense. Still, every technique had a drawback and this one's was fairly obvious: the seals. They were the foundation of the technique and if even one was wrecked it would end the jutsu altogether. Unfortunately that was very common when it came to fuinjutsu and it was something that Asahi was hoping to find a defense for going forward. Breaking a seal could bring with it the jutsu activating earlier than anticipated or malfunctioning in general which is why it was the chunin was so determined in looking for a method to better hide and/or protect his seals.

"Yeah, seems to be the problem with a lot of fuinjutsu." Asahi replied. From his pack he would pull out a few of the blank sealing tags he utilized specifically for techniques like this along with a pen. "Yep never leave the house without 'em." So now it was his turn to give it a shot. It seemed pretty straightforward but was dependent on the seals being drawn correctly complete with the directional arrows facing the correct way. Slowly but surely the chunin would try his hand at drawing the three words Arashi had spoken to him before: Buddha.. Dharma... Sangha. One on each tag finished with an outward facing arrow.

"How do they look?" He would inquire. Being able to generate the seals out of sand at a moments notice would have been great but the cost for such an ability was not one Asahi was willing to pay so he'd have to settle for the old fashioned method. Hopefully everything looked up to par as the chunin was excited to give this a go.
