Uhm - Junichi found what Taro was talking about a little hard to follow, at least in relation to his question. Was it supposed to be part of his answer? Rain was nice, sure, but even enjoying it and the cleanliness it brought didn't mean much in terms of rules.
Was it a way of saying that getting completely bloody and dirty was fine because the rain would always wash it away? That was a strangely optimistic way to view violence, and something that Junichi couldn't relate to at all, but he wasn't even sure if that was what Taro was saying.
Luckily, Taro did eventually offer an actual answer. No blades. That was good. Junichi took off his own belt and set aside all his sharps. He also took Shabontama off his back and set it with everything else. That staff was made of a hefty and durable metal and he knew well enough that it could crack someone's skull. He didn't want to do that to Taro.
He would keep his wooden staff, though, just in case.
"Okay...," he answered, clearly hesitant. Really, he probably wouldn't hurt Taro that badly, but knowing that was how Taro thought made Junichi more willing to take this super seriously. "Please show me what you can do as well."
Usually he would bow to initiate a spar, but he got the feeling Taro might take advantage of an opening like that? Any opportunity, right? So instead he merely squared up and gave Taro a nod of recognition.
In the exams, he'd developed a bad habit - playing defensive, letting the other person move first and waiting to react. He didn't want to do that this time, so the second Taro also acknowledged he was ready, Junichi would move forward, trying to close the distance. He took a deep breath and pressed his hands together in a seal, trying to spit a blast of soap right at Taro. The blast was pretty quick, but also pretty predictable.
NAME: Jōton: Sekkenkō (Cleansing Release: Soap Shell)
CHAKRA COST: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu, Kekkei Tōta
ELEMENT: Jōton
DESCRIPTION:
Performed in much the same way as the Suiton: Teppōdama, a highly concentrated blast of soap and bubbles is formed in the gullet and then fired towards the opponent at great speed and delivering significant impact. This can seriously hurt, especially at close ranges, leaving bruises and contusions if hit at point blank range. Once the bubbles hit something, they cease being bubbles, popping and leaving a soapy residue. This means that this tech can't be used with other techs that require free standing bubbles, like say, D Rank's Awahara.
