Mizuki's substitution unfolded with an artful precision, perfectly synchronized with the explosive clash of jutsu and the thunderous detonation of kunai. The ensuing chaotic symphony that reverberated across the battlefield bore witness to the heightened intensity of the confrontation. Seamlessly, Mizuki executed the switch with their clone, strategically positioned well in advance of the impending collision. The clone, well-versed in Mizuki's water transformation, promptly liquefied, skillfully evading the full impact of the colliding jutsu and the explosion from the kunai.

As the settling rubble marked the aftermath of the clash, the bubble clone deftly maneuvered its way to the summit of the rubble pile. Hesitating on whether to persist in their assault, the enemies observed as Mizuki's clone swiftly reconstituted atop the rubble with a fluid and purposeful motion. Starting with their hands shaped like handguns, the clone seamlessly utilized Mizuki’s chakra sensory abilities to take aim before their eyes had even fully rematerialized.

Three impeccably precise shots resonated across the battlefield, each carrying a lethal intent designed to catch the enemy off guard, considering the usual lethal outcome of a massive clash like the one that had just occurred. The initial round targeted the taijutsu specialist who orchestrated the attacks, aiming to disrupt their command. Initially overlooking their significance, Mizuki recognized their role as the sole commander during Mizuki's surrounded predicament. The subsequent shots were expertly directed at each of the underlings stationed on the wall, systematically eliminating threats.

Meanwhile, Mizuki's main body remained discreetly hidden, strategically positioned nearly 20 meters away, sipping away at their water bottle. They observed the aftermath of the clash, prepared to make a move if any of the enemies were skilled sensors and somehow knew where they were. The calculated maneuver had met the enemy onslaught head-on, leaving the field in an anticipatory hush as both parties assessed the intricate aftermath of the intense exchange. The echoes of earth, wind, and water gradually subsided, creating a tense lull in the air, heightening the suspense as the outcome of this intricate dance of jutsu hung in precarious balance.

TLDR: get the main body out and have the clone turn into water. pew pew pew

NAME: Suika no jutsu [Hydrification Technique]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Hijutsu
ELEMENT: Water
DESCRIPTION:

This technique makes it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. From a single hair, to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified at will. Be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. Applying this technique, the user can also modify their body parts for suitable situations or even use the liquid as projectiles. In order to use this technique, the user must remain hydrated, lest the user not being able to use this or other Hozuki techniques.

The only way to contain a user of this technique is to lock them up in an airtight container so they cannot move about. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like state. Since this technique turns the body into water, the Hōzuki are extremely vulnerable to Lightning Release techniques. Along with Scorch Release techniques.

NAME: Mizudeppo no jutsu [Water Gun Technique]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Hijutsu
ELEMENT: Water
DESCRIPTION:

The user mimics a fire gun with his hand and, through the Hydrification Technique, compresses a drop of water in their index finger, firing it with tremendous force and speed similar to a gunshot. The technique is able to easily pierce through solid wood and stone but it has trouble actually destroying it. The average range being about 20 meters.

NAME: Mizufūsen Bunshin [Water Balloon Clone]
RANK: B
REQUIREMENTS: High Chakra Control
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: Water
DESCRIPTION:

A clone that is created by using the Hydrification Hijutsu of the Hozuki to alter the user's own cells into water. The clones can be as simple in function as a vaguely human shaped bubble for use in the Body Replacement Technique or a completely mobile and sentient clone capable of utilizing any jutsu in the users repertoire. the clones themselves have the ability to travel far from the user and are able to communicate with the original.

Moreover, since the clone has the ability to merge with any existing water source, it is also great for reconnaissance missions. By directly touching the clone with their hand, the user can either absorb the clone back into their body or change the shape of the clone.

Unlike other clone techniques, the Water Balloon Clone doesn't disappear when hit and takes the damage to a certain degree. This makes it the perfect clone technique that makes it nearly impossible to see through. However, the clones are inhibited by the actions of the user, so if they are preoccupied with other tasks the clones will not be able to act to their full potential.

NAME: Kawarimi no Jutsu [Body Replacement Technique]
RANK: E
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [General]
ELEMENT: None
HANDSEALS: 5
DESCRIPTION:

After performing the necessary hand seals (one post prior to the technique's use) and locating a nearby object within a 10 meter radius (typically a log or something of similar size to their body.), the user switches places with the said object just before an attack lands, creating an optical illusion. During the small interval where they have left their opponent surprised, they may take the time to attack or flee.

Hydrification
The Hydrification technique is a core technique in Mizuki’s arsenal that they learned from his mother at a young age. The technique itself grants them the remarkable ability to liquefy their entire body at will. In this form, they become impervious to physical attacks, rendering them immune to all physical damage. Every part of their body can transform into water, providing a wide range of applications whether it's evading an opponent's close-quarters assault, infiltrating secure locations undetected, or manipulating the water that makes up their body to alter their appearance.

Mizuki is so accustomed to their liquid form that to them it almost feels more natural than their human body; and because of this Mizuki can effortlessly control their liquid state, slipping through narrow cracks in stone or through the space beneath a door, silently infiltrating enemy structures. Additionally, if a part of their body becomes severed, it can be regenerated as long as there is an adequate water source available.

Despite its strategic advantages, there are a few drawbacks to this technique. When unconscious, Mizuki’s body reverts to a jelly-like blob, making it difficult to handle their liquid blobby body. Additionally, they are highly vulnerable to Raiton, Lightning Release, making it pertinent to avoid electrical jutsu at all costs. Furthermore, Mizuki must constantly be taking in water and remain hydrated to utilize the hijutsu effectively.

Impressive Chakra Control
Due to Mizuki’s otherwise average chakra pool, they decided that it was imperative during their training to improve their chakra control so they could maximize the efficiency of every drop of chakra flowing through their body. With meticulous precision, they learned to channel their chakra with finesse, ensuring that very little energy was wasted or misdirected. This expertise enables them to harness the full potential of their limited chakra reserves and excel across various specializations, since many of the more complex specializations have a host of jutsu that require expert chakra control.

Chakra Sensory

Fostering their chakra control naturally led to Mizuki discovering they had a talent for Chakra Sensory, opening up the possibility of sensing objects and living creatures without the aid of their five main senses. At the moment, in the heat of combat Mizuki can passively sense up to approximately 400 meters; and in the event that a shinobi leaves that range they can concentrate in order to increase that range to 2 kilometers. This sensory ability allows them to easily locate and attack shinobi that are trapped within the haze of their Kirigakure no Jutsu.

Reflexes

Due to Mizuki’s hijutsu coming with an inherent weakness to the Raiton element, one often associated with quick brutal attacks, they have worked rigorously on enhancing their reflexes to allow them to more adequately avoid lightning based attacks. Their impressive reflexes allow Mizuki to react much more quickly when a raiton jutsu is fired off by either utilizing their water balloon dispersal to avoid it entirely or in the event where that’s not possible it gives them time to quickly put her sword between themself and the attack.

NAME: Samehada
OWNER: Hōzuki Mizuki
RANK: A
CLASSIFICATION: Offensive
ELEMENT: Suiton
DESCRIPTION:

Samehada earns its namesake for having properties akin to a shark's skin: it is incredibly durable and flexible due to its affinity with the Hydrification technique. As far as appearance goes, Samehada is a slightly shorter katana built with Mizuki's slender frame in mind; the curved blade is about 58cm in length and made from a simple chakra treated steel. Its tsuka has an intricately designed grip wrapped in darkened leather with a length of around 28cm. The pommel features engravings and a small gemstone. Near the base of the blade, there is a large, azure crystal that dangles from a small string attached to the kashira. The sword itself appears to be relatively unremarkable, but it is built specifically with the Hozuki's strengths and weaknesses in mind.

ABILITIES:

Hydrification Compatible [Chakra Reactive]
This blade is designed to be compatible with the Hozuki clan's Hydrification technique, allowing for part or all of the sword to be liquefied or reformed at a moment's notice. This can allow for the wielder to sneak past the guard of an unsuspecting opponent by liquefying the part of the sword that would clash with the guard and reforming it the instant that the sword is past the opposing guard. In the event that the sword is damaged, the Mōfu [Morph] technique can be utilized and water from the user's body can be utilized to repair the blade.

This sword can also be completely liquefied and stored inside a Hozuki's body, allowing them to conceal the weapon when necessary; and while the sword is stored within the user, they may pull the sword out of any area of their body. In the event that the wielder is rendered unconscious this sword melds with the jelly-like body of the Hozuki, making it incredibly difficult to separate from a captured Hozuki.

Chakra Compatible [Chakra Conductive]
In addition to being compatible with the Hozuki clan's Hydrification technique, Samehada's guard is compatible with elemental chakra in general. As a result, this sword can be utilized with compatible elemental jutsu. When wind chakra is funneled into the blade for Hien specifically, it encapsulates the sword emanating from the guard. This wind chakra reduces air resistance allowing the sword to cut more quickly and silently; but most importantly it blankets the weapon, protecting from Raiton chakra, allowing it to clash with similarly enhanced raiton weapons or to be utilized with Ittoryu: Kiretsu [One Sword Style: Crack] to cut apart raiton ninjutsu.

By Default Conductive Grants the user these effects when elemental chakra is channeled through.

Katon – The metal becomes warmer to the touch, not devastating effects but painful.
Fūton – Allows more buoyancy and lightness to be swifter in small degrees.
Suiton – Flexible and absorbs a minuscule amount of impact.
Raiton – A slight enhancement to sharp edges as well as developing some static.
Doton – Small increase in weight and durability.

At the end of the world

The clone exploded and all of the chakra that had gone into it was now back to Toru, along with the information that had come from its explosion. His enemies were defeated and now he had to turn his attention to his comrade as they had gotten quite unfortunately separated. However their scent was still in the air and it had not turned in some way so that was a good indication. So, he followed it quickly picking up speed in the direction as he tracked them out in the mist that still lingered in the area.

He could tell there were three individuals in the area too... The closer he got the more commotion he could hear.

It was a bit difficult to orient himself but he chose to slow down momentarily to listen. There was a roar of water...

Whether the water impacted or not though, he could tell it was *not* Mizuki who was the target in this instance. So whether the water hit its targets or not, Toru would track them through the mist and do a follow up move... Tucking and rolling and rolling towards the adversaries with intent to mow them down with a rolling shell technique.

It would help with ensuring that the enemies were put down successfully. After all if Mizuki's attack HAD landed then it was just an insurance, if they had not it would make certain that they had just dodged and were not yet capable of paying attention to Toru's inferno wheel approach.

Tuck and roll

Everything was falling apart.

Tama watched, almost forty meters up, as the Houuki below him (and it had to be a Houzuki) simply… fell apart, turning into liquid before the onslaught of his compatriots. The combination of jutsu impacted where the Kiri-nin stood, exploding and demolishing a huge chunk of the ground, seemingly killing their foe. But, like all assumptions, the attacking bandits had made an ass of themselves in waiting for confirmation of their kill. Three precise shots blasted through the air, the silence pierced by a screaming wail from the leader of their group as he fell, clutching his shoulder where a near invisible bullet of water had shattered his arm.

Two more fell in quick succession, their wounds more lethal as one took a bullet straight through the eye, while the other had the entire left side of her chest blown open, shattering her rib cage and puncturing her heart in the process. And then a rolling ball of fire and bone came barrelling through mist, slamming into the two remaining members of his team in a flash of movement that left them little more than a pasty mess of the ground.

Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuck! Tama thought as he twisted in mid-air, hand flashing together to form a string of seals… only to stop as he landed, panting. What was the point of fighting? His team was dead- everyone else had to be dead as well, if the other Kiri-nin was here to help his teammate. They wouldn’t have just him rush off like that, not if they were alive. So what was the point of fighting? Maybe… Maybe they’d show mercy. And if they didn’t?

Well, he was dead either way.

"Wait! I-I surrender!”

Amidst the chaotic aftermath, the mist began to settle, revealing the swift demise of practically everyone surrounding Mizuki's bubble clone. As their eyes turned upward, a tense anticipation filled the air, preparing for a potential final assault as the enemy began forming hand seals. However, the reality dawned on the adversary: all allies lay lifeless, and any hope of success slipped through their fingers like sand.

A familiar expression of surrender etched across the enemy's face, a concession made well before their body hit the ground. In a different circumstance, Mizuki might have considered accepting such a plea. Yet, the presence of the Mizukage and the weight of the mission pressed upon them. Even if sparing this man offered some potential advantage, it carried a nonzero risk of complicating the current mission.

Without a shred of hesitation, Mizuki's bubble clone advanced toward Tama with measured steps. Their steady hand formed into the shape of a pistol, and a water bullet shot forth, aimed with clinical precision towards the enemy's skull. The futility of resistance in their enemy's situation was palpable, and even if he managed to resist, Toru stood ready to address any potential complications.

As the shot reverberated in the air, Mizuki's clone cast a glance towards Toru, a hint of apology in their tone. "Sorry if that was a little presumptuous of me, but back in the Mountains, it sounded like we weren’t taking any prisoners." The acknowledgement hung in the air, a pragmatic reminder of the Mizuki's uncompromising nature while out on the job.

At the end of the world

The cloak that Toru wore as his badge of honor in battle started to disappear in wisps along his body until he was just a normal teenager standing there. Though from the looks of it there was some hints of him being battle worn. He was going to dispatch this final enemy when he had heard pleas... He thought to consider such a plea, but then thought against it immediately. Perhaps a merciful dispatching would be best here. Until Mizuki took the lead with water bullets at point blank range. If the enemy had any fuel to escape Toru would be certain to follow up with the draw of his water blade and an attack that deliberately did not cause pain even if it was fatal.

Regardless, if Mizuki's words were allowed to ring through the area Toru would look down towards the ground a moment where the splatters of enemy remains were.

"We were not. You did the right thing." There was some curiosity, of course, perhaps the slightest desire to interrogate. But to destroy enemy lines was often the priority on these kinds of missions and from the smell of it, Toru felt that the mission was a success.

Aside from the profuse amounts of blood and the smell of sweat and heat in battle there were no new scents arising.

"I think we might be finished." He uttered finally looking up towards his Hozuki companion. "We should check to see if everyone else is alright, that nothing was stolen, and then rest."

They would be able to go home in due time, if indeed the main threat was gone.

Tama watched as the slender, boyish (or was it girlish?) one strode over to him, his face going through a spectrum of emotions as he recognized the look in Mizuki’s eye. Fear, pain, relief, sadness and denial all washed over the man as the Kiri-nin marched over to him, resolute and unyielding in their purpose. He could have tried to run, could have fought, could have done so many things… but instead, he simply closed his eyes, let loose a long, slow breath, and waited.

He didn’t have to wait long.

As Tama’s corpse fell to the ground, a silence embraced the quarry yard; metal creaked, the ground shivered from the massive changes it had been forced to undergo, and the wind stirred… but nothing and no one else came to attack the mine. The bandits were dead- and while the mine would likely need to be shut down for a time to flatten out the ground and fill in the massive holes that had been opened in the main quarry, nothing had been lost and none of the workers had died (or even been hurt). They would have to check, of course, such things couldn’t be left to chance. But as far as Toru and Mizuki were concerned?

Their mission was over.
