Different styles called for different tactics... While Arashi was certainly not against using meditation as a means of focus, she had gotten to a point in her life where sitting still was not exactly something that could be seen as productive. Nor was it really aiding her much further than she had gone. In truth, it was simply a point where she realized perhaps implementing more into such practices might better aid her in the long run. Mentally or rather allowing an extension of her chakra to control Sand and Auramite was one such technique. The next was the usage of multitasking this along with her exercise. Which, proved to be a bit more challenging. Of course, it was meant to make her far more effective when dealing with multiple things at once. As skill she had, but not perfected... Standing within the training grounds, Arashi would create a single seal as she slowly moved it outward while breathing in extension with her movement. In drawing it back it close to her chest, the young woman would then breath in, taking in the air surroundng her as she focused on her breathing and keeping it slow in it's expansion. Creating another seal, Arashi would then slowly move her arms outward, releasing yet another breath. In doing this, Arashi was also manipulating the sand around her, causing it to move and shift in formation close to her feet, her eyes closed as she pictured the design of it in her mind.

Going through the Motions TAG. WORDS. xxx NOTES:

Though the practice of using handseals was nothing new in the world of shinobi, there were many forms in which one could adjust them and put them into focus. In fact, there was a time in which such usage of handseals did nothing than act as a vocal point for one's chakra. Apparently, this was documented within texts that predated the notion of there being a greater being that mastered elements to the point of bending them, but the principle remained the same to this day. In fact, in some temples, these forms were used various ways to create a channeled point where the mind and body were capable of acting as one. The tricky part for Arashi, was doing so while also manipulating her own natural element... Sand... As she moved into the start of this rotation, her eyes would remain closed as she released a slow breath and adjusted her fingers. Extended them within a single mass, she'd conjoin her hands together before placing them within the proper formation. "Rin.....I am strong....I am empowered with vital energy..." As she said this, the sand would shift within a more stilled state, becoming stagnant as if it were a pool, floating within the air as it rippled against the wind that blew against it.

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Blink. Blink. Now Senshi never really understood all this sitting around stuff. Meditation sounded like it was a lot like pretending not to be sleeping while sitting down. One might say Senshi was incredibly detached from her spirituality, and instead was focused on the world of martial pursuits. Not that such was inherently a bad thing, but it was a simple truth and fact of the matter. As Arashi found herself seated, Senshi felt bored. Bored as heck'm. Though she knew better than to bother her. Senshi instead found herself trying to occupy her mind by visualizing opponents.

Before she promptly threw herself backwards and began doing a feat of acrobatics and gymnastics that could make even some skilled athletes envious. As she began hurling and flipping herself in somersaults as she lands on her hands and begins to flip repeatedly. Senshi was fast, liked things fast, and really didn't know how not to. She'd found herself doing many things in an almost anime like montage around Arashi. Running laps, doing bunny hops, and eating a bag of gummy worms while standing in place. Senshi had realized one thing in the six, nearly seven years she'd known Arashi by now. 

Arashi was getting old. Or at least, that was Senshi's perspective. She didn't seemingly go and play games as much, or did things that some would consider "juvenile". It was all a part of growing up one might suppose. Before long? Senshi proceeds to slowly turn Arashi's way. "Hey. Hey Ara-Nee!~ Wanna hurl sand at me?"

Going through the Motions TAG.Kyokujitsu Senshi WORDS. xxx NOTES:

"At this point I'd settle for burying ya...but meditation requires the individual to be calm...." With one eye opened, she'd look toward the gummy worm indulging girl and then released a breath before closing her eye once more to focus. Different styles for different tactics...and Senshi was certainly different.... Arashi had almost completely forgotten that the girl and her were working together on training today. With the fact that she was no longer an academy student, it made sense that she would continue to work toward her training to be ready for the next level. She had already begun taking on missions and working with her teammates to such effect. Still, it seemed much of the maturity that came with promotion was slightly lost upon the blonde. Yet, it wasn't that much different for her when she had made Genin either. The difference between them was simply that Arashi had to make much of her progress through individuals willing to take the time to teach her, or learning on her own.... So perhaps curve was a bit different when it came to being capable of staying in one place for a long period of time and just being in the moment. Which, was the complete opposite for Senshi, who had managed to do enough within an hour of Arashi in one place than simply sitting down and focusing on a single thing. Multitasking at it's finest, but with no clear goal... "Ya do remember that we came out here to train right? The focus being on the training part..." Rising up from her position, she'd then walk toward her with a calm expression before reaching into the bag and retrieving one of the candies from it and placing it within her mouth. "The point being...ya should try focusing on one particular thing ya need to improve on...my thing is continuing both my surroundings and my thoughts..." Brushing the daggling strands of hair from her face, the Jounin would then place one fist atop the girl's head, a smirk crossing her lips as she shook her head. "While yours is.....honestly...not sure what ya tryin to do...but ya been doing it for an hour..." That said, the older female would then close her eyes as she pulled her hand away. "Besides...what would me throwin sand at ya accomplish?"

[Kyokujitsu Senshi]

Senshi was considered by some to be a crackhead. Hyperactive, always looking for something to do. That was a pretty damn apt description for the girl, all things considered. Though she wasn't an ill intentioned or bad person by any means. She was jovial, playful, and was vibrant like the sun. However, upon seeing Arashi's frustrations, she deflates a little bit. "Well...I'm lookin' to train my reflexes a bit is all. Especially if I'm going to be going to that Chuunin Exam!" She says, punching her fist ahead of herself. Though, she does find herself tilting her head.

Watching the sand lady put the candy into her own mouth, Senshi shifts. "I've grown a lot you know? I've made leaps and strides and have gotten a ton stronger!" She says, smirking, her eyes shining bright as she was more than confident in her claim. "I was thinking that if you throw sand and stuff at me, I can learn how to dodge well, and really get some experience fighting against other ninjutsu! Really challenge myself." Taking the liberty to look up to Arashi, she realized that she wasn't so short anymore. That she was getting bigger, and it seemed like every year, she was getting closer to Arashi.

It was possible that Arashi hadn't even noticed it until now, but the girl was indeed right in the fact that she had been growing. In truth, it was far faster than what she had even realized. The girl wasn't standing up to her knees anymore and despite popular belief in her inability to develop in skills, she'd proven that she could in passing her exams. Now she was trying to prepare for the next one. A challenge none the less, but at least she was putting her all into it. Even going so far as to explain her intent with improving her evasion techniques. Which, was vital when dodging attacks from both close range and at a distance. In seeing her gaze meeting hers, it was hard not to see the same little girl she had basically watched out for now grow up. It was enough to make her feel a bit uneasy, but still proud at the same time. "Barely...but only cause ya gave me the look...." As Arashi teased the girl, she'd then place one hand on her hip before then flashing a toothy grin her direction. "Plus tryin to keep ya still isn't gonna happen so at least this is a step in being productive..." Experience had taught her that truth. "Alright....get ready..." With this warning, Arashi would wait for Senshi to prepare herself, prompting her to hold out her hand as sand began to rise and shift before her. As the small gathering of dust changed shape, it would turn into that of twelve mid-sized bullets. "Ya gonna need to be quick..."

Sand Control
Arashi is granted two forms of defense by the Ichibi. The first one is a subconscious ability granted by the Bijuu is that there is constantly a barrier of sand clinging to Arashi’s skin. This barrier acts as a shield against her skin, absorbing heavy blows and protecting her. Her sand defense is very tough, being very difficult to break through. The sand has been likened to steel and concrete. The second form is one which pulls sand from her surroundings and the sand piled on her skin to form a visible barrier and dome like barrier around her. The sand is typically pulled from the ground and any nearby source. Arashi’s various dogs often have a plentiful amount of sand carried in their thick coats. As such, the sand is often pulled from their coats to be used to protect the girl. Through the course of her training, Arashi has learned to control both of these forms of defense to a degree, making her much more capable of mounting a defense in a variety of ways. But she still at times must incumbent some cooperation from Shukaku to ensure of it's sustainability.

Arashi can control sand and wind around herself to whip up sandstorms with powerful gusts. The sandstorm often appears when she’s emotionally strained and damaged. If there is no sand around her, powerful breezes will still gather around her. Shukaku enjoys teasing the girl to the point where sandstorms appear. But with the course of time, Arashi had grown more comfortable with this and developed a thick skin towards such actions by the Bijuu.

While Arashi had previous had little to no control over her other sand related abilities, she has a somewhat capable hand at this one. Because of the trauma of her sand attacking her classmates at a young age, Arashi has managed to reign in some of this power. Learning to bend the sand to her will, Arashi can keep it from hurting those she doesn’t want it to hurt. Sand will be gathered from nearby sources to be used as a weapon when this ability activates. This ability typically only activates when Arashi is in severe danger, but it has now become possible for her to do so with ease. Though it is more prone to activating near or on full moons. The sand takes the form of blunt objects or tendrils to bash or choke enemies. During moments of extreme strain, Arashi loses all control over this ability as well.

That trust meant everything to Senshi. That smile and acknowledgement. It made her beam and flash a grin right back towards her with the shine of her teeth. Before Senshi hops back, performing a backwards somersault flip onto her legs. "Woop! Woop! Woop! Let's do this!" She says, before even seeing what was before her. A dozen "bullets" made out of sand. She'd never seen it properly, at least, as far as she knew, but this was the power of the sand huh? Magnet Release? She'd heard about the powers of the Kazekage past. How they were masters of their craft.

Taking the liberty to clap her hands together, she took a deep breath, and with it, kept her eyes open and sharp. Because she'd come to realize that fighting against someone who could control sand in the middle of the desert probably sounded pretty silly at first glance. It made her realize that Arashi could probably do dozens, maybe even hundreds of projectiles just like this one. Scary thought. For despite Senshi's silliness and rambunctious behavior, she was pretty smart and keen. She had good street smarts, and she was decent at reading a combat situation. It was about time that she showed her big sis Arashi what she was really capable of. First thing came first.

She needed to go fast. Thus, letting her body go limber, and loose, she found herself channeling chakra to her legs as she maintained her sense of composure.

With the blonde now clearly ready for the volley, Arashi would hold a calm expression as she began to swirl the orbs within the air. Twelve was quite the starting amount, though she imagined that a few of them would likely miss. The point wasn't about just the number, but the speed of them as well. Their size was also a bit of a hinderance, but the point wasn't for her to pierce the girl through or anything, hence why they were a bit more on the larger size. If Senshi proved able to avoid them, she'd likely decrease their composition to be much smaller. Yet this was a good warm up, prompting her to gesture with her hand as the orbs flew through the air. Their speed was still compartive to that of a kunai being thrown in the air, even with their disadvantage. But that was part of the challenge... In their flight, they moved in the direction of the girl, spread out within their formation that they were able to home in on the girl's position. Evading them all would be difficult, but if she managed, she'd find the next barrage already in preparation close by, rising up from the earth's collection of dust and preparing to move in once more like a pursuing swarm.

The first projectiles came, and oddly enough? For Senshi, it seemed strange, but easy for her. She began first by entering into a cartwheel, and as the projectiles came, she shifted, contorted, and shot herself into the air off her hands, becoming limber as a drunkard. Twisting and flying like a cat, before she lands along her feet. "That's too easy Ara-Nee! You gotta throw something a lil' harder than that!" She expresses her disappointment almost as she begins immediately dashing around Arashi in a circular motion, looking to pick up speed and build it up to her maximum.

Though...Her keen eyes notice and pick up something. That the next barrage seemed...faster. Smaller maybe? As they began to follow after her like a swarm. What the heck? How unfair was that? Immediately somersaulting, she flips off of her hands, entering repeated handsprings, as she keeps her eyes on the projectiles, before she leaps back and from her Shuriken, hurls eight Shuriken towards the projectiles, looking to slam into the sand balls. Not too sure what that'd do for her. Though, she felt as if she should try. "Yikes forever!" She declares, consistently moving fast as she tries to observe the situation closely.

"Ara-Nee! This jutsu is really cool and all, but like! Uhh! Is this like. Special sand or something? Or can you do this with all sand? Because like. If you can. This is totally cheating!" She says, continuing to dance and test her observation, as well as her eyes on these very ominous grains.

"Somethin like that..." Arashi would comment as she allowed her eyes to close as she allowed the motion of the girl as she crossed the area to predict the intention of the sand, prompting the bullets to rise and fly within each passing moment. Though Senshi was capable of moving and evading, she'd continue to see the masses rise and pursue her, tempting ever closer as their speed increased as their size decreased in mass. Still, with the usage of her shuriken defense, she'd manage to deflect eight of the small bullets, but more would seem to take it's place as they rose from the ground and soared in her direction. "Ya already know that I can manipulate Sand...this is me using the area's own surroundings to create and shift it to do what I want....if it were special....well..it might be a bit tougher..." Arashi hadn't applied her own chakra into the mix just yet, though she was reacting based on the girl's movement as she crossed the area in her evasion. Sensing her movement, it was easy to tell just where she was going by just being within the sand itself, and as she sensed her out, she'd quickly raise more dust to meet her, the bullets rocketing outward as Arashi remained in her previous position at it's center. "But yea...its totally cheatin..." With a smirk crossing her lips, Arashi would glance in the girl's direction as waved her hand to the side, prompting the wave of bullets to collect almost to the point of being a wall. They'd float in the dozens, wavering within the air as they soon began to surge outward. "Check ya surroundings...if ya can't dodge...what else can ya do to avoid an attack?" There was much that could be done in the space available. Though it all depended on what the girl could come up with. Granted, she could continue to move quickly and hope for the best. But with the massing odds, it would be increasingly more challenging to keep up with the fast number of bullets racing at her. But, the landscape did provide for places one could use as a defense. The dips on the sand that created pits, the dunes that were a collection of sand, or simply creating distance and allowing for more range and time to come up with other options. It was about looking outside of the box when it came to evasion tactics...

This sensing sand can be spread across a wide terrain of 100 feet, or even float in the air allowing aerial foes to be detected for an extended range of 150 feet due to it's lack of being stationary. Once the sand comes in contact with a person, it will wrap itself around them, rendering even invisible targets, visible.

This was so unfair. When Senshi found herself running, the bullets only became smaller and faster as she evaded them. Then Arashi implied that her sand could be made even better. Her eyes widened at such a thought, but before long, she didn't have time to think about that. Arashi confessed. She was cheating. Though, it made sense. When in a land of scarce natural resources, one had to use what one had. In this case, sand. It was their greatest defense, as well as their greatest weapon in the case of Arashi whom wielded the Shukaku, and the Aiel Clan. An enemy whom dared to invade Suna was a fool who likely sought to lose their life.

As her Shuriken thudded with the sand, she felt hopeful at first, only to see more of them take their place with utter ease. Not even a handseal. Taking the liberty to continue running, she began trying to run in an irregular pattern, a zig zag of sorts to see how much time it would take those bullets to adjust to her movements. However, she realized this seemed fruitless. Especially when Arashi raised her hands and a literal wall of bullets came forth. Taking a deep breath, she somersaults and lands backwards, skidding on her feet as she tries to keep track.

'No choice! I have to do it!' She says, and with it, she extends her hands outward from her body, towards her sides. Within that moment, she releases chakra from every chakra point at once. Creating an immediate burst of hot, dry wind. An instantaneous burst that she used in an attempt to repel the bullets that came showering upon her, hopefully blowing the particles back as it smoked along the ground. Taking a deep breath, she looks on.

"Is that...all you got?" She says with a nervous smile.

NAME: Shakuton: Shakubaku Bouheki no Jutsu [Scorch Release: Scorch-blast Rampart Technique]

DESCRIPTION:
After channeling scorch chakra into their pores, the user will release a mass sphere of dry heat around their body near instantly in a 5 meter diameter, the user at the center. Those caught in the expulsion are subject to second degree burns as well as being pushed back without an anchor to the ground. Lower ranking suiton based jutsu will be weakened as the very moisture is pulled from them.

The release of scorching heat was more than enough to repel the assault of sand that came toward the girl, and even Arashi was a bit surprised that she had considered going for such a move. Hell, she hadn't expected it considering her previous actions of just dodging. Still, it looked as if the attempt had been a tad draining on Senshi. Which, was likely because of the orb itself. "Heh...not bad...looks like your switching over to defense...very good...." With a toothy grin resting on her face, Arashi would then hold her hand upward, flipping it so that her palm was turned to the sky. As she did, she'd gesture with her fingertips, prompting more sand to rise as it formed into similar sized bullets. This time, the wall would seem as if it were a haze, quickly shaping itself into bullets of sand that floated overhead. More seemed to be forming beneath the now crystalized fragments of what had previously been the wall before her, casting itself upward as it began to start rapidly raining down. "Course...we both know that isn't all I got...and how long do ya think ya can keep firing that off..." Arashi would watch the girl to see what she would do with the change in direction the bullets were coming from, prompting her to remain where she was as she crossed her arms over her chest. "In this situation...I can go on forever...what can you do?"

It was as if she had a choice. Senshi didn't have the ability to run around forever after all, despite being Sunagakure's resident youthful crackhead when it came down to liveliness and energy. Taking the liberty to use those moments to catch her breath, she couldn't help but look up as she saw more of those bullets, before it turned into yet another storm. With a metaphorical wall before her, and more bullets hailing down, she very swiftly considered her options. Something a ninja needed to be able to do on the fly.

She'd come to realize that with her jutsu, she'd created a divot around herself, a dug in pit, and with it, while this did provide her some level of protection from a side angle, she couldn't defend against this horde of projectiles for long, especially with their speed and precision. Considering this, she felt as if she needed to work with what she had, and fast. Reaching into her pouch, she hurls upwards into the sky a kunai with a flapping piece of crimson paper. With a weaved seal, it glows hot and explodes in a dark cloud, looking to disperse more of the sand projectiles, and with it, she immediately hurls herself into her makeshift foxhole. Clearing a divot as she tries to shelter herself from the rest.

Though...Trying to hide from someone who could manipulate sand in the desert sounded like a foolish venture. Being put under pressure, she tries to adapt. Maybe she should have learned a few more jutsu. Eh?

Being reactive to a change in situation was important as a shinobi, same with thinking on the spot. With Senshi having to confront the reality of the situation, it appeared that she was mixing up her evasion to be more proactive in it. She was at least aware of her position, taking into account the change in surroundings created by her last move. It had formed a divot, a sizeable one that would work from her position, yet not completely. Still, considering the situation she was in, it was possible that it would hold for most in similar cases. Of course, Arashi was far from ordinary... She could sense her movement and her position... Even in the makeshift foxhole, her position was clear as day to her. Her attacks may not have been hitting their mark, but that could easily change with just a wave of her hand. Of course, she was asked to just hurl sand at her, not bury her. Not to mention that in most cases, this fight would probably be over the second it seemed like the girl was pinned down. So she urged her on... "Using a foxhole is good...but what else?" As the area rained down glass from the explosive tag that had been thrown, Arashi would continue to watch the place Senshi had hid, raising her brow as she spoke. "Like I said...I can go on forever...but ya have somethin that can catch me off-guard...ya have tools around ya....use em....think hard...it isn't about jutsu savin the day...its about adapting to whatcha got..." As the sand bullets continued their rain from two front, Arashi was already preparing the next wave, her eyes narrowed as she focused in on the girl. Come on Senshi...think here....use that imagination of yours...

Ultimate Defense

A Skill granted by her continued use and developed relationship with Shukaku over the continued use of his control over sand, Arashi has a stronger connection to the element, allowing her to use it at a much more intensive rate than before. As such, her defenses are much more adapt and capable of taking on stronger attacks and reinforcing itself at faster speed. This adaptation to the sand shield allows for it's reaction time to have increased and make it more challenging for attacks to connect and break through the first layer, while acting still on the natural inclinations of auto-repairing itself for the next strike.

By dispersing chakra enhanced sand into a specific area, the user is able to discern the presence of bodies that come into direct contact with it. This sensing sand can be spread across a wide terrain of 100 feet, or even float in the air allowing aerial foes to be detected for an extended range of 150 feet due to it's lack of being stationary. Once the sand comes in contact with a person, it will wrap itself around them, rendering even invisible targets, visible.

Taking a deep breath, she was asked to show what more she could use. What more could she do? To think and really use her brain. Looking at the bullets raining from multiple ends, she had one explosive tag left. Only a handful of Shuriken. When faced with the stress, there was really only one thing to do. Tapping into their imagination, they weave a few handseals then. "Huoaaaaah!" First, she comes out from her cover, and with a blast of Shakuton chakra, she again expels all of the projectiles around or near her, for up to five meters, utilizing another wave of superheated air, as to blow the sand away.

Next? Weaving a few swift handseals, she forms four clones. The clones with poofs of smoke while not casting any shadows, they'd begin to scatter, dancing, and moving swiftly and erratically as Senshi might, looking to divert attention as Senshi herself moved forward, intermingled within their ranks as she wondered. How would the sand bullets move when faced with multiple targets to track? It made sense that if she couldn't weather or defend herself, and if Arashi could truly do it forever? Then she'd need to close the distance and adopt an aggressive doctrine. What mattered was getting in close. Now wasn't this exciting? 

As she muddles and mixes with the group, closing towards Arashi, she rushes in. Moving rapidly and swiftly towards the older woman.
