It took Shiratama time to get use to seeing Hanadoki’s sentimental side, especially when it was directed to him, a silly Senju. He was certain that he didn’t experience anything close to these feelings from the day he had met the aloof Uchiha. That day at the training grounds when he was the last to arrive from his squad, he tried offering Hanadoki dango as a warm-welcoming gift and she quickly neglected without second thought. It was hard to believe that this was the same shallow quiet girl from before, just what was it that made them connect in this fashion?

From the moment she gently took grasp of his blistered hand, Shiratama’s cheeks turned a light shade of pink while his stomach experienced what many refer to as the "butterflies”. He didn’t say anything at this time, just quietly listened to Hanadoki’s keen observation of what pain Shiratama had been masking behind his bandages. It was very much like Hanadoki to be able to decipher situations without even being informed on a single bit of detail. Certainly an admirable trait that piqued the interest of Shiratama, whether he knew it or not.

The feelings to come shortly after receiving Hanadoki’s sympathy were far more worse than any other nervous break-down he had prior from this moment. As if seeing the nude raven-haired model on the cover of Hiker dan’s magazine wasn’t enough, Hanadoki seemed to find it appropriate to force an even larger volume of blood out of Shiratama’s acute nostrils by saying the unexpected.

You know, if you wanted to stare me so hard, you can always ask.

"Whaaaaa~ .. W-what do you m-m-mean?!”

Stammering over his words, Shiratama again found his emotions in a disarray. Just what exactly would the young adolescent Senju be asking of her?! Having already looked over his minor injuries seemed to be more than enough to ask for from her, although he didn’t ask but regardless. In truth he felt in debt to Hanadoki, for having saved him when he pulled an ill-advised stunt which ultimately costed her older sister’s life. If he hadn’t been for his stupid decision, Hiruko would’ve likely been with them at this moment.

But Shiratama wasn’t looking to dwell on the past, he sought to make things right and settle this disaster once and for all. He’d listen carefully to Hanadoki’s inference on the letter he gave her and her decision of what path they should take which followed up afterwards.

"Hiker Dan would be one hell of a guy to have survived from these kind of monsters . . I hope we don’t run into any more of them anytime soon”

He spoke as they began their journey down the path chosen by Hanadoki. At random times he found himself accidentally bumping shoulders with the Uchiha princess, only to quickly look away off to the side and pretend it didn’t happen. It was such an adventure, the construct of the cave wasn’t like anything Shiratama had seen before.

Once they arrived to the clearing which contained running spring water and enormous stalagmites protruding from both he ground and ceiling, Shiratama found himself cheering for joy. Without finding a single trace of chakra within his vicinity other than Hanadoki’s, he didn’t find a second to waste darting forward for the water. The rotten soda beer not only tasted bad but it also seemed to have a way with making the Senja’s throat feel parched.

He cupped his hands and drank as much water as it took to quench his undeniable thirst. Once he was finished, he took a seat on a large flat boulder and set all of hiker dan’s equipment down, including the first aid equipment.

"Finally time to settle down, jeez I feel like we haven’t taken a break since we started this crazy mission”

Voiced Shiratama as he started making himself comfortable by lying down on his back. The duo would rest for the time being until they felt prepared to begin moving forward. They shared a couple laughs and giggles while exchanging a few funny stories of various events that had taken place in their lives.

Not too long after having their moment of peace, the duo proceeded with their investigation. During their travel, Shiratama quickly noticed the massive holes throughout the chamber. It wasn’t like anything he ever seen before. He imagined that people long ago drilled their way into this cave and discovered this large body of water. What else would there be to do in this creepy cave besides that? Shiratama wondered.

Hanadoki ended up finding a camera while doing his own personal cave inspection, he joined her at her side to take a glimpse at the film she held in her hands. Apparently, in the video was none other than the famed Survivalist, Hiker dan. He seemed to have come across the same monster that they defeated earlier but there appeared to be a packof them in the video.

"Hmm?!”

Shortly after the video went haywire, the culprits for the numerous man-sized holes revealed themselves. Three monstrous earth warms, one of which led the assault by swiftly slithering forward and circling the Genin duo with its elongated body.

Shiratama quickly readied himself by pressing against Hanadoki’s backside, covering her rear while she’d reciprocate the same form of protection. The Senju and Uchiha standing back to back in preparation for battle, such a glorious sight which likely forced their ancestors to turn in their graves.

"Are you ready to rock princess? These things look very different from the other creature we fought . . . I’m sure you noticed already”

He performed his napalm clone technique and created two dopplegangers which stood two meters in front of him. They awaited instruction before making any further movements to attack the strange creatures.

Actions

Napāmu Bunshin no Jutsu [Napalm Clone Technique]
Rank: C
Type: Ninjutsu
Description: A simple doppleganger technique where the user will create a clone compromised of saliva and katon natured chakra. The clone(s) are one tenth of the user's strength and can only travel up to sixty meters from the original before dispersing. As most clone techniques, these napalm clones will carry out and fulfill any of the duties the user desires. Their interesting construct make them quite useful for being suicide decoys since once they're hit they burst into a small explosion of sticky napalm. Which can burn and irritate the skin of whoever is caught by it. The tricky thing is that water spreads the stickly napalm, only a dose of dirt or sand can relieve the burning pain.

The first monster finally struck! He rushed the Senju boy the moment he made one of his Napalm Bunshin. Head first, the worm crashed into the doppelganger and subsequently felt the orange substance launch onto its skin. Its jaws widened as it flailed in pain, only mere feet away from Shiratama. His body wiggled from its top to its middle, while its bottom had been still mostly in his hole. The beast moved as if it wanted to wipe the napalm off of its head, but it simply could not. It were times like these that humans saw how superior they were to others.

The beast went back into its hole as it shreiked in pain. At the same time, the other beasts had double teamed the Uchiha. They kept an eye on their comrade and wondered how it could go about avoiding the boy while they tried to get their prey. One beast to Hanadoki's left arched back underground via another hole while the other went straight for her slender arm. Its jaws latched onto her right arm as it powerfully hoisted her off her feet. These holding jaws had leverage right over the arm's middle portion, preventing the girl from even bending it, while it was able to have a small taste for human flesh as it's tongue licked her face.

If the duo didn't act fast, their team would quickly be down a man.

Soar Above All.

When Hanadoki had first met Shiratama, there wasn't much she wanted to say to him period. He had offered her dango and to be honest, she thought that was one of the oddest introductions ever. Despite that, she didn't really care or think about it too much, considering he was a Senju and she didn't associate with them, so they never even entered her mental space, unless for village business. Subjecting herself to their reign as Kouki had taken the place of her father, she was tempted to believe in the Senju slightl;y but before that sliver of hope could become anything more than just that, the only Senju she would even think of trusting died. That effectively killed all hope for the Senju in her mind, considering the girl felt like there was something about the Senju that had played a part in her father's death. Whether they admitted it or not. That alone was heart wrenching and then the simple fact that she had Oko, who was more than a handful on their team too. That was utterly ridiculous and unfortunate beyond means no man could understand.

Despite her putting up a barrier, Shiratama literally fought her tooth and nail in the sense that he refused to be ignored or just another object of annoyance in her life. He was worming his way in and for that she would have to applaud him. She remembered her words to Inokai, who had always tried to get her to like the Senju and or speak to them. Hanadoki kept her disdain quiet, one for clan purposes, and two, for the simple fact that she didn't need to speak to them to understand or rather for them to understand that she only dealt with them when she had to. Inokai had even dated Kazuto, who was a bastard of the Senju, and Inokai was telling her then that she would have to get over it at some point, which was true Hanadoki had yet to face the truth about a few things herself. Acting so mature and dealing with all the things she never had to deal with alone, but not knowing how to open up to people was another thing. opening up left you vulnerable, and if there was one thing the Uchiha didn't like being....vulnerable was it.

Hanadoki wore an expressionless mask as to stop people from understanding what her mental state was. As Shiratama already knew she was unstable, her emotions flip flopped in this moment, no matter how hard she tried to stay focused. Anything getting too stimulated forced her mind to focus on that route but she was doing okay for the time being. Having placed her emotions in a little boss, she'd be okay as long as she didn't dwell on any deaths for more than 6 seconds. The tension for her mentally was so bad she had a time limit for each thought that regarded a family member or her best friend's death. There wouldn't be another death on this mission, not as long as she was alive and fighting. As long as she held breath, she would protect Shiratama.

Hanadoki didn't think that Shiratama was a burden, even when her actions stated otherwise. Her sister's death was hitting her and she was allowing her emotions to effect her more than she really let on. Killing her emotions off for that brief moment, made her nervous, because if she shut down completely, how would she and Shiratama connect? They had no sensei.......they were alone and she NEEDED, to keep her mind clear so she could process any situations, as it wasn't only her life at stake. Losing Hiruko had been a major wound that continued to bleed but right now, whether she knew it or not, she needed Shiratama. Her mental state was more along the lines of 'I can't lose him too.' It was desperation, not only for him to live but for her to hold onto her sanity.

Hanadoki had always kept a grip on herself in case things happened, but when she lost her last sibling, that hurt more than she realized and that's when she knew that despite fighting Hiruko, tooth and nail. Hiruko had somehow wormed her way into her heart. Even so, by this point, Shiratama was vital, considering Hanadoki felt like those who got close to her died and if she said those words to him, Shiratama wouldn't leave her, that much she knew. They were partners in this and they were all the other had at this moment in time.

It wasn't that he was vital to her life essentially, but she just couldn't allow him to harm himself anymore than he already had. The young Uchiha wanted to stop that from happening, IF it was in her control and here, technically it was indeed. Joking with Shiratama was something she wasn't used to but watching him blush heavily and stammer over his words made her laugh a little bit considering he was always wearing a mask of happiness himself.

"Whaaaaa~ .. W-what do you m-m-mean?!”

"Well, that's not exactly a question I can answer, as only you know that. But when you become aware, please let me know." she'd laugh. Her body turning back to the path as to hide her face, so he couldn't read her expression. Refocusing though, she'd respond to his comments about Hiker Dan and his survival skills, though she did believe to have made it this far with tremors, he had to be something else. His will to live must have been tremendous, indeed. " Unfortunately, it's never that easy. He is the survivalist after all, so I'm sure he has at sustained an ample amount of stamina, just in case he ever needs to skedaddle make quick exits."

As they walked down the path, Hanadoki would sometimes end up rubbing shoulders with the Senju boy, which, in her mind was inevitable, due to the small space allowed through the caverns. She'd notice him looking away when it happened, but maybe he was making sure they were protected. He had a knack for trying to guard her, even if she was able to take care of herself. Even so, she dealt with it as he seemed to be telling her in his own way, that he planned on protecting her regardless of her own thoughts and abilities. It was almost as if she had no say in the matter and here would come the knight in shining armor to handle the Uchiha princess' light weight in combat.

It was then that her eyes were to be blinded for two seconds by the light of the room. Having been in the darkness with only a flashlight for so long, her eyes had adjusted to the darkness and were now switching over. The large cavern filled with stalagmites had a beauty to it, with fresh water, and in Hanadoki's mind, the only thing she could think of, was this being the halfway mark. Fresh water usually came from somewhere and that also meant, that there was more to this place than she originally thought. Shiratama bolted for the water and Hanadoki would simply walk after him, her eyes scanning the place and taking it all in. She knew the Senju could sense and she had noticed his body language enough to know when he was doing it, but even so, it was hard for her to let her guard down here.

Reaching the water's edge, she'd drop to her knees and drink some as well, feeling the revitalizing effect of the water, spread throughout her body. She hadn't really noticed how parched she was until now. Guess Shiratama had some good reactions, that became ideas after all. After that, she'd watch the male get comfortable and look around once more before allowing her guard to drop ever so slightly.

"Finally time to settle down, jeez I feel like we haven’t taken a break since we started this crazy mission”

Moving closer to the rock, she'd place herself right beside it before responding. She didn't want to be a buzz kill or anything of the like but her mind was still in mission mode and one of them had to be the weary one, to say the least. " Yeah, but we're still in the fire right now, and we have yet to find the source of this issue. Once we get out of here, we can really take a break." she'd respond, her voice going slightly cold again, not towards him but because she THOUGHT about the mission in it's entirety and sadly Hiruko came into play at the beginning of the mission.

Suddenly, Shiratama was like the little ray of sunshine as they talked and laughed a bit. Hanadoki wasn't one to lower her guard and to be honest, just being able to have conversation with him was nice. You wouldn't think Hanadoki had much to say but in all honesty, she did, she was just good at hiding it. It was a habit of defending herself and right now, even though, she knew it wasn't exactly true, she did feel somewhat protected, a light blush appearing on her face, every once in awhile, when she could hear his infectious laugh filling the large space. Though, this break had to come to an end as as her mind refocused on the mission, so did her resolve to finish for Hiruko.

As they separated for a moment to walk around the cavern, Hanadoki was mainly worried about those holes in the walls. Even though she couldn't tell what made them, the fact that bothered her most, was that they were there and were extremely large in size. That alone set off an alarm in her mind. However, as her eyes scanned every inch of the stalagmite lit room, the small flash of a red light caught her attention, and before she knew it herself, she had darted over. Looking down, she found it to be a camera, and a camera here meant that her earlier theory about Hiker Dan had been correct. He would travel the path least traveled, where the beast had emerged from. Hanadoki had stated earlier that if this was the case, and going this way, there were probably more beasts in the area, they just hadn't come across them like the one in the smaller cavern. At least, this time, if they did have to fight anything, it was a much larger space.

Calling to her teammate, she'd wave him over. "Shiratama, come look at this this!" she'd yell out just loud enough for him to hear. Watching the video, she realized there was more than one of those things they killed and that last scream it made, could have been anything. Hanadoki knew that the most dangerous times in any hunt, were when things were getting near the end. Whether it was a person or animal, when anything or one was locked in a corner with no where to turn, they would lash out, and there would be no restraint as that was their final stand. At that moment, the video went static and as soon as it did, chaos had emerged from the nearby holes she had been staring down so intently.

"I knew it was too good to be true." she'd say as Shiratama placed his back against hers, facing their opponents that seemed to take action immediately. "It's times to get to work then Senju and yeah, these don't have eyes at all. They must be able to sense it with our ground movements and or vibrations in the air." That would be all she could say before two of the beasts decided to gang up on her. Moving her back into Shiratama to get him out of the way, the beast that had reached for her arms lifted her into the air, but little did it know, that was where she excelled the most, in aerial combat. Handoki was generally like a fairy dancing around the field but she seemed to phase in and out of existence on the floor, her speed a testament to her father's training, even among some chunin.

As she was hoisted in the air, she'd yell out. "One just went underground! Don't worry about me!" she'd command, even though it was highly likely that he wouldn't follow that instruction. The grip on her arm was quite strong and she knew that this limb was a muscle as well. What got her was when the beast licked her face as soon as she was in the air. "HOW DARE YOU?" she'd practically shriek, before sucking in air and releasing a concentrated orb of ash into the beast's open mouth. The girl was absolutely mortified that this abhorrent beast, would DARE to touch her in such a manner. It had to die. There was no further mental discussion. Being so close, this was going to hurt a little bit but she didn't care for the collateral damage, at this point. It was inevitable with the damn thing licking her. Snapping her fingers, she make the orb explode, her goal was to not only blow off the arm holding her but the beast's mouth in the process, damaging it greatly, or possibly killing it. If it had sensing abilities as she assumed, the smoke moved in the air and the ash that came before it would have more than likely also attracted it's attention, if her theory was correct.

If this succeeded, she was hoping she would be let go and dropped to the floor. If that was the case, she would already be putting her hands together with the tiger and boar signs in preparation for another jutsu.

Jutsu used

1)NAME: Katon: Haigi [Fire Release: Ash Ceremony]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT:
DESCRIPTION:
Utilized without hand-seals, the user spits a small cloud of explosive ash from their mouth, no larger than a human head but creating a blast equivalent to two Explosive Tags. This technique often has to be combined with Katon: Hibana to be effective, and the chance of collateral damage is high if the user doesn't correctly read the wind movements before using. However the cloud of ash can only reach a maximum distance of 2m, meaning it's more often than not used as quick self-defense.

2) NAME: Katon: Hibana [Fire Release: Spark]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT:
DESCRIPTION:
An incredibly simple technique requiring no hand seals, the user clicks their fingers and produces one or more small sparks.

Jutsu in Preparation

3) NAME: Katon: Faia Kasui no Jutsu [Fire Release: Fire Stream]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu
ELEMENT: 火 Katon | Fire
DESCRIPTION:
Activated by two handseals - Tiger then Boar. A skill where the user creates a small mass of fire within their hands, not having any really true shape but just being a wild flame. The flame is then aimed at the opponent and fired off as a stream for no further than eight feet from their person.

NOTES: new chapter of day 2 has been released, the wait is over :P

--------------------------------

p.s: Sorry Photobucket was down when I created this post

During this mission, Shiratama was able to see the true colors of Hanadoki. She wasn’t as shrewd as he believed her to be when they first met in the past. Evidently, the young raven-haired kunoichi knew how to laugh and smile which was a bit surprising at first sight. However, Shiratama always knew deep down Hanadoki was still a child at heart who enjoyed engaging in laughter and exchanging silly jokes. While it was true that she is the leader of one of Konoha’s most prolific clans and also the daughter of a former Hokage, neither of the two facts meant that she needed to shelter her child-like persona. Well at least that’s how Shiratama viewed it from his perspective, the thought of seeing his comrade laughing and having fun always lingered within his mind ever since their days training under Chouka-sensei. She was always just so serious and seemed bitter whenever pitted against foolish jokes such as being labeled "Uchiha Princess”.

Now times were different and Shiratama appreciated being able to bear witness to Hanadoki’s smiling for once. More than ever, Shiratama had now become certain that there was a little bit of happiness in everyone, even if they sounded or looked big, bad, and mean. The only thing that would have to be exempt from that belief were the ferocious tunnel worms which destroyed one of his napalm clones.

Napalm splattered everywhere, primarily on the worm which destroyed it with a violent tackle attack. Shiratama picked up on the detail of the worm being unable to see just as quickly as his comrade had done, however as she made mention of it Shiratama couldn’t help but nod as if it were new information.

"Got it! I’ll take care of the other one in that case!”

He answered trusting that Hanadoki would be able to take care of the worm that injured her. Shiratama went on an prepared for the next creature that went underground which seemed to have Hanadoki marked as a target. He ordered his doppleganger to watch over Hanadoki while he prepared for the next worm to reveal itself. If Hanadoki were to free herself from the jaws of the creature and fall from her high position, his clone would look to catch her before her body touched the ground.

Before the poor worm could get another lick of her sweet, supple, delectable, face his mouth was ruthlessly assaulted by a surging ash cloud. Unknowingly, the beast inhaled deeply, taking in the impurities without a moment's notice and feeling whatever it used as 'lungs' fill with what felt like bricks. From the insides it felt terrible, and immediately wheezed. Its putrid breath, exhaled some of the ash back in the direction of the girl's face. It was at that moment it knew that his prey would not simply be easy pickings.

However, this new knowledge proved to be too little, too late. Only seconds later the girl would snap, creating a spark that would ignite all the ash. On impact, the flames fried away his holding jaws, and the insides of his mouth immediately followed. His grip on Hanadoki was non existent as she would slowly fall, making her way to the ground. Her maneuver didn't go without any hitches however. In the process, she severely burned the length of her arm. It was littered with first and second degree burns, all of which a kunoichi should have been able to handle, but because of its proximity, the sheer pain of it all did mean she would be left more than wincing. Continuously using that arm would prove extremely difficult.

Lover boy managed to catch her, holding her figure in the 'bridal carry'. In the heat of battle, this likely mattered little to the two, as the worm whose head caught on fire still rattled wildly, slamming its back onto the cavern's wall. At the same time, the worm who had retreated earlier resurfaced with his mouth opened wide for Shiratama's clone and Hanadoki. If she followed through with her handseals, she would have had a clear shot for this monster, but it simply was out of range.

It was evidence that the duo were still only Genin. Had she been a more experienced or powerful kunoichi, it may have been a hit. Perhaps Shiraitama had something up his sleeve....

It was a great relief seeing his clone catch Hanadoki as she plummeted from up above. Prior from this moment his heart had been racing with anxiety but now he was able to calm down and focus more on their slithery enemies.

It wasn't long before the other tunnel worm decided to carry out its assault. It's targets were Hanadoki and his clone. Unfortunately the clone wasn't expecting the worm to come from the ground below, thanks to its reflexes the clone was able to jump straight up into the air with Hanadoki clutched with both arms. The worm trailed behind the two with its jaws opened wide. However thanks to the jump, Shiratama was gifted with ample time to begin an attack of his own.

Which he did . . .

Without hesitation, the real Shiratama raced towards the attacking worm. He unsheathed his blade the moment he went airborne to meet the creature who had been just seconds away from consuming its targets. With both hands, Shiratama gripped his katana and swung the blade horizontally with all of his strength towards the lower neck area of the worm. He sought to bisect the creature with one strong swing, if that wasn't enough he'd have to follow up with another two or three slashes.

"SORRY BUT SHE'S NOT ON THE MENU!!!!"

Roared the Senju just before carrying out his attack.

Fire burning the massive creature as it slammed against the walls and ceiling of the cave-like area. The ground would rumble and the earth all around them would quake. Cavern stone icicles would fall from the ceiling in any which way. Causing a bit of danger to all involved. A jumping clone, a held princess, and even an attacking Senju. It would cause its ruckus only moments longer before retreating back into the ground. A hole near its burning head. It first missed, smashing its head against the ground before diving into the earth to lick its wounds.

This left the other worm. Springing from the ground as the clone and Hanadoki would also jump into the air. Ascending, focused upon its target, one of the holding jaws would burst forward from the worm’s main beak, snapping firmly to the clone’s ankle. Success, the two would be no doubt drawn in. Except for the original Senju. Dodging the falling ceiling would no doubt cause him a bit of trouble, but he had still pressed on. Swinging his katana, he was trying to slice the beasts head clean off! Seeing as the worm had the size to swallow Hanadoki and the clone whole with little effort, as well as the endurance to tunnel through rock beneath the surface, the katana boy would not succeed in his efforts. Nonetheless, the beast would squeal upon it being struck. Once. Twice. And then a third time. Before all three of these strikes would land, to be more specific. When the first strike would cause the creature pain, it’s grabbing jaw would immediately throw the ankle it had grabbed. Using its immense speed to fling both the clone and Hanadoki straight for the ground, ceiling still having a few stones falling. The napalm clone would no doubt combust upon the torpedo-like impact and cover the young Uchiha princess in sticky burning napalm. The landing would cause the girl further bumps, scrapes, and bruises, as well as aggravate the arm she had just provided burns for herself on. A nasty landing could even prove more troublesome.

The beast that he had just struck and was turning to him was not Shiratama’s only problem. The ground would rumbled again. Well, the whole ‘room’ around them. The whole place shook which only created the ceiling to give some more, stones and stalactites rushing for the ground in a haphazard manner. Easy enough to avoid for a shinobi, provided they weren’t too distracted. And a distraction was before Shiratama. The worm he had struck oozing from his wounds and moving tall to loom over him. The next strike did not come from it, however. Straight above him, sensitive to the exact location of the Senju, the worm that had been attacked by his clone’s napalm resurfaced. Err.. .more dropped from the ceiling like a bomb of flailing grabs. The dirt of the tunnels had helped rid the creature of its burning goo. And now, it planned to land directly atop the boy. Jaws and grabbing jaws ready to swallow him up.

Hanadoki was successful in defeating the first worm that targeted her while Shiratama was not. Her adept skills as a shinobi were beginning to show despite succumbing an arm injury. Shiratama’s doppleganger held a firm grip on the slender Uchiha as they soared into the air looking to evade the approaching worm. With their vision directed towards the ceiling they would come to notice the storm of stalagmites hailing from above. With the doppleganger aware of this circumstance it was certain that it was little it could do for Hanadoki in this instance. As an instinct to remove Shiratama’s beloved subordinate from danger it wasted no time in giving the Uchiha princess a nodding signal before tossing her to the side so that she may save herself from the destruction. Seconds after Hanadoki was removed from his grasp the clone would experience the painful sensation of sharp jaws piercing through its ankles. From the sheer impact alone the clone exploded into an assortment of sticky globs of napalm which splattered roughly three meters in all directions of the destroyed clone. It was possible for the napalm to reach the backside of Hanadoki if she had yet to recovered her balance through her nimble skill of jumping across rocks.

Through the demise of his clone, Shiratama would receive it’s knowledge. He nonetheless proceeded with his attack which appeared effective enough to receive the worms undivided attention. In his recovery back towards the ground from slashing the beast, Shiratama had to remain nimble so that he wasn’t crushed by the stones. He was grazed on the shoulder by one spike as he moved back but the injury wasn’t anything detrimental, in fact it raised the awareness of the Senju. This was a dangerous situation, both of their lives were at risk there was no room left for mistakes.

Shiratama divided his attention between the squealing worm and his comrade, he was eager to see what became of her after being thrown by his clone. He had a short time limit in trying to acquire a visual of the raven-haired kunoichi, the worm was impatient and apparently sought to have its dinner immediately. He had to give up looking to see where Hanadoki was going and rely on his chakra sensing ability to find out, for now the worm needed his attention as it was now preparing itself to swallow him whole.

"Hanadoki! Don’t worry about me, get the hell out of here! Find an exit and get out! I’ll catch up!”

Shouted the Senju from the top of his breath. With each word spoken he’d focus his chakra for his technique that he had in store for the hungry worm. He had half a ram seal held as he lined the blade of his katana up towards the bridge of his nose. It appeared as if Shiratama was concentrating something into his sword however that was not the case. It was more or less a prayer in which Shiratama would express mentally. In short, he would pray for his comrade to be alright as he proceeded with a stunt that she’d likely not agree with.

"I just hope . . . . .”

Were the last ’dying’ words of the Senju as the slithery creature did just as it sought out to do, swallow Shiratama whole. The Senju’s surroundings went pitch black instantly and for a brief moment he’d experience the hot malodorous breath of the worm. There was no way in hell he would allow himself to die in here. Within seconds a scorching flame released itself from his entire body, searing the inside flesh of the beast with severe burns and contraptions. All that was around Shiratama would appear as if they were melting away, even his own skin suffered some burn damage from the intense heat. He was just getting use to this feeling, this was the first time he managed to use his combustion technique to this degree.

"I just hope that you like your meals extra spicy!”

Finishing his sentence, the fiery Senju swung his blade in a circular motion looking to rupture through the neck of the worm like hot butter, ultimately decapitating it from the inside out. Whether or not the worm tunneled through the ground after swallowing Shiratama was yet to be discovered. What was more important was the safety of his friend.

The Senju’s clone was swift. A last ditch effort to save his precious princess, he threw her to the side while they were in the air, the clone turning to a burning jelly upon being grabbed by the worm’s grabbing mouth. It would cover the mouth that had extended to take him. The burning beginning and causing a screech even before the attack of the original Shiratama. It got sticky napalm around some of the outter lips of the beast as well as the inside of its mouth. Squirming and squeeling, slices being made to it’s body. While it was not down and out, it was irritable and in pain. It would indeed redirect its attention to Shiratama, staring him down and getting ready to launch. But it’s almost perfect ears would detect another sound. Retreating at the closeness of its comrade, it would dive beneath the ground like its companion that had been set on fire. Both of them in holes within the cavern, speeds and erratic movements tearing at the structure, stones would continue to fall from the ceiling. Getting larger and more dangerous.

Napalm would indeed hit his companion. With something grabbing her attention, or causing her to freeze, whatever be the case, she did not react as nimbly as her admirer would have expected her to. The Uchiha would get to the ground much quicker than comfort, and the falling stalactites would prove an issue. Smaller ones hitting her in a variety of ways, she’d have a few cuts and bruises but nothing major. No. The larger problem would be the large stone that slammed upon her ankle. Having not been aware enough of her surroundings to rid herself of the injury, she would at the very least be sprained, if not broken.

Shiratama screaming was all the more targeting the returning worm needed. The one he had originally doused with Napalm. The one that was out for revenge upon this little man. Dropping from the ceiling like a humongously angry speeding bullet to engulf the Senju. And it succeeded. Mouth open wide and diving onto the young man, it would begin burrowing into the ground. Taking his new meal off with him and let his compadres take care of the other being. It wouldn’t realize it was in for a overcooked meal. Fire spread throughout its belly, the source being the one it had just attempted to consume. Swallowing of the Senju caused more pain than the worm would have originally thought possible, the child lined with fire inches over his entire body making him particularly hard to get down his gullet and scarring the inner tissue as he was further moved along the digestive track. That would have gone all fine and dandy eventually, his stomach acids eating away the child, destroying him into little bits of nutrients.

But this wasn’t the case. Even as the other two worms had gone into the ground and walls, flying about the dirt to rid themselves of pain. Stone and earth would crumble to the ground and the floor of the area would be difficult to remain upright upon. The worm that had swallowed Shira would get a nasty surprise. His words would be much to muffled to amuse anyone within the vicinity, but the blade of his weapon would begin to cause internal damage to the worm he was in. Sadly for Shira, it wouldn’t slice clean through the creature. It was both large and enough and sturdy enough on the outside to resist such hopes. The blade would indeed cause damage though. Ripping through the elongated organs of the creature and rupturing the tunnel he was being eaten with, the high-pitched wailing of the creature would resonate through the tunnel of earth it had been creating. It would continue to wail and try to burrow, hoping to rid itself of its pain, only to be caught in a slow death. The worm would eventually struggle to a standstill, the death rattle taking its life. It would be head first in the earth, near twenty five feet down with Shira ten feet below the surface of rock still within the creature. The backend would stick out from its new tunnel, another ten feet or so of worm end sticking out.

Meanwhile, the cavern continued to crumble and shake. Hanadoki was not alone in these caverns.  Two worms remaining that threatened to show their forms at any time. And Shiratama had a bit of work to get himself out of his... situation.

Soar Above All.

Well things couldn't have gotten any worse, as she had finally prepared the other jutsu, now she would simply hold onto the chakra she summoned, simply due to the fact that now, she was in an even stickier situation than normal. Luckily, injuries were something she was forced to work through. Now, of course, she'd have to be a lot more cautious in any movement and be ready to scream her head off in the process of each one. Having been thrown by the clone, the napalm it was made of was able to get on her clothing, though slightly, thanks to everything shaking so intensely. The arm didn't do that well in the midst of things and having been thrown, she wasn't prepared for the stalagmites, which resulted in a less, than comfortable landing, but she was able to make her way to the ground floor all the same. Dodging the stalagmites, while trying to get a clear shot at the worm, her heart would literally sink as she panicked in her mind and watching Shiratama tell her to flee as she sped towards him didn't help as she wouldn't make it in time, the worm taking him further into the hole. Her mind literally dropped into despair. However, before she could go off on an angry tangent, she didn't notice anything else for that split moment, and that was what cost her, a larger rock hitting her ankle.

With a deep grunt, Hanadoki would clench her jaw shut, her eyes burning fiercely as her Sharingan emerged. The entire room was shaking, and she was in more than enough pain, however, she couldn't succumb to it and there was no way she was leaving Shiratama in that thing. However, she was now at least, in reality, as the other worm had found its way back into the earth before she could do anything else. The stalagmites had stopped falling but there were still rocks to watch out for and as her Sharingan was activated, they moved a little slower, however, the reality was the the place was continually shaking, the walls, ceiling, and ground beneath her, had become extremely unstable and for most, people would say that the worst was over at least, from their surroundings. But that meant that she would have to rely on her own eyes and ears, to take in her extreme detail to notice when something would appear. Her movements now had to be calculated and processed as each move needed to count, no matter how it went down.

The chakra was still held in her arms for the fire jutsu she had prepped, but there was no target as of yet and during the time that everything happened, one of the earlier ones had returned and that was a sour sting in reality. She should have blown it up then. To use her left arm, which, was littered in first and second degree burns would be beyond painful, and difficult to use, but she figured she would be able to do at least, two more jutsu before her arm was out of commission for the rest of the fight. "I only have four on the flicker and even then, I can't fall here. I have to keep moving, but I won't leave him. Not like this." she said for her mental capacity, but the truth was, she was beyond any condition to put up a full assault. Her rational mind explained her mission and what she was there to do. "Shiratama!!! YOU BETTER COME OUT OF THAT WORM!! I"LL BE AT THE ENTRANCE BUT I AM NOT LEAVING!!" she'd scream, hoping her voice would reach him over the chaos. She was to complete her mission, and regardless, she still had yet to find an exit from the cavern itself since they had been shut in. For both their sake, she needed to find one and if the entrance was the only exit they knew of for sure, she'd have to clear the path for him.

The worms were sure to be a consistent issue, so she would hopefully be able to kill them along the way. Shiratama wasn't on their radar and that's all she wanted. She could live with herself if he made it out. She wasn't planning to die though, these worms had another thing coming if they thought she would just be dinner. Injured or not, and even as a genin, they would work for this meal. After spouting her bit of faith in him, she'd immediately take off, hopping on her right foot, as if she was hopping through the trees in Konoha, but here it was different. Her landings needs to be on specific spots that appeared to be safe, due to the shaking. Not to mention, right now, she was the target. Knowing that, her senses were on another level of alert, adrenaline pumping through her, her body hyping itself up for the inevitable appearance of two worms. IT was not fear, but it was complete survival mode at this point. She HAD to complete this mission for Hiruko and for the village, she wouldn't let any of this go to waste and she would need Shiratama in order to do it. " I have to make it there." she'd whisper, her eyes narrowing now as she zoned in on the exit, body ready to move, even with the pain receptors singing at the top of their lungs. She knew she would more than likely injure herself further but hey adrenaline was a hell of a drug.

For Hanadoki, she knew that you would never know how things went and the further she got from shiratama, the easier it would be for him to make a run for it. She was prepared to risk her life in that regard. The worms were on their way and she knew their appearance would be swift and their attack decisive. It would take one second for their plans to come into action and amongst the rumbling, she allowed her ears to range out, the room spinning become irrelevant as she looked for actual movement that was forced. Right now she was prepping for her own battle. This was it.

A dead worm carcass surrounding a small young man. With it dead and its muscles giving into that death, the body around Shiratama would certainly begin to give. What had once been a tunnel to transport him to a stomach was now a closing chamber of death. The weight of the shredded innards and non-shredded would begin to put pressure upon the lad. Being in a hole didn’t help either. The body of the creature was sinking itself into the hole, little by little. Not so slowly it would crush the man, he’d already begin feeling light headed and a great pressure surrounding him. Movements would be impeded to say the very least. Breath harder to catch. Vision blurring. He was running out of options if he delayed any longer. Sadly, all of this worm surrounding him would even block out the noise of his princess. Not to mention the shaking cavern with rumbling ground and falling stone to keep the sound further silenced from reaching the Senju.

Towards the entrance, the little Uchiha ran. And with each step, her presence was made more aware to the duo’s previous and current enemies. Each vibration and sound alerted the still living creatures of her movements and made it all the more clear that she was on the move. But so were there. Incredible speed was theirs to command, diving and swimming through the earth as it was their playground. She was agile enough to escape most falling debris, only inconsequential bits of earth dirtying her hair, skin, and outfit. No, this was not what she had to worry about. Bursting from the ground on her right would be a warm. It would dash quickly and accurately. But not at her. No, it would go from right to left in front of her, blocking the exit she so clearly craved to reach. It was also not the only issue she had to deal with. Not sensing movement from the one their other had swallowed, the attack was two-fold upon the Uchiha. The other worm also came from the ground. It was behind her and on the left. It would go to her right behind her. Both worms moving, the intention would soon be made clear. They intended to crush her between both of their bodies. Mouths shut, burrowing ready worms would slam their bodies together at the sides to squish the child.

The worms muscles were closing in tightly, trying to suffocate the fiery genin. However pressuring him with dead weight wouldn't be enough to send the young Senju to his demise. With the little room he had left and his flames keeping some of the debris at bay, he utilized his blade to butcher through the muscles until there was an opening for him to slip through. It was getting hard to breath but Shiratama had to remain focus, it wasn't just his life on the line at the moment but also his comrades. The frustration and anger of not being able to help Hanadoki added a fuel to his fire. His bad had reached a point where it couldn't cut through the worm. Rather than try endlessly to cut his way through the tough skin of the worm, he channel a large portion of his combustive fire to his right arm which he used to punch a gaping sizzling hole through the worm. At last, after having fought so diligently from within the young Senju had finally set himself free from the dead carcass which was caving in on itself. He climbed out of the small hole as if he was coming out of a sewer plagued with filth. Globs of gizzards and bloods would fall from his shoulders while making a sizzling sound due to the intense heat of the flames that surrounded his body.

Judging from how immobile the worm was, it was rather simple for Shiratama to draw into the conclusion that the beast was dead. All that was left now was to climb to the top and help Hanadoki. Unfortunately it was easier said than done, the sheer weight of the beast was causing the rocks underneathe to crumb, due to its excessive tunneling it completely dismantled the bedded rock formation.

As the corpse of the worm began to sink deeper and deeper into the depths of the cave, Shiratama had noice choice but tag along for the ride, he was too far from the top and had yet to perfect his tree walking technique to try running up the enlongated body of the worm. Down they went, crushing through the rocks to the point of no return.

Eventually the worm and Shiratama reached a point where they busted through the ceiling of a different area within the cave. Once the deceased worm's corpse hit the ground, Shiraratama flew off and crashed into a nearby wall. Much to the young Senju's dismay, he had re-injured his rib from before when he saved Hanadoki from the rocks falling from above that seperated them from the rest of the group. He'd fasten his grip along his pained rib cage while extinguishing the flames of his body combustion technique.

"Man that was one hell of a drop”

Uttered the Senju as small rocks fell from the hole above. He stood up and dusted himself off while surveying his surroundings, he kept one hand on his left rib-cage to apply pressure to the pain. From what he was able to gather, he was somewhere along a corridor which appeared to be leading even deeper into the cave. He wasn’t sure which direction to go but it was likely that the path towards his right shoulder would lead him somewhere deeper inside the cave.

He kneaded his chakra sensing ability in order to locate his comrade Hanadoki but unfortunately it appeared he was out of range. He couldn’t pinpoint the Uchiha princess however he did manage to discover chakra signatures of two unfamiliar beings from his right side. Was it possible that one of these two individuals were hiker dan? If so it’d be likely that the survivalist knew his way around the cave. Finding him would ultimately help him find Hanadoki.

"Hopefully you’re alright Hanadoki”

Shiratama murmured to himself, giving one last look up at the hole in the ceiling. Without wasting any additional time, the young Senju took the path that led to the two chakra signatures.

Through diligent effort, the Senju had broken free of his prison. Covered in disgusting muck and slime, he’d have trouble getting that smell out of his nose! While the worm hadn’t tunneled into a different area, the weight of it collapsing would send it crashing through into another realm of pocketed earth. The worm sickeningly squished to the ground, further turning into a slimey mass of nothing. The Senju would fly to the side upon impact, re-injuring his rib. The fire would have kept the innards of the worm from sliming his clothing. A benefit to him. But continued use of it surrounding his whole body, instead of just a section, not to mention charging his arm further to escape the carcass of the worm, would very much leave the boy feeling drained.

But with his new freedom, he would be able to explore the new opening of earth he had stumbled onto. Without the flame of his body, unless he had another source of light, it would be pitch black. Deep into the earth where man didn’t roam. The cave he was in was more of an elongated corridor. The ceiling was fairly high, higher than the worms would have been. But it didn’t seem unlikely that they may have created the tunnel. It was round, and curved in movements that weren’t jagged in nature. Nearly smooth with a dash of rubble, it would string on and on before the boy who had caught sight of chakra natures. He would move towards that in hope of finding his teammate.

It wouldn’t take him all that long, though it would benefit him greatly to see. The chakra signatures would be none too promising for the lad. Upon closer inspection, they wouldn’t have been people. They did indeed hold a katon nature to them, chakra surging throughout their bodies. They were large, one larger than the other. The size of the mouth was that of a worm he had just encountered and the creature standing tall would nearly hit the top of the tunnel. A jaw within a jaw, powerful clipping sections would be able to cleave through bone, this section covered the other jaw. Razor sharp teeth at its disposal for the second installment. It had the thick legs of the first creature they encountered, but wing like appendages upon its back. Its skin was thick as the rock walls were sturdy. And claws of an unnaturally grotesque nature would tap harshly against the ground. One was obviously sturdier and larger, reaching nearly three stories high if it so desired. The other maybe half the size, but wildly larger than the Senju would want to encounter. Unfortunately, they would notice him long before he would catch sight of them. One blowing intense heat from it’s mouth in the way of flame. Then. They charged.

--------
"Sir. Subjects 2 and 98 are aggravated. I can’t locate one of the shinobi. Any course of action.”

"No. Subject 2 is old enough to handle herself.”
-----------

The uchiha was not fast enough to react to the speeding worms. Their speed was great and deadly. Their size and thickness as much so. They would collide at their sides, crushing the girl between their massive bodies. No doubt would her body lose all air that she would have to recover. But any injuries she had would be worsened greatly by the impact. Two large creatures had crushed her. This would further cause damage to her ribcage, snapping a few bones and making it increasingly painful to breathe. The two worms would have crushed her and whisked by, leaving her pathetically upon the ground in a crumbled mess. Both worms would circle back around to face her, though one in particular would rise up and aim to smash its face into her sorry little body. Closed mouth, ready to strike. It would come down onto the girl with pressure tenfold. Its speed immense and calculated upon her presence. She would be out cold if it connected.

Hanadoki was making her way but it was shortly thereafter, that the worms had made their plans and were acting them out to finish the job. Bracing herself for whatever they planned to do, it was then that she'd look back to notice the body of the worm, who swallowed Shiratama, falling completely through the hole. It was only a second but that was all it took as she turned back just in time to see the worms finally dashing towards her, as if to slam their bodies together and squish her. All would have been fine, had she only had to worry about the worms. In the midst of that turn, a stalagmite had fallen and Hana's trajectory would be completely thrown off course, her plan of being able to counter completely failing. She had the choice, being harpooned and surely killed or being bruised and battered even further and, she had chosen the latter, spinning around the stalagmite and her body would then be crushed between the two worms.

Instead of bracing, she had allowed her body to relax as much as was possible, her muscles not as tense thanks to the split second switch, but she would not escape this unscathed. Ribs were broken, her arm littered with burns, not only now bruised black and blue, but it fractured in multiple places, near to broken as well. Her entire right half was bruised from top to bottom as well, having been put through the ringer in this one. Hanadoki had never been beaten this badly aside from her father, who was brutal as a trainer but loving as a father and guardian. The landing had sealed that deal as she landed head first.

Blood fell from her forehead, falling between her eyes and running down her face as she lost had lost all air. Attempting to breathe was more than a labored effort and she could only, barely at that, take in small amounts. Her hand rang louder than everything else in the room, her eyes drifting to the large hole in the earth and locking there as the worms now turned around, coming to end her life. Hanadoki's eyes glossed over, a bloody, black and blue heap on the earth in the collapsing cave. "Is this where I die?" she'd think her body refusing to move, still stunned from the slam attack the worms had dealt. Using her left arm now would be completely impossible for the rest of this mission, she knew that. What else could she really do at this moment as she tried to move and it just wasn't happening. Tears would fall from her eyes, her eyes searching the hole, awaiting Shiratama's arrival, but she knew she had failed him, as she had failed Hiruko before him. He had gone down that hole after being swallowed, and Hanadoki couldn't bear the thought of at least, not dying with him. That worm, she had to find it. Maybe....maybe... he was alive. She would be near death, but it'd be okay, she hated life altogether as it was right now.

Forcing herself up to her knees, her mouth clinched to stop her from screaming out, she'd cry out from the pain that spread from her chest, the broken bones effecting her breathing. Only short breathes possible before the pain increased further. "You'll...have to work.....for this one.....boys." she'd laugh a little. Taking in a small breathe that she'd use to execute her genjutsu in hopes it worked. Pressing her lips together, her whistle started low and then shrieked alarmingly high, before she fell back down, her right arm stopping her as she held herself up barely. That whistle was sure to mess up their sense, if they sensed through air vibrations. She'd encourage herself before pushing off the floor, on that sprained ankle. Her body would phase out of existence almost, her small breathes aching at the push and her body screaming in pain. Her first flicker had gotten her to the whole but she didn't know how long she had with that disruption and she could only hope her body could push through the rest of the way. "What a way to go." she'd fall into the hole with flicker number two, only using her right leg to push off the walls of the hole but aiming down to travel. Thisflicker she'd have to use her sprained ankle because her body just couldn't take it anymore but neither could that leg or both for that matter.

Falling from the hole, she'd literally crumble to the side, thinking her landing was close, she realized it was not. Grabbing the ledge, she now hung, with her right arm, she had no energy to handle it any further or any strength left. The pain was too much at once and with that, her body fell and upon attempting to land upright, her right ankle would snap. The pain from her body and shock of the new injury knocked her out cold upon impact, her body falling to the side, her eyes returned to their dark ovals of the abyss, her final thoughts wondering about her demise and if Shiratama survived.

OOC: So injuries did worsen but i was just trying to keep them together, so her body is broken on the entire left side in short. Hoping that would suffice but let me know of any changes needed.

It seemed an injured and tired Senju would hesitate. Both of the large creatures charging the young lad, he had little time to react anyway. The first, and the smaller one, would come at him from the left (his right). Swinging its large head, with the power of its legs behind it, it would bash the smaller boy from his right side and he would go sailing into the air. The air would be short lived, as his body would crumple into the tunnel wall on his left. The smaller beast would slow its pace, going a few more steps into the tunnel before turning around to come and face the Senju again.

But this was a tag team effort. The smaller one had thrown the boy into the wall, which meant the bigger one still had its cards to play. The boy, having been slammed into a wall by a much bigger and stronger creature, would likely be dazed at least for a split second after impact, crumpling to the ground like a sack of Senju potatoes. This would be when the clawed foot of the larger beast would step upon him. Not putting its full weight on him, but still enough to crush him into the ground. Leaning its eyeless head down, dirty breathing echoing near the boy’s head, it would inhale. And then let out a stream of fire upon the boy. Cooked Senju is best Senju

------------------------------------
The girl was as good as dinner. She had been crushed. Was bleeding, bruised and broken. All that was left was to crush her bones to dust and feast away. Ready, in position, and preparing to descend into a harsh fall upon the Uchiha, something would catch both worms’ ears. A shrill whistle. It would be hard to miss in the cavern itself, not to mention to two large creatures with superior hearing. And they wailed. A horrible, dark tone that resembled dying creatures beneath black tar. It was sickening and loud. The worms, having no means of blocking their senses physically would writhe about the cavern. Slamming their bodies into the ground, walls, and ceiling. They had gotten rid of the fire and sticky napalm in such a way with the dirt, it was quite possible the ringing could be subdued. But it did not. The jutsu continued onwards even as the girl sped in magic sprints across the ground.

She was heading for the hole Shiratama fell down. Luckily for her, she was moving quickly. Large creatures slamming into a cavern that had already been unstable beforehand tended to cause falling rubble. On top of that, they were hot piss mad. In attempts to race after the girl and try to get rid of the ringing, they would continually smash walls and braced pillars in the cavern. It was going to give way. Large creatures causing a ruckus was no way to have the day. Solid and huge rocks falling from the ceiling, dirt closing in, every form of the earth cascading down around the three of them.

Hanadoki was in for a mess. She went down the hole just barely in time to catch a worm flying right over top of it. Darkening the area completely below while its body moved over. For a brief moment, she might see light again, as the worm’s body removed itself from atop the hole. This would soon be remedied by the fact the cavern above was caving in. All said rocks and dirt were tumbling down. Flattening upon itself, the hole would be one point of escape for the pressure. The girl best hurry, or she would be crushed. Again. Rocks, stone, dirt, soil... they came racing after the descending Uchiha. And just barely, she would miss it. Her hand holding to the last bit of the hole, darkness above but the sound of rushing dirt avalanche clear to the ear. She would fall to the edge of the gaping hole above and be knocked out of her senses. Passed out upon the ground. Her somewhat convenient position kept her from being completely buried by the falling rubble. Alas, not completely. Some of the looser dirt would cover the unconscious girl’s body. Thankfully for her life, the larger stones just barely missed her, rolling over her blackened hair in a tumbling dash.

Meters away, in the darkness of the tunnel. Somewhere... there was a Senju. A Senju and two creatures.
