Well that was going to smart when the adrenaline wore off. But the leg was functional enough to keep running, though perhaps should be treated with some rest very soon. As he continued to charge, he would notice a split in the path again. It wasn't like Reiki remembered anything thanks to the heat of the moment. Instead, he just wanted to shake the boar off of his back. Damn it, he got rid of a weapon for a momentary stun that didn't even do much to prevent damage from entering! But it could have been worse, it could have been worse. That was something for him to repeat to try and feel better.

To shake off an animal, he needed to make swift and sharp twists, so he took the path to the left out of what seemed to be instinct before charging towards whatever was next. And he'll be damned if it was another animal, because that meant he had to use a rather costly technique to kill them both. Not the start Reiki would have liked, but it wasn't like the crowd wouldn't enjoy it for their entertainment. And so the brunette would be damned to the fate of whatever the road in front of him presented, for if the boar was smart enough, it wouldn't be fool from a simple corner turn.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 Reiki would be running with the boost of adrenaline that came with most retreats. As a shinobi his pace was quick, possibly equal to that of the boars. The kumogakure shinobi deciding to take the turn, it was the right decision. At least not the decision to take him back to the room he'd arrived. Though maybe he was supposed to lead the boar back to the room? It didn't seem to fit much into the past clue though, other than that of the pig pieces, which were now within Reiki's pocket anyways. The plan was more turns would cause the boar to lose track of the shinobi. There'd be one simple problem, the boar wasn't following by sight. It also wasn't using it's vast intelligence to plot a route. Instead it had a rather large snoot constantly consuming stale air. It'd be the scent which the boar was able to keep trail. The trail left would be one longer than the last straights Reiki had taken, potentially causing a tinge of regret taking the path. Running through it the exact distance of the path was unclear. A wall would soon be ahead of Reiki, but with a torch embedded, it did not mark the end. Instead there'd be two new directions Reiki could take. Left or Right? Time was fleeting.

Left right left right left right left right. Screw it, right. There was little time to think with the boar on him, and he was grateful to even have a choice in the beginning. If only he had a coin to confirm that right was the way to go, but there was no time to think about that. Just being able to have the speed to outrun a boar for as long as he had was a gift enough for him to enjoy. But if he could shake off the boar and obtained a moment to himself, he was going to have to have a breather. After all, the scratch on his leg needed to be considered. Sure, he was no medic, but he could let the bleeding continue for a bit before it dried out. Time was of the essence, but Reiki was nearly killed. If he failed the exams, then he failed, but at least he could still breathe.

Though... Was that really his mindset? No... It couldn't be. Of course not. Regardless, he was making his way into a sharp right turn into what he hoped was a clean path for him to travel. At this point, he didn't know where he was and had no way of returning back to the entrance on purpose. It was all a bunch of guesswork thanks to a dead end and a boar chasing him down. Something went wrong with his choices, but he couldn't pinpoint it for the life of him.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 Reiki like others had and more likely would, entered the maze totally upon guess work. No real game plan to the maze aspect, instead there'd just be guessing. Left or right? A coin flip would of taken the pressure of Reiki for making the wrong choice, but really it sufficed to the same end. Sadly though the luck of this genin wasn't at all within the maze marked number seven. He'd choose to go right and sadly this would also be the wrong route, he'd hit another right after his first, but then he'd hit another dead end. The sound of the boar veering around the corner behind him. He'd have to face the creature once more, but at the very least this dead end didn't also have a boar. Would the Kumogakure shinobi attempt another distraction torch throw? Was a fight going to begin or did Reiki have a new idea to escape this beast.

ANOTHER DEAD END! Well, screw this. Reiki knew one way to get out of such a mess. There was no way that the boar could cover up the whole way. With just a bit of room to squeeze through, he would manage to get a quick sign up before turning around to face the boar. Within the blink of an eye, his body would seemingly disappear under the influence of Body Flicker that Kaori taught him and Fuyuko the other day. It was an escape technique, and now he knew why she wanted him to know of it. With the flicker, he would quickly move to the side of the boar for a tight squeeze before seemingly reappearing at the other end of the dead end, as if Reiki chose left instead of right. At least, that was his intention.

If he managed to make his way out of that with the body flicker, he would be on the left path instead of the right one that tried to damn him for hell. A small amount of chakra was used, but that was better than facing the stupid dead ends he had to before. There HAD to be something up with his methods, the maze was trying to damn him for hell. What was he missing? WHAT WAS HE MISSING!?

By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, and any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 Reiki would rather easily slip past the boar with his shunshin, it wasn't a summon and clearly wasn't of a shinobi's techniques. So it'd once again have to stop question the situation, then with the boy having past the pig. It'd snort whiff up his scent and skitter around to face the direction the shinobi was running. It seemed that this contestant had taken the lightest of feet to the task at hand. If speed was a goal clearly Reiki was obtaining it. He'd have a slight head start, so there'd be a good second when he hit a wall. Not physically, but there's be a torch forward and a route either left or right. Once again the dangerous decision was upon him, so he'd have to think quick and hopefully pick right. Avoid the addition of anymore boar. There were restraints to the speedy technique, but usually at a low cost in chakra. It kind of felt more, but that might of been an extra burst from the adrenaline. Right?

Even if he had training in taijutsu and a body that could last long enough in combat, he felt a slight level of strain on his body from all of the running. A shame, but it was worth it to have some form of distance gained. Coin toss odds yet again as he came up to a split on the path yet again! Oh come on, he didn't need any more of these in his life. Left right left right left right... Right. Come on, this was all guesswork at this point, his mind could figure out a strategy and he had no clue where he even was in the maze anymore. The boar stirred his mind well enough for that to happen.

So the right path he would take, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Reiki left the torch where it was, since it seemed to be the only light in this certain area and he may have to cross it later. Other than that, he had no reason to not continue moving on as long as the boar was on him. But perhaps with enough distance made in between them, he might be able to lose it! But what happens after that? Well... Er, that's a good question.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 Reiki was starting to get the feeling he was going to be lost. He had neither a plan nor an idea of where he was in the maze. This wasn't good and the audience would see his struggle, it'd surely be a little embarrassing, but it seemed the embarrassment didn't stop. With the decision to go right made the cloud shinobi would travel a couple tiles, before the need to go right was made. However he'd not go far before the sound of a second boar would be heard. That or the first had slipped through a secret passage. Which turning back to find the first boar would prove this potential idea wrong. As far as luck went at this point it was clear Reiki hadn't much, maybe he should of found something to work off. Or tackled the maze in a more methodical manner, but then again there was only a right and wrong answer. If only there was some type of guide, a hinted guide somewhere at the start. As it'd appear though frantic nothing in the maze other than the boars held any potential of clues.

He lost it...

No no, his mind is lost now...

As the second boar came in the fray... His mind had just enough stress for this to be lasting the way it had. Impulse, stupidity, anger, all of these things Reiki possessed. Pushed to the brink of it all, the boars were sitting on death's row. It was unwise to use chakra, but it was even more unwise to let this continue any further. This was ridiculous, and now Reiki was pissed. His eyes were glaring at the boar in front of him, anger manifesting through his violent lightning chakra as it began to shoot out from his body.

"Lightning Chakra Mode..."

Yes, he was pushed to this point. The maze challenged him well enough to bring him here, it was looking to damn him and he wasn't going to take it without a fight. Hopefully the audience liked spending money for their tickets, because he was about to make it rain with boar blood.

"Stage One..."

And with that, his body would seemingly vanish again. In reality, he moved back again at the same speed of the body flicker, traces of sparks following him. The boars had a messy habit of leaving themselves scrambling to turn around. That would be the one in front of the second boar. Neither could be rushing him at this point. And yes, he could try to continue running. But these boars and constantly picking the wrong choices just made this a living hell for him.

And so he would rush them both with the intent of killing, not looking to leave either boar alive. They were allowed to kill living things, Reiki was just playing by the card's rule. They both carried his weight per boar, but there was plenty of momentum for the both of them when he rams into them, plus a little mitigation from the armor goes a long way as well. Trying to slam into the first boar, which would consequently push into the second boar, and he would aim to smash them both against the wall to finally put them to sleep. Enough was enough.

DESCRIPTION:

The user wraps their body in a cloak of Raiton though not used offensively, the cloak is used to stimulate the users nervous system. Speeding up neural synapses to react faster, as well as pushing the users body to its absolute limit, allowing for tremendous raw speed, a speed which makes even a one tomoe Sharingan user confused as to the user's whereabouts. The increase in speed comes with a great level of fatigue attached with it making this a jutsu best suited to be used when needed and not spammed throughout the entirety of a fight (though it can be used that way its highly dangerous). It is effectively an armor that surrounds the user allowing them to brush off and B-rank and below Raiton techniques and also C-rank and lower Physical attacks.

This jutsu improves on the basis of the Lighting Release Body Flicker and makes it a more longer lasting affect (2 rounds) with more more refined increases. But also much more costly price as over use in one fight could overexert the user causing the body to shut down in due to crippling pain.

Acts as an elongated Shunshin technique. The user can move at shunshin speeds with the above benefits for 2 rounds with one High usage of Chakra. This can be used four times total during a thread, each time tiring out the body of the user. After the fourth time, their muscles are completely deteriorated.

Note: Without the proper SAs, just like Chidori, the extreme speed would only be for straight lines, without curving, and giving a form of tunnel vision.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 Despite being trained to fight, these boars weren't so trained to out do the academy skills at their best. The size of the beasts though would make them slaughter students recently passed, but every contestant was a genin who'd prove their worth. One on one trickery, intelligence and or good skill would cement a victory one on one. However that didn't mean that going above the order didn't also work, but it would be something that'd come at a very serious cost. Chakra, it'd drain for all techniques, but some more than others. The boars would be easily bypassed by the lightning armor, but then getting charged further forced to take the hit. There wasn't anything a simple animal could do to resist the skills of such a proud technique. Both boars would be defeated, but at what cost? Reiki's technique had troubled him before, but now it'd feel much worst. Something about the jutsu didn't feel right, it would of been a similar feeling for the shunshin, but this time it'd be much more clear. There was something causing jutsu to cost more stamina or chakra. Thankfully though there'd be little time between activation, boar killing and realization to do anything about it. Consider it a lesson for the next confrontation in the maze? Hope there weren't more confrontations. HEY WAIT A SECOND!? Upon further analysis of the defeated boars. Reiki would notice both wore a piece of cloth, it'd be a clue! A note on each. One which read, 'Your fortune is true.' And the other which would read, 'There's as many rules, as forks in the road to your escape.'

The drain has chakra control applied, the best he could anyways. So for the maze to completely negate that would cause him to feel the effects of it the first time he did when he was training with a certain Iwagakure shinobi. Hm, what if he ended up not learning from her? At that point, Reiki may have passed out from exhaustion from using his chakra without the control. And now with the two boars dead on the ground, he was huffing and puffing as he finally had a break. A bit of energy needed to be held within his body, he could restore it with rest. It was a time-costly action, but this was a fight for his life.

Meanwhile, there were two cloths on the bodies of the boars. What? There were planted cloths on them, so even the enemies were rewarding the users for making the wrong choices? Perhaps they were the right choices? No no, that couldn't be... They tried to kill him after all. Still, they did provide some information when he read them. The first one wasn't so hopeful. It just confirmed that his fortune was true, something about the entrance way being his best guide. Okaaaaaay? But the second one was a lot more useful! And when he read this, he would place the rule card out from his pockets to count the rules on them. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight forks before the exit...

And now that he had time to think about it instead of being chased by the boars, he would remember that turning back forced him to choose the other path or the entrance. That was the "left" that was actually a right. That was one. Then there was the empty dead end, which was before this one. Then there is this one, where he left boar bodies lying on the ground. Three, this was the third out of eight splits he had to make. If he could just push past the other five forks, he would make it!

Meanwhile, he would let the rest of his technique play out as he charged towards the path that was obviously the correct one, the left, but not without taking the torch between the split first. Hey, he needed weaponry, and that couldn't come in the form of his chakra. They were mitigating the effects of his chakra control, so he needed to be a little more conservative with them. A slight bit tired, perhaps. But at least he was walking, so he could slowly regain back his strength while pressing on down the left path.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 More information provided and still Reiki would be lost on his fortune. He'd sadly be missing out on the easy way out, but most contestants choose luck. A choice that they'd maybe regret as much as Reiki, but so far three wrong choices plagued the Kumogakure shinobi's start. It'd however give him more clues and confidence to continue through the maze. He'd walk to his next destination and it'd be quite the walk, more than half the length of the maze and he'd find his next right or left turn decision. Despite calmly approaching this split in the road, he'd feel barely at best recovered from his earlier chakra use. His physical stamina likely feeling normal, but his actual chakra reserves were suffering. Little did Reiki know that there'd be no resting off this challenge, as the walls had seals underneath them to absorb chakra. Every second in the maze was a little more chakra zapped from him entirely. Every release of chakra as a jutsu or ability would have an extra drain, as the release would essentially open the flow of chakra sucking. Where would Reiki go next, left or right?

At last, given peace and quiet for the moment was nice for the maze to offer. There was hope for him to escape this maze thanks to the second cloth. The first one, the jury was still out on. At least he knew that he wasn't being mislead by the fortune. With that in mind, he was brought to a left and right scenario again. Two lefts were taken so far, so he would theoretically be going downwards if he when down a third left. There had to be at least one time where the right path was the correct one, right? All luck and no concrete evidence to back it up. At least killing boars brought some clues onto the scene, and Reiki wouldn't mind one at this point. He would just have to be a little creative with his methods of killing rather than relying on chakra. Seems like he prepared his entire life for that.

So he chose the right path, hoping that it would guide him down the correct path this time around. Reiki had to keep a mental note of where he was at at all times. From the entrance, then a right, a left, a left, and now a right. This would be the fourth step and theoretically bringing him halfway through the maze if the cloth was correct about anything.

First Exam: Maze Seven Reiki's Lucky Number 7 A right turn would take Reiki two tiles before, he'd be forced to take another right. Travelling eight tiles, then he'd be forced to make a left turn. Two more tiles and another left turn, then a long ten tiles of travel before a final left. It'd be final because six tiles downward would hit a true dead end. Four dead ends found and two pigs killed. If the peaces played any part of the whole maze, then there'd be two more pigs somewhere within the maze. It'd also mean the other path would of been the right choice, so returning to where the decision was made and taking the other direction. As it was the only direction remaining, there'd be four tiles down before a new left and right decision was presented. If there was a pattern presented, then the next wrong direction would be another piggy. It'd also be another clue, but if the clues were right, he'd be already past the halfway point of this maze.

Man, he had a knack for choosing the wrong ways. This one stalled his advance since it took him pretty far, but at least he was able to handle things physically now that he had this much time with peace. And there was a bit of thought given to how to kill the boars in this maze. Throwing the torch would have been stupid. Instead, he needed to beat a boar over the head with it over and over until it was downed. Perhaps it wouldn't die from the bashes, but it would have to stay down from all the damage to the head. Relatable.

Regardless, he had to travel down the left path. Was there not a time where the right path was the correct answer? What if he chose left during the next cross? Well, whenever that happened in what he hoped would be another fork, he would prepare himself to go against what he told himself before. If he was correct, then there was a pattern in the maze to exploit. And so he would find himself back at the fourth crossroad he took a right at and continued to walk straight as if he chose the left path.

Then it was another coin toss. This time, he had to choose the left path. It has been right the past three times.
