To go straight or to go to the left? Did it make a difference? Nope. Let's go to the left to see what was down below. If he would actually hesitate at this point in time, Reiki would be a mere fool. Now he was admittedly kind of hoping he would be wrong at this point, for he would have quite a story to tell to his allies back when he returned to the village. Assuming he did anyways, so that was stupid thinking. Regardless, he was hoping even more for the path he took to be correct so that he would find the door that the first shinobi mentioned to him. And if someone was there to try and give him instructions, he'll be damned to take them.

If there is any plus to this, it was the fact that he might be able to use the torch on the boar. A dead end would lead him to jumping over the boar and striking while it was still confused and trying to scuttle around, hopefully a good crack to the skull would knock it down if not kill it. If not, he'd have a real mess on his hands. Pray that there are no dead ends on this path in the first place.

Reiki's Lucky Number 7

Reiki would choose to dart left instead of straight, he'd do so without hesitation. However his path taken would be another long one, as he'd travel past nine tiles. Then he'd enter a brightly lit room, it's brightness caused strain to normal eyes. The room had a chandelier with many lights to brighten the room, in the center of the room was a pedestal with tanto sticking out of it. Upon the pillar was a plaque with an image of a maze on it.

Behind the pillar and at the opposite end of the room was a door, it was absolutely massive almost three stories tall. It appeared to be made out of metal and where a lock would be center of the door, was instead a strange looking red gem. It'd have a red line running down the crease of the shut door, leading to the floor which would trail to a mat.

Painted upon the door was a samurai performing the act of hara-kiri, or suicide by a wound drawn acrss the chest. Both doors each had a samurai performing the act facing one another, as well as facing the odd looking gem. There'd be little time for Reiki to really react to the door, as he'd in no time have the boar back on his heels threatening to hurt him. Though the door wasn't really giving a more positive alternative.

You've been inflicted with multiple cuts, these will remain sore to the touch as a weakness and increase your risk for poisons. Expect this to go on until properly treated.

FINALLY!

Screw the results of the maze, he had a boar on him! But now that he found the giant door behind it, he would notice that the painting was portraying a defeated samurai committing suicide in order to make up for their loss. Basic Samurai culture, accept death before defeat. But that was as much time as he was going to get before turning around to the boar. He needed time to do think about it, for that didn't seem so obvious when he looked at the door. It was supposed to be obvious? Killing himself wasn't going to get him to the next part of the maze, and was he going to have to get someone to kill themselves? Perhaps the boar...

Well, it was reckless and stupid. But the boar was completely situational, resulting in that not being the answer. The least that Reiki could do was kill a boar and take whateved advice it had. Since there was more space to work with in the room, he would move back near the door before waiting for the boar to charge. Once it seemed close enough, he would aim to quickly step to the side in hopes that it would slam against the door. Even if that wasn't the case, he hoped for it to scramble so that he could raise the torch above his head and slam down onto it's head before it could aim to charge again, and definitely not just once. Until it died, he would keep smashing.

Reiki's Lucky Number 7

Reiki whether he was panicked or caught confused by the door, he'd do very little to take advantage of the new room. Instead he'd make a very basic plan, he'd hope to get the animal to charge into a wall. A door more accurately and maybe he'd expect the animal to charge the door open for him, his alternative to the door knocking out the boar was to hit it with a stick. The torch lost it's flame long ago when removed, so only the object was effectively just a short stick.

The well lit room left the boar more than capable of seeing it's wall. So it's feet would pad to stop it prior to collision. Shifting it's head to aim for the direction the boy moved too. The shinobi was definitely faster and more agile than the pig, but instead of trying to avoid it Reiki moved to confront the beast. A swift swing of the torch. *CRACK!* The torch shattered into nothingness, it'd manage to only piss the animal off further.

Too close to the animal and it's head, the animal would lower it's snout then thrust upwards. Jousting both it's tusks right into the boys gut. It was more shallow than a solid hit by a kunai, but it'd come with a the brute force of the pigs weight. It'd not only be a stab though, as the creature would try to violently shake it's head in the midst of stabbing the kumogakure shinobi. It would be quite the painful experience.

With it though the chandelier would vanish, the fine finish of the room dulling and the door with all it's decor would disappear. Only the pedestal with the tanto remained, as everything else was just an illusion. The room was actually lit by torches, the door would be leading to a large set of stairs. Standing before them would be another man, he wore a very elegant robe and looked to be quite old. He wore a chunnin vet over his robe and fancy hat with Takigakure symbol upon it.

Creating a single hand sign, the man would create an illusion for the boar. It'd seem to see something and spooked pull it's snout back and run off. Granted Reiki hadn't reacted to being gored with his own jutsu or tactics. "You should wrap that wound or you could bleed out." The man would state to Reiki, as he'd wave the shinobi to follow him. "It's this way to the next part of the exam." The man didn't wait long at all before walking up the stairs.

You've been inflicted with multiple cuts, these will remain sore to the touch as a weakness and increase your risk for poisons. Expect this to go on until properly treated.

Why didn't you trade the torch for the Tanto?!

One might say he wasn't feel whole.

That pun out of the way, the pain was immense and the only thing given in compensation for it was the fact that he made it out... Onto the next step of the exams. Physically, his body needed to recover. Wrapping the wound was a good first step, and it hurt like hell to be bleeding out the way he was. Forget the jacket, it was not giving him any extra armor. And so he would wrap it around his body to cover up the massive blood loss, cutting the losses. He made it out, and he hopefully would have some time to recover while the others were doing their puzzles to at least have the energy to muscle through the second part. Surviving was key, and he wasn't doing that great a job at it.

If there was anything he could do, it was take the tanto while he could. Reiki had nothing, no weapons, no medicine, nothing. That was his mistake, entering unarmed and unequipped, it was a miracle for him to have survived that first step. Just survive... Just make it. It... Did matter if he passed or not, but he wanted to at least come out of it to tell the tale. If he managed to have that on him, he would at least have something to work with in order to keep himself from dying. Please be an intelligence test, at least that didn't force him to lose any more blood.

This was the time for him to reflect on his mistakes and having his body try to recover. No way was that gaping one going to be completely patched up naturally, but the rest had a better chance. The more time he had, the more his health could stabilize. At least his chakra wasn't drained too much, and his energy will recover as he would walk up the stairs to await the next instructions.

"Y-Yeah." He stated faintly before following up the stairs. What the hell was going to happen now? Only time would tell. But the further away it was, the more he could recover.

The man wouldn't really wait for Reiki, instead he'd simply prove the stairs weren't a trap by going up them first. They'd lead outside, not only of the maze, but quite literally to the world outside. The bright light of escaping the tunnel almost blinding, but this would lead to the new stage of the next exam.

You've been inflicted with a decent wound due to the goring, so try to keep that in mind down the line.
