Maze Six

At reaching yet another split in the path, Miho would now start to have serious doubts on believing in the continuation of this course. Though was it better to have choices or to have none at all? With the teen looking about her, she'd find herself drifting this time to the course on the right, perhaps allowing her doubts to consume her at last. A change in path then, one that could very well take her further in or even more round. There was no way of knowing at this point, which left even more concern in her heart. What if she was already walking in circle? What if she had found herself in an illusion and was only not aware of it? So many questions, yet she could not piece together an answer by standing still. So she pressed on. Her steps taking her to the right this time and hopefully, to another clue to assure her of some progress. SPOILER: Click to show

First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze Miho if she believed in herself getting more options as a good sign, then she'd soon find herself only four tiles over presented with another left or right. She'd taken two lefts and a right now, did that match any type of hint from earlier? If not there'd only be the lay of making same decisions or switching it up once again. Left had served her well, so maybe left would be the path to take. Right though lead her to this decision, so maybe more right decisions were to come? At least there wasn't or at least hadn't been any three way decisions. It was always able to be broken down to left or right really. A coin might of made this whole venture a lot easier, but if it was physically just a maze, then there'd be a right or a wrong direction. There could of been as a shinobi an expectation to put forth more than an average person navigating a hedge maze. Though not every shinobi had a talent to help travel through two dimensional decisions, it was likely fair to reward those creative enough who did. Though the challenge was still labeled as wits and everything needed to succeed was provided. At least that was what everyone had been told at the start.

Maze Six

Was she going mad? No...it was simply that this was indeed a maze and with it could naturally be provided in having a repeated dimension of things. Still, even she was finding it hard not to be frustrated by the strangeness of not only finding little to no differences, but in fact yet another two way decision. An example of her life if Miho were to be honest with herself. But the pressure was still on in ensuring that her choices did not end up being incorrect. Though she reminded herself that if she came to a point where options were no longer available would be when she should worry. For now, the course of action required was once again that of decision and questioning the situation at hand. Two lefts and a right.....wait....perhaps there was a pattern here after all. Thinking back to the walls, she began to recall the strange images once more. Perception...strange as it had been, did give presence to something of a reminder to what she had seen. Then there were the wall images which flashed into memory. Monkey, Monkey, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon, Monkey, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon, Monkey, Monkey and Monkey....That's it! Thats the connection!! It was long shot...but it would make sense...each were an indicator of a direction...though how could she be sure which one meant what? Or even if this theory was right? There was also the fact that there had been kinds of deep setting patterns on the walls at the entrance. Dragon, Monkey, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Monkey, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Monkey, Dragon, Dragon, Monkey, Dragon and Dragon... Two different wall signs, and a whole other set of choices. But, if she was to assume that her decisions had been accurate so far in her taking a chance. Then perhaps the first alignment was indeed the correct way. If so, then her next path would take her to the left once more. "Here goes...." First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze Miho would finally decide it was time to use the clues to make decisions. It was a good decision as this was based upon wits and that was the challenge provided. However there'd be one break in this logic, as she'd grasp at the entry ways wall. Was she expecting their to be twenty turns in this maze? It could of been a hundred turns though, that information wasn't readily provided. OR had it been? If the grid was any representation of the maze, then there was only 23 tiles up, by 23 tiles across. She'd traversed easily twenty, but only gotten four decisions to make. This decision would coincide with her thoughts on the wall, so she'd be decided to go with the left route. The route would however not prove to be correct, it'd prove to be a new challenge altogether. As she'd travel down two tiles she'd hit an immediate left turn, it'd however take only a tile or two before a sound arose. A snort would be heard, it'd be immediately followed by a squeal, as well as the sound of something heavy with hooves charging the Konohagakure shinobi.

Maze Six

As her decision had been set, her path would seem to take her much longer than before. Within reaching yet a long corridor, it would soon feel as if she were no longer alone as she had once feared. Though the loud snort was enough recognition of that, leaving the teen to blink as she could hear rapid footsteps clapping in her direction. Had this been a mistake? She was certain it wasn't but she couldn't be sure unless she saw it through. What could it be? There was mention of dangers being present in this maze, along with the idea of getting lost. Thankfully, the rules did state that she could do harm to living things. So, there was solace in at least that. But, what if this...thing..could be of use to her? With her fists already at an offense position, she would release the clenched tension within them, simply deciding to rely on her relaxes. The path was narrow, but there was plenty at her disposal, such as the walls themselves. The pressure was on for her to make a move, so in using the wall as her best option, she would quickly leap upon the side of it, holding chakra onto her limbs as she pressed herself up upon the side corner,moving far enough into it as she prepared yet another jutsu to make use of just in case this creature was much more intelligent. In stringing together a set of hand seals, her hands would glow as soon as she was sure that the beast was close enough, causing a small light to emerge from the flames as she braced herself for what would come next. By applying chakra to the soles of the feet, the shinobi gains the ability to walk and stand on vertical surfaces or even upside down. NAME: Shōshaku no jutsu [Cauterizing Technique] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu [Medical] REQUIREMENT: Enhanced Chakra Control SA ELEMENT: -- DESCRIPTION: A simple medic jutsu that needs little chakra, but some modicum of control. The user will gather concentrated chakra in the palm of their hand until the blue hue of chakra can be seen. Then, it will place the hand upon the wound and forcefully cauterize it.

First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze Removing herself from the ground and to the wall would put Miho on a plain that Boar couldn't. A sound advantage that could of been taken as clever, but there was more tricks to the maze. As Miho latched to the wall, she'd find herself immediately slipping. Attempting to put more chakra into the footing would help, but also make it more abundantly clear. The walls weren't just normal stone, at least the one she decided to stand upon wouldn't be normal. Something was off and that off feeling was literally the chakra being drained from her body. Wall walking only making it that much more abundantly clear. IF Miho wanted she could suffer a medium to high drain to remain on the walls, or she could dismount and reconsider her plan. The boar would be coming in quick, it was easily the girls size. It however appeared to be a simple boar, as in it was just a vicious animal. It wasn't a summon or some shinobi trained animal. Though it was in fact trained to fight, it wouldn't be so trained that it couldn't be fought. Maybe.

Maze Six

While having been a sound idea at first, the strange sensation of her chakra being drained caused the teen to look towards the wall in confusion. Grip slipping, she'd attempt to apply more, only for it to be even more of a challenge to remain. Just what was this structure made of? Through gritted teeth, her idea did give merit though, allowing the vision provided by her blazing blue aura to reveal that of her supposed attack. It was a boar...a rather large one, but still no more dangerous than any animal. She could quite easily engage it, but she questioned if doing so would simply alert something larger. Still, she would swiftly push her body off the surface of the wall, landing on the opposite end of the creature as she looked back with a serious expression. From there, she began to dart down the long path in which she had set herself upon, the boar likely to still be at her heels as she proceeded further. She couldn't waste time, but she certainly couldn't chance something else being closer. First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze Her plan was far more chakra wasting then she'd of likely wanted, but Miho would be able to escape the boars tusk this jump. The animal though would throw it's body up in an attempt to gore the girl. It clearly had more than friendship on it's mind. It'd scamper about to turn itself around in the halls of the maze, as to pursue the girls 'escape'. It'd be a false success though, as she'd find herself hitting a dead end. She could attempt to jump over the animal again, but it'd be more aware of the girls darting tactics. It'd be the new challenge of the maze, boar vs kunoichi. The pig had spun itself around by now and it'd be surely charging at her once again. The animal's squeals revealing that fact before it'd emergy into the light of the girls present and last tile. How would Miho act?

Maze Six

A dead end? So clearly she was wrong in her previous step. But now wasn't the time to think of that. After all, she had a charging animal to think about. With it moving rapidly in her direction, there was no way she could avoid it. Sure, she could try to jump again, but it narrowly allowed her such a act the last time. There was only one real choice here, though she dreaded it as it was still a life. Even if it were more beast than human. It would be tricky, but she imagined that she could very well disable the boar rather than kill it indefinitely. But the timing had to be perfect. Waiting for it to draw in closer, the girl would quickly shift in her position, moving around it between the narrowed walls of her path. Yet as she barely got around, she would soon deliver a powerful kick against the ribs of the creature, hoping to crack them and at least give way to the chance that such a blow would either stop it or at least deter from further acts of aggression. In making her move, her eyes would narrow as she waited to see the reaction, knowing that keeping on the defensive would be wise. But still, she needed to get back to the previous crossroads in order to proceed. It is a small amount of energy, but used precisely on reflexes and timing. This technique is gauged this way. When timed, the user can twist themselves abruptly out of the way of an attack. Like a speedy side-step, but a rotation of one's body to the side. A spin-move. This is only attacks in an immediate vicinity(three meters) anything else is too big an attack. Usually Taijutsu, but sometimes this technique is effective against close-range ninjutsu. NAME: Kaikai-Seki Bara [ Opening Stone Rose ] RANK: D CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Taijutsu ELEMENT: None DESCRIPTION: This technique consist of a very simple, but powerful, kick delivered to the side of the opponent - aimed at causing damage to the ribs. A powerful user of Taijutsu can use this technique to break a rib with relative ease.

First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze The pig would be up for a fight, it'd been trained to fight actually. It however wasn't trained or pitted against jutsu, it knew how to follow and fight along a shinobi. It however didn't have the depth of training to be prepared for what they could deliver. A dodge was possible, especially done differently than prior. However the pig didn't expect the girl to attack, but to retreat again. So when the girl struck it's rib cage hard enough to crack it, the animal would scream in pain. It'd scamper to the dead end, then spin around. Flailing it's head about it'd squeal viciously attempting to scare the girl away. It didn't wanna get hit again. Miho would be more than able to ditch the animal, but in it's cornered state she'd realize their was a note on the animal. She could kill it or trust her logic earlier, the images correlated at the one wall until now. However they'd also correlate if she'd used the images above the door. Perhaps that'd been the right route or maybe she hadn't really caught onto anything. She'd made mostly turns with decisions to follow, so clearly had other options to go to as well. Multiple conclusions to deduce. Would she proceed on the way she didn't travel last or would she backtrack even farther?

Maze Six

There was a small sense of sympathy for the animal, scampering to the corner whiel still putting on it's bravest face. It's defensive squeal of intimidation would likely work on most people, but Miho wasn't backing down. Especially in noting the piece of paper that seemed to dangle upon the beast. Though what could it mean? So far, at least until previously, she was under the notion that perhaps the walls would lead to a pattern in direction. That may not have been the case after all, since that level of thinking had taken her to a dead end, as well as her current companion. Would perhaps the message be a clue to get her back on track? Or simply give her the run around yet again? Looking at the wounded animal, Miho would release a breath before pulling forth her Tanto from behind her waist, leading to her making her slow and steady approach. Within moments, she would narrow her eyes as she prepared to make a killing blow. "Okay little guy....we can do this one or two ways...you relent...and let me get that message...or...we tangle one more time...decide..." First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze The animal didn't want anything to do with Miho, so when she'd approach it'd try to slip by her. It'd be easy to out maneuver especially injured, but it was trained to fight and to not trust, so without any other choice to it. A fight would ensue and with her choices set clear the animal would lose it's life with one final squeal and struggle. A note would be revealed to Miho for her murder on the creature. "Your fortune is true." Is what the note would detail, it'd be of little prevail, as there'd be nothing she hadn't deduced. Hadn't that just lead her the wrong way? Miho however used her possible correct turn to match the pattern to the wall she'd come from, but it had surely been wrong. The other wall didn't hold a pattern that matched, but maybe she was totally down the wrong direction and this was her first real hint. However there was one other possibility. The images over the doorway matched the turns she'd made so far, but it'd of not followed her last decision. Could the entrance way be referring to the doorway? Despite her assumption of it being the entrance wall, if it'd been the doorway she assumed, then the animals would be reversed in the pattern. It'd place the dragon's first, then the monkey's. The dragon's did face left, so Miho's first turns being lefts might of correlated. She did last make a right too. So there'd of been two more right's right? She could always return to the entrance to look again, or maybe she miss remembered the entrance wall. Or maybe all the clues were lies. What would the Konoha shinobi do?

Maze Six

While she may have hoped that the creature would yield, it was perhaps too much to think that it would. Swiftly taking down the weakened beast, Miho would relax somewhat, taking hold of the note before looking down upon it's message and then considering the words on the piece of paper. It was confirming the fortune's previous guidance, leading the teen taking a step back to recall it. But that had been what she'd done hadn't it? Irritated, the girl would soon find herself taking a deep breath, allowing herself to recenter. There had been something she missed..a critical notion. But what? "Okay...so if what the fortune said was true, then perhaps...wait....maybe..." It was already clear that she needed to back-track, but by how far? The wall patterns had led her astray, this was true. But there had been more in the room than simply that of the images on the wall... "The doorway..." Looking down at the slain boar, the girl would soon turn as she at least gave a small prayer to the fallen creature, returning her attention to the task at hand. The pattern on the doorway had been similar, but what it if wasn't exactly the image pattern, but the direction in which they were facing? If so, then perhaps she needed to think along the lines of that. Trekking back towards where she had first come to the dead end, she looked towards the other available option, turning down that path in which to head right this time. First Exam: Maze Six Miho's Mystical Maze Miho would travel down the path she hadn't taken last break in the road. As to follow the path in which the doorway prescribed, it'd take her up twelve tiles. She'd hit a wall, but it'd give her the options to go left or right? Arriving at yet another fork, Miho would consider the pattern that she had begun to follow, considering the entrance way yet again, though finding that the pattern at the doorway was split. There were two sets of different directions. Of course, there was also the fact that so far, the one that had gotten her further in had been the one on the left and one of the right. Still, it seemed as if she were to go with her first guess, it would be the one that matched the direction of each faced creature. The dragon had been always looking to the left, and the monkey to the right. So far, she had been two lefts and now she had made one right. Going left before had taken her into a corner and was met with a rather unpleasant encounter. So perhaps it was meant to mean that she made yet another right...right? "Hmm....This is kinda dis-concerning..Still...Its better than me guessing...Okay..." With that in mind, she began to make yet another right, hoping that it would give some closure to the issue that she had in mind. If she was right, than perhaps she could move at a much faster pace through this maze. Maybe even get to the end of it. SPOILER: Click to show
