DESCRIPTION:

The Arutemisu no Yumi is a gorgeous one-piece recurve bow. The entire bow length measures approximately 68 inches [173cm] from tip to tip. It was carved from a single piece of dark, nearly black, wood that was grown within the wilds of Mori no Kuni. It is very durable and hard to break through conventional means, but probably shouldn't be used as a defensive tool.

Intricate art nouveau vine-like designs decorate the wood and are gilded with silver. Similar silver metal pieces decorate the bow along the back of the upper and lower limbs. All metal pieces are treated with a matte coating to reduce reflectiveness and allow for stealth. Its string is made from metal woven fibers that increase its durability and tensity - increasing its firing power and preventing the string from snapping.

Chakra Reactive
By flowing wind chakra into the bow, Arutemisu can store the energy within it for a short amount of time. Anytime during a fight, the user can release this chakra in multiple ways to aid them within the fight. The most common ways would be using the wind as a boost for up to 10 fired arrows to make them fly faster and farther. Another way, to turn the normally long-ranged weapon into something for close combat, is to release all the chakra at once in a sharp concussive wave, similar to Fūton: Kiru [Wind Release: Slash]. The stored energy can only be expended once during a thread and cannot be recharged within the same thread.

Silent Nature
Despite being a recurve bow, which are notorious for the noise they make when releasing the string, Arutemisu is specifically made with materials that reduce the impact noise when it's fired. While not completely silent, one would need to be a close distance away (within 10m of the bow) to hear the noise, unless they have some sort of enhanced hearing ability.

Scoped
Built into the top of Arutemisu's riser is a special type of glass sight that magnifies items in the distance and allows for a more accurate and deadly shot. The user can see accurately up to 350m in a straight shot, barring any sort of visual obstruction. While the distance allows for greater stealth while firing, it also allows a larger window for the arrow to be intercepted by the opposing party.
