Mission Template In times of war, the worst position you wanted to be in was to have a hungry army when your enemies were at the gates. That or people who were clearly unhappy and ready to revolt against leadership. With these factors in mind, you did everything within your power to change that situation and keep it from happening. While the situation that was currently in fact was minor at best, it was the cause of plenty of tension between the farmers and agricultural staff in the village. Food was still plenty, but it was a concern none the less of what would happen if that were no longer the case. As a medic, Miho was assigned to investigate this possible problem, but not alone. They were in their own lands, but that didn't stop the chance of danger and Miho wasn't a Chunin...not yet. If ever.. So as she prepared her medical bag, gathering the tools that she'd need for the journey, the young female would take a moment to allow for a sense of peace to wash over her. Much like Kazuto had taught her. This was her first mission in months...and even then..they had been regulated to being in the village itself. Going out was a bit daunting, but she knew she were capable of handing it with no problem. It was all about getting details and ensuring that a solution was found. With her proceeding toward the entrance, the young brunette would slowly rub the palm of her hands together, releasing a slow breath before turning to wait for the escort who was to come with her on this venture. And the escort would soon arrive!

Dropping down from a roof with grace and almost no sound at all, a young Hyuga stretched and dusted off his blue and red leather outfit before approaching.

"Hello Hello? Would you be...hmmmm...Adachi Miho?" The jounin asked with a warm smile on his face. "Yusaku Hyuga. I'm the guy supposed to help you out with this. Nice to meet you." He added, extending a hand to shake hers.

"Alrighty, so, back to business. You're a medic right? Do we know what's going on around here? Uuuh, actually, do you need to grab anything? You can brief me while we get to the place."

Inner peace.....inner peace.... The sudden drop of an object near by was quick to draw the woman's attention, her hand held close to her chest, yet the other seemed reared as if in preparation. Though upon hearing her name being addressed, the medic would then release a breath. So much for that... Seeing the warm smile, the Jounin would introduce himself, prompting Miho to do the same as she extended her hand in his direction. "Its nice to meet you so...sorry if I appear a bit jumpy..it's been some time since I've been out in the field...Thank you for coming..." With a sheepish grin, the female would shake her head in hearing his question of if she needed anything, prompting her to then adjust the strap of her bag upon her shoulder, soon nodding her head as she began to make her way forward. "I only have a theory...apparently there is a virus that is making it's way through some of the livestock in the countryside..while not a serious threat...yet, there is some concern that it very well spread to the rest of the herds and some of the farmers are getting restless as to what is the cause..." Agriculture wasn't her field...growing anything was a struggle for her, as her fiancé would be happy to remind her. Still, if there was a connection between this and to some medical means of stopping it, she'd try her best. "Our job is to investigate it and to try and ease any tension that might be growing within that area...and...with any luck...hope that it is simply a fluke and nothing more dire..." Yusaku quietly listened to what the medical professional had to say.

"Livestock infection? Like mad cow disease? Man, the cause of it could be really anything." The ANBU mumbled, thinking if he had seen anything of the sort back at base before he changed into normal clothes to find Miho. "We didn't have anything on cattle pandemics at base. Might need to look further into this." Yusaku thought.

For now, the young Hyuga would simply follow Miho around to Heiwa and the countryside. No reason to grow impatient. They didn't even know if this disease thing even existed. It could be just an old grumpy farmer going mad after staying out in the sun too much. Still, it was a weird situation to be in. The circumstances of it, at the very very least.

Yusaku fumbled in his back pouch. Yeah, the scroll with his Anbu uniform was there. He had left it in. He did not think he would have to fight, let alone wear it in a flash and do things as his alter ego Myobu but you know...never say never and better be prepared.

"If that happens to be the case, then its not simply the animals themselves that we need concern ourselves with...but indeed the farmers..." Miho would cup her hand beneath her face, leading to her closing her eyes as she continued to move forward. The idea that this could indeed be such a degenerative disease at work was horrifying. Especially if it had already begun to spread throughout the live-stock. More than that, if it had already been within the system of production, it was possible that anyone could have easily consumed beef that was infected. Have to check for indicators of such a fact...for now..I can not allow myself to focus simply on that possibility... Walking along the road, the young woman would then look in the direction of the Hyuga. "In any case, is this your first operation out within Hiewa? I can only say that I've been out there once, and it was in passing while headed to another place..." It was one of the few places that was on the road to the Land of Snakes, so the young girl had come upon it during her Sage Training. SPOILER: Click to show

Yusaku looked down at the little medic out of courtesy. He could see her anyway, but eye contact was something rather important during conversations for non-Hyugas.

"I just passed by the village once, when I went out to meet the Snake Sage." The ANBU answered, trying to make up his mind to see if he remembered something else. "I have been in a number of other places, tho I have to say I never had the opportunity nor time to visit the place. It's really a shame such a calamity would threaten a small settlement such as this one" The Hyuga added, satisfied with his reply.

Next up, the actual problem Miho had brough up. "Yeah, we can't exclude that anyone in contact with the infected animals or have eaten their meat is safe. For all we know, they could possibly be asymptomatic carriers of the disease. Or the thing itself could behave differently in humans. Virii are inherently chaotic and prone to mutations."

Yusaku sighed. "I don't really know much other than the basic jounin training and first aid stuff. I hope my Byakugan will aid you more than I can do for myself, eheh..." He hated to admit it, but without his white eyes there was very little he could do to help with a medical examination.

"I'd imagine that will be enough...that and we need to proceed with caution the closer we come to the village itself..that means masks and gloves at all time..." Her smile remained as she spoke, though her tone was serious on that instruction. Though in truth, such an idea was common knowledge when dealing with any bacteria or viral infection, or even blood for that matter. Yet, it was worth noting, as she could see something coming upon their path in the distance. It certainly didn't take long to recognize a dead bovine, prompting the young female to reach into her pouch to draw out a face mask as she began to put on her gloves. "First contact with possible infected subject..." As she began to examine the creature, its eyes red and mucus seeming to dribble down it's nostrils, Miho would release a breath as she began to inspect it's tongue, seeing the pale complexion of it as she then shook her head. "At least it appears that no one else has been here yet...though from the symptoms I can see, it looks that it could be parasitic..." Miho would look over the cow once more, soon seeing the village just over the hill and the muffled noises of people seeming to be in a disagreement. SPOILER: Click to show

Yusaku gave the young medic a nod of his head. Yeah, keep proper etiquette as well as protection. He would not want to get infected with anything, let alone whatever this thing was. Showing his hands to the small lady, Yusaku smiled.

"Well as you can see, I already have my hands all goved up. Leather gloves no less. As per masks, I have a couple of them in my satchel. I knew they would have come in handy."

He would slow down and look ahead as soon as Miho informed him there was something ahead. In all the talking he had forgot to do a quick scan of the area with his white eyes. Walking up to Miho and standing to her left, Yusaku decided to finally get that check going. Veins bulged, gaze hardened and eyes focused.

"Yeah, I don't see anyone around us. No signs of people coming or leaving." He confirmed her assessments. He tried to not look at the dead cow too much. Damn that infection was nasty. He just hoped the poor animal just went to his maker without too much pain or suffering. He would also hope Miho would already have some knowledge on the pathogen as well as the cure needed to get this thing in check.

"Perhaps that means that they've all gathered as stated in the reports to try and confirm just what it was that caused this..." Miho would then rise up from the fallen cow, feeling some sympathy for the animal as she rose up to her feet. The village was only a short trip away at this point, seeing the water mill as she began to look over toward the Hyuga as she continued forward. "This is something that has to do with a pathogen introduced into the system from a source...it isn't a poison per say. But someone had to introduce it in order for it to have spread so far..." Miho was still under the assumption that this was an attack, but why would anyone do such an act? Just for profit against a competitor? This was a threat that could easily spread out and hurt everyone. As they drew closer to the village, Yusaku's observation from their previous position was accurate. No one was coming or going. If anything, it appeared as if everyone had held themselves within their homes as to avoid infection. At least they were properly quarantined. Save for a group that appeared in deep argument, farmers in heavy debate as one seemed to be pointing a dagger, and another holding up a pitch-fork. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT KYOJI!!" "THIS AIN'T GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH MY COWS FU!" "Um...excuse me?" Miho would attempt to interrupt, hoping that it would deescalate the situation by focusing upon something else. "Greetings...We were sent to investigate the..." "STAY OUTTA THIS LITTLE GIRL! I'LL BE HAVING A WORD OR TWO WITH FU HERE!!" A blank expression came over her face, prompting the teen to sigh as she began to move forward, seeing the dagger held within the man's hand as she then took hold of it's edge, crushing it swiftly between her fingertips. What Miho spoke of was some pretty baller implications. Holy hell. Yusaku did not like that one bit. His gaze got a little more serious as they came up to the village. With one hand, he reached for his satchel. Thankfully, the two scrolls inside were there. He knew the whole thing could get ugly, so he had come prepared. He really would have to thank Kusagakure for sharing some of their medical expertise with the rest of them. Especially when they sent out a shipment of Sealed Scrolls containing some state of the art Hazmat suits.

Yusaku observed Miho try to talk to the locals. Instead of intervening, he watched as she just shattered metal with a finger. That was quite the chakra control she had there. Impressive for just a genin. She might even surpass him, a Hyuga of all people.

"Before we go and try to talk again in a more relaxed manner..." He started, taking out and handing over one of the lime green scrolls over to his partner. "...It's probably better if we take some time to change up in these suits." The jounin stated. "Kusagakure made these. Hazmats. Specifically designed for shinobi field work. They aren't rated for rads or heavy stuff but I'd rather have a nice layer of hard rubber between me and whatever's affecting these poor cows once we'll be out there taking samples." 

He would pause for a moment, addressing the two quarrelling villagers this time. He was more than sure his white eyes would do their magic of looking imposing while active and grant him precious seconds of the villager's attention to hopefully get them to collaborate.

"My name's Hyuga Yusaku." He introduced himself to the pair of men with a slight bow of his head. "And my associate here is Doctor Adachi Miho." He waved towards the petite lady. "We have been sent on these premises by the Hokage to investigate the infectious disease that's creating problem to your cattle. Now, if you'd be so kind as to point us to a place where we could change up our clothes and wear these Hazmat suits..." He waved the sealed scroll in his hand up to call attention to it. "We would be more than happy to hear you out on what your problem might be, as well as actually going out there to fix it."

Yusaku paused, hoping the yelling wouldn't resume. "Not to mention that the more you coopoerate with us, the faster we will be able to cure those poor animals."

Miho would watch as the shinobi would draw out a scroll, explaining the designed uniform in which was to be used to protect them from contamination. Perhaps a better idea than the use of facial masks alone if this was already airborne within the fields. As he continued to explain their reasoning for being in the area, Miho would nod in agreement with him, seeing the more than expressive reaction from the farmers before one pointed toward an barn close by. Bowing her head respectfully, Miho would begin to walk over to it with the Hyuga nin, looking at him as she began to speak. "Considering their temperament, we should expect them to be quite resistant in responding to any questioning on this matter. As far as it shows, neither one of them are likely responsible for the virus..." In reaching their location, the young female would then blink as she looked over the green parchment with a calm expression. "Also...are these standard issue for most specialist shinobi or did you come about this on your own?" Her brow raised, Miho would hold a small smile on her face before then gesturing for him to go first to change. "I'll go next..I still want to take a look at the food supply close by to see if it differs in their levels of content..." SPOILER: Click to show

Yusaku thanked the two for the directions and went on his merry way, for now. He would look down as Miho asked him more stuff about the suits he had brought.

"Well, in Kusa, yeah. These seem to be pretty common there. I have had the pleasure of conducting some joint training and missions with Kusagakure's shinobi force and I have to say their medical division is quite something. They are...really good. Really cuttin edge." The jounin answered. "They regularly trade us some supplies, last thing being these suits. Apparently they had an overflow in production, or so I had been told." He added, breaking the seal and unfurling the scroll. He would give her an understanding nod before disappearing inside the barn to change up. The whole thing would take him around five minutes to suit up into, mostly cause he had to seal his normal clothing into the same scroll for safekeeping.

When he walked back out, the Hyuga was covered from head to toe by a smooth layer of shiny, sterile green rubber. The hazmat suit had a zipper on the front and various metal rings on legs and armd which would either keep the hazmat tightly sealed or allow rapid decoupling if the need arised. Still on the front, letters spelling "BIOHAZARD" were stamped near the zipper and around waist height.

Yusaku's mouth and nose were covered by a face mask that had two small filters on each cheek, one of which was connected to the camel-like backpack of the suit with a tube.

The backpack itself was secured through two belts ending in metallic locks on the jounin's shoulders, lightly inflating and deflating as the shinobi shinobi breathed. On his lower back, the suit also had two integrated satchels to store all kinds of tools, considering that it had no pockets. Meanwhile, his eyes and ears were covered by a pair of heavy goggles and ear covers respectively.

Finally, although he was already in a full rubber bodysuit, the Hyuga had slipped on both a pair of gloves and a pair of open toed boots, which looked to still be made of rubber albeit thicker and a darker shade of green, matching the suit's knee and arm padding.

Yusaku stretched lighly and took a few steps towards Miho, waving at her to let her know it was her turn to change up. He didn't seem to have any problem moving around. His mobility hadn't been impacted much if at all.

"Hey Miho, how's it going with the analysis?" His voice was coming off slightly muffled but still very much easy to understand. "Oh! Before you go gear up: Once you release the scroll, you get three things. The suit itself; the gloves/ hard rubber soled boots to put over it and the backpack." He listed off, pointing at each one of them.

"First you wear the suit, then you grab the goggles and cover your eyes. After that, get the backpack and hook it up on your back. Mask's filter should also click into place. Then, you just slip on gloves and boots over the suit's integrated ones for extra protection aaaand thats about it."

He twirled around  to show her the complete result. "How do I look? It's a lil tight but all in all this thing is quite stretchyso don't worry about tearing." He asked. Considering it was the first time he had ever used that kind of equipment Yusaku was definitely curious about it.

"One final thing, the camelback backpack works like a big rebreather-filter thingy in tandem with the mask filters. We ain't got an oxygen tank but it should let us walk around for a couple of hours in highly contaminated areas without trouble." He would add before he'd forget.

"I'll leave you to it, I'll wait here. Once you're done we can go back to the villagers and see if we can coerce them in giving us some intel we can use to solve this mess. Hopefully."

As Yusaku made way inside to change, the medic would begin her investigation, keeping her hands covered with latex gloves as she began to inspect the food storage of the animals. Honestly, she had the theory that if it had been introduced to the animals in any way, it was likely through consumption. Airborne had been one possibility, but if it had been, the farmers would likely be under the same illness as their livestock. Yet as she drew closer to the supply of feed, her breath was released in a sigh. "Nothing out of sorts...perhaps it isn't the food...but it had to be introduced in some way to cause such a rapid state of decay..." Remembering the cow from before, her eyes would narrow just as the Hyuga nin returned. Though now, within a more than appropriate attire....or at least...for the situation. As Miho looked him up and down, her gaze grew wide, holding back a bit of a giggle as he looked like something that should have appeared a much more horrific genre. "Oh dear...." Shaking her head, she'd smile before reaching down to retrieve her scroll from the ground, placing it beneath her arm as she began to move forward. "Nothing so far that would explain where it started from..I thought it might be the feed, but there isn't any trace of tampering...It has to be something that all of the cattle have access too...." As he stopped to explain the pieces of the suit, he'd ask how he looked within it personally, leading to Miho raising her brow as she coughed slightly. "Well...I do admit that I now see why Kazuto seems to like such things...aside from their..practicality…" Smirking as she walked by, she'd then stop once more as he began to give one final bit a detail. A breather that would allow for oxygen if they were to come upon a more contaminated area, though she questioned if such a addition would be required. Still, it was an option of safety if the need arrived. In making her way into the barn, she'd then disappear from sight. Of course, this would allow for one of the supposed farmers to appear next to Yusaku, his expression narrowed as he began to speak. "Hey...you're one of them Shinobi right? I've got some information that might help ya figure out whats goin on with the cows..." SPOILER: Click to show

"If it's not the food, then maybe the water?" The jounin followed on her assessment. If the food hadn't been touched, perhaps someone was poisoning the water supply? "I mean, that is something I would do if I wanted to get to a good number of target. Not only cattle but you know. People too."

Then, Yusaku couldn't help it but blush at her teasing, completely glossing over the fact Miho knew Kazuto. Well...at least he wasn't looking like some sort of weirdo. He could definitely spare himself the hassle of looking ridiculous  right there.

Turning his head around as someone called to him, he let Miho get her turn to change. It was one of the villagers, offering information. Well well, perhaps getting intel was not going to be as hard as the medic had initially thought.

"Yeah, I'm here.Thank you for earlier. Now that I'm geared up, I can get onto the problem as soon as my partner's back." He agreed. "Alright, I'm all yours, let's hear what you have to say. You can call me Yusaku by the way. Nice to meet you."

He faced the other man, ready to take in whatever he was going to tell him. Of course, he wasn't going to straight up believe everything, but at least he could take some mental notes and discuss them with Miho later.

"Fu...Mighty kind of ya to be so open to it...It may seem like we're a bit high strung, but its only cause this place is our livelihood and none of us want nothin to happen to it..." Fu would see that Miho was no longer with them, the young woman now having gone to change within the barn. Still, the farmer would narrow his eyes as he turned to Yusaku with a serious expression. "Anywho...listen...it ain't no secret that Kyou wanted to run me outta town the moment I started out-shipping him! The old bastard been barely hangin on since the loss of his wife and been lookin for any reason to try and lash out!" It was certainly an odd concept to believe that a man in grief would be interested in murder...even more so in doing so to someone means of profit and the very means of providing for Hi no Kuni… "Kyou is the one you want! If ya just shake em up a little, he'll sing like a bird! He ain't a bad man, but hes just a bit looney!" As the young man spoke, he'd soon note the arrival of footsteps, prompting to the figure emerging from the barn within the lime green suit. Her features were certainly covered over, and her voice was much more raspy beneath the mask that covered her face. "I've been thinking about your idea...water would be the more convenient route to...oh! Hello again!" Waving in the man's direction, she'd tilt her head to the side as she then gazed over at Yusaku.
