@all The chuunin exams were something that happened twice every year, but that didn't necessarily mean that everybody attended every single one. Yamato was a prime example of this, having missed quite a few since the last one he visited. This time, however, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to go, and for two very big reasons. The first one was of a more personal matter, but the second was to commemorate his recent promotion to the rank of Special Jounin. He had had a party back in Kusagakure of course, but what better way to follow up that celebration than with the most exciting event the shinobi world had to offer? As he strolled through the streets of Byakuya, gawking at all the exciting things to do and see, he heard a familiar voice just ahead and to the side. Yamato gently picked up his pace, trotting around the corner and decisively putting a face to the familiar voice, a bright smile flashing onto his face as he finished closing the distance. "5 Ryo!? How do you plan on surviving if you just give away your services for basically free Chieko?"It was just some slight teasing on his part, but with a nugget of truth buried inside. While the blacksmith looked pretty much the same as the last time he had seen her, Yamato himself would have undergone quite a bit of a wardrobe change since their last encounter. Gone were all the fancy bells and whistles attached to his attire, and in their place only functionality. His cloak was pure black, inside and out, and the clothes underneath with just as plain and monochromatic, with the top being a light gray shade and the bottoms a darker one. If it wasn't clear from the Kusagakure headband, then his flak jacket would only support the image that he was a shinobi. A sharp set of eyes would be able to tell that it was a custom variant of the typical jacket though, this one sporting less padding and armor with the tradeoff of having several more pouches and pockets for holding things, with all of Yamato's clearly filled. And of course there was his signature Hokan no Hon [ x], the purple book held tightly in his hand though it was a bit difficult to see as it was partially covered by his cloak. After giving Chieko a slight jab, Yamato's eyes turned to the well-covered girl just opposite of the blacksmith. It was impossible not too, considering that she was the one Chieko had been speaking to, as well as the fact she was possessed a ridiculous amount of seals. As a fuuinjutsu specialist, Yamato had developed a sensory ability to detect these sort of things, and he had long sensed this girl's presence before his approach. He couldn't tell where exactly she was keeping it all, as there weren't any visible scrolls or pouches of paper tags, but it was a simple matter for him to assume that it was the Karada Fuuinjutsu technique, or at least something similar. "Heya! You know, she really oughtta charge you more, she's one of the best blacksmiths Nohara no Kuni has to offer!"
With the same smile and cheery tone as before, Yamato greeted the stranger, deciding to not bring up the seal issue for the time being. This was the chuunin exams after all, and it was more than natural to encounter shinobi during the festivities. Extra notes;Relevant SA: Sealing Sensor Unlike a traditional sensory type shinobi, Yamato has instead developed the ability to detect the exact locations of fuuinjutsu in an area around him, as well as when they have been activated.
Passively, Yamato can sense the locations of fuuinjutsu within a 300 meter radius of his person.
Actively, by utilizing more chakra, Yamato can detect fuuinjutsu within a 1km radius of his person, as well as sensing how much chakra was used to create the seal.
