Don’t just weather the storm. Dance in it. ❧ Once the candle was lit and burning bright, Kazui would set it off to the side of the desk. Far enough for it to be out of the way, but also far enough away from the edge just in case it were to tip over and fall someway somehow. Nevertheless, as the flames continued to flicker in the background, Kazui would reach past the group of novels that were neatly organized on the workspace. The novels were all best sellers, very boring books to most, some even considered them reads that you would normally find a wealthy old businessman delving in. Still, the teen decided to not read them, instead she would grab ahold of this rather colorful book, a children’s book titled - The Girl Who Could.
It was a simple read, something that was uncommon for Kazui. There was a reason she chose this book in particular, it was something that her grandmother used to read to her before things took a turn for the worst. It was about a young girl, much like Kazui, who decided she would chase her dreams regardless of what was thrown her way. The book was very repetitive, yet Kazui found it somewhat entertaining. However, before she could even finish the book, she would find herself growing tired and would crawl into her bed. She was then at peace, bidding the world a goodnight as she drifted away into slumber.
