CE Round 3 "Here we go....I hope Asahi-san is out there...." Moment Music The very air was pulsating to the point that the girl felt that she might very well pass out as she walked into the arena. There were so many people out there, so much noise that it was rattling the very ground itself as if there were a stampede. Looking around her, Ayukawa felt the butterflies in her stomach start to rise to the point that she might burp them into existence. Yet, the long walk did allow for her to see the thrill of all this in one setting. She was actually here...she was in the third round of the Chunin exams...she had made it! Well...barely made it, but she had taken her friends advice to heart and wasn't going to look back to the past when she needed to look forward. This wasn't the time for that. Within hearing her name being called out by the proctor, the girl would jump up as she raised her hand into the air, a bright grin resting upon her face as she giddily made her way to her side of the ring. The opponent she would be facing was someone she had met before in the second round. The two had worked together with the others to secure their place here, but now they were going to be challenging one another in a fight. It was something that they had all somewhat known was going to happen, but in the back of her mind the girl had hoped that maybe they'd just get to do another team exercise again. Such was not the case clearly... As she waited for Ryoko to enter as well, the dark haired female would begin to bounce up and down, stretching her limbs out as she shook her head with a smile on her face. Glorious! With Sayua’s fight over Ryoko was as hyped up as she could be. She’d spent next to no time sitting on the bench, instead up on her feet the whole time and often leaning over and against the retaining wall holding the combatants in the ring. Hooting and hollering like some fool, she’d been a most vocal and active supporter of her squadmate. A cheerleader through and through, she had little sense of shame behind the broad grin of the hood she wore.

Truth be told she’d come close to getting tired just from her constant bouncing and cheering, but she had less shame than she did restraint, and she had little of that when she got excited. Team work insisted she intervene in fights, but she bit her mental tongue and kept her strings in check. No use getting someone kicked out, that’d be bad.

The lull between the rounds was just enough for her to mostly catch her breath. She’d return to the bench to check on her Doomstar, the massive shuriken she’d carefully leaned against a wall well behind the bench. Four blades made the big X four feet across, and so she tended to store it somewhere it wouldn’t hurt people. Seeing it safe she’d get a few gulps of water in, soothing her throat for more shouting along with the crowd in the next bout.

She’d just about choke on her water when she heard her name called out.

She panics for a moment, coughing and wheezing as water seeks out lungs instead of stomach, but in the moment she didn’t much care. Coughing still she takes a few steps back, clearing her throat some and kinda wavering in place for a moment. She shakes her head to clear it and points a finger at the Doomstar in the distance.

The next moment she turns, coughing once, and jogs out into the arena. She’d been dying to get out here, just stepping past the threshold that had marked her as a screaming spectator and not a combatant was the supreme rush of her young life. As she jogs the Doomblade simply follows her, lifting up about 30 feet and gliding effortlessly through the air. She lifts her arm up as the massive thing arrives at her location, and easily catches the dangerous thing in her hand.

By the time she reaches the center with Ayu and the proctor she is actively laughing at herself, still coughing and clearing her throat, but otherwise giving the proctor a good solid thumbs up. She was ready. She lowers the Doomstar until the central crux is resting over her right shoulder, bracing it ever so gently with her hand against the flat of the downward pointing blade in front of her.

"Ay” cough.. Ahem! "Ayukawa! Ha, awesome, I get to play with Sleeping Beauty.” She flashes a wide and teasing grin at the girl. Her sleepiness during the previous round had done a good job at concealing what Ayukawa could do, so Ryo was walking into this blind. Still, she had no fear. She was always prone to showing off her skills, and letting her blade follow her in was only the first bit of showing off she was preparing for.

Cough. Ahem!

She clears her throat one last time, seeming to finally get the coughing under control. Only then does she cast her eyes around again, taking in the massive arena and crowd from its center.  She easily tosses her Doomblade aside, lifts both her arms, and yells back at the cheering crowd!

CE Round 3 "Okay...thats just awesome!!" It seemed like everyone was in mad uproar over the display of Ryoko's mysterious ability to control and summon her weapon from a great distance. This even left Ayukawa dumbstruck as she seemed to look on with glee, before then shaking off her excitement as she heard her apparently new nickname of "sleeping beauty", leading to her pouting slightly as she narrowed her eyes. "Sheesh! One time and people are now giving me a nickname! I don't sleep that much ya know?! Heh heh" With a snicker and a giggle, Ayukawa would then look over toward the proctor as it appeared as if he were ready to let them begin, a calm expression crossing over the youth's face as she soon let herself get into position and readied herself as she placed herself within an defensive stance. "I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what else ya can do!" With the two girls apparently ready to begin, there was soon to be a signal from the proctor in charge of the proceedings, leading to the match being able to go underway. Ayukawa was able to figure out one thing from the female, but that still left a lot of the imagination. There was going to be a lot to discover during this event, but Ayukawa was willing to bet that she'd have to be able to adapt to better handle what came her way. As the start of the match came, the crowd cheering loudly as it echoed throughout the arena, Ayukawa would make the first move, a wide grin rising from her cheeks as she swiftly threw two smoke bombs from her pouch, allowing them to fly forward. This would be followed by two shuriken that appeared to be on the same path. As the four objects collided into each other, the girl would allow for the screen of smoke to block out any vision of her from the shinobi's sight, allowing for the cloud to protect her movements as she seemed to vanish as her movements were covered. Animalistic encounters have allowed her to track and be capable of following those that she intends to target, at times giving her brief, but small insight into their intentions. While not fully developed, they allow for her to be less than likely to be caught off guard in a extreme moment, but it isn't as developed as one with further experience in the art. In the Jungle To survive in the desert, one must be able to keep up with not just the prey, but also to outrun the wild predators as well. Ayukawa training and life in the wilderness and vast landscape has prepared her for such events. Her genetics in relation to the Saeko Clan have given her an edge in physical combat, along with making her much more agile. Living out in the desert has also made her incredibly durable due to the intense environment surrounding her, along with possessing a high amount of physical stamina. -Items Used- Shuriken: x2 Smoke bombs: x2

Her response to the teasing gets a friendly and amused chuckle from the girl, just as happy to find someone with a sense of humor as someone without. After basking in the roar of the crowd for a moment she turns her attention back to Ayukawa.

She sweeps an arm over in the direction of her dropped weapon, and immediately it responds to her will. It lifts off the ground and floats easily to her once more. She gives a casual wave of her right arm to the left and the thing rolls like a bicycle wheel ahead of her, standing up vertical and spinning as it moves from one side to the other. An easy wave from left to right brings it back, rolling like a wheel but still remaining inches from ever touching the ground.

"You’re one of those really nice people I’ve heard about, aren’t you? Don’t really get to meet a lot of em, so it’s an honor. Lemme tell you, I only have a couple tricks, but this one.” She points her left hand at her right hand as it controls the weapon for emphasis. "Well, let me be nice too. This is my family’s art, and it does it all. And with the Doomstar.. I mean, it’s not really fair. My control is also not limited to this thing. Really, if it's not nailed down, I own it.”

She passes control of the massive thing from her right to her left hand, showing off the ambidextrous nature of her art, literally miming the action of tossing something from one hand to the next. She smiles beneath her hood and simply stands her ground as the match begins. She can see Ayukawa searching for an opening.. It’d be rough, that massive cross stood between them, and it was truly a dangerous hunk of steel.

As Ayukawa reaches for her pouch, Ryo mimics the action. She comes forth with a scroll, however, drawing it from the pouch on her right leg. The Doomstar could block any projectiles she threw, she figured, so she wasn’t too concerned, however when it turned out to be smoke bombs she was more delighted. Sure sure, that was all well and good.

The smoke bursts around the pair, obfuscating both from the other’s vision. Fighting blind wasn’t exactly in her skillset, but it didn’t need to be. First things first, though. Scroll in hand she unfurls it, the unmistakable pops of items being released from it sounding off in the smoke. A moment later there’s something much worse. In the blinding gray, in the thick cloud of fog, would suddenly rise a horrid whine.

Like some terrible lawn mower blades would begin to spin, coming up to speed very quickly. The sound they made was impossible to miss, rivaling the din of the crowd for audible dominance of the area. She positions them carefully, flanking herself on three sides like little walls, the Mercystars held on the vertical like a wall. More importantly, the moment they started spinning they would also be speeding up the dissipation of the smoke bomb. The area didn’t clear up immediately, but vision would return sooner instead of later this way.

DESCRIPTION:

The user of this technique attaches one or more chakra threads to one or more items, and takes control of them. These items may appear to animate, and be made to move in any fashion and any direction the user wishes. This force may also be used to push against stationary objects to brace them, to catch things that are falling, or really to affect motion in any way into any solid thing(grasping gases and liquids is an ill advised waste of effort). The amount of chakra required for this jutsu depends on how many strings are being used at a time. If only half of a user’s strings are in use, then only half of the needed chakra would be used.

DESCRIPTION:

Though Shiso Ido is able to turn objects about and spin then as the user wishes, they can only do so, so fast. With this technique the user forces an object in their control to rotate faster and faster. Within a few moments a sword can be made to spin so fast it can appear little more than a blurry disc of cutting steel. Objects spinning as such are exceptionally dangerous, however in order to keep them spinning the user of shiso ido must continue to pay for both this jutsu and shiso ido itself each post. Once this jutsu ends, objects quickly return to a much less dangerous speed of rotation.

This jutsu does nothing to enhance an object's cutting power, however the speed which it spins the object increases its force. Bladed objects become like spinning saw blades, cutting easily through flesh and bone, even wood. If an item is strong enough it could even be used to cut through hardened stone and steel, though that would be a benefit from the object being moved, and not from this jutsu itself.

CE Round 3 "Ayukawa could only watch this display and be astounded by it. It appeared as if the girl had managed to summon even more weapons to her side, this time covering her front and sides to keep from getting caught off-guard from three points. Even if Ayukawa wasn't already impressed by such a feat as controlling weapons with just a thought, this alone was starting to get her blood pumping. Keeping herself close to the rock in which she had cover, it was starting seem like the smoke itself was starting to get cleared up swiftly by the rotating of the spinning weapons. Before long, the woman would have the opening in which to see her, and the girl would be in the open. She had to find a way to trick the female up, that way, she could close in and get at her from the range she knew best. Though how she'd intend on doing this was still in question. The teen had only one smoke bomb left, and she likely would need it for later. Not to mention that she could only see one way to get at her, which would be from the back. Looking around from her hidden position, that was when a bold idea came to mind, one that likely would work...maybe...she wasn't sure. In the end, it was worth the risk as she performed one set of five hand seals, soon following it up with one more set of three as she soon caused a clone of herself to appear. It wasn't exactly the most believable thing in the world, but it might work with the still dissipating smoke to aid it. As she signaled for the figment to charge in, Ayukawa would allow herself to reach into her pouch again, thinking back to what she had seen Kazui do during the exams. Tying a thin line of wire to it, she'd soon toss a kunai in the direction following the clone, hoping the deception of attack would work as she waited for the clash between the illusion of herself and that of her thrown projectile. With the clone closing in, it would attempt to throw a punch in the female's direction, looking as if she were attempting to charge right at her directly. Normally something like a Bunshin clone would never fool the experienced genin for more than a split second. They were too flimsy, to pale, lacked the definition of real people, and more importantly lacked shadows. In the thinning haze of the smoke screen, however, such details were harder to pick up on. Spying the girl in the distance she shifts her footing to better face in that direction.

Her left hand forms a little first and lowers down to her left side, seizing control of the golden mercystar. Her right hand reaches out, waving the silver and the black forward on their assault. Both of them level out, shifting from vertical walls to horizontal blades, and continue spinning as they race along towards the oncoming clone, rushing to intercept before she can close into melee range. She guides both of them over with a pointing index finger, giving her wrist a little flop and tug to her left. At the same time she extends her pinky, separating the two weapons. One moves to block in front of the eager clone, lifting back up vertically to be a wall, while the silver one swings in flat in a flanking arc around Ayu's right, then in to assault her from the side.

Whether or not they connect they should prove a fine distraction, however in spite of appearances Ryo is no fool. Her left hand maintains control over the golden Mercystar, letting it take up a position just behind her, completely protecting her rear. She only had 1 star with her, so she could only protect her rear, but she rarely left herself completely undefended. It let her have her back to a wall, so to speak, even if it was a small wall.

As the smoke continues to dissipate the battlefield becomes more clear once more. Her eyes seek out any other sources of motion, searching for hidden clones, or for hidden actual shinobi. Never take the battlefield for granted. The big rocks were the only place she could hide, unless she too held the doton element. There was always the chance Ayu was already below ground, waiting to ambush her.

Her mind races over the possibilities, this always being the best part of the game. What they could do, what they couldn’t do. Each new ninja was a whole new experience. As always, though, Ryo finds herself taking some steps back to keep some distance between herself and the assaulting taijutsu expert. Just a few meters, just enough for room to react.

CE Round 3 "Ayukawa had expected for her to go for the clone, but she also seemed to take out her other target as well... While a well placed diversion, it didn't help that now her cloud screen was gone and now there was no were left for her to hide save for the rocks. But now she had two openings in which to use...how? This would be the tricky part. As a huntress, she was taught to recognize opportunities when they were presented and how to make those openings happen. The position of her own kunai was still in the air, allowing for a strike that could easily come from above. Of course, there was one lone thing that the girl had left unaccounted for... And it was the very thing that the girl had spouted about at the very beginning... The Doomblade... It had been cast aside at the start of her smoke screen attack, now idle behind her not too far away. It only took a moment for her to realize this as a opening, but she needed to wait...Wait for her to make such a move to allow her to be more open. Now she had it... With the clone having been able to phase through such an attack, the girl would seem to vanish upon the impact as if she were never there, which she hadn't. But with Ryo now checking her surroundings, and her body still facing away from the unused weapon, Ayukawa used this as her moment to strike. Within moments, her position was changed, and the blade was now in the position of cover behind the rock, while the real Ayukawa was now in it's previous place. Applying chakra to her lower limbs, the young girl would race over to her position, cutting the distance swiftly as she wrapped her leg around the girl's weapon wielding arm, locking it in place as she looked at her briefly before slamming the blunt of her elbow against her exposed facial features. A clone, huh? The mercystar passes easily through the construct, dispersing it instantly. Alone on the battlefield? Well, that didn’t seem to likely. Ryo did not know where the huntress was hiding, but she could tell she wasn’t standing in front of her.

Ryo draws her right hand back, pulling the two mercy stars back in her direction as she gives a look behind her. Thankfully she still had the golden mercy star between herself and her opponent.

"Whoa!” She shouts with surprise, barely a second to react as the girl comes rushing in. She lifts herself up on one foot to spin around and better face the girl, even as her left hand reaches out for the Mercystar behind her. Spinning as it was, it comes to a dead stop the moment her fingers are close enough to graze its surface. Stopping it was probably a godsend for the Ayukawa, the horrible thing able to smash bones to pieces, but it’d stop only moments before she came crashing in.

She squeals with both surprise and pain, as her wrist and then elbow are grabbed and she’s pulled more off balance. She’s suddenly tangled up with the girl, and far closer than she had ever wanted to be. She topples over, forced to the ground by the taijutsu fighter, but still stuck with four wooden blades sticking out in every which direction between them. She tries to use it for cover, but it was no luck. She was pretty well pinned.

There’s a rather sickening thud as meat impacts meat, but beyond a breath and gritting teeth she doesn’t make a sound. A second later she’s growling in the girl’s ear.

"Get offa me!”

All her other weapons fall limp to the ground as she detaches her strings, gathering up her strength and attaching to the wooden shuriken. It didn’t matter if she was bound, didn’t matter if she was grappled. All of her strings attach to the hunk of wood between them, and all of her might is brought to bear.

Ryoko is weak, her physical body putty in Ayu’s hands. She can’t fight back against the taijutsu user’s strength, but the force of her will is never to be underestimated. With force far beyond a genin’s capability she pushes on the Mercystar. Her free arm reaches out, fingers curling as power builds up behind them. She pushes, hard, and the wood between them would begin to force Ayukawa away from her.

It pushed with remarkable strength, easily as strong as the typical taijutsu user, but Ryo was a little desperate. She poured chakra, and strength into it. There’d be little Ayu could do if she couldn’t match Ryo’s mental might with physical strength of her own, and at the moment Ryo was working with heavily increased strength. Slow and sure she would use the piece of wood to force Ayukawa off of her, literally lifting the girl into the air to push her back, and the moment she was free she’d release the jutsu.

A single hand seal was all she’d need from there, and in a puff of smoke she’d be gone.

Off in the distance she’d appear again, standing atop one of the larger rocks, well outside of the danger zone. Body flicker, clearly. She left behind all her weapons and was standing there empty handed, but, perhaps more importantly, the huntress had left her mark. Blood now leaked from her nose down past her mouth to her chin, showing the force the impact had. She was ever so slightly dazed, but thankfully practice being beaten with sticks helped her get used to it.

"That was good!” She shouts across the distance, reaching into her pouch as she does. She pulls out another scroll. If she was in pain (which she certainly was!) she was doing a good job at concealing it. She sounded a little strained, but her voice still held its normal cheerful and teasing edge. She mutters the last few words while unfurling the scroll. "Ow.. ya know?”

10 windmill shuriken are released from the scroll as she unrolls it, all of them collecting at the ground around the rock she stood atop.

DESCRIPTION:

Tapping on the deepest reserves of their inner strength, this jutsu is only called upon when great mass and great weight is needed to be moved. In such a case, the user attaches all of their chakra strings to a single object. Infusing it with extra chakra, the user is able to double their lifting capacity. Only a single object may be controlled with this jutsu, and the object moves at half the user’s maximum speed, however this jutsu can lead to some very impressive feats in telekinesis.

Shunshin no Jutsu [Body Flicker Technique]

CE Round 3 "Woahhhh!!!" Ayukawa was caught off-guard by the surprising strength in which Ryo held to be able to release herself from her lock. But in doing so, she did allow the girl even more insight into just what was going on here. It wasn't simply mental strength, but of course that was clear to anyone that wasn't Ayukawa, but there was something else. With her keen insight, she did note the strings that seemed to attach themselves to the weapon, prompting her with enough force to push the girl off and send her into the air. Yet, with her graceful demeanor, the girl would land back upon her feet, though nearly falling over onto her bottom upon landing. It was a work in progress, but the girl was still very well balanced. As if seemed as though the woman had disappeared, leaving her weapons scattered across the ground, she'd soon hear her voice from atop one of the rock, his demeanor seeming to congratulate her on the hit, though still complaining upon the pain that it had caused. "Sorry! It was just that it was an opening I couldn't resist! Hope ya nose heals up good though!!" Calling back at her, she'd watch as more weapons seemed to fall from a scroll, leading Ayukawa to blink before then looking back at the other female. There were now weapons everywhere, and she couldn't tell which were prompted by strings, and which ones weren't..if at all? What if Ryo was controlling these objects with her mind? What if it was just a minor fluke that she had seen that one instance of this on display? In the end, the girl would brace herself as she soon held her ground... The girl had one smoke bomb left, and a lot of ground to cover.. She could make a charge for it, but then she might very well be running into an ambush. Still, what were the chances that she'd be able to wield all of this weapons at once? "Don't worry though! I still got a whollleee lot more ready! Heh heh!" Tapping the back of her boots with her hand, she'd then prepare herself as she began to charge chakra into her limbs, preparing for the next move. "Well, let’s see it then”, she calls back at her opponent. This was fun, she was glad to have someone as cheerful as herself in the ring. Some of the more mopey and more dour people would make for a good fight, but not be nearly so entertaining to battle.

Ryo brings hands up in front of her and quickly works through a few seals. She was going to play this Ayukawa’s way for a while. An exam might not be the best place for experimentation; but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

The stone below her seems to liquify, seeping upwards quickly across the full length of her small frame. It settles around her in a second skin, forming a tough armored coating covering her from head to to. Compressing close to her skin it doesn’t alter her shape much, instead it just turns her the same grey as the stone below her. Thus armored she moved to meet Ayu’s charge.

She leaps down from the stone with ease and grace, hitting the ground and dashing forward quickly. As she does she reaches one hand into her pouch, and the left out behind her. 3 windmill shuriken animate from the pile and lift up from the ground. They immediately begin pursuit, quickly racing across the battlefield to catch up with their controller.

Her right hand reaches into her pouch, digging out a trio of kunai. She’s clumsy, though, perhaps the additional armor on her hands, but as she does she spills a number of things on the ground. A few pellets, a few shuriken, it’s hard to tell at a glance (but it’s just 2 shuriken, one of the kunai, a smoke bomb, and 2 flash bangs), but she continues on running without worrying about what she’s dropped.

Ayu was sharp, she picked up pretty quickly on just how much litter Ryo had strewn about. A doomstar, 3 mercystars, 10 windmill shuriken, 2 normal shuriken, with the two shuriken Ayu had thrown as well as the kunai on a string, the battleground was littered with toys for her to play with. Two of those toys come screaming in without warning, two of the windmill shuriken that were trying to catch up with her suddenly becoming rocket fast projectiles tearing across the battlefield past Ryo and curling in directly at Ayukawa.

She sent them speeding forward several meters before the two girls would meet, seeking only to put her slightly off balance when they finally do meet. A direct hit would be pretty bad, but she trusted her opponent to be kind enough to dodge the things. As they’re released from their strings Ryo is already connecting them to another pair of windmill shuriken in the pile now well behind her. The single one she had not launched rushed to her left hand and hovered an inch away from it. It acts as her shield as the two clashed, Ryo being slower and not particularly practiced in Taijutsu.

It wasn’t to say she had zero skill. She was still a trained genin, but taijutsu had never been her focus. She keeps her right hand ready to spring and strike, but it’s the windmill shuriken hovering inches from her left hand she sweeps and swings with, always seeking to keep the big blades between herself and Ayu as she advances and attempts to either drive her back, or cut her. Her right hand, holding a pair of kunai with one facing up and one facing down, prepares to block, parry or strike if needed.

Any object that can be held with a single string, such as a kunai or short sword for a standard shiso ido user, could be fired, and each use can fire off every object held in their strings. If a user has more than the standard number of strings for their rank, adjust the chakra cost of this jutsu to match. The strings can be aimed at different targets or the same, making this a generally dangerous technique to be up against.

CE Round 3 "What is she doing?" The distance between the two made it hard to make out, but there was certainly something happening upon that rock that was causing gray matter to rise up onto the other teen's flesh. It was as if she were changing colors, which was amazing and she knew she couldn't do that. Though with her seeming to now jump down and take on a more direct assault, Ayukawa would soon be rocking toward her in kind. The speed difference was there, and the movement of the Taijutsu nin was certainly impressive. She may not have been the fastest in the world, but the enhancement through her chakra did give her a boost. Still, it also meant that she had to be aware of just everything that was coming at her from the front, such as the barrage of weapons that seemed to be flying at her at intense speed. It was going to be tight, but she wasn't actually able to stop without some difficulty she had to press forward. Within moments, the projectiles would cross into her line of sight, prompting the girl to swiftly turn herself to the side , her feet still moving, if not slightly caught off-balance in her pursuit. It was then that her natural grace took hold, her purple gaze narrowing as she entered a more focused state. Her speed aided her, but her sight was what would guide her through this labyrinth of weapons. Dodging and weaving, she felt the nicks of the blades that she passed scratching the surface of her skin, the sting of their tips as they crossed by and ripped at the surface of her face. Still, the girl had been through worse, her endurance pushing her passed the pain. Soon enough, the two would meet within the center, the female still having one weapon left that she hovered close in defense. Two ways this could go.... Taking note of these small details, the girl had only seconds to decide. Within moments, the two would collide and there was still the two kunai that she held within her hands to prevent her from getting too close also. So in reaching into her pouch, the female would draw out her own kunai, sliding off to the side as the icy ground allowed her to coast across the surface, moving passed her swiftly as to evade the events all together. Yet, as she could see the tools and objects in which had been thrown behind her. There were some shuriken and pellets that littered the floor, and in sliding passed, she managed to pick up one of the pellets, leaping upward as she landed back upon her feet on the opposite side of the woman. "Oowwwwwwww....those things are sharp ya know!? Ya can't just throw them all willy-dilly!" Placing the object behind her back, the girl would then hold her ground as she tossed it down, revealing it to be the lone smoke bomb that had been left behind. As the screen began to form once more between them, Ayukawa took the time to flee once more, positioning herself behind the rocks again. The genin spins on her heel, managing to clip her opponent and actually draw some blood. She twists and turns about, redoubling her effort and chasing after Ayukawa as she makes her retreat. This was interesting, this was something she’d never done before, and it seemed effective enough. She’d have to try it against Suikazura sometime.

"Hey I have perfect control!” She counters in a teasingly offended voice. Her? Wildly throwing things? Never.. She rushes in after Ayu again, the windmill shuriken still hovering inches from the closed fist of her left hand. She gives an underhand sling of a kunai at Ayukawa as she charges again, but her aim is terrible. She’d correct it with shiso ido, but before she had the chance the world suddenly turned into smoke again.

She slows to a stop in the cloud, unable to see at all, and starts backtracking. She didn’t want to get caught off guard again, so she sets to backing up again. A few quick hops gets her back out of the smoke, and she sets to searching the battlefield again. This was a weird fight, neither of them wanted to go for the direct assault. She had long been practicing with her teammate, but Sui was pure aggression, non stop attacks with that damn stick. Ayukawa was giving her space, striking quickly and fleeing, and generally doing well at keeping Ryo on her toes.

The two windmill shuriken she’d snagged before caught up with her while she waited, and she gave a wave of her right arm towards the smoke. The shuriken both streak through the smoke screen to disperse some of it, but she only ‘threw them’. Slower than her projectile justu, she literally moved them with her puppet threads, and then released them. She didn’t expect to hit anything, she was just getting rid of the things, but such throws were still used with decent force.

With her mental hands free, she reaches out and brings the silver and the gold Mercystar back into the fight. They take up position on either side of her as she sets to looking for Ayu. She walks slowly, lifting her voice some.

"Come out come out where ever you aaaaarrrrree!”

She reaches up a little bit, wiping some of the blood off of her mouth with the hem of her ragged cloak. Her nose stung, quite a bit if she was being honest. Touching it didn’t help. She hisses quietly and moves her hand away again, continuing her search. As she does she draws the golden mercystar closer and lets her fingertips graze gently across its surface. Her nromal color returns as the armor jutsu fades and her stone protection flakes quickly away.

CE Round 3 "It was an active game of cat and mouse, and right now Ayukawa was the mouse... While having managed to slip passed Ryo's assault with scratches to show for it, the girl was once again in a position in which she was hiding out to come up with a new means to get in close. It was difficult to go for a direct attack with her having so many weapons upon the field. She could very well charge in and expect to get a hit off, even with all the speed she could muster. There had to be a way to directly engage her and get a solid hit in. One that didn't involve her getting diced to pieces... She still had one last smoke bomb left, having saved it with the unexpected help of Ryo's lost weaponry being scattered across the field. Though how did she make use of it in a situation like this? Ayukawa wished she was smarter....even the least bit of a small idea would do wonders right about now, and her cover was going to be blown before she knew it. She dared not look, but in hearing the call from within the swiftly clearly haze, the teen would then grin as she came up with something. Ryo couldn't see her, and that meant that she could easily do the same trick she had pulled before. Only with a twist. Preparing a seal set of five, the girl would create two clones of herself, feeling the strain upon her reserves as she released a soft breath. She'd have to make this count before she was completely out of it. Holding her position, she'd soon peek out and slam yet another bomb down close by, allowing for the cover to continue as she begin to send out the two clones into the haze. Their movements would be from two different directions, acting as a means to confuse the girl as they came at her from both right and left. In the meanwhile, Ayukawa would draw off her jacket, holding it up as she placed it around her as she actively enabled to to blend into the background of the rock she was behind, hiding herself as she waited for the right moment...She just needed to get her off-guard and she could move in. Silently she'd wait, watching for movements as she imagined that the girl would get closer the more she tried to find her out. Even if not, her cover allowed her some time to think of something else if need be. Ryo backs up more as another pop of smoke erupts near the first’s location. It caught her interest, but not so much as the pair of Ayu’s that came sprinting out after her. They both seek to flank her, but she already has her sides protected by a pair of massive wooden shuriken. The mercystars each give a little spin in place as she tightens her mental grip on them. She lifts her arms and both seek out their own targets. They don’t make it far, though.

Ryo wasn’t in the smoke, she could see the clones coming for her just fine. Bunshin clones weren’t going to work on her again. That they worked at all the first time was only because her vision was clouded. Ryo knows Kage Bunshin, and has had plenty of time to learn the differences between the real ones, and the immitations. Both mercystars cease their movements towards the clones and return to her sides.

"That’s not gonna work on me again!” she calls out with a little laugh. "I know what your clones look like now.” She could ignore them if she chose, and so she chose to do just that. They could be an annoyance, but they’d never be able to hurt her. Besides, if they got within reach she could swat at them then. For now, she decides to move.

Ryo springs into action leaning forward a bit and going from a slow and cautious walk to an outright run. She dashes off to the side, figuring Ayukawa must be somewhere near where the smoke bomb went off.

She races her way not in a direct path to it, but instead towards an adjacent rock a good distance from the smoke. A few hops and some chakra get her up the rock pretty quick, and once atop it she would renew her search again for the other genin. She checks around the rock she’s on first, but it was far from the smoke. Had Ayu thrown the smoke bomb she’d have seen it, so short of a body flicker it didn’t seem likely the girl would be there.

No, she was probably somewhere hiding in the smoke by that rock. She could wait here, range played into her favor. She lifts her left arm and spreads her fingers out, aiming the arm, and the windmill shuriken still floating near her fist, at the massive stone. She relaxes her fingers for a moment, then flicks them all outwards. In response the windmill shuriken blazes into action, clearing the distance between herself and the stone like a bullet from a sling. It strikes the stone soundly, sinking a few inches of hardened steel into it before the weapon splinters to pieces and casts bits and pieces of itself everywhere around where it shattered.

Easy as can be she lifts another windmill from the pile and starts pulling it over towards her. She also keeps her Mercystars close at hand, one on each side, flanking her.

CE Round 3 "It was gonna be tough to get around all this... She was close enough now, but the timing just didn't seem right yet. While she was attacking at the stone, Ryo was simply replacing each item with another that laid upon the ground. From her position Ayukawa could see her, the smoke still keeping her safe, along with her cloth cover allowing her to blend into the background of the rock. Yet, even that was faintly going to end as soon as all illusions of this set up fell away. There was one last idea that she could come to, one that might very well be desperate to say the least. In the end, she had to make her move as swiftly as possible, using her cover as the means to deceive. Ryo seemed to not care much for the clones, so she could easily use that to her advantage. But there were still the blades to worry about. Her hovering weapons that she kept close at all times. Perhaps there was more that could be done from the shadows, prompting her to move softly within the smoke, her body still hidden as she soon positioned herself on the opposite side of the stone. Taking up some wire from her pouch, she'd draw it between her fingertips, tightening it with both hands as she soon held the line as if she were prepared to tie up something. Within moments, the girl made her move, apply chakra to her limbs as her previous cloaked figure would swiftly slide toward the woman from cover, striking at her leg as she attempted to break it from her ankle, the smoke still adding cover to her movement as she remained low to the ground.
