Ryo keeps her eyes peeled, perched up on the only high ground available. The rock wasn’t much, but it was all that was offered in this arena. It was fine, it reminded her of most training grounds. Wide open, few rocks, but lacking in old beaten tree stumps.

She casts a wayward glance at the clones as she draws the windmill shrunken closer, perhaps focusing there for a moment too long. As she does, Ayukawa comes tearing out of her hiding spot. She was fast, but Ryo thought everyone was fast. She wasn’t cut out for the life of a taijutsu master. Still, she had heart.

She springs down quickly as she spies her opponent in the open and rushing over to her, bouncing down from the rock and onto the ground. She manages a few steps away from the rock, but wouldn’t get much further before the much faster girl came charging in to do her arm.

Just before she got there she’d be defending herself, assaulting the wild child with a thrust forward of her arm and a sudden rush forward of the golden Mercystar. It likely doesn’t hit, Ayu was pretty agile, but it didn’t need to. Ayukawa comes rushing in and finds Ryoko rather exposed and lacking in defenses. Her kick is true, striking her ankle and possibly crushing the bone, but it was for naught.

Only moments after the strike lands, the girl that seemed to be there poofs in a little puff of smoke. It clears almost immediately, revealing the Mercystar in a position where Ryoko had just stood.  Ayukawa would find herself all but hugging the weapon she was recently kicking, and to her credit she'd manage to give the wood a crack and bend the steel reinforcement a little.  Thankfully it wouldn't feel the pain of such an assault.

Some 10 meters away, where the weapon should have been, was suddenly Ryoko. She draws her hands together quickly, working through hand seals as deftly and quickly as Ayukawa could charge. She takes a small breath, then exhales a narrow pressurized stream of mud directly at her opponent. Hoping the element of surprise would assist, the mud gushes forth quickly, and oozes just as fast.

If it struck her it would get everywhere, more a fire hose than a rock slide. The thin mud coats like a thick paint and begins to quickly dry, setting like quicklime and threatening to hamper her motion.

DESCRIPTION:

Based on the Suiton: Mizurappa technique, the user will inhale deeply, before ejecting liquid-like mud from their gullet in a high velocity jet. The jet itself travels for about twenty meters before it looses momentum. Most of the liquid mixed with the mud evaporates when it comes into contact with body temperature, therefore making the mud denser and harder to move through. As such, it can either stop movement all together or simply slow the target down and stop them casting hand seals. This technique is obviously not perfect however, after a few minuets eventually hardens and becomes incredibly brittle, therefore making escape possible.

CE Round 3 "Oh no..." She had had been so close....so close to getting off a move that could have hampered the Genin from her rapid movement. But it was clear now that she wasn't going to get so lucky with this one. Not at least with her now having no idea just where she had gone. With the replaced weapon having been dented in Ryo's place, her landing upon the rock allowed for her to once again be on solid ground. Or at least, it was how it appeared. Within moments, something seemed to have taken hold of the surface, causing it to become more slick and muddy. Moments later, the girl could feel her boots becoming almost embedded with what felt like glue. Ayukawa attempted to struggle against it, but she could barely move. Scanning the area, she'd find the cause being that of her opponent not too far away, having clearly completed a jutsu that had the reason for this change in position. Gritted teeth, the girl continue to struggle and move, though it did little as the mud-like substance began to harden further. "Ah! Damn it!" Narrowing her eyes began to swiftly hold her ground, the wire still nesting between her fingers as she could feel it tighten in her grip. This was bad, and she had to think of a way to get back into a better position. Perhaps if she moved faster! Performing a single seal, the girl would focus her chakra yet again into her lower limbs, her eyes flashing quickly before her frame began to flicker as it would vanished with her brief increase in speed, disappearing from sight as her appearance would be displayed directly in front of Ryo. With her body having already in mid-movement, she'd slam the back of her elbow directly toward the Iwagakure shinobi, attempting to knock her back as she also tried to readjust her balance, her feet still mucked and slowed in their attempt at moving more shifty. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, and any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation. Despite its simplicity, this can be used to knock an opponent several yards away. -S.A Used- Lion's Sleep Hunter instincts and experience on the hunt have granted Ayukawa insight into the minds of the prey she encounters. Animalistic encounters have allowed her to track and be capable of following those that she intends to target, at times giving her brief, but small insight into their intentions. While not fully developed, they allow for her to be less than likely to be caught off guard in a extreme moment, but it isn't as developed as one with further experience in the art. In the Jungle To survive in the desert, one must be able to keep up with not just the prey, but also to outrun the wild predators as well. Ayukawa training and life in the wilderness and vast landscape has prepared her for such events. Her genetics in relation to the Saeko Clan have given her an edge in physical combat, along with making her much more agile. Well, shunshin was one way to close the distance quickly. It was quick, but it was kinda predictable. Watching Ayu form the familiar hand seal gave it away, and provided just a little bit of time for Ryo to react when Ayukawa landed in front of her. As the girl is released her shunshin hand seal, Ryo forms her own. As quickly as the wild child had evaded, so too does Ryo vanish in another small puff of smoke.

Her position is not immediately evident, landing on the far side of the rock all her windmills were around. By now the smoke bomb was almost completely gone, but she’d transported herself to the distant side to remain out of sight for a moment.

A moment later the girl leaps atop the rock she was hiding behind. What a strange turn about this had been. In the past few moments Ayukawa had charged away from the position Ryo now stood, and Ayukawa occupied her previous position. This wasn’t so bad. She reaches both hands out easily, seizing control of two of the windmill shuriken still cluttered beneath her boulder. They both lift and fan open, spinning in place slowly while Ryo assesses the battlefield.

This was an interesting fight, a strange sort of game she wasn’t really used to playing. She wasn’t terrible at it, but she was being too direct. Now she needed to be sneaky. Besides, the jutsu she used was still in effect, the mud covering the girl’s legs was still getting harder and setting into place. It’d continue to hamper her movement until it finally all dried and flaked off. The clone points a finger at Ayukawa.

"Not bad, but it’s getting close to the buzzer. We’re gonna have to stop playing around and get to the point here. You bout ready to get serious?” It looked just like her. From her trademarked shit eating grin to the presence of a modest chakra supply. Kage Bunshin was a far superior jutsu to its ethereal counterpart. She could even use jutsu

Behind the rock Ryoko was still safe and out of sight. She spends a moment just listening, letting the clone draw attention.

The clone does something far too familiar this fight. From the vantage point of the high ground she once more leaps down to the ground. She draws the windmill close, letting them take position just inches above and beyond each fist, acting as both shield and weapon. She races forward towards Ayukawa, closing in towards her and reaching out with more of her puppet strings as she does. Two windmill, and now both the Silver and Gold Mercystars take flight, and start making their way directly towards her opponent.

The mercystars get there first, capable of moving much faster than Ryo sprints, and both seeking to sweep in and impact her, their wight and speed making for substantial impact with anything they connect with. IF they miss, they can stop, and change directions almost immediately, seeking her out again and again. With one hand she controls both, forcing the pair of wooden crosses to dance circles in and around where the girl stands, and pursue her if she flees.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu.

NAME: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [Shadow Clone Technique]

DESCRIPTION:

Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows, as well as their kekkei genkai. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained along with it's remaining chakra are passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

CE Round 3 "Heh heh heh..That is true...so I guess we should give the people what they want right? A finale...." Ayukawa was running low on chakra..that much was clear. She had been doing what she could to try and stave off exhausion, but Ryo seemed to have a counter for every move she made. It could easily be a measure of reserves. Which was likeily, since she had never considered her own reserves to be so limited. But still she wanted to fight...she wanted to prove herself.... She didn't want to go out like someone who didn't belong, she wanted to go to the very last moment. Because that was what she was. She was the last moment girl, the teen that continued to fight even if it were suicide. Her feet were starting to dry up, she could feel it, and her movement would be hampered by it as well. Either way, she'd be fighting an uphill slope if she kept going. By now the woman had managed to come up with her own strategy and it was starting to show right before her. There was something off, and it was the less amount of blood that was coming from the person that was addressing her. She knew that a fresh wound would still be that..fresh..so the fact that this women was already not smelling right rang a few bells. BBut then, what could she do about it? She'd still have to find her and that alone would take time and even at her fastest rate, that owould be difficult to achieve. There was one other option...one that she had left behind in all this.... The two other pellets..... One of them had to be a smoke bomb or a something...anything.... It was a dangerous gamble, but she had to believe that one of them had to be something. That that meant getting to them first, and she had a lot of opposition to deal with in order to do so...Even then, she had to bet on ton the fact that she might think that she'd conclude that these were clones and nothing more. She'd have to assume that her defenses were based on her assumption of such, which so far had proved that she had some awareness that Ayukawa would use them. This was a last ditch effort to confuse and hope that she'd follow along. A risky move....but this was the first round of the final exams...she had to at least try it.... With her focusing upon the position of the final pellets, she'd transport herself to their position, moving out as the hardening substance began to try and corrupt her footing. Yet as they did so, she'd pick up one of the pellets, slamming it down not too far from her position as ten clones would appear along and around her. With clone sending off an attack, their distance limited and the flash allowing for their cover of the real suitor, Ayukawa was able to trace the scent of real blood and quickly used her enhanced speed to find Ryo behind the rock. Despite her exhaustion and the clear need of rest, while the clone was pelleted with illusion attacks, the real Ryo would find herself confronted with the real Ayukawa, her speed hampered, but her power still in tact as she attempted to try and strike at Ryo from her advantage of little vision and no other than clones as her eye sight. In this, she'd pull off one last move of attacking her directly, her leg so quick that if could possibly knock her protective shield out the way, despite the injury to her own limb and attempt to do the same to her should she proceed. Bloodily or not, she hold her leg upward, ready to continue, as she waits for a response as she hold her position right in front of her. Oh, but Ryoko didn’t have a shield. She had no weapons at all floating about her. She wasn’t exactly confident in her trickery, but she had figured it’d take more than a second for Ayukawa to track her down. It was impressive maneuvering, and a little bit of a surprise when the girl came rushing around her rock, but Ryo wasn’t out yet.

Ryo’s toys were littered all over. It was only fair that Ayukawa made use of her tools, as she often stole those of her enemies. Somehow, though, Ayu had been smart enough not to try to actually throw anything at her. Perhaps she’d heard the warning she issued back in round two. The clone stood confident with a pair of windmill shuriken near her hands, not needing to close into hand to hand range while her weapons kept the girl busy. Her right arm was still extended, fingers flicking back and forth as her forearm and wrist added in subtle twists and tugs of her invisible strings.

The pair of Mercystars could crush a person to pieces, but it seemed Ayukawa was able to mount a defense. The clone is momentarily blinded by the bright flash of the stun bomb, but she was far enough away to avoid being completely affected by it. Instead after a blink she notes a distinct abundance of clones. So many clones.

"You know, if you keep hiding in clones I can’t be blamed when I cut you down with them..” Says the clone, setting to do just that. She leans forward and with sweeps of her arms the Mercystars come in cutting through them in great bloodless swathes.

Even as the clone sets to battle, though, the real Ryoko is still ready to battle. As the wild child comes rushing in, she turns to face the charge and stand her ground. No weapons in hand, but she still had her wits, and her jutsu. The previous jutsu was doing its job slowing her down, so she lifts her hands for another one. She flicks through seals quickly and deftly, well practiced with the few jutsu she knew.

That Ayukawa aimed low was another saving grace, earthen armor quickly leaping up from the ground and running up across her body. It armors her legs first, hiding tender flesh behind hard stone before the girl’s able to make contact. Ryoko soaks the hit, gritting her teeth and bracing for impact. It hurt, it would probably even bruise, but it'd save any bones from being broken.  Without hesitation Ryoko hisses from the pain, balling up a stone covered fist and attempting to jab it quickly into Ayukawa's face.

Ryoko had basic academy training, so she knew how to swing, but she was still slower and clumsy with her natural weapons. "HEY!” She shouts, but not at Ayukawa. She wasn’t going to last long alone in hand to hand, so she was calling her clone’s attention. She was getting a little nervous. With her clone out there, she was running pretty low on chakra herself.

DESCRIPTION:

After three Hand-seals, the user will create an light stone armour around themselves. The user can shape the armour to look like whatever they want, from simple stone to a unique stone armour than nobody else has. The Jutsu greatly increases their strength, without hindering the users speed. It is naturally weak against Raiton and as long as the user is in contact with the earth, is capable of reforming any damage taken.

CE Round 3 "The impact of her strike against the now protective flesh of Ryo vibrated against the Saeko's lower limb. She'd feel as if she'd been kicking stone, yet still manage to avoid not breaking anything for the moment. Though that alone couldn't save her at the moment, having now engaged the female directly and with little tricks left to prevent any other chances than this. Her chakra was low, and now she was fighting in close range. A perfect set up, if she had the means in which to finish this. Breaking down what was a shell of protection was going to be hard, but the girl wasn't ready to quit. Not when she was so close. With a fist surging in her direction, Ayukawa would swiftly sway to the side, locking her leg upward so that she captured it it beneath her thigh. Yet, in holding her balance, it appeared as if the youth was far from done in this maneuver. Time was short and she had to pull this move off quickly. So as she trapped the attacking appendage, the dark haired female would lurch forward, her knee driving itself forward into her opponent's chest. The movement would release her other leg from Ryo's arm, prompting a flip as the girl would fall backward into the air, her foot attempting to clash against the Iwa nin jaw in the process. Landing shakily back upon the ground, she held her ground in front of the other youth. Breathing heavily, the Suna-nin would continue to ready herself, purple eyes narrowed as she focused upon her single target. It was coming down to the wire now, and it was all about who'd be the last one standing at this point. She had to keep her actions down to a minimum at best. Conserve what she could...and strike hard where she could... "How's that?" Fast sweeping passes of the two massive shuriken dispatch most of the clones in short order, however the clone is distracted by a call of distress from the original. Immediately she turns and races back towards the rock she’d just left. Thankfully she didn’t get far.

Ryoko was a little confused by the other genin’s strange fighting style, seeming to counter her attack with her legs instead of her hands. Instead of blocking she seemed to be the grappling sort, and seized her hand. Two could play at that game, though! With her wrist caught she continues moving in to the girl, pushing their bodies close and wrapping her arm tightly around the girl’s thigh.

Ayu was slippery though, and Ryo unprepared. She manages to get free to lash out with another kick, but Ryoko mostly walks into it, closing distance to hug her before her stone covered feet could lift to strike her face. Instead she’d take the kick to her chest and shoulder. Sacrificing defense for offense she grabs her again, surprising strength and her stone skin letting her get a real good grip on her.

Her armor was an advanced technique, but it shouldn’t be said she didn’t take a beating. The kick hurt, but she kept pushing forward. A kick wasn’t going to take her out, not now. The earthen protection cracks and breaks as it’s impacted, but as quickly as it breaks the armor quickly heals itself.

The clone leaps up to the top of the rock easily, arriving on the scene as Ryo is trying to grab Ayukawa. Regardless of her success, a quick thrust forward of her arm and a wiggle of her fingers sends both mercystars down upon Ayukawa again to smite her. If Ryoko did manage to succeed in grabbing the girl, hoping that ignoring defenses would get her close enough, she’d just keep holding the girl tightly in place, and the mercystars would both halt a couple inches from the pair. Otherwise, they are swinging in to do harm to the other genin.

CE Round 3 "The move had managed to catch the female off guard, but with the recovery of the armor appearing so rapid...she might as well have done nothing.. In having attempted to get free she found herself now caught in Ryo's embrace, feeling a tight hold around her as she struggled against it. The strength of this girl was intense, nearly to the point of cracking bones. She could feel her grip tightening, her hold seem to trying to keep Ayukawa in place for something. Likely the clone...Though now she was literally in a position where things could get very dicey. In more ways than one... Ayukawa wanted to keep fighting...she wanted to think of a way out of this, to get free...but she couldn't come up with anything solid to get through from her grip, and now she was going to be dealing with the fact that she'd have two to need tangling rather than just one. Twisting, her hold just seemed to get tighter, leading to the girl gritting her teeth as she narrowed her eyes in her struggle. Before long, she could hear another set of footsteps coming, and one look over allowed her to see the teen's double. Within moments, the bladed weapons would begin to fly in, surging forward at the female's command. This was it...she had tried literally everything and nothing was working. If she kept this up, all she'd be doing would just be a delay. She wasn't able to break through that armor. So...she did the only thing she could do... "I GIVE UP!" Closing her eyes, she'd release a disappointed sigh as she slumped slightly in the woman's grip. "I give up...you win..." Sometimes the hardest thing a person could do was admit that they were outmatched. Though in the end, if this was a real life situation, sometimes surrender was the best option. Ayukawa loved to fight...she loved it more than anything else because of how much fun it was. Getting to challenge others skills and abilities. But this was that moment in which when it wasn't simply the fact that she was losing...but having to admit that she just wasn't strong enough here. Not this time anyway... "Heh heh...Ya better hope ya don't end up down in the losing section with me in the last round..because I sooo wanna rematch..." BRY of W&&R and CAUTION

"Ahhhhh thank the freakin’ gods!” Ryoko lets her go the moment she admits defeat, and almost immediately falls over. That was it, her last bit of strength being used. It’d really come down to the wire on that one, and after a moment she is just left panting on her back.

This had been a most unorthodox fight and gave her some ideas she’d have to try out later. More importantly, she succeeded where she was not quite sure she would. She was on her final reserves, but the rush of victory and the cheering crowd gave her a bit of a second wind.

Her armor and the clone both disperse as she’s pushing herself back up onto her feet, suddenly feeling all the exertion she’d been putting out. Endorphins flood her little brain, causing her smile to grow wide and more cheerful than teasing.

"I did not think you were going to give up, oh my god, I am like so past my limit. I promised I wasn’t gonna show my clones to anyone until the last match, so you really made me go a lot harder than I thought I was gonna have to. That was an awesome fight!”

Ryo steps up and offers her a victory sign, same two fingers presented as the peace sign. She steps forward, not linking fingers but instead presenting a fist to bump, pound, or punch, whatever she was feeling. It was interesting, she didn’t use fists a lot, but something about punching did feel pretty damn cathartic. If she knew more about taijutsu it could make for an interesting approach to her family’s jutsu. Any opponent that makes her think up a new trick was always worth fighting in her book.

"I’d do it again any time. We still got two more rounds, don’t count yourself out yet. I know ain't nothing stopping me on my way to the top.”
