The reaction from the Taki shinobi was a surprise, he wasn’t expecting a formal like command to leave the man's lips. Yuuta made a note to remember to not judge a book by its cover. Yuuta ignored the man's orders, Takigakure shinobi had no authority over him. Hell, Konohagakure barely had control over Gure Yuuta; especially once he's resolved to test his theories. The theory that had been burning in his head this entire time, were between Yuuta and Minako. The Gure felt a familiar air from the women, even more so when he had recited his poem. However, after hearing the Taki-nin’s words, more questions popped into the Gure's mind.

It would seem that the Takigakure shinobi had slightly misunderstood what the Gure Shinobi were trying to convey. Yuuta sighed; firstly he'd address the man's mention of preemptive strikes and then he'd explain his actions and the reasons behind them. "For the record… You are the only shinobi here that has mentioned anything of the sort. I simply recited a poem” Gure Yuuta chose his words, carefully. He didn't spend his entire life up until now researching, history, past wars and political conflicts, to not know how far he could push the situation. Not only that but the Takigakure shinobi weren't the one Yuuta was trying to bait but since he kept going on; Yuuta would oblige the man and pick his brain.

When the Takigakure shinobi mentioned being between two shinobi from enemy nations, Yuuta’s own immense supplies of chakra spiked, albeit briefly. It washed their immediate area in a swamp like aroma of murky water, dead foliage and mildew. The Gure would managed to gain ahold of himself before continuing. "Ah, so you did understand the poem huh bud? You and the Mizukage are from two nations against ours… yet here we are acting all civilized. Putting our children against one another to supposedly congratulate their efforts. Shameful adults aren't we?” His question was rhetorical but it would nonetheless get his point across. Yuuta wasn't exactly trying to excite war but he wasn't going to sugar coat the reality of the situation.

Instead of shallow complements; it would be in every villages best interest to understand that one day these kids will eventually fight because of us and when that day comes it wouldn't be an act. In that moment Gure Yuuta decided that his duty to Issei, Rokurou and Yurako weren’t finished by a long shot. "We're not allies, we're just under a ceasefire order and that my friend is what the ending of my poem refers to. Unless… you meant Takigakure and Kirigakure are allies? Wouldn't that be something. Please continue… the more the man talked the more theories popped into Yuuta’s mind. Not only did Yuuta theorize that Kiri and Taki were allies but he also had many theories pertaining to Earth Grude Fear. With the man having said the ability’s name; Yuuta had several leads he could use to find it more about the ability. One would be surprised how far people would go for a little Ryo(money).

Yuuta decided he'd end his little game between him and the Takigakure shinobi in order to focus on a bigger and better source of information; the Mizukage. However before that he'd respect the Takigakure shinobi enough to attentively finish their back and forth. "You've given me so much information already, Taki-nin For example, Earth Grudge Fear was it? I'll be sure to remember that girl’s brief use of it. It'll come in handy when training my squad” Yuuta reiterated his stance by making everyone notice that during the exams they should not fall victim to the veil known as a ceasefire. It wasn’t a peace treaty, anything and everything said would and could be used against another in the coming years.

[Senju Kazuto]

Silence would be the only answer that Kazuto could provide at the interaction between Yuuta, the Mizukage and the man from Takigakure. He pressed lips together as the rest of his face turned into a mask sculpted from granite as outrage raced through him. If a look could kill, the look that the Senju glared at the Gure was one of outright slaughter. What he had just done, poem or not could be considered a thread and it took him every ounce of restraint not to jump in and toss him into the ground. Words like that could be construed as a thread and doubly so in front of someone of the caliber of the Mizukage. Kazuto closed his eyes as he crossed his arms before his chest as he kept his own temper in check, distracted only at the sound of cheers of another match being concluded as he tried to reign in his own anger. He would then open his eyes, clearing his throat to make all in the group to look at him, placing his hand on the Gure's shoulder, fingers pressing harsh against the flesh as a signal to keep quiet despite the fact that they had learned information from the enemy. His eyes would then move towards the man of Takigakure and the Mizukage. "I apologize for the indiscretion of my friend." Kazuto said softly, releasing his hand from Yuuta. "His tongue is sometimes faster than his mind." He said quietly as he would shift his gaze towards his fellow village member to reinforce the fact that he needed to keep quiet and allow him to speak at the moment. "Despite his momentary lapse of judgment, I hope that we can remain civil at the moment, for our sake and that of the child as well." He said, remaking of the baby in the arms of the Mizukage, preferring not to involve the child.

Katsune watched in silence, how this man was twisting his own words against him made his skin crawl. The man boldly remarked that Katsune was thinking of some calamity to unfurl and the accusation was child-like, he could easily point that out, but instead, the Takigakure shinobi remained silent. This man was already making Konoha look blood thirsty, perfect opportunity to let him build up the inevitable war between them. he way the man worded it sounded like a straight taunt to the sanctity and foundation of this truce of the treaty that brings them together after the 3rd great war. Katsune was disappointed in the man, it seemed he let his emotions get the better of him and frankly, the Taki man grew concerned. Wasn't Konoha supposed to be the civilized one while the minor Nation was to be feral, according to how enemies saw each other? This man was proving the exact opposite and Katsune knew how to take care of pests like this.

The man spoke that after this ceasefire, they'd all go back to being enemies, oh if he only understood diplomacy. He then offered Katsune to continue which only brought a cold stare, a little chakra application could turn this into a fiasco. This man was pushing a very thin line. As he started to end his little spiel, at the mention of Earth Grudge Fear, the man scoffed, "You really believe they can take on Yosaiyama, the killer of a Suna and Kumo Kage? A small bit more practice and she'll be there." It was right after this retort that the other Konoha shinobi stepped in to reel his comrade.

"No harm done, I do hope this was all friendly banter." Katsune chuckled with a small grin, he was no longer paying attention to the fights, instead his focus was on the men. He only had one thing to say, "I agree, let us calmly sit down and enjoy these fights, we aren't enemies here. Only those that defy the treaty. I also agree we should not bring violence to the child, only the mother can decide when and if it is safe to do so. 'Poem Reciter', please do not risk the treaty over words that should be left behind closed doors at least."

Enhanced Chakra Control


An ability developed for his prowess in genjutsu, Katsune manifested a sense of fine chakra control that will optimize his use of chakra usage to deliver Genjutsu after genjutsu. While his reserves ere to the average amount, Katsune needs the capabilites of utilizing Genjutsu after Genjutsu followed by ninjutsu if he needs to deliver the final blow. Allowing him to fine tune his usage to effectively minimize excess drain that jutsus normally carry. This is a 'tunnel' effect that narrows chakra paths so only the exact amount is needed for each jutsu without leaving a risk for excess chakra discharge

Layered Genjutsu

Being gifted in the field of genjutsu, Katsune has learned how to layer Genjutsus on top of one another without breaking the original illusion the target was caught in. While extremely challenging to pull off, it opens the possibility of compounding impairments being placed on a target.

Lingering Genjutsu

Another ability picked up by Katsune for his skill in genjutsu. Lingering Genjutsu is what some would call a 'trap' effect. Once a genjutsu is cast and the target is caught, Katsune is able to cast a second genjutsu to linger in 'hiding' beneath the first. It will remain inactive until the first jutsu is kai'd out of. Then, that trap card is revealed and the second genjutsu automatically takes over. This also is quite the intricate feat to pull of, requiring vast chakra control and a genjutsu specialization.

Heightened Intelligence

Katsune was always intellectually gifted since childhood; but, the feat to understand emotion, how to deliver the appropriate words of insurance, his eye for detail and the ways he can correlate action with outcome earns him the title akin to a detective. He can pick out small clues and paint a screenshot image of what happens, giving him valuable credibility. He doesn't need a lot for his deduction prowess, only simple clues.

Magen Specialist

Due to his frequent use of the Magen genjutsu family, Katsune's illusions of those specific jutsus are much more terror inducing. Their unique traits feel even more vivid and surreal, making genjutsu detection harder for genjutsu-only specialists, significantly more for primaries and secondaries, and very vivid to non specialists. The genjutsus, if they hit the opponent, are not harder to break. Leaving Kai and pain breaks at their original, respectful ranks. Instead, time moves seemingly moves slower when entrapped in the genjutsu, causing the effects to happen at a much with a heightened power effect. The techniques neither increase nor degress in time. They just intensify in their illusions, making even the most strong-willed crumble in fear.

The man had guts. She liked it. It was dangerous and if she had to guess, he was not the type to engange in the sort of battle Minako preferred. Her attention was on the takigakure nin and the Gure. Did he truly think a simple poem excuse could wash away this thinly veiled threat? He as either dumb, reckless, or wanted to end the ceasefire. Amusement twinkled in her gaze and soft lips pulled lightly at the edges. Watching someone dig their own grave had never been anything short of entertaining.

Aquamarine did drift to… a different sight. Kazuto. He looked positively stiff. With rage. It should have been worrying, should have caused the woman to bristle and posture, but she let it play out like a bad movie you simply couldn’t tear your eyes from. She would school the features back into more neutral tones, simply nodding and holding Yua a little tighter when the stoic Konoha voiced an apology on the Gure’s behalf.

Katsune rose to accept it graciously and tactfully. How boring. But incredibly important. As much as Minako loved a good brawl, war was not something she’d start over mere words and taunts. No there was a time for everything. With a sight she rose, Yua nestled on one arm.

"As… Entertaining and pleasant your company is, I will take my leave.”

She nodded politely to them, then turned and made her leave, her fabrics dancing around had and as she left a lighter, gentler tune could be heard as she spoke to Yua, simple words of the two of them finding some food and a quite place for a nap. Whether it was for Yua or the Mizukage was up for debate.

Kazuto would step in on Yuuta's behalf, much to the latter's dismay. He viewed the Senju as his superior, being that Kazuto held the position of ANBU captain. However in the heat of the moment Kazuto had let Yuuta down. It seemed that Yuuta had misjudged Kazuto's character, he wasn't the "will of fire made flesh" that everyone saw him out to be. If he were then such eagerness to placate Hi no kuni's enemies would have never crossed the man's mind. Nevertheless, Yuuta's seed of discord had already been planted.

"That will be the first and last time you speak for me Kazuto… I am perfectly capable of speaking for myself" Yuuta said flatly, in response to his colleague's attempt to remedy the situation. The Takigakure shinobi spouted off orders as if he were someone who could give orders to a Konohagakure Shinobi. Kazuto's hand being placed on Yuuta's shoulder stopped the Gure's hand; the Senju knew that Yuuta would've attacked Tatsune had the Takigakure shinobi continued. The gaul of the man, Yuuta wanted so badly to remind Tatsune that he was a minor nation shinobi and to not think he could bark orders to the likes of Hidden Leaf Shinobi

"You think very highly of yourself Serizawa Katsune. To casually bark orders to superior shinobi from the hidden leaf. Why it's positively hilarious… " the Gure added before shoving Kazuto's hand from his shoulder. Before Yuuta could continue, The Mizukage would take her leave. Yuuta had noticed the twinkle within her eyes as he tested everyone's resolve. Taking his cue from the Hidden Mist Leader, Yuuta would turn to both Kazuto and Katsune before taking his leave. "It seems that I should take my leave as well… after all… I can only step on an ant so hard without crushing it…" Yuuta said before using the Gure Clan's migration technique to merge within the ground and remove himself from the fighting arena.

DESCRIPTION:
The first jutsu created by the Gure clan and the first ability the clan members are taught, Iko is the basic of all the Gure clan techniques. Named after the Great Migration of the Gure's past, Ikō enables the Gure to merge their body with the ground and flora. Once merged the Gure member can only be detected by chakra sensing, additionally the clan member can travel at varying speeds when merged; due to their genetics being similar to Fungi, the Gure clan is able to use their chakra to replicate the symbiont nature of their Fungi brethren; Then, using the underground network of organic matter, consisting of things like plant roots, decomposing organic material, soil and water veins, the clan can travel anywhere with high speed. Individually, A gure clan member can only cover a certain amount of area before needing to emerge. The max area an jounin level Gure can travel is normally 10 kilometers, however there are a unique few (Elite jounin) who have pushed this limit to 15 usually due to skill or special abilities. Younger less experienced Gure clan members are commonly limited to 1-5 kilometers depending on the rank, Genin being able to pull off several meters to 1 kilometer max and Chunin being able to move 5 kilometers max. Sp. Jounin and average jounin 5-10. It should be noted that this jutsu can be used by multiple Gure clan member’s together to increase its range and strength. It should be noted that Iko is an infiltration and travel jutsu and the merging process isn't fast enough to evade jutsu.
