His hand thrummed with energy as he held it poised over the ground, kneeling on one knee so he could slam it down at a moment's notice. Moment after moment seemed to tick by at an agonizing pace, making it feel like an eternity, but he waited. His trap had to work. It had to. He reflexively tightened his grip around the kunai between his fingers. Any moment.[break][break] And then there it was, the soft splash of water as someone stepped through it. The hand holding the kunai flicked out towards the sound and he heard it strike water and earth. The splashes were coming closer now. Nagisa threw another two kunai. The footsteps skipped ever closer, dodging the thrown stars. Nagisa pulled out one final kunai and threw it toward the noise. Hard. He heard the sound of the blade piercing flesh and a stutter in the splashing steps. So close. The corner of his mouth quirked in a grin. Bullseye.[break][break] Nagisa pressed his hand against the stone just as the angry bellow came from Zakku and he began running towards the Yuki. The pain from the kunai strike had probably brought the Suna somewhat to his senses and his aim toward Nagisa was true. Just how the other boy wanted. The second Zakku's feet would touch the stone, the icy white tendrils of what was quickly becoming Nagisa's favorite jutsu would surge from the stone and up his legs, freezing the Suna fast to the stone and stopping him in his tracks, and then before he could react to the ice freezing his lower limbs, it would travel up further covering his body until he couldn't move an inch. Practically frozen, but not enough for him to die from it. Or for Nagisa to shatter him into little pieces, sadly.[break][break] Of course, there was the annoying side effect of his plan. While Zakku would be well and trapped in his jutsu, Nagisa would be taking on a lot of lightning because he had been foolish enough not to consider the other boy would fire off a counterjutsu instead of freeing his legs. Stupid, stupid mistake. The only saving grace was that Zakku probably couldn't aim properly with the genjutsu on him. But Nagisa couldn't react in time as several lightning bolts arced across the stone and up his hand.[break][break] His muscles seized. He had the thought that he had expected to be thrown back, but that was drowned out by pure agony. It felt like pure fire, but worse. He had been burned before, and this felt like it was searing him from the inside. His vision whited out but he didn't lose consciousness, but all his senses were filled with pain, pain, pain. Then his muscles spasmed, he fell off the rock and into the slush-water below. Nagisa was pretty sure he was screaming, but maybe he wasn't. Since nothing seemed to respond properly at all.[break][break] It could have been seconds, minutes, hours, he didn't know, but he would slowly regain feeling in most of his limbs, save for the arm that had been touching the stone. His eyes opened again and he looked to see the damage. His limb was smoking, lightning-shaped burns carved up the flesh of his arm with blackened gashes. Bad. Bad. Bad. He knew enough medicine to know it was gonna scar something fierce, provided he didn't lose the entire limb.[break][break] It hurt, every movement hurt, but the genin knew pain from living with his mother and he gritted his teeth and rolled to his side, to push at the ground and try to get to his feet. Blood dripped from his nose and ears, droplets staining the slush beneath. Nagisa leaned heavily against the rock and lifted his head, to see if his ice trap had worked. If taking a lightning bolt had been worth it. [break][break]
[break] Since Zakku is still under the genjutsu, I don't think his aim would be the best, even at a close distance. Plus his feet are now fastened to a rock to also throw him off. That being said, Nagisa still got hit and would definitely spend quite a bit seizing on the ground and he has now lost the use of his left hand. But White Tree doesn't require constant attention from him, so it would still be spreading, even after he's been hit, idk if Zakku has something that can break the hyoton ice which is technically stronger than normal ice due to nagisa's sa.[break][break] Jutsu Used: - ❆ Shimogakure no Jutsu [Hiding in Frost Technique]

Nagisa is a genius with Ice Release. Though he is not yet aware of the extent of his own talents, his ability to comprehend and learn Ice Techniques may perhaps be the best that has appeared for quite some time. His use of Ice in his techniques would be more aptly described as a sort of command over the element rather than the simple use of it. Is almost as if it is an element which he can someday come to rule and use as freely as his own body. His chakra is so in tune with the nature of Hyōton that it is chilling in of itself as if imbued with the ability to freeze anything. There is no question that his chakra is more potent and stronger than even some of the greatest Hyōton users. - Adept Chakra Control[break]
As a medical ninjutsu practitioner Nagisa has excellent chakra control despite his young age. Unlike most Ninjutsu users a medical ninja must be able to control their chakra perfectly in order to heal another person's injuries without doing harm to the patient. This control also allows him to use the perfect amount of chakra when molding his ninjutsu techniques so he doesn't use too much and wear himself out too quickly.
