So many had come to watch the genin who wanted to attempt to test themselves and advance to the next level.  It was very much, do or die.  To Roku? He was mostly dying. He had made it through the first arena on food he found and with his ability to dodge. The second? The awful rabbit challenge... He had been dehydrated, exhausted, and forced to work with people he did not know and he did not grow to particularly like any of the two, granted most of it was likely due to him already being tired.  But now he was stood in a small hallway, dressed in a simple outfit which allowed him to move as he wished, below he wore one of those snazzy thermal suits he had seen around. He had likely purchased it for far above the asking price, but he really didn't fancy fighting dressed in a coat and snow boots. His inventory was in his holsters and pockets, which were strapped to their usual places but the only thing missing from his person was the locket with the picture of those two people he didn't really know. But... The name Akai had occupied his mind a few times during the stay here in Yukigakure.  Now he would shake out his hands, drag them over his face before he took a deep breath. Recalling what happened if he failed on a mission. How his comrades or even his teacher would pay for his mistakes. He could not fail this and return home with his honor and self-worth intact, that was for sure...  Roku would walk out of the arena, hands closed into tight fists and with determined, calculated steps. His brown, almost black eyes, would go around the stadium, noticing all the different formations of rocks, but... ultimately, it was a very empty space. Likely to provide the best viewing experience... There wasn't a single shinobi who this male recognized in the bunker, he assumed Kouki had to have been in the other bunker. It didn't really matter he wasn't chummy with this other genin anyways, but it was weird watching all these fights with a bunch of strangers. He kept silent and watched closely as the fights went on, it was to him rather advantageous to be able to watch first and fight last. Anyone who exhausted themselves prior wouldn't get a good view of his fight.

It would with the second to last combatants being taken of the field finally be his turn to battle. A blank expression would be replaced by that of a devious grin, a white smile revealing almost shark like teeth. Beyond these the only thing that stood out about this shinobi were his red eyes and the fact he came ready with four massive summoning scrolls. Otherwise his outfit was a fairly lack luster, as it was rather casual long sleeved shirt and matching pants of a very light grey practically white. His feet were covered by black combat boots and he wore black gloves. Around his neck was his head band a black cloth with the symbol for Yukigakure in it's center.

A harness over his shoulder like a backpack would hold the four large scrolls a top each other behind the man. His hands around the front straps of this scroll holder, as he'd walk out of his bunker and approach the konoha shinobi. Readying himself by moving to the position the other contestants had to face of with their foes. A truly thrilled look upon his face, as he'd state the same thing his opponent had. "Ready!"

He seemed to carry scrolls and dressed rather simple. He wore a wide grin and honestly… Roku felt a bit unnerved by it. It was weird. But he didn’t move, just stood there and was ready, eyes never leaving the other, studying the man and observing. Was he perhaps a fuinjutsu user as well? Or bukijutsu? Roku had read some people liked to combine the two to unleash volleys of weapons from scrolls. Roku’s dark eyes narrowed a little, then, as the start signal was given, Roku would spring to action. He would fire shuriken at the other male, jumping back, but his eyes were on the Yukigakure shinobi. Ready to study his moves and react to whatever he would answer with. Once the other reacted, Roku would as well. If he attacked, Roku would do his best to dodge and the run to his right, a kunai in hand. If the other dodged and didn’t follow up with an attack, Roku would still run to his right. Unhooking his hands from the straps of his scroll holster as soon as the match would begin. The grinning shinobi seemed to go for the probable path the konoha was considering, as he'd go straight for unlatching and retrieving the top scroll on his back. It seemed almost like over kill, as it'd likely ninja tools wise be capable of carrying a thousand if not more pieces of weapon. However the action was perhaps stifled by the other genin's own starting action, as shuriken were quite easier to draw and throw than scrolls.

However the distance between them would provide some time to react, to which the other shinobi was quite fast to react. Retrieving the scroll and swinging it with a rotation of his body, as his hands got a good grip to either side. He'd use the size of the item, as well as the thickness of the paper spool to block the shuriken. He'd spin the scroll between his hands allowing it to unravel before gorilla chucking the whole scroll towards Roku. His thumbs catching the crease as it was leaving his chucking motion, an unraveling roll of massive paper heading to almost intercept the shinobi's running.

Despite the almost grace with retrieving and power of the throw, it'd seem to have almost no accuracy behind the attack. If it wasn't stopped though it'd crash to earth rather heavily, then continue rolling out. Revealing the rather basic seal showing upon the interior of the article. The seals however were massive, as though the Yukigakure shinobi had sealed a small ballista in each. Regardless of the direction the hidden uchiha went the only objective of the snow shinobi would be to charge down the length of the scroll. A sprint so low to the ground he could run his hand across the scroll. As though ready to summon one of these sealed medieval weapons in a heart beat.

Chuck the scroll at him like it was some oversized projectile! What in the Hokage's name was he thinking? Roku would sprint to get out of the way, his mind turning and examining this new piece of information.  Scrolls usually carried something inside them, meaning this genin from Yukigakure was about to unseal something. Roku would come to a skidding halt, pushing up snow and then he would be running to the unrolled scroll, making sure he was somehow in sight of the other genin before he weaved two signs, holding the last one. If the other genin attempted to see what Roku was about to send his way he'd find that a large rock had jutted out from the ground in an attempt to trip him and send him nose first into the snow.  If it managed to land, Roku would dance a few steps closer, eyes on the other genin. If he got up Roku would weave the seal again, hoping to convince the genin that Roku was using a Doton technique to mess with him. If Roku made it to the scroll he would slash at the paper, hoping to tear it enough so that he could flee with an entire seal and whatever it contained. He hadn't really had the chance to look at it, but now it meant the yukigakure had one less weapon. Or whatever was in it.  If he managed to make it out with the paper piece he would attempt to get up on top of one of the boulders using his tree walking. If he had not managed to make it away with the paper, but instead be interrupted or found he was unable to slash the paper before the other genin came for him, he would flee empty handed, but attempt to land a hit by throwing the kunai he had at the grinning manman.  SPOILER: Click to show NAME: Ryokōni no Jutsu [Tripping Technique] RANK: E CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low CLASSIFICATION: Genjutsu ELEMENT: - HANDSEALS: 1 TRIGGER: Visual DESCRIPTION: While it is an extremely simple technique, due to the speed in which it affects the target it can be quite handy in a combat situation. Taro hadn't expected after his opponents first moves, to have then turned to head towards him. It excited the young male immensely, but it'd be slightly hard to tell as his grin could only grow so much. A sharp gleaming smile that hadn't a clue about his opponent. Mutually the two would be learning each other, but he wouldn't be prepared for the jutsu the konoha shinobi used. Instead he'd be doing the exact thing necessary for the trigger. Watching Roku.

Upon seeing the handseal it'd seem almost immediate the Yukigakure shinobi would be bested by a stone. It was an embarrassing thing to be so caught of guard, but this boy wasn't the type to let embarrassment hinder him. A slight blush hidden by the position of his falling body, but he'd not just hit the rock and eat snow below him. Instead the shinobi whipped his head forward and arms back to perform a rolling front flip, his roll specifically aimed to the side of him the scroll laid.

Ground with his hands to the ground he'd press his hand against one seal applying his chakra. As a large poof of white smoke would release the stored item, grasping it before the smoke cleared. Taro would get back up as quickly as he fell, tugging a very large object through the smoke. It's apparent volume didn't speak for it's solidity or even fully it's weight. As the smoke would flow through whatever item had been summoned. Small brown needles would shed from the object as it'd be spun into a throw.

Similar to the earlier thrown scroll this item would be summoned purely to toss at Roku, it'd be in travel made completely clear it was in fact a very dead pine tree. The male had to be pretty strong based on the force applied to throw the tree, it'd have slightly better aim than the scroll. More so due to the distance between the two clearing and the great spin done into the throw this time.

[attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Roku wouldn't make it through the parchment before the other had summoned something from the scroll, the item and the fallen yukigakure shinobi were clouded in the white smoke and the familiar scent of the unsealing almost seemed to settle Roku's nerves a little.  It wouldn't be worth much as Roku would witness another bizarre thing, the other genin had summoned something huge. With wide, dark eyes observing and scanning the cloud, small needle like objects falling here and there from the cover, it wasn't until the pine tree was hurled at him he gave up on the parchment and made a run for it to one of the large boulders.  He would utilize his water and tree walking to get up the boulder, standing on the side of the boulder and searched for the other genin, when he saw a shadow of what he assumed to be the other genin, he would throw a shuriken at the target, but then swiftly make his way down the boulder and into the snow again. He would need to do more than run if he wanted to win and make the village proud to have him.  So he would attempt to get closer to the dead pine tree, reaching into his pocket to produce a kunai and a smoke bomb, if the other saw him, then he would throw the smoke bomb to obscure him and how he would attack the pine tree's trunk and thicker branches with a few slaps, the required handseals performed as fast as he could prior, the Smoke Seal jutsu would activate and make the tree into a smoking mess. At least for a while. He'd attempt to do it three times, each time he finished it he would place two explosive tags by the smoke seal. Roku would then, if he managed to get all three seals and six explosive tags in place, make a run for the giant scroll, kunai at the ready to hack and slash at the seals there.  If he saw the other or heard the other genin approach he would abandon the seal and slap an explosive tag on instead before retreating and setting it off once the other came in close enough for him to trigger the tag and have some kind of impact on the other.  SPOILER: Click to show Water + tree walking, depending on what you need to walk on snow boulders?? It'd seem the konoha shinobi hadn't taken much interest in continuing his charge. Apparently a dead tree wasn't the item Roku felt the Yuki shinobi would have on him. Changing path from the scroll to the nearest rock, it'd become apparent to Taro the other boy didn't want a physical confrontation. It'd just give the grinning genin more time to prepare for the conflict to come, so he'd begin undoing his second scroll. As he'd stand it up though the konoha shinobi would somewhat seemingly pop-shot a kunai for the snow shinobi. It'd force him to abandon the second scroll in it's stood up position.

Taro would hop away from his item and to the side of the incoming projectile. It'd seem this item hadn't been tagged, but he couldn't assume that there weren't tags on the leafs person. Explosion notes were pretty common place, it wasn't that long ago the Iwagakure shinobi blasted a large part of this arena. Noting the lack of a tack the grinning shinobi would advance a little, but stick over their original scroll. It seemed that Roku wanted to do something with the down and dead pine tree. Cracking his knuckles, it'd excite the male extensively that Roku would pick this spot as cover.

Summoning another tree from the original scroll, he'd toss it in a manner to go over the first tree. An attempt to both crush and capture the konoha shinobi, but it'd not be thrown with such simple expectations. Instead there was more to this tree which he whipped for the other genin, it'd be the catalyst for the smirking males favorite chaos. Taking a deep breath upon release the tree, the boy would perform a single handseal. His mouth would glow with stirring embers before he'd release a furious volley of miniature fire balls across the dead tree. It'd set the thing a blaze on one side, as it'd come crashing down into the smoked out second tree. Fire unhindered likely spreading to both trees and creating a momentary massive flame, as the pine needles burned better than paper.

Using the smoke, fire or just tree's as cover Taro would remove the harness with the remaining two scrolls. They'd collide with the ground heavily and in flurry the boy would sprint off. Attempting to rush around the chaos and possibly get a flank on the konoha shinobi. If not put them in a position where he was closer and running would be harder. The ground he covered on foot, especially with the scrolls removed, was quite impressive. The boy hoped that the scrolls would cause a certain level of underestimating to his own swiftness and give him all the more element of surprise.
