Her frame immediately stands out, with her bones packed with lean muscle. Regardless of her composition, she still retains a charming feminine figure; the makings of a young woman hitting the wellspring of her youth. Her skin is predominantly of a milky coloration, her skin shows the telltale signs of her Namikaze roots being unblemished - despite a lengthy career as a kunoichi. Her slight healing factor sees her very hard to bruise and scar.[break][break] Her hair is long and comprised of straight raven-black locks that flow down to the center of her back. When in the field she normally keeps her hair split and parted to keep it away from her face. Her hair frames her soft girlish facial features. Despite nearing the end of her teenage years, Kohana keeps a very youthful facial appearance if it wasn't for her vertical reach of nearly six feet, one could easily mistake her for the budding preteen she once was.[break][break] In terms of her appearance, Kohana sports her favorite color of violet wherever she can. Her Konoha flak jacket and the wrap to her forehead protector is a properly approved alternative color to match the violet she enjoys so much. She wears a shoulder-less long sleeved dark blue shirt with a black compression sports bra underneath. Her hands are guarded with a pair of black free-finger gloves. On her lower body she wears compression shorts. There's only a slight breakage showing her thighs before the start of her over knee geta sandals begin, These sandals provide exterior protection over Kohana's legs and fit to her form as well. Strapped to her thigh is her kunai hokster, and around her waist her shinobi pouch.[break][break] Outside of her duty garb, Kohana tries to keep to the fashionable trends. However, the majority of her wardrobe consist of free flowing skirts and dresses, resonating well with her collected and comfortable demeanor. She orders a special juniper scented perfume that intertwines well with her natural scent. Kohana is unanimously described as stalwart and reliable (Though later questioned on her trustworthiness). Early in life she's never shied away from being a capable person. Her roots were ones grounded in the seriousness of responsibility. She understand that word is bond, and should be cemented in action.[break][break] Character, on the other hand, takes far longer to puzzle out. It involves traits that reveal themselves only in specific—and usually uncommon circumstance. It is truly these crucial moments in which the transparency of a person surfaces. Underneath the veneer, Kohana is a kunoichi with ironclad determination. She thrives under pressure, using her will to see her through the grandest of obstacles. Though she's physically fast, she's never the one to run away from a challenge. Instead she lowers her crown and braces herself to meet life head first.[break][break] She is a firm believer of the notion that 'iron sharpens iron'. Her biggest ambition in life is to outrun death itself, in taking this yoke she agreed to a life of strife and tribulation. There isn't a victory in which Kohana isn't willing to die for. She would be considered to be the epitome of an absolutist, living life on the line with her 'all or nothing' approach to the shinobi way. She takes the mantle of kunoichi with the a personal tenet, 'the moment my mind wavers, death has paced me.'. Her strongest jutsu is what she considers to be the jutsu of the mind. She holds a mentality that breeds a pseudo-fanatical approach to adversity. She fully believes that no matter how perilous the shinobi is, in skill and reputation - her victory is assured. Albeit her even temperament, her self-assured core oozes in her demeanor.[break][break] Kohana is a woman that knows little loyalty beyond her own self-contained purview. Though she is stringent in keeping her word, she rarely positions herself to be pledged to any cause outside of her self-interests. Her apathy and disaffected aura has led to subtle untrust towards her. Largely considered village wide to be out there only for herself, she's found her name easy to slot within the various rumors and gossip within Konoha. Some outlandish claims of her being a foreign-face-stealing spy, and that of her being a rogue ninja in the making circle around her name persistently - though with miniscule evidence to back the claims. Kohana smugly plays the role with her lack of commitment to clear her name of such slander. She figures that in a sense the village is correct, as she's only interested in her race against death itself.[break][break] Under the full lens of the microscope, Kohana's stone expression is really a well formed front. While she maintains the inward lie that she's invincible, in truth the woman is dreadfully fearful of failure. Failure would break the veneer of what she's cultivated herself to be through her entire life. Instead of being a fear that causes her the crippling affects of stalling under pressure, her fear of failure overclocks her mind, sending her into a completely reckless state - supporting her willingness to risk everything. Not willing to physically exist with the shame and stench of coming up short. (She has privately developed the nervous tic of nail biting and the occasional smoke to clear her nerves)[break][break] [attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY [attr="class","hopelovetop"] [attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]KOHANA: GAIDEN[break] [-12SD ➞ -1SD] [break]Kohana was born early into an early September morning to Senju Hoshirama and Namikaze Karemora. She came into the world an energetic and curious infant. However, she was a girl something that bore the seeds of resentment from Hoshirama. Her father, a proud Senju warrior of Konoha - believed that the might of his family's abilities wouldn't manifest in such a "weak vessel" Unimpressed, Hoshirama ventured elsewhere outside his marriage with the purpose of seeding a suitable heir for himself.[break][break] To young to recognize her own abandonment, Kohana grew up with only her mother minding after her. Her mother would constantly shower excuses for Hoshirama's absence, building the man up to be a very "busy and important" shinobi for the village. Her earliest memories of her father centered around weekends. Karemora would keep a form of limited contact with Hoshirama, still the man didn't seem too interested in the pairing.[break][break] In her early years, Kohana assumed a large mantle of responsibility around her home. It was all done in an effort to make things easier on her mother, and to display the understanding of responsibility. Only at the age of four, and she desperately wanted to prove to her mother that she could handle the work that accompanied attending the Konoha Shinobi Academy. Despite his attempts to distance himself, Kohana fed into the falsehoods her mother served. She grew a strong admiration for her father and his work. From her youngest, she wanted to be an exceptional kunoichi.[break][break] Distanced from her paternal side of the family, she grew under the purview of her mother. The Namikaze were a clan renown for their exceptional speed. It simply came by natural means to her kin. Kohana, on the other hand - she had to push the limits of her body just to keep up. Despite being outclassed in talent, Kohana's spirit never gave up on a goal, even a shorthanded goal. She pushed herself physically until she broke the needed threshold. She was a speedster, not by birth - through sheer force of will.[break][break] Her dedication to her training easily garnered her mother's respect. Kohana was quickly enrolled into the academy at the age of five. With her mother's compound residing on the outskirts of the northern wall, the academy would be the young girl's first introduction to children around her age. She'd met the offspring of the many shinobi clan's of the village. Kohana retained her father's family name, and the title of Senju came with high expectations. Upon her time in the academy she'd come across the chakra reactive paper test. In spite of her father's misconceptions Kohana showed an elemental affinity for both wood and water, a telltale sign for Mokuton. She remembered the day fondly, her father surprised her at the dinner table in elevated spirits.[break][break] Kohana's tenacity towards her education saw her graduate the academy at age seven. Since her display of Mokuton had reached her father, he'd taken a more vested interest in her development as a kunoichi. Kohana received the full familial support, as she was formally introduced to the Senju clan upon her academy graduation day. A clan elder spoke of a lyric of old Senju lore, that each clan member bore a blessed bonded tree. She was christened the Juniper Princess, a sprout yet to reach full blossom and bloom.[break][break] After her graduation, Kohana was placed on Konoha's Genin Team Five. It was a unit comprised of a sensory specialist in Aburame Koizu and a genjutsu artist named Fang Lee. Her sensei, Uzumaki Shozen was a jack of all trades, yet a very experienced shinobi in his own right. As a member of team five, Kohana would catch the full attention of her clan and the village itself. Even with an extended training regimen, Kohana never stopped working on her speed. Foregoing the ability to have a social life, Kohana's days consisted of team missions and training. She increased her calorie intake to bulk her body to bear the burdens of the shinobi lifestyle. The young Senju was on a mission. She aimed to ace the Chūnin Exams as a rookie genin. Her ambition proved to be infectious, as her team went all in on the attempt.[break][break] As she dedicated a deeper study into chakra, Kohana begins to learn her first wood style ninjutsu techniques. She proves to be inexhaustible in her efforts to learn and utilize the difficult style. Her efforts shone a light on her Senju genetics. The stamina and high volume of chakra she had at her use proved instrumental in her development. She'd need every bit of improvement, with the exams being held in Sunagakure no Sato. Team Five worked out the remained needed missions to qualify for entry into the exams. Her journey to the desert country was her first outside of Hi no Kuni. She proved to be strictly down to business, and not in it for the sight seeing and foreign cuisine. Kohana scored a passing grade on the entrance exam. Though she identified the complex questions as a true test in stealthy information gathering, she restrained herself from cheating - passing by the skin of her teeth.[break][break] The next trial showed itself to be a two week long survival mission in the great sand sea. It was here that her exam experience took a significant turn. The fellow exam participants grew ornery and ruthless. What was a survival mission with lax oversight, transitioned into a full on battle royale. Willing to fight and defend the lives of her team mates, Kohana had no qualms about getting her hands dirty and the fracas. Her freakish speed bore ruin on the sands. Her speedy moniker of Konoha's Violet Blur became well known during the trials. The end of the second round only saw six teams survive the encounter, proving the exam to be a bloodied affair.[break][break] The next round saw one-on-one combat, without the rest from the trials of the desert. Kohana was randomly paired with a Hidden Cloud shinobi named Ozoki Ringo. It was a fight that would forever changed Kohana's career as a kunoichi. The Kumo-nin naturally held an affinity for lightning release. In the midst of their encounter, Kohana found her wood style to be a perfect opposite for the shinobi's own style. However, she could feel something else stirring within her chakra reserves. It was a fleeting feeling, but for a second she felt as if she could reign in lightning itself. She fought her way to victory in the round, but she'd always show a deep appreciation to Ringo's effort.[break][break] With her semi-final round fight a month away, Kohana didn't make the trek back to Konoha for rest. Instead she took to the desert again. Using her Mokuton, she was able to forge a spartan lodge for herself. Tirelessly, she worked on unlocking her control over raiton. She harnessed the same feeling she'd experienced in her bout against Ringo. With enough time she was able to crinkle her chakra reactive paper consistently. From there her earnings as a kunoichi would play a vital role. She emptied her coin purse in purchase of educational scrolls. Her intent was to add the surprise of raiton to her arsenal come her next fight. She'd utilized her remaining time in honing her ability to manipulate lightning.[break][break] Her training proved effective as her new element proved to be a useful surprise, one that saw her eliminate her Semi-Final opponent, and ultimately clinch a passing examination for herself. Despite a full field of shinobi and kunoichi years her senior, she returned home with a Konoha flak jacket waiting for her, as well as a new rank. Her promotion ceremony was small, but too her liking it featured a familial feeling return as her parents stomached their mutual disdain for each other in treating Kohana to a big celebratory dinner.[break][break] After the exams, Kohana had some downtime to spend before her next career step. Being a very competent kunoichi, her services were requested among many operational teams in the Hidden Leaf. However, the combination of her freakish speed and jutsu catalog proved to be seen as invaluable. She was tapped for one of the village's most elite units. Once her leave ended she'd resume work as a member of Konoha's ANBU.[break][break] [attr="class","hopelovetitle2"]LIFE IN MID-BLOOM: POP GOES THE WEASEL[break] [2SD ➞ 6SD] [break]She was given the identification of "Weasel" in the ANBU, and a mask to match. While she knew that the ANBU wasn't the most prolific division to work with, it would be the most challenging. the ANBU division was a whole different world to what Kohana had experienced as a ninja. While there was secrecy and stealth in her genin days, the ANBU had its own unbreakable code of silence. She'd went from being able to break down her mission logs step by step, to keeping her family in the dark.[break][break] Regardless of her new working conditions, Kohana thrived as a member of the team. With her time of service seeing her rank up to that of a Special Jonin, being trusted with high priority missions and much responsibility. Using her betters as examples and training partners, she was able to further develop in her abilities. Her grasp of raiton grew so strong, she discovered a rare variation to the element as a whole. The concept of her strongest (and her signature) techniques were formed in the ANBU and continuously field tested. Despite the growth and progression, Kohana would experience her first taste of dissatisfaction with her work. While she was a dutiful warrior, she could feel certain elements of the job grating at her psyche.[break][break] Going into her early teens, Kohana began to feel as if she'd bypassed some many crucial life experiences, all in favor of putting her training and missions first. Though living a life she'd always dreamed of, the young Senju began to have the lingering sense of regret creep upon her. After the completion of a lengthy campaign of subterfuge abroad, Kohana placed in a notice of leave, intent on using the time to sort out her emotions and decipher what she she believed she was missing in her life. Seeing the examples left by her parents, Kohana began to understand that she was in desperate need of a life outside of being a kunoichi.[break][break] As happy as she was being a ninja, she knew the career was something that wouldn't last. Her speed would one day wind itself down, and allow the new youth of the village to zoom ahead of where her journey had ended. In her leave, she'd placed a bulk of her time at the Senju compound. Where she used to come strictly for the training and quality time with her father, Kohana arrived with a new mission to complete. She decided to utilize her accomplishments and skills to set a good example for her sprouting cousins and kin of the Senju. She applied her free time into helping out around the compound, and building up her own personal reputation within the clan.[break][break] Her request of leave was transitioned into a full transfer. Kohana felt that she'd had enough wearing the Weasel mask. In her time off she'd grown to revere working with the youth of her clan. Being proactive upon the situation, Kohana spent a full two years as a volunteer instructor at the Konoha academy. It felt odd being back to where her journey first took off, but it also felt very right for where she wanted to be in life. She was primarily serviced as a physical education instructor, helping the kids get active and in shape for the rigors that awaited their progression as ninja.[break][break] Presently she's put an end to her second year as an instructor at the academy. Never one for idleness, Kohana took the next step in requesting to lead her own genin squad. After a season of recommendation gathering, board reviews, and supplementary testing - Kohana was approved by her Hokage and ninja council, with the responsibility of leading and molding the young shinobi of Konoha's Genin Team One.[break][break] [attr="class","hopelove"]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]FIGHTING STYLE [attr="class","hopelovetop"] Kohana's primary objective is to out speed and out maneuver her opposition. She uses her natural gift of high velocity running to always find and press for better positioning. Her runs usually lead up to the execution of her signature Hell Stab technique. This jutsu can prove to be considerably lethal when she makes a surgical strike.[break][break] Alternatively, she uses her speed as an opening for some taijutsu as well. Though she hasn't been educated with any particular discipline or style, she improvises by relying on her sheer speed to supplement her lack of form. While she's not rated highly among bukijutsu users, Kohana has decent aim when throwing her kunai and shuriken. She knows well enough when to utilize aspects outside of her jutsu and physicality.[break][break] She's can be crafty and a struggle to deal with. She relies upon misdirection with her speed and agility. A great hand-eye coordination can see her weave signs in a blink. Her greatest hope is that her Mokuton will soon manifest itself into a level of power comparable to what she's accomplished with Raiton. [attr="class","hopelovetitle"]SPECIAL ABILITIES [attr="class","hopelovetop"] [attr="class","hopelovetitle2"] In her early youth, Kohana managed to "reclaim her birthright" in stealing and surgically implanting one of her father's sharingan eyes. Now supplemented with the ultimate power of the Uchiha, Kohana has received the boons associated with wielding the eye. She see's chakra in its base form, differentiating signatures based on color and volume. She also has a superior passive and reactive visual instinct, with the eye being able to monitor even the most subtle of motions and muscle twitches.[break][break] Through the access of the second tomoe, Kohana can utilize her eye as an enhanced medium in casting genjutsu. She gains the ability to utilize specific genjutsu techniques designed for the sharingan, creating powerful illusions and navigating the surface level subconscious thought of those mesmerized by her hypnotic eye.[break][break] With the third and final tomoe, Kohana has the ability to copy techniques her eye can see being performed before her. Honing in on the hand seals needed, Kohana sees and retains a perfect sense of timing, hand placement, and seal performance - and she's able to replicate it with ease, copying non-elemental, and elemental jutsu of which her known elemental natures align. She can even replicate gait and stance, copy-catting even entire taijutsu fighting styles as she sees more and more of its associated techniques that she's physically capable of performing.[break][break]For all of her supplements, usage of the eye requires much in return. The drain on her chakra is higher on techniques that require use of her sharingan. Because the eye was surgically implanted, there's no natural phenomena or inclination for the eye to deactivate itself. This forces Kohana to find ways to conceal her eye.[break][break] [break]SHARINGAN - 3 TOMOE[break][KKG: DOJUTSU][break] [attr="class","hopelovetitle2"] Kohana's prodigious mastery over the lightning element of chakra has allowed her to tap into frequencies much deeper than standard lightning. With her deepened chakra reserves she has uncapped the ability to significantly increase the voltage yield when agitating her chakra to manifest lightning, producing Raiton: Shiden.[break][break] [break]THE ART OF FREQUENCY[break][ENHANCED RAITON: SHIDEN][break] Not every raiton user has the power to invigorate their lighting to this limit. Once she pushes her lightning into a higher frequency it takes on a purple aspect in color. The heavier workload of joules in her Shiden sees the discharges potential to move at a greater rate of speed. Kohana has the ability to produce a latent coat of Shiden to amplify the voltage of her other Raiton techniques.[break][break] [attr="class","hopelovetitle2"] This asset is a result of her Senju heritage and natural blessings. Kohana houses a massive yield of chakra in her being. She has always been considered far an above her peers, in her ability to train for absurd lengths of time, and her tireless performance of jutsu. As a young girl she held an amount of chakra comparable to a hardened adult shinobi.[break][break]   [break]THE ART OF EXCESS[break][ABUNDANCE OF CHAKRA RESERVES][break] As of now, her estimated amount of reserves sees her match experienced and accomplished shinobi. Earning the nickname of Konoha's Violet Blur was no small feat to accomplish. Kohana's speed has been handcrafted and fine tooled to be the premier feature of her kunoichi skills.
