DESCRIPTION: Another form of the rare ice naturally created deep within the caves that share the same name. Dyed a deep onyx due to black volcanic salt from the natural hot springs, the ice spends decades thawing and refreezing in a unique way that makes the final product stronger than steel. While visually identical to the ice used in Yukigakure constructions, the structural integrity of this particular material is flawed. While it is incredibly strong, these batches of ice were found to have flaws that make them significantly weaker than true Black Ice. It is unable to go through the treatment process to bring out all its potential without shattering and cannot be carved any further down from the giant block form without cracking. But due to its natural strength and chakra repelling abilities, the Leader of Yukigakure came up with the idea to give the flawed Black Ice to their allies. Not telling them of the flaw, of course. Even flawed, it's still an incredible building material. Stronger than any common steel with the ability to repel weaker chakra based attacks. Of course, Yukigakure does know a way to destroy these blocks of ice rather quickly, but they have no desire to share that information with anyone but themselves...as insurance. ABILITIES: Chakra Repelling One of the characteristics that makes Black Ice so valuable is its ability to repel chakra when treated by the carving masters of Yukigakure. While not on par with true Black Ice, the flawed form does have natural repelling abilities, able to push back against any form of chakra of average rank and below. Due to this, it makes scaling constructs made from the material nigh impossible with the use of common wall walking techniques. Almost Indestructible Due to the unique environmental situation within the caves of Kuroi Kōri, the black ice walls have spent centuries thawing and refreezing and slowly becoming harder and harder with each cycle. When they are harvested, the blocks of ice have become harder than stone and steel. Due to the flaw in this particular ice, it isn't anywhere near as strong as the ice used in Yukigakure, but it is still rather tough. Regular weaponry, and even weaker chakra enhanced weapons, won't make a scratch on the ice, but it is able to be broken after a decent amount of time under assault from stronger weaponry or jutsu.

Hiya-kō OWNER: Yukigakure RANK: B CLASSIFICATION: Supplementary ELEMENT: N/A RESTRICTIONS: Can only be obtained from Yukigakure. DESCRIPTION: A rare form of metal ingot dug up from deep within the Yukigakure mines. The metal is near black in color with veins of silver running through it that remain even after being tempered and formed. It is a close second when compared to the coveted Ranmantaru Steel though it doesn't quite measure up. It can be formed to make near any form of weaponry and give anything made from it a better edge against conventional iron or steel weaponry.
