It wasn't too often that Sanosuke got time off to do these kinds of things anymore. Especially after what transpired on his mission with Kazuki. There was a lot of things he needed to learn and work on to become a better Shinobi, but now wasn't the time to beat himself up about that, or even worry about his work. Being here at the exams was all about supporting his Ally, and lover Yoshiko.

Despite how busy the two of them were they did well to keep in contact with one another as much as one could in their field, and as of a few months back he heard from her that her entire Genin team would be entering the exams. It was majorly impressive that she managed to raised and strengthen her students Shinobi prowess in the time she had been with her so quickly.

He could only hope to be a beacon for future Amegakure Genin like she was, but that wasn't something he was interested in doing until he was much later in his career. He still had much to learn, and while he had become a formidable fighter he still needed a lot work in terms of how he guided his peers. Nonetheless, the exams so far had been extremely impressive in his opinion. Definitely more rigorous than his own Exams. He wondered if Yuki was trying to make a statement with this.

If they were he felt as though they were doing a great job at showcasing whatever it is they were trying. They were no major, or accidental casualties, and the methods they used to showcase how ready these genin were was great. Kiri and Iwa was definitely doing a great job so far, but Sanosuke would be lying if he didn't mention how impressed he was with Konoha, and Taki even.

However his focus was mostly still on Yoshikos team of Genin. Ryoko, Suikazura, and Sayua were the names he was given by her. They were all pretty special and had skills that he never seen before, or even heard of. Ryoko used chakra strings like a puppet user, Sayua had medical skills and serious sniper skills of a bow, and Suika had a strange ability that allowed her to literally split herself.

The later of which had him on edge the entire fight. Even his Byakugan couldn't tell them apart in terms of how legitimate the split was. Nevertheless, he was here to watch the second round of the finals. Most of which had already ended.

Pride in her Pride

Yoshiko wouldn't be coming to the exams under any high official business. It was her teams turn to try their hand at chuunin promotions. Her whole team too had made it to the final round of the exams too. To say she was excited was an understatement, but to look her in the eye and see it was harder to tell. She'd always kept a look of utmost joy upon her face, at this point it was basically her normal and concentrated look.

Though Sanosuke would likely be able to pick up on the swaying emotions in the young woman. Her hand intertwined with his own since the start of the day, as they'd be seated next to each other watching the event from above. Yoshiko pulled some strings to be front row after all. Words mostly shared between the rounds, she'd be so focused on her genin's performance. She had a strong belief in all of them and honestly felt all of them were performing pretty amazingly. Though she'd tighten her grip when they got into trouble or hurt. Her thumb swaying in circles over the top of her loves palm when they'd do good.

An almost lifelessness to her hand in moments of suspense, as her heart kept a mostly calm rate. When the fights weren't going on though, she'd take a much more relax position. Resting her head against Sanosuke's shoulder and letting out soft hums of at the interesting points of fights. It was nice to not be busy and to be under no real pressure. She wore a very casual dress and kept herself without anything in the form of flashy accessories. She just wanted to be another nameless civilian among the many in the crowd.

Things wrapping up finally, Yoshiko would need to know. "So what do you think of my little genin, Sanosuke-kun?" She'd ask with a slight squeeze of her hand around his. Her head turning to face his, so they could look eye to eye. A clear twinkle in her gaze, as she'd have a deep sense of pride. Sayua and Ryoko winning a fight each and bowing out of their other fights at pivotal points to avoid unnecessary damage. While Suikazura managed to hold her own in the thickest of situations, it was harsh to hear the scores go against her student. However Suikazura was the only one to consistently keep the fight going until the buzzer. A show of truly phenomenal endurance, albeit a bit of show to stubbornness too.

It was hard to deny the many thoughts roaming in Sanosukes head as a result of watching each of her students fight. Because of his relationship with Akemi he considered many times the possibility of maybe leading a group of Genin of his own. Of course later on down the line once he accomplished other feats, but it was still a thought nonetheless. However, after watching the many changes his lover went through after each match did start to leave an impression.

Maybe not a negative one, but definitely a lot more things to consider given the emotional implications of having students. There was always that chance they could die during a mission. There was no way after that you'd even be remotely close to being yourself afterward. The same could be said for any of them dying in the exams. Not only would you lose someone dear to you, but you'd have to think about how that might fall back on you down the road. Career wise that is. Who'd take your training and methods seriously after that? But this was Yoshiko we were talking about.

Through each and every change she underwent he'd do whatever was necessary to keep her sane, although, he was starting to have a hard time himself, but he did well to hide his own anxiety. With her having so much more experience than himself what could he possibly tell her if things actually went south? Fortunately she did well to make sure they could handle themselves, and with each passing match he'd enjoy as much of her lovely affection as he could.

Every moment with her was like being a VIP Shinobi. Especially with her pretty sizable reputation in her village and in others. Yet still, Not even for a moment did she ever give him a reason to question her love for him. Even in moments like this. Being here was all about supporting her and her Genin team and yet she still made him feel like in everyway that he was apart of her life. It was such an amazing feelings.

"What do I think? Well... Hm.. Outside of the many internal heart attacks given to me by watching this I'd say your group is extremely talented.. The kind of characters you'd see in a Manga or something. I've can't remember the last time I've seen a group this special... And that's just speaking on their unique abilities. In terms of how they've been performing? Outstanding."

"Definitely a positive reflection on their Sensei. So not only are you the most beautiful, most powerful Shinobi I've met, but you're also creating a bright future for you're Village.. You might have to retire tomorrow with all these accomplishments."

The latter obviously being a joke, but with everything she'd done so far he couldn't believe their was still so much for her to do. Sanosuke could only hope that he could find a way to do the things she'd done for her village for his own. All he had to do was keep working hard and hopefully, he'd be able to accomplish half of what shes done already.
