Man Has no Harbour, Time Has no Shore

Mission Rank: C

NPC Required: No(unless someone wants, though it's not required)

Random Mission Scenario: Enabled

Participants:
Gure Yuuta.
Description:
Chaos reigned along the coast of Hi no Kuni, in the distance a billowing cloud of ominous black smoke and flames rose into the air. A burning harbor collapsing into the ocean, the coastal city ablaze with intense flares of various colors. The air tasted of tar, its smell a rich combination of burnt flesh and wood. Screams could be heard in the distance as the civilians either burnt to death or narrowly escaped… the bodies of those less fortunate littered the street. By the time morning came it was clear the Port town had been attacked, by who? Well that was still to be discovered… In the wake of the destruction along Hi no Kuni Coast, shinobi from the Hidden Leaf have been dispatched to investigate the incident and search for survivors buried beneath scorched debris. The culprits were long gone by now; the attack… quick and decisive.

Among the deployed shinobi were Gure Yuuta, Hidden Leaf Jounin, scholar of the battlefield and Konoha's resident strategist. Many of the shinobi that converged upon the former Port Village were split into groups, with each having different objectives. Yuuta's official objective was to help the search and rescue initiative. However… Yuuta had also given himself a personal objective. He planned to utilize his skills to investigate the cause of the destruction. His hopes were to uncover the motive and hopefully, the culprit; the latter of which would be nearly impossible for the average shinobi due to the evidence destroying fire and whatever preparations the attackers made. While the chance of evidence surviving the blaze was slim at best. Yuuta planned to use his unique proclivity to thoroughly comb the area and place himself within the attackers mind. Becoming a shinobi "profiler".

Losing civilians in distress or danger due to debris results in the mission's failure; of course. Injuries inflicted by the environment can occur and could prove temporarily debilitating; lasting several weeks. Encountering enemy shinobi is highly unlikely; however according to the history scrolls anything could happen… This is the Shinobi World after all.
