After the last mission she went on with Shodaime and Akihiko, there were more questions left than answers. The group figured that taking them out early on might cause some problems going forward with how they operated. It wasn't no more than a week or so that went by before new intel was put out about the Blood Heralds. The group was not only causing havoc on routes between their countries again, but they were doing it at a much higher rate.

The new intel provided spoke of them having more people than last time, and all of them seem to have a rather odd appearance. They were even more pale than before, and their veins were black. It was almost as if they were not even human. She wondered if the head of their organization had created some sort of power sirem because they were said to be much stronger than they were during their last encounter. Hence, why this mission was considered to be a B rank instead.

Akihiko badly wanted to come along, but because of his rank and lack of experience he was not allowed to. She continue working with him as much as she could so that he could get promoted, but that wouldn't be for awhile now. Again, the mission was to be lead by Shodaime, and because of Akihiko not being able to come along it was decided that another village would be added to the joint task. Arashi, who was her mentor when it came to her Jinchuuriki training and studies.

She had not gotten the chance to see her in awhile, but they were able to catch up on the progress she had made via her request. It was really awesome to have a friend and teacher like herself who understood what it was that she was having to go through. She looked forward to seeing her in combat along side Shodaime who was definitely a badass herself. The journey to get to the gates of the village of Konoha would be long, about a day and a half to be exact, but she managed to get there on time.

She looked forward to seeing Arashi and Shodaime whenever she got there. Hmmm, I wonder what it's going to be like when we get there. It's hard to imagine that with such a formidable group that we'll encounter any problems. Kiho tried to remain humble, but the thought of them letting the opposition get the better of them was hard to imagine. Shodaime could see anything, literally anything, and Arashi was practically a god of Shinobi. At least in her opinion.

Hmm, well, so long as I don't have to step in then I'm happy. I'd rather this mission be an easy one, even if it's one that has untold dangers. If they are sucking out blood from people then there is no telling what else they can do.. I'd stay cautious.

"I guess you have a good point there.. I wouldn't want there to be any complications were yourself and Shukaku are at risk."

Jumping head first into an operation was never something that came easy. For one thing, you had to inform yourself of the events that happened before and be sure to be on the same page as the team involved. Not to mention, meeting up with people to get every bit of intel that you could in order to be sure that you didn't get in the way. For Arashi to come in to assist, it meant that she had to do a lot of homework, especially after just coming back from a mission of her own. If she didn't know any better, she'd say someone was trying to keep her busy... Coming up to the gate, her eyes narrowed as she could Konohagakure getting closer. The distance was never an issue when you could fly, but she honestly wasn't sure what to expect when it came down to how the team would work together. So far, the only familiar name she knew was Kiho. That was somewhat of a relief, but she had no idea about the Jounin in charge. She was the medical head within the village and she was also Hyuga. Given her experience with the clan, she wasn't much of a fan. Especially when one of them was intent on killing her during her exams. Still, not everyone was the same, so it was possible that she lucked out and would not get a demented commanding officer. That would be a plus. Touching down across the surface of the ground, she'd allow her dust cloud to settle back into her gourd, prompting her to walk forward with ease in a single motion. It was enough to make her smirk to herself as she perhaps was better at flying now than Yoshi. "Ten point landing..." As long as you didn't crash... Shukaku's comments aside, she would make her way over to the gate, stopping short as she figure now she had to wait. So far, it didn't look like anyone had gotten to the meeting point yet. At least that let her review the information upon the scroll, prompting her to lean back against a wall as she unrolled the parchment in her hand. "Blood heralds....sound like a blast..." It had been almost a week since Shodaime, Kiho and Akihiko had taken down the Blood Heralds along the routes in Hi No Kuni. Not even a week later, the three would receive reports that they had returned but with a more different appearance. They were even more pale than before and had visible black veins. Not only had they continued to cause havoc on the routes in the country but they were doing it faster than before. This was extremely concerning, Shodaime had hoped that it would at least be over for a few months, but they regrouped quicker than she had hoped.

Shodaime was the second person to arrive at the gate, having gathered supplies for the mission that awaited them. As she arrived at the gate she would see a new person she hadn't met yet, Arashi. She had remembered her name from the mission details on the scroll she had obtained before heading out. As she arrived at the gate she would great the new person.

"You must be Arashi, my name is Hyuga, Shodaime, I'll be one of your squadmates on this mission we're undertaking." Shodaime would say holding out her hand to shake Arashi's. She always liked meeting and working with new people, especially different villages. It allowed her to form bonds and alliances with different villages.

It seemed like at best, she was going to be in third place. From afar she could spot something floating in the air, and not anything that resembled an insect or a bird for that matter. Kiho had seen the Suna Shinobi travel enough times to know that it was them flying through the air. She wondered if there was a chance she might have spotted her, but with all the trees in the way she figured that it wasn't likely.

When she finally arrived to the gates it seemed like Shodaime had already gotten there before she did as well. "Damn, I thought I'd get here before everyone else." Kiho muttered before she made her presence known by waving her hand out to the group. The team they had assembled for this mission was extremely solid, and if any of those blood whatever's that decided to take them on were definitely going to be on their last days.

She imagined they might let one of them live long enough just so they could provide some intel on where there operation was located. For them to have been beat no more than a week ago they seemed to have recovered fast. Too fast in her opinion. Not to mention the sudden increase in power. These groups was becoming more and more suspicious by the second. "I see you two are already in the works of introducing yourselves."

Kiho stated just before posing with one hand on her hips. She was definitely the only person in the group that had known the other so an introduction was not needed for them to proceed. Once the two of them got the chance to exchange words with one another, Kiho would take the opportunity to get any conversation that needed to be had about the mission underway.

"Well, do any of us have any questions about this mission, or are you guys as surprised and confused as I am as to how these bandits managed to get ahold of so much power... Weird ones at that."

The arrival of Shodaime did leave for a moment of pause. With Arashi looking the woman over briefly, she'd smile politely as she accepted the hand. Mentally, she was thinking that she didn't look crazy, so that was a good sign. At the mention of them going through this mission together, Arashi would pull her hand away slowly after the exchange, placing her back once more against the wall as she replaced the scroll once more within her pouch. "Should be fun...I mean...never run into blackened bandits before...but if what in the reports are true, their gonna be a problem for everyone soon enough..." Something like this always had a habit of starting small. From there, it only got bigger and bigger. It was likely the reason why these three allied nations had been summoned to send their own to investigate and deal with it. Thankfully, the first step was mostly taken care of. With Kiho seeming to finally arrive as well, stating how she had hoped she'd be the first to arrive, Arashi would flash her a toothy grin, prompting her fist to be held up for a bump before hearing her comment on how both Arashi and Shodaime had introduced themselves. "Pretty much...the awkward silence...the stare off...ya should have gotten here sooner...way epic..." Gesturing with her hand, Kiho would then ask if anyone had any opinions or questions before they took off, causing Arashi to hold up her hand as she then pushed herself from her posted position. "I for one am...if these guys managed to find an artifact or a forbidden jutsu, that might actually explain it...if not that then...well...worse case its a mix of both..." Shrugging her shoulders, she didn't want to state a third possibility. Mostly because there was little reason for it to hold truth. After all, she hadn't heard of any Tailed beast being on the loose, and if so, they weren't exactly hard to spot. Essence of the demons had been known to influence some in the past, but those records were few and far in between. "What exactly were they doing the last time ya guys ran into them?" Shodaime was happy to see Kiho again. After the last mission, she was able to give her and Akihiko a tour around Konohagakure, allowing them to take in the sights and food of the village. She felt she got to know the two better and was glad she was able to work with at least 1 of the 2 she had worked with before on this mission. Arashi though, there was something different about her. Unlike Kiho who was amazed by Shodaime, Arashi seemed hesitant to be around her, especially when she mentioned that they would be working together on the mission. She wondered if there was a bias towards her or her clan, maybe there was something else entirely she didn't like.

"Glad you could join us, Kiho." Shodaime would say with a small laugh and a grin. "Didn't expect to work with you again so soon."

Shodaime would then go back to being focused about the mission at hand. It was concerning that the Blood Heralds were suddenly able to reform so quickly. It took them less than a week to come back together and to start terrorizing trade routes again. Even more concerning was the rate attacks were happening and the description of the attackers. People with extremely pale skin and visible black veins lined their bodies.

"The Blood heralds coming back so soon is concerning. The last time we encountered them a week ago, they were setting up an ambush along a trade route. We were able to easily eliminate them. I just didn't expect them back so soon. I figured it would take at least a few months before they were able to regroup." Shodaime would explain to Arashi, who asked what the Blood Heralds were doing when they had encountered them last mission.

"Me neither Shodaime, but I most certainly look forward to working with you again."

Kiho was definitely curious as to why there might have been an awkward silence between the two of them. From the looks of it, the two never actually met before so why was there silence? The Chuunin internal did some comparison and contrast between her meeting of the two. Shodaime was very much an open book, extremely polite, and helpful with just about anything. She seemed very confident and had no issues trying to take over when needed.

Kiho could definitely argue the same for Arashi, the only different just seem to be their style of communication. The Suna Shinobi was just as open and easy to talk to as Shodaime was. The girl was extremely powerful and had gone through a lot to get to where she was, so it was hard to imagine that their encounter was awkward. For the time being Kiho wouldn't try to invest so much time into thinking about that. The most important part was the willingness to work together.

When the two begin responded to her question Arashi added the possibility of a forbidden jutsu being used, or even an artifact. Either could explain why these people would have the ability to drain the blood from someone in the manner that they had before, and why these new faces had such an odd appearance. If a clan like this existed, she would have thought the world as a whole would have some kind of intel on them, but this group seemed to be popping out new powers every week.

Shodaime also expressed concerned over their quick recovery as well while explaining what occurred on their last mission together. "Yeah, not to mention the mess they left behind on our way there, gross." Kiho added while giving the other the opportunity to say what ever they needed to say. If there wasn't much left to talk about the group could finally head on their way to figuring out what this group was up to.

Arashi's eyes would continue to shift from one face to the next, hearing the details of their previous encounter with the group and how things had proceeded from their. While the concern was the sudden renewal of their band after having been left with defeat, it seemed the real worry was still the fact that they had managed to come back period. From the way Kiho made it sound, the beating they had gotten was quite brutal. It was no less bad as what these men had done before they had arrived to stop them, prompting the dark haired female to close her eyes as she sighed. "So we got a group of high powered bandits that are now doing what? Increasing their attacks on the trading routes? I figured they might go bigger...ya know? Raid a village or...try and attack a world leader...low ambition if so..." It was more or less a hope that it could be that straight forward, of course there was never such a thing on missions of this kind. If anything, there was a good chance that it may be far worse. If so, then it was important that they get underway, prompting the Sunagakure nin to raise her brow as she looked over toward Shodaime with a calm expression. "So whats the plan? We scout ahead? Look across the scene where the intel came from?" By all intent and purposes, Shodaime was the leading shinobi on this assignment. Not to mention that Arashi honestly wanted to learn a bit more about just what they were up against before she started trying to make judgement calls in all this. It wasn't as though she didn't trust the woman. So far she'd been nothing less than pleasant. If was just the fact that she had not been on the first assignment and had no real repour with her as of yet. Her own experience with the Hyuga clan aside, she was being practical. "Yea it's kinda weird, it's like they're stuck doing what they were previously doing. You would think they would go bigger." Shodaime would say agreeing with Arashi's observation. It was weird that they would go back to doing what the originally were doing, She thought they would go bigger if they were able to reform so quickly. It was extremely concerning, especially because the group was getting more and more violent. She wondered if their new appearance had something to do with the increase in attacks.

"I think the best course of action would be reconnaissance in the area that the intel came from. Maybe we'll be able to find clues to what is going on. If we're lucky maybe we'll find one of the Blood Heralds to interrogate." Shodaime would explain to the two shinobi. She knew they needed to get all the facts before rushing into a situation. She hoped they would be able to capture one of the Blood Heralds to interrogate, would make their job easier and get a better understanding of the situation they were dealing with. She didn't want the team rushing into the mission without learning all the facts first, that's usually how shinobi got killed out on missions.

There was a lot of thoughts floating in the Chuunin's mind after both Shodaime and Arashi noted that their goals seemed to be pretty small. Kiho also agreed with what they said, but thinking about it only brought about the potential of more issues later on down the line. What if there was more to this group than just cutting off supply routes? There had to be, there was no other way she could think of on how they would have regrouped so quickly.

Not to mention how they seemed to come back stronger and more formidable than before. Kiho in the meantime would just shake the idea until they actually found out what was going on. Kiho expected that this time around there would be more answers to find than questions versus their last experience. Nevertheless, when Arashi asked about their plan going forward, Shodaime went along with the reconnaissance idea much like last time, but this time, they were going to be taking a hostage with them.

"Sounds good to me."

Kiho responded with a head nod before heading out of the gates with the rest of the group. With Shodaime coming along they would have the benefit of being able to spot the enemy well before the opposition would have the chance to know they were there. Kiho wished Kumogakure had Hyuuga of their own, she couldn't imagine how useful they would be on the kind of missions ANBU went on. Just thinking about that though had her curious if Konoha's had any Hyuuga on it.

"Lets get to it...blackened bandits aren't gonna get themselves...well...I kinda wish they did anyway..." Shrugging her shoulders, the Suna-nin would follow behind the two, her senses already on alert as she made sure to be aware of her surroundings. It would help knowing the kind of scent to be on the look-out for, but if they were burned, she could trace the odor of burned flesh. Not the most pleasant thought, but it was an option. In the end, it looked as though the mission, or at least the start of it, was to find the location of these individuals and potentially take one of them for questioning. A solid plan, but often bandits weren't the most reliable sources. Not to mention the most talkative. If anything, they might get at least a glimpse into their mindset. What would cause people to take on such power and lose their minds? If they even still had awareness, would they be able to understand them? Perhaps it was a hive mind? Or maybe something far more daunting. Or maybe I need to lay off the late night movie showings in the village... Either way, they would not know anything until they got there, and clearly Shodaime and Kiho would know. She just had to be ready to contain them, which would be simple. Or so she hoped. "Alright then let's head out." Shodaime would say as she would begin to walk out of the village gates, heading to the location that the intel spoke of. Shodaime didn't know exactly what they would find at the intel location, but she was sure she wouldn't like it, judging from the last time they faced the blood heralds. The last time she had faced them, there were bodies drained of blood hanging from the trees, probably from whoever was traveling along the route. It was a disgusting sight to behold, one so disgusting that she remembered that Akihiko almost got sick from it.

"I'm not exactly sure what we'll find at the location the intel said, but I might have a small idea. The last time we faced them, they had drained the bodies of travelers along the routes of their blood and strung them up on trees. It was such a barbaric thing to do. These bandits have no respect for the dead." Shodaime would explain to Arashi, she figured Kiho remembered all of this from the last time they went out on the mission. It would be a while before the trio would arrive at the intel location, hopefully the plan they have to face the Blood Heralds would work out when they arrived there.

Kiho very much so agreed with Arashi. It would have been nice for them to simply just end themselves, but the world did not always operate that easily. There were always going to be people in the world that looked to bring out the worst in others. No matter how hard you try you just ended up with the Hydra affect. It doesn't matter how many times you take them out, there's always going to be two more heads ready to replace it.

In translation that could connect to those who are directly affected by people like the one that they are after, and as a result of what they saw, or what they had to go through become the very thing they hate. Trying to fight fire with fire, and that only lead to more fire. A career like this was one was an exhausting one, but the most you could ever hope for is to build a platform powerful enough to keep those who try to do wrong at bay.

Nevertheless, the three continued their journey in search of finding out what exactly was going on. On the way there Shodaime went out of their way to note some of the things they encountered last time as a means to give Arashi an idea on what to expect. It was definitely not the kind of site you wanted to see, and it was unfortunate that Akihiko had to see such a thing, but that was the nature of the job they had chose.

"They really don't.. Lets just hope this time around that we are able to get there before they are able to pull of the same act again.. This time for sure we are going to find out what's really going on."

Arashi would nod as she continued to move behind the ground, her eyes narrowed as she focused and took in the information. It was usually the easiest way for her to retain it, rather than simply asking question after question. While Arashi may have acted as if she was unwilling to do things, or simply held a lack luster attitude in most events, the truth was that she was indeed highly intelligent. Putting pieces together with little clues was no real challenge. Though she was concerned about the comment made of these individuals stringing up drained bodies of people and hanging them up on trees symbolically. Religious reasoning? I ain't ever hurt of a group that does that...or at least don't leave the bodies hanging around. If I wasn't crazy, I'd say the Jashin, but there was no reports of them being in the area or signs pointing to them either... With their travels taking them further into the woods, Arashi would stop short as she began to sniff the air. Her eyes narrowed briefly before she began to get low to the ground. "We're not alone anymore....further out...I'm getting hints of blood and smoke...How far are we from the intel location?" Looking over in Shodaime area, the girl would take on a more serious expression as she began to adjust her gourd across her shoulders, summoning sand from it's opening as she began to extended it outward as if it were a wave. The splintering particles would break and keep moving outward, sensing out the area while hitting blockades of tree, still flying in the formation of their wielder. If there was something out here, they were going to find out one way or another. The question remained if they would find the source before it found them in the process. Enhanced Smell Somehow, Arashi has gained an enhanced sense of smell. It appears that she’s been hanging around dogs for too long and has obtained a sense of smell that rivals that of a blood hound. In reality, she has simply discovered that by channeling some chakra to her nose she can enhance the cells within it and gain a super sense of smell that may act as a sensor and tracking technique. She can smell out strangers, steel and various other things. Arashi may retract her chakra from her nose as well to make her sense of smell return to normal. Due in most regards to her heavily enhanced sense of smell, With her continued usage of this ability, she has now become capable of near passively monitoring the exact range of a target and their positioning within 250 meters. (Able to turn "off and on" this enhanced sense at the 'prick' of chakra to her nose) Will of Sand Will of Sand- Adding the element of her own chakra into the mixture of sand, Arashi is capable of faster and stronger sand manipulation and attacks. The extent of this control is due to the supply gathered within her gourd, granting the bonus of power, but limited to only the amount contained within it. This ability makes her constructions more dense and harder to break down, and the swiftness of their creation is instant rather than requiring the prior time of build-up as before due to the strengthened bond between Arashi and Shukaku. Sand Control Arashi is granted two forms of defense by the Ichibi. The first one is a subconscious ability granted by the Bijuu is that there is constantly a barrier of sand clinging to Arashi’s skin. This barrier acts as a shield against her skin, absorbing heavy blows and protecting her. Her sand defense is very tough, being very difficult to break through. The sand has been likened to steel and concrete. The second form is one which pulls sand from her surroundings and the sand piled on her skin to form a visible barrier and dome like barrier around her. The sand is typically pulled from the ground and any nearby source. Arashi’s various dogs often have a plentiful amount of sand carried in their thick coats. As such, the sand is often pulled from their coats to be used to protect the girl. Through the course of her training, Arashi has learned to control both of these forms of defense to a degree, making her much more capable of mounting a defense in a variety of ways. But she still at times must incumbent some cooperation from Shukaku to ensure of it's sustainability. Arashi can control sand and wind around herself to whip up sandstorms with powerful gusts. The sandstorm often appears when she’s emotionally strained and damaged. If there is no sand around her, powerful breezes will still gather around her. Shukaku enjoys teasing the girl to the point where sandstorms appear. But with the course of time, Arashi had grown more comfortable with this and developed a thick skin towards such actions by the Bijuu. While Arashi had previous had little to no control over her other sand related abilities, she has a somewhat capable hand at this one. Because of the trauma of her sand attacking her classmates at a young age, Arashi has managed to reign in some of this power. Learning to bend the sand to her will, Arashi can keep it from hurting those she doesn’t want it to hurt. Sand will be gathered from nearby sources to be used as a weapon when this ability activates. This ability typically only activates when Arashi is in severe danger, but it has now become possible for her to do so with ease. Though it is more prone to activating near or on full moons. The sand takes the form of blunt objects or tendrils to bash or choke enemies. During moments of extreme strain, Arashi loses all control over this ability as well. -Jutsu Used- NAME: Sunano Senshingu[ Sand Sensing] RANK: B CHAKRA USAGE: Low CLASSIFICATION: Ninjutsu ELEMENT: Jiton DESCRIPTION: By dispersing chakra enhanced sand into a specific area, the user is able to discern the presence of bodies that come into direct contact with it. This sensing sand can be spread across a wide terrain of 100 feet, or even float in the air allowing aerial foes to be detected for an extended range of 150 feet due to it's lack of being stationary. Once the sand comes in contact with a person, it will wrap itself around them, rendering even invisible targets, visible. -Items Used-

Something was out there? How was that possible? The group was still about two miles from the intel location. Shodaime would jump into a tree and activate her byakugan to survey the area in front of them. Shodaime was able to see up to five miles out with her byakugan, a useful skill when it came to seeing enemies before they see them. Less than a mile out, Shodaime would see 3 figures standing on the side of the road. They seemed to not be moving, she was unsure if they were alive or not. Shodaime would motion to the two to join her up in the tree so she could brief them on what lied ahead.

"Less than a mile out, there's three figures. They're not moving, so I'm not sure if any of them are living or dead, so I feel like we need to take this slow, if we're going to take a hostage for information." She would explain to the two. " You two can do whatever to the remaining nin, but the one I'm grabbing, we're taking alive to interrogate." She was keen on sticking to the plan, not straying any further from that. If all worked out, they would be able to get information from the Blood Herald and be able to locate the rest along the route.

Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan
Shodaime, being a member of the Side Branch was born with the milky white eyes her clan was famous for. Like others of her clan, the Byakugan granted her enhanced vision.

This vision is telescopic, allowing users to see through solid objects such as Smoke screens and walls. Arguably its greatest ability is to see chakra in all its nature, including its flow and the circulation system inside the body with great detail as well as the colour of chakra; giving them the ability to discern clones from the original. Like the Sharingan and Rinnegan, the Byakugan can detect chakra sealed barriers as well as determine when genjutsu is being used.

Having lived and trained most of her life, her byakugan allows her around 7-8 km range wise.
