It seemed as though the alarms of potential opposition finally got the attention of Asahi as they went over to the edge to check it out. He hoped that this situation might be what he needed to change the course of the conversation. That is, he also needed something to replace it with as what they were discussing was rather deep. He imagined someone like Asahi wouldn't be the type of person to let something like that go so easily.

After a few minutes of observation it appeared as though his initial assessment was correct. "Perfect. It's been a minute since I went on an escort mission where there wasn't some kind of annoying problem." Issei added just as Asahi begin to rest himself against the edge of the boat. "Hmm. I wonder how much time we have until we get to our destination?" The Uchiha muttered quietly to himself as he looked over the boat him at the vast amounts of water surrounding them.

"Yeah. I don't think this is ever going to grow on me.. Too boring, and too isolated from society."

After walking away from the edge Issei decided to take a seat next to Asahi. "How about we take a nap or something? I figured if there is any sort of real danger we'll here the drums of war upon us." Issei stated sarcastically. It wasn't something he did too often, but these days he made more of an effort to be human than he was all those years ago. "That is unless there was more you wanted to discuss?"

Asahi heard Issei mention escort missions coming with annoying problems and this made the genin give a quick smirk. But wasn't that what they were hired for? To deal with any annoying problems that the civilians couldn't handle on their own? His golden eyes followed the Uchiha down as he took a seat next to him. Issei asked him if there was anything else he wanted to talk about and Asahi stayed quiet. He usually left guiding conversation to other people, but he was quiet for another reason. His brain was torn. The false alarm that had just been rang, created a conflict in him where he wanted to full relax, but he also knew he had to stay alert. But the waters were calm as they lapped against the ships edge. Everything seemed peaceful enough. His eyes went from Issei to the Konoha ship now close and passing. It took Asahi a moment to notice the passing ship slowing down, partly because their own ship was slowing down. And he noticed it a moment too late. The peace would be broken, suddenly and chaotically, as if someone had dropped a vase to the floor. Two sailors next to the shinobi pair, took the items in their hand and swung at them. The one that swung at Asahi had a metal bar in his hand and aimed for his head. The one that swung at Issei wielded at basic wakizashi blade. Asahi barely reacted in time, letting himself fall to a sitting position as the metal bar crossed right over his head, grazing his hair. The suddenness of it all made the moment move in slow motion for the boy as he barely dodged. The ship had broken out in fighting with the workers in on the surprise attack fighting the unsuspecting workers who weren't. Meanwhile, many others closed in on the two shinobi to join the two attacking the resting shinobi. Pirates weren't going to intercept the ship. They were already on the ship. They had hidden themselves among the crew before the job even began! And the Konoha ship now parked next to their parked ship, was a fake! Cries of battle could be heard as the pirates from fake Konoha ship began to board their own.

It seemed as though the boy was content with leaving the conversation where they left it. Fine with Issei, the Uchiha was definitely used to being in silence and sometimes that just how things went on missions. Even with someone he had a strong relationship with like Kazui, even during their missions it would be silent for most of it. Issei decided that he would do as Asahi was and decided that he was just going to rest for the rest of the trip.

When the movement in the ship begin to slow Issei thought nothing of it. He simply believed it was just his body adapting to the ships movement and thus he could not feel the vast waters moving against them. Of course this proved to be wrong when he noticed that there was someone next to Asahi with a metal bar in their hand. "Umm, do we kn--" Before he could even ask if they were apart of their ship the man swung at him.

Issei's instinct was immediately to see if the same was happening on his end, and fortunately he did because a sword was already in the process of getting ready to cut his head off. "HEEY!" He yelled just after falling to the ground away from the slash. The sword fortunately got caught on the end of the boat where he was sitting. Almost immediately after he got out the way Issei proceeded to kick the sailor in the gut sending him airborne, but he wasn't done yet. He needed to make a statement.

In his line of site he could see that another ship had managed to close in without either of them knowing. After taking in a deep breath Issei fired off a large fire ball into the air where he kicked his attacker, and before they would even get the chance to fall in the water their frame would be caught by the fire ball as it went flying into the sky. The light from the fireball would surely get the attention of everyone who'd been fighting already.

After performing the seals, chakra is kneaded inside the body and converted into fire which is expelled from the mouth either as a expeditious massive orb of roaring flame comparable to a comet or as a continuous flame-thrower. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater in the ground's surface. In its comet form, this technique is capable of going as far as 40 meters. As a flamethrower, its range is shorter at 20 meters, but can engulf several oncoming projectiles and opponents. For those who posses a Katon Ability, this technique possesses the speed, power, and efficiency of a B-ranked jutsu.

The slow motion of the moment was gone, and now everything was moving so fast. Asahi's golden eyes glanced from pirate to pirate that closed in on them. The green haired boy's attention was brought to the Chuunin next to him as he heard the loud grunt of the pirate who just was kicked in the gut. And just as he was about to look away, something happened that kept his eyes fixated. Issei launched a fireball toward the airborne pirate...a huge fireball in the genin eyes. And the heat from the flame. It spoke to the man's skill in Katon, and had distracted the crowd of pirates around them. Just as it suddenly got loud, it suddenly got quiet. Asahi could feel the new fear from many of the pirates, in the air, and see it on their faces. This pause in the chaos, was something Asahi took advantage of. He took out to kunai to hold in his right and left hand while activating his clan's hijutsu, Incarnation of Many Hands. Two bone like chakra arms sprouted from his back and punched the two closest pirates in their distracted faces. "The Captain," Asahi stated his intention to check on the ship's leader, back at Issei before dashing deeper into the crowd. With some attention drawn back to him, he caught incoming attacks with his extra arms and kunai in his real arms hands, parrying and dodging his way through the crowd while landing deep cuts on a few pirates to get through. The air as a whole had changed since Issei's fireball had engulfed the man in the sky. Those who were frozen, now made their choices. Many who had just run onto the merchant ship from the fake ship, ducked tail and ran back to the fake ship. Those who didn't choose flight, fought on, with fear now in their hearts and effecting their minds. The playing field was more even again, thanks to Issei, but now much more focus was put on him from the remaining enemies. He was seen as the strongest threat, and the pirates would seek to overwhelm Issei with numbers. Asahi got hit a couple times with fists, a crowbar, and even got some cuts here and there but he had made it to the doors leading down into the interior of the ship. He went through and was greeted with a hallway with the room clearly meant for the captain at the end. None of the pirates above had made it down here yet, so it was quiet. Asahi looked back at the door, but no pirates had followed either. If the boy hadn't been filled with relief, he would have picked up on the strangeness of that. But he didn't, and made his way to the captain's quarters doors and pushed them open.

Only able to make two, he uses them to hold extra weapons, and assist in other ways inside battle, medical training, and in everyday life. However, he still has much further to go, with more arms to come in the future and more ways to get quicker, stronger and better at utilizing them.

They can only affect certain materials with this power however, specifically the bone-like chakra material known as Ki or Vessel, of which their long skeletal arms are made of. As the clan member grows in age, their brain power increases, thus allowing them to control more and more arms. However, while a Jounin may potentially control up to 12 arms, they have to consider how many arms they can indeed carry on their back, meaning many simply decide to use 6 and summon the rest of needed.

The arms, as I have said before, need to be carried on the user's back. However, this is not the same as carrying a backpack or a storage device for these arms. The arms are very much protruding from the back of the clan member, with no other obstructions, using a highly complicated fuuinjutsu technique. In this technique, the arms appear from 'ports' on a tattoo engraved onto the clan member's back. The larger and more complicated the tattoo, the older and more experienced the clan member.

It appeared as though everyone on the ship got his message, and for a moment neither side even attempted to move in awe from how brilliant his flames were. Of course, that was short lived the moment Asahi sprang back into action. There were a few that decided that taking over their ship wasn't worth it and headed back onto their own, the rest continued to fight like their lives depended on it. Because it did.

Unfortunately, as a result of his showing of power it made Issei a prime target for the opposition. Right about now he had five pirates heading toward him alone. "Eh.. Fortunately for you guys I can't do anything crazy here, but it wont mean your chances will have gotten any better." Issei's red optics focused intensely on the men coming toward him. Most carrying different variations of swords, while a couple only had knives. "Looks like I'll be borrowing this."

Issei set his initial focus on the pirate with the knife. Parrying them using his forearm with enough strength to bruise his attacking arm. The aforementioned result led to the pirate dropping the knife to which Issei would catch with his free hand. Immediately after he stabbed the pirate in the chest before kicking them into the next person coming. That left him with three to deal with before he'd be free to provide any backup to Asahi.

The two coming at him now were carrying swords and each aimed to attack him at different moments in the hopes they might catch him off guard. Pirate 3 attempted to slash toward his torso, and pirate 4 aimed to flat out behead him. Their lack of training made it easy to avoid both hits with Issei merely needed to weave into their attacks weak point. Issei would be careful not to rush before he'd finally make an attacking move of his own.

After avoiding another attacking from Pirate 3, Issei parried the incoming of Pirate 4 into the direction of Pirate 3 after he'd missed his own attack. This would result in the Pirate 4 slashing his own comrade in the back seriously injuring them. The action that followed from Issei would be for him to grab the latter and throw them off the ship. Pirate 3 would be too injured without a doubt to do anything about, and now the last pirate wouldn't even attempt to fight.

They almost immediately jumped overboard back onto their own ship before Issei begin heading in the direction Asahi ran. More and more of the opposition begin to start running as they rallied behind Issei. The Uchiha expected the ship as a whole might be gone sooner rather than later, but that all depended on what was happening on deck below. He hoped that the captain might be alright as he was not able to spot them on top with the rest of them.

As Asahi pushed the door open he heard the tail end of the Captain speaking. "-said you could handle them!-" he screamed at someone in a hushed tone and immediately got quiet as the boy entered the room. There was a moment of pause, where everything stood completely still between Asahi, The Captain, and the three pirates that stood in the room with them. At first the genin took the three to be the Captain's guard, but that assumption was wrong. And again, Asahi's brain was just a little too slow. The still moment passed, and the three pirates lunged for the genin. Asahi instinctively dodged and punched Pirate 1, with the shock of his situation and new adrenaline pumping through him. But 1 on 3 weren't good odds for the boy, and the pirates seemed different from the ones above. They were more skilled. Stronger. And their movements spoke to more experience, Asahi noted this as he danced between the three, trading blows in the small confines of the captain's room. But eventually the 3 Pirates overpowered him, had disarmed him of his kunai, and got a hold of his arms. But with all 3 of them grabbing his 3 out of 4 arms, he had one left to keep fighting back with. "This boy's squirmy! Catch him and we can sell him back to Konoha!" one of them exclaimed, with the excitement of a challenge seeping from their voice. It was like he was a fish flopping around to these three. If Issei was to enter, he would see Asahi being held off the ground, thrashing around as the 3 pirates tried to grapple and subdue him. "GET OFF ME!" Asahi cried out with fear and anger, as flashbacks of the event in Kawa kept popping in his head. His golden eyes watched the Captain stand back, letting it happen. So the Captain was a traitor? If one looked at the table in the room, they would see details of the plan that was occurring on the ship above. Details of the deal the captain had made.

Issei's trajectory toward the captains Quarters would be a relatively simple one. The rest of the crew managed to contain what was left of the enemy pirates while the others continued to leave in wake of his presence. The Uchiha intended to use this to his advantage, plus he was certain that once they got ahold of their ships captain that the enemy pirates would leave due to the moral boost they would receive.

As Issei headed down the ship he could hear Asahi yelling as if he was being overwhelm by the opposition, but that didn't make any sense to him. "What the hell is going on?" His instinct was to run in without any worry to help his comrade, but he had no idea what might have been on the other side and why a Shinobi would even be in a position to be struggling against the enemy. Issei continued to moved swiftly, but he was also careful to be light on his toes so that he could catch the enemy off guard.

After peaking into the room he would notice that there was three people trying to get ahold of Arashi, and in the background would be the captain. He expected that he might be the target of the attack, but instead he was standing idle next to a number of papers on his desk. "This looks like a setup." Issei muttered before pulling out six Shuriken from his pouch and connecting them all to wire to use to catch the opposition off guard.

Issei would wait until they got a little more frustrated with Asahi trying to resist against them, and once that moment came he'd run into the room and would throw each of them at the enemy. Using the manipulating Shuriken tech he would have each of the Kunai aimed to wrap around the necks of each of the enemy. His attack thanks to being occupied by Asahi would be an easy success for the Chuunin as the pair of Shuriken he threw at each of them would be wrapped around their necks.

His Sharingan did well to help aid in the success of how well his Shuriken were able to travel. After he got ahold of them he'd yank the wire in his direction which would not only pull them toward him, but puncture their necks as the Shuriken would have locked into place upon making contact with them. "You alright Asahi?! What the hell is going on here?! And what are you doing Captain?!"

  DESCRIPTION:
  Wires attached to shuriken, be it during the use of this jutsu or prepared beforehand, can be manipulated with such sleight hand movements that the trajectory of the stars can be altered at any point in their flight. The spinning nature of the shuriken more than often distracts shinobi from the razor thin strings connecting them to their owner, making this an effective way to catch the opponent off guard.

Asahi continued to struggle as the pirates wrestled with him. Again the memories came and he struggled just like he did that day, although a bit more skilled now. Still it was fear that led him through it, not a rational mind. And then the struggle stopped. The men who held him dropped to the floor of the room, struggling to the end if not having already met it. Asahi dropped with them, but stood back up. His eyes stayed locked on the captain. It would be tough to say what emotion Asahi gave away in his eyes. Maybe that's what terrified that captain the most as his eyes locked with Asahi for as long as he could take, and then he glanced at his other fear, Issei. The man who had just dropped 3 pirates like they were nothing. That spoke to the Uchiha's skill. And that fireball, Asahi wouldn't forget that sight for a while, if ever. The boy's eyes stayed trained on the captain and he walked forward, taking a step, step, step, step. As he got closer the Captain backed away. "I'm fine. I'll tell you what's going on. He's a traitor." Asahi accused. "No no no I swear. They gave me no choice. It was join them or die!" the older man pleaded. "He's a traitor, and a liar." Asahi delivered judgement in the same tone that was a concoction of anger, leftover fear, disappointment, and apathy for what was about to happen to the man. The genin closed the distance. The man fell to his butt as he shrank away, but Asahi still reached out with all four arms and grabbed the man's arms held out in defense. The traitor captain was frozen in fear, clearly unable to fight back against the two shinobi. He pushed the man's arms aside with R2 and L2 while simply doing one handseal with his real hands. Then R2 and L2 grabbed the back of the man's head to bring him close to the boy. It wouldn't take long for him to weave the chakra strings to connect the man's lips together at all points of contact. With great chakra control he modified the strings to be rigid and tight rather than elastic. The boy bound the older man's mouth shut with the Chakra Stitches Technique. The man tried to struggle after realizing what had been done, but Asahi had made them tight and durable. Then, Asahi would use his four arms to go to repeat the technique on the man's hands and arms held together, and if successful and allowed to continue would go roll up the man's pant legs and connect his legs together with the same technique. This was payback, but more importantly a test. He had wished to see if the Chakra Stitches technique could be used like that for a long time. Now to see if it held. The man seemed weak enough for it all to stick and limit movement, especially as durable and rigid he had made them. As Asahi went to work on completing that, and regardless of how far he got after sealing the lips, he would ask, "Well what do we do now? I don't want to have to miss my chance to see Kumo by having to turn the ship around for this worm." It had gotten a little quieter up top, or so it seemed from down there. Many had ran off and abandoned ship. But a few probably stayed behind out of pride. Whether he was allowed to finish or not, Asahi looked to Issei for direction and in admiration, although he tried to hide the second part as best he could.

These stitches are able to existing for hours, long after the creator has separated connection, and most importantly they are capable of extending and contracting to account for human movement to many times their initial length before snapping both with or without the creators input or presence. This trait effectively makes them potentially incredibly elastic or rigid depending on how the user effects and tweaks them.

Issei assumed that after he took out the enemy that this part of the raid would be over. He'd go up to the deck and pretty much announce to the opposition that their mission failed. However, it seemed like things would be taking a turn in a different direction once Asahi got up. The look in his eyes was completely difference from the soft look he got so accustomed to see on their mission. It was clear that he wasn't happy about what took place.

Asahi wasted no time in calling the Captain a liar and a traitor. The latter immediately started pleading his case on how he was being manipulated by the enemy, but the paper on his desk definitely said otherwise. He could see from where he was standing that what was written was way too elaborate for a spare of the moment attack. The Captain begin to scooting away in fear as though his life were about to be taken away from him.

Issei had no intentions of doing that as he wasn't a threat to Asahi or himself. In fact, he already had plans on how to handle this mishap. As he begin to walk over Asahi begin taking matters into his own hands. He started by using an ability he had never seen before. He became so enticed by what he was seeing that he didn't even think to consider what he was actually doing with them. It was amazing and definitely added another layer to the skills he alluded to earlier.

It took him awhile to sort of shake himself from his memorization, but once he did he proceeded to see what was happening away from him. When he got to the captain his lips were sealed shut and he was in the process of doing the same to his legs. Issei had no idea on what to do given he waited so long to see what was actually happening. He never expected Asahi would have such a dark side, but having a near death experience from betrayal had a way of changing you.

"Asahi...."

Issei called out softly after he asked what they were going to do now that the Captain betrayed them. He thought about addressing what just transpired, but figured that might be a conversation they could have after everything was under control. "I've already thought that out. The mission will continue as planned. Every ship has a first mate, so that person will take control over the ship and become the new captain."

"Then we will proceed to finish the mission.. While the crew is having to repair and figure out the aftermath of what just happened, You and I will go to Kumo and then make sure to be back at the dock before they leave.." The Uchiha sighed and shook his head before grabbing ahold of the captain by his arm and begin to drag him along to the top of the deck. Upon his arrival he would see that the rest of the crew had gotten ahold of the situation and had the enemy surrounded.

"Ahoy! ... Or something like that... Uh, look. Your captain here is a traitor. It was he who was behind this unforeseen attack. Konoha will decide what his punishment will be.. In the meantime, I'm going to need the whomever is the first mate is to step up and to take over the rest of the journey... And for you guys over there." Issei stated intensely as the rounded up group of enemy pirates. "I'm going to give you till the count of three to get off this ship."

The pirates didn't hesitate to move out the way as they all begin jumping overboard and back over to their own ship before leaving all together. "Yikes.. People actually like doing this for a living." Issei muttered before looking back over at Asahi with a thumbs up. Afterward he'd assist in helping the crew with anything they needed to complete their task.

It would seem as if the boy didn't even consider what he had done to be that dark of a thing. Asahi nodded, satisfied with Issei's direction. He then looked to the scrolls on the desk of the room, and before leaving with Issei and their new captive, he grabbed what he could carry in all his arms. He'd probably have to turn it in as evidence, but maybe he would be able to keep something. Maybe he could sneak it...Those thoughts were shaken away as they emerged back to the top of the ship, revealing why it had been quieter. The crew had taken care of things. "Looks like you picked the wrong side. If this wasn't a set up from the beginning, you should have put more trust in your people's skill." Asahi stated to the captain, who hadn't broken the chakra string bindings yet. Asahi took note of how they were holding together. Someone stronger than the older man probably could have broken them, but the idea behind it still worked, and could be applicable for people and things that wouldn't have the strength to break it. Lack of strength and now total defeat took care of the captains will to fight back, aside from the fear of what the two shinobi could do. Asahi listened as Issei commanded the ship for the moment and watched the remaining pirates retreat. Asahi looked at Issei a little confused as things went back into motion. He watched the jounin go to help and he did the same where he could. The four arms came in handy. Eventually he would make his way back over to Issei and ask about what had confused him. "Why did you let them go? Those pirates. Shouldn't we have killed them, or at least captured them?" The genin asked with genuine curiosity, with a tone as if the act of killing was just another thing. As if it came with no weight. In his mind capturing them actually made the most sense, so he couldn't help but ask why Issei had chosen what he did.

Only able to make two, he uses them to hold extra weapons, and assist in other ways inside battle, medical training, and in everyday life. However, he still has much further to go, with more arms to come in the future and more ways to get quicker, stronger and better at utilizing them.

They can only affect certain materials with this power however, specifically the bone-like chakra material known as Ki or Vessel, of which their long skeletal arms are made of. As the clan member grows in age, their brain power increases, thus allowing them to control more and more arms. Issei hated being on missions like this one, but fortunately he was able to difuse the situation along with Asahi before things got too crazy. "All in a days work eh.." Issei muttered to himself while looking down at the captain, shaking his head in shame before leaving him to be dealt with by his crew. He figured they might have a few choice of words for him and more before they headed back to Konoha the next day.

Now that this whole takeover thing was addressed some of the crew members begin preparing the ship to sail toward the coast of the land of lightning. In the midst of all that Asahi asked why he had just let them go, citing that they should have probable just killed them instead. There might have been some instance where that would have been required, but in most cases you simply didn't need to. Of course, there was always the guy he sent into space with his Fire Ball.

Poor pirate probably didn't make it, so that only meant he took out about four in total. They didn't need to exterminate the whole crew, only the ones that put them into situations where lethal force was necessary. "Because there is a system to how all this works Asahi. Killing them wouldn't actually benefit the mission, plus, if these pirates are a source of problem for missions like this than its better to link them at the source."

"In other words, when we take the captain back to the village we can interrogate him into giving up the HQ or whatever place their hiding and bring them all in.. With that in mind, we can then arrest them and take them to a prison where their sentencing can be exploited through free labor... Dark world right?" Issei added with an evil smile on his face before shrugging his shoulder. He wasn't the joking type, but that was definitely the actual realities to being a Shinobi.

"I mean, how else do you think the trash disappears from the village. Someone's gotta do it right?"

Asahi listened intently to Issei's answer. "Hmmm. That's a good point," the genin started lifting a finger to his chin as the act of deep processing crossed his face. "That is a good use for them. Instead of killing them, use their energy for as long as you can," he continued. The dark nature of the conversation and their statements wasn't told by the boy's tone. It was as if he just got the answer to an equation he had just been exposed to, and he was comprehending it. "I didn't realize there was that much of a system to these things. I figured you could just do the interrogating in the moment, but I suppose there are those better at it than we could be...But I don't think it will take too much interrogation for the captain to talk," the boy said through small laughs at the old man and what he had coming. A small smile replaced the more thoughtful look on his face as things on the ship returned to calm, like the ocean after a storm. "Thank you, by the way. Had you not come in...maybe I could have handled it...maybe I couldn't have, but regardless, you came in and helped me, so thank you," Asahi said with a bow from the waist. The thank you wasn't just for helping him like it seemed on the surface. He and Issei had talked about many things on this trip so far, and Asahi had learned much more than he had expected. And he was still going to be able to see Kumogakure! The thank you he delivered encompassed all of that. Then he rose from his bow and walked back over to the side of the ship, and sat on the railing letting his legs dangle. The boy returned to gazing at the open ocean, breaking away from it every so often to check on the ship's happenings, until his attention would be drawn to the sight of land he had never seen before. Land he was itching to explore, even if only for a bit. [END]
