Mugen Kaisen Kata [Infinite Revolutions Style]

Mugen Kaisen Kata is a style passed down through centuries of teaching and originated from farmers in the more rural and rustic days where weaponry was not as abundant or manmade. For that purpose, farm weapons served as the traditional defensive tools, and one also used for sowing the land.

The Kusari intially started out as a Kama, a hand held scythe for cutting crops. The chain was only introduced much later and was used a lot with mounted combat, and by applying a counterweight and chain, a new style was born.

It was never a popularised style, but with the branches of specialisations grew and the industrial revolution allowed for villages to create more effective weapons, the Kusari and whip died out among some of the more popular choices, like the Katana. This specific style of Kusari-gama techniques was born in Nohara no Kuni, where the emphasis on style is about creating revolutions and spheres, or zones of influence from inside the use of a Kusarigama.

Note:
All techniques use stamina unless specifying using chakra

NAME: Daichi Kumade [Ground Rake]
RANK: E
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
Using a Kusari-chain mid fight, they rake their chain across the ground parallel to it. If the correct materials are on the ground, will cause them to fly up into the area that is raked in front of them - little stones, rocks, sticks will get flown up in front of them.

NAME: Kata: Jun [Technique: Turn]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Very Low Continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
When a chain is in motion, a basic push is sent into the spinning chain and allows the person to change its rotation or direction, or even turn themselves while maintaining the same rotation. A glancing push will allow a user to turn themselves, with a brief opening created in the chest region where the push is used as the chain slows momentarily.

NAME: Kata: Hikite [Technique: Catch]
RANK: D
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT:
DESCRIPTION:

Using a quick expert (and demanding) set of push and pulls, the user is able to cause a ripple through their chain that causes the chain, if wrapping around something, to wrap over itself to entangle, making it quite difficult to simply slip through the chain to get out of.

NAME: Hasamiuchi [Pincer Attack]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
Using a kusari-chain, whip-chain or rope-dart, the user does any set of revolutions as they desire, on a downward rotation they kick their foot out toward the end of the chain, and what ends up happening is that the end of the chain snakes along the bottom of the foot and causes a snap, and allowing a user to hit a desired location much faster, and with a great deal of precision. The damage that can be caused is dependent on the exact tool - but can even make a dull object pierce through thin sheet metal.

[ref]

NAME: Gyaku Hasamiuchi [Reverse Pincer Attack]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low Continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
This is exactly the same as the previous technique, except it is done using the off-hand leg, or opposite side, allowing for more free flowing movement that can be used during a revolution and any type of upward, downward or side turn as long as the correct momentum is applied in the correct direction.

[ref]

NAME: Kata: Suppon [Technique: Snapping Turtle]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT: Gyaku Hasamiuchi [Reverse Pincer Attack]
DESCRIPTION:
For intents and purposes the technique feels like an Ototon technique- but is actually just a clever application of a Kusari-chain. The user first begins a rotation, and then jerks their arm or hand to one specific direction. The end point - usually a chain or scythe or bladed weapon will then jerk in that direction. The main power is not from its ability to cut through things: but the snap at the very end. A very localised and directional use of the end, causes a small 'sonic boom' which can cause a distressing sound in a 2 meter sphere/bubble around it, disorienting other people inside it (indiscriminate of ally or foe) and if right by their ear, even popping an ear drum. Outside of the two meters, is simply a loud noise.

NAME: Kata: Nadegiri [Technique: Clean Sweep]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium, Medium Continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
The user attempts to sweep a target around their feet with a chain, at a very minimum to tie them up and if successful: can then use the chain to effectively "whip" the person back and forth into the ground, if they are not strong enough, can simply pull them off balance.

Note: Full sized humans and heavier objects require a Strength SA

[ref]

NAME: Gyakumodori no Yakkai [Reversal of Burden]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

This technique is caused by a sharp pull, instantly followed by a loop in the chain and a jerk to a single direction. What it can do is cause the end point (usually a bladed part) to stop in its outward lunge and immediately change direction. It is effectively a 'brute force' of the use of a weapon, and as such a bladed weapon could stop mid flight and be changed to someone close by, or to fight against a more nimble foe.

NAME: Tetsu Reikyuu [Iron Prison]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Low
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
An attack with a simple twist, the user simply aligns themselves up correctly with an attack with an attachment at the end of the kusari-chain, and wraps around an enemy's midsection with the chain ending up embedding itself directly into the enemy's chest as it comes to the end of the chain. This is only as effective as the attachment used: blunt force trauma for chains (contusion, abrasion, laceration, and fracture), piercing for bladed weaponry, etc.

NAME: Kata: Kaisen [Technique: Revolutions]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

The mark of a strong kusarigama user is their ability to manoeuvre their body in an endless cycle of revolutions - their chain never stops while being able to move themselves, and direct their own attacks in different places and ways by making slight adjustments in their body as they do move.

This is, exactly so- a more difficult an active awareness that requires solid concentration to be used effectively and quickly during a battle without stopping, and with room for mistakes like hitting themselves with their own chains or weaponry, tying ones self up by moving outside of the usual course of action (a turn must be followed through) but can otherwise be a fantastic technique for keeping an enemy on their toes. These strikes by themselves are generally varying in intensity and damage as akin to any other weaponry used in a fight. (can be used alongside other techniques)

NAME: Kata: Omoi Senshi [Technique: Heart Stab]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT: Cannot be just a chain
DESCRIPTION:

Using a dart or bladed object on the end of a Kusari-chain, the user uses a revolution or leg to push the object into the earth - from where it becomes tethered. From there, the user can kick the tethered (and rigid line) backward while pulling their arm in the direction they want to attack. What is caused is a much stronger downward strike as the bladed object builds up energy through the swing as well by the kick, causing the weapon to penetrate through very strong barriers, and is even strong enough to dismember somebody with a sharp enough weapon.

[ref]

NAME: Kata: Kensei [Technique: Feint]
RANK: C
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT: Kusari-chain must already be spinning
DESCRIPTION:

Using their elbow and turn (as a three-sixty turn) to push a kusari-chain strongly, during a maximum-speed revolution where the chain is difficult to see even for seasoned shinobi, makes the chain change direction without losing any of its speed, turning a downward rotating chain to an upward rotating chain - and can catch people by surprise.

NAME: Kusari Kasoku Suru [Chain Accelerate]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT: Kasoku Suru [Accelerate]
DESCRIPTION:

Utilising the exact same principles as accelerate, the user can apply chakra to their arms and immediately begin a single rotation, bypassing the need for a long wind up period to get to a faster spinning speed and causing them to reach a near "max spin speed" very quickly.

Unfortunately, decelerate is not as possible on this weaponry the same way that accelerate is.

NAME: Kakou Sentou [Crater Punch]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

The user must begin from a position of spinning their chains, and then using the forward momentum to strike downward - usually at a target. If that target is a person delivers a great deal of blunt force trauma, that same attack if it misses can still carry on and through into the earth - hitting the floor at such an impact that it would cause a two meter crater at the point of impact.

NAME: Gunbiteppai [Complete Disarmament]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: High
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:
Requiring quite a lot of finesse, if fighting against another weaponry user, while rotating around with chains in various attacks, actually lines up the chain to attack the weapon being held, with a reversing curl (like applying a backward spin to a bowling ball) and causing the chain to wrap around the tool, and being ripped from the target's grip (unless their strength can exceed that of the weapon and momentum being used), in which case a weapon might simply break instead from the torsion created. If the weapon is let go, will roll along the chain in one swift movement for the user to then grab with a free hand.

NAME: Uzu Sendo [Spiral Death]
RANK: A
CHAKRA USAGE: High
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
REQUIREMENT:
DESCRIPTION:

One of the more deadly techniques using a chain, is the user begins their rotations but using strong wrist movements is able to cause smaller circles inside their already spinning circle - and in practise makes their spinning look like the chain is doing a S shaped movement as opposed to a circle. The user is sending alternate circles through the chain.

When the user is ready, they attack - aiming to wrap the tool around any part of an enemy's body and then gives a sharp pull. The alternate circles then straighten out: if a person gets caught through that loop, will be subject to an extreme torsion and pull - similar to quite literally having an arm twisted off.

Done correctly, could even behead a human, and is strong enough to cut through strong metals and defences.

NAME: Tetsu Kakuheki [Iron Wall]
RANK: B
CHAKRA USAGE: Medium, Medium continuous
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

The user speeds up their own chain spinning and some freedom of movement to turn their spinning chain into a defence rather than an offense. Spinning at a rate that would make it improbably for someone to punch through or attack through and risk their own body being wound up in chain, and can vaguely provide a defence against even some elemental techniques except for Raiton and Fuuton.

NAME: Mugen Kaisen Jutsu [Infinite Revolutions Technique]
RANK: S
CHAKRA USAGE: Very High
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

This style focuses on revolutions - and as to be expected, one of the strongest techinques in the Mugen Kaisen Kata is about making a revolution. Requiring an adequate amount of space, the user begins to spin their chains. Usually above their head, but can even be to their side. They continuously add and add power to the spin, to a point that even a matured Sharingan cannot keep up with.

Usually, these Kusari will have objects on the end of them, blades, kamas, etcetera. If vertical and long enough, the speed is strong enough to simply cut through the floor as if it were not there, whipping up winds in quite a large radius around the user.

The user can then let go of their chain, in which case, the speed it moves at will make it appear as though it teleports when let go from the user's hand. It will go through many objects, including legendary defences, but will leave the user without a weapon. Even if they could find it.

The user can perform a "final strike" at the floor in front of the person they wish to attack. This attack will cause a shockwave into the earth in front of them for about a hundred meters (beam orientation) in a web like fashion, which while not directly impactful will actually cause the surrounding world to go skyward: turning the smallest of rocks into a deadly flourish of projectiles - even turning a boss summon into a pin cushion if given the chance.

As expected, this weapon will not survive the technique: and will greatly exhaust the user for doing so, which the strain cannot be done many times in a thread (2), can risk more permanent damage.

NAME: Mugen Kaisen Gisei [Infinite Revolutions Sacrifice]
RANK: S
CHAKRA USAGE: Very High
CLASSIFICATION: Bukijutsu
DESCRIPTION:

The user has to jump into the air to begin with, or at least begin a descent in order to allow then the full length of their chains. When in the air, beginning to rotate the chains and propelling their body, strength and use of physics to achieve a 'ace in the hole' attack.

The chains moving as quickly as they are would make the user invisible from the sides even to those wielding a Dojutsu, instead seeing one large shield for how fast it is. As the user touches the ground, sacrifices themselves somewhat to perform this final attack. To displace this level of energy, the first thing the user must do on hitting the ground is push forward to one direction. This both causes them to break their knees and sever all surrounding muscles from the force created. The user can begin a final onslaught of having effectively turned into a spinning tornado - progressively pulling their muscles, bones, and joints from his sockets as the weights pull them in several different directions, speed enhanced by the weight of the chain they use.

Though, such a sacrifice does not come without the power: the speed and strength of which this chain moves in the user's arms are nothing short of devastating, could tear through a Bijuu or large summon like it were tissue paper, or through someone as though nothing were in the way, and has some limited ability to move in any direction (primarily limited to the direction they go with some curvature)

After the technique comes to an end, they will effectively become incapacitated with majority of their muscles being torn and body being broken.

Thank you for your patience, here is the review.

Generally: Remove unnecessary text(such as: Any prerequisites? List them here. Otherwise, feel free to delete this line.) and the jutsu template at the top of the set.

Kata:jun: Sorry but I don't understand what you are going for with this? Can you explain it in a different way? Remove fluff-text?

Hasamiuchi: just to be clear it will not be doing much more than piercing/damaging defensive things which are equal to defensive jutsu as per jutsu rules about D ranks( Defensive techniques may block only low-leveled weapons such as kunai, shuriken, or standard punches.) if that makes sense? If more damage is desired bump to C rank as it is also harder to avoid/dodge - as it is now it is pretty easy to avoid defend against as per d rank jutsu rules(Technique is often ineffective unless the opponent is caught off guard.)

Gyaku Hasamiuchi: it needs to have the same description as the other tech. Otherwise, people might be confused as to what it does/is capable of due to the lacking description if it is posted in a thread.

Supon: What is an Oton? A weapon? My google search yielded nothing.

Nadegiri: Add a need for a strength sa if you want to be slapping a whole normal sized person around like that.

Reikyuu: i dont see a standard weight attachment embedding itself into the target's chest, specify it is a bladed attachment or that it slams into the target's chest - that way if it is a bladed attachment it will do the stabby stabby and if it is a weight attachment, then it will leave a nasty bruise.

Kata: kaisen: What does this do? The description doesn't tell me what the ref shows. Lion Shakes Head technique - as the guy shows in the ref- is not what I get the impression of from the description is it possible to describe what it does in a different way?

Omoi senshi: if you want more than a slash and you want dismemberment, make it b rank.

Kakou Sentou: Is the technique meant to smash the surroundings and change them that way or is it mainly made to be used as an attack against people? The damage to a person seems more like an afterthought the way the description is now. If it is designed to do both provide more details on what it does to the environment as well as the blunt force trauma it delivers to a person.

Gunbiteppai: Just a heads up that a person can dodge this without the use of jutsu and is not an instant hit/disarm.

Kakuheki: I am not sure this needs to be A rank, what makes it A rank worthy in your opinion?

I tackle the S ranks next time.

You are right it was meant to be a people-attack, so I've reworded it as such.

Gunbiteppai
Understood - just like all of these techniques they're only good if they actually hit someone :^)

Tetsu Kakuheki
I was being a little bit harsh on it - I've dropped the rank and slightly the cost.
