2nd Rounds Info

After exploring the landscapes of Nohara no Kuni, all of the Chuunin Exams participants have finally arrived in Kusagakure, whether it be through collecting all of the required clues or being escorted after using up all of their allotted time. There were a few contestants who were ejected from the exams, either for personal reasons or for breaking the rules, but those participants are most certainly far at the back of the minds of the remaining genin. Once the last genin arrived in Kusagakure there was a short period of time, a few days at most for the participants to rest. With the nation and village opening its borders for guests to come visit and prepare to watch the final stage of the exams.

Now, however, is the time for the daunting 2nd round of the exams. This exams' battleground? An underground labyrinth beneath the village of Kusagakure itself. A confusing amalgamation of tunnels, last used during the Third Shinobi War when deception and trickery were at all time highs, now re-purposed and refurbished specifically to test the mettle of shinobi. The tunnels below are poorly lit, poorly ventilated, and with the help of clever seals and crude mechanisms, ever shifting. When decided by the proctors, dead ends may become long open corridors, with small pockets of refuge suddenly harboring traps and opening up paths of attack from other participants. Participants will only be allowed to take with them what they gathered during the first round, along with one free canteen of water, and the amount of time they will be spending within the labyrinth has not been disclosed. The genin do have one lifeline, however, a small electronic device, practically nothing more than a single button knick knack that, when pressed, will alert the proctors that the participant no longer wishes to continue, and will be extracted immediately. Who will prove tenacious enough to advance to the final round?

((First and foremost, thank you for your patience. The extended delay was a result of many things, personal and known, but at the end of the day still unacceptable. Going forward I am hoping to post much more regularly for this event, especially considering the importance of the CE's to your characters' development, and should I feel that I can not keep up a regular pace, I shall pass the modding of this event to someone else.

With that out of the way, here is a quick overview/rules of this round.

1. Your characters are entering the labyrinth completely stripped of their usual attire and equipment. They have been given plain, gray, loose-fitting uniforms that can either be short-sleeved or long-sleeved, but provide practically no protection from injury or climate.

2. Your characters are permitted to bring whatever they gathered during the 1st round of the exams, whether it was from a clue or not, a small bag/pouch to hold those items in, the small electronic lifeline, and one canteen full of water.

3. Pressing the lifeline button will immediately remove a participant from the exams, preventing them from further participation.

4. In terms of jutsu and combat with other participants, there are no limitations.
