"For crying out loud, I thought Takeshi was the only problem." The Mikatakujira yelled as she reviewed the mission scroll within the dusty confines of her home. She doesn't really go home often but when she does, it's usually because she received a mission and someone had to call for her. She despised it, but, it was better than waiting around for a big fat nothing. Kunikunosaku looked t her supposed prtner on the briefing scroll and hummed in an intrigued manner. "Maybe this way, he'll get better, without me beating him up, someone his skill level instead." Kuni mumbled to herself s she rolled up the scroll, placing it by her leg and willing the tendrils to reach and assimilate into her.

As he walked down the streets after leaving her home, Kuni cupped her hands over her mouth. "Nari! To the Gates! Nari, to the Gates! NARI!" The kunoichi repeated the process until arriving there herself, she looked around to see if he was maybe already there, if he was, clearly the memory of his face didn't stick. If he wasn't, then clearly he wasn't disciplined enough to actually be a genin, whatever. He still was Nari, maybe she shouldn't be so hard on him, after all she was once upon a time like him. More violent but still the same... ish.

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Perks of living below a gambling den that never technically closed, one kept odd hours. Like usual, Narihira was up and raring to go well before the sun started to peak over the east horizon. He helped his mother with some simple chores before heading into the village to keep himself busy for the day.

Namely, by setting up practical jokes for his friends to run into. When he finished his machinations, the sun had crested and was beginning to heat the tropical village to its normal sweltering temperature. Nari found his way to a low wall and planted his butt onto it, so he could rest while he figured out what he wanted to do with the rest of his day.

Most of his ideas involved heading to the training grounds or meditating to contact Hisuiyuri, but a bird arriving with a scroll put a stopper in those plans. He had just opened the thing when a loud voice began ringing out through the air.

Luckily his wall wasn’t far from the gates that Kunikunosaku was demanding he appear at. Nari hopped up, readjusted Hisuiyuri’s holster and made his way over to the gates.

"Be a little louder, why don't you, Mikatakujira?" he asked as he came into the clearing. "I’m pretty sure they heard your screeching in the Wind Country."

Nari came up towards the chunin, grin on his face and a bounce in his step. "Let’s go, let’s go. To the false village!" He hadn’t been outside the real village in a good while so he was excited to get going on a mission.

It was the later, unsurprisingly. Knikunosaku looked overNari quite quickly to see iff he was well equipped for the mission. Given she didn't know of what he had, just seeing the spear was enough to call him good. What did surprise the girl was his quip at her. Oh if only you knew that weird serial killer I murdered there. The Mikatakujira thought as she motioned the boy on with a subtle nod. "Lead the way soldier-boy." The Chūnin stated, knowing damn well she'll never let him lead. The trip is 7 miles, she had a feeling Nari could make it 70. Still, she'd let him lead if he was going the right way.

Even if they weren't any hiccups, they would still arrive at their destination slower than what she would like. She expressed no emotion anyways, but the Genin she was to bring would probably be eager to get right to it."Nari... stay close. It isn't as small as you think. This village is a tad bigger than home to account for the Yamakira fortress. Since it's expansive, I don't want you to get lost and get in trouble. Be observant not of our targets, but also their cheerleaders. Wayward, probably aggressive Yamakira. They may be part of our village butt some are still bound to their bandit roots." The white-haired Chūnin stated with an irritated tone.

Kuni rubbed her eyes pinching the bridge of her nose. "Let's say you're team leader, how do you wish to proceed?"

Nari rolled his eyes at the bland tone Kuni used. He wasn’t a moron, despite the way he acted. He knew how to follow basic directions and he’d been to the fake village before. Someone had to help his mom set up betting tables during the Chunin Exams. So if she wanted him to lead, he could lead.

The trip to ¿Takigakure? could be considered long, if you were a normal non-shinobi person. He wasn’t that though, and seven miles wasn’t too difficult. Especially for the genin who had been training physically for years.

They moved through the dense jungle, Narihira acting all nonchalant with swinging arms and an ambling gait. He may have been acting like this wasn’t a big deal, but he was on guard, keeping his senses open to the forest around them. He wasn’t particularly worried about anything too bad happening, especially since he was working with Lady Eldritch-Horror, but he knew that once he was out of the Village nothing was guaranteed.

It was still weird stepping into the fake village. His mind was stalling over the fact that he had left Takigakure, but now he was stepping into ¿Takigakure? Weird. He let Kuni talk, explaining the village more in depth. He really hadn’t been allowed to explore last time he’d visited, being too busy with work. She was not enjoying this mission as much as he was.

Nari tilted his head and tapped his index finger against his chin as he thought about his answer. "We should probably talk to some of the victims if we can find any, see what they can remember about their attackers." He smiled and looked out into the crowds of people going about their lives.

"And maybe check out some of the mugging sights that were reported, see if we can find some clues and figure out if there is a pattern to the attacks?" Narihira turned to Kuni to see what she thought of his idea.

The Chūnin looked at Nari as he pitched his suggestion for a plan of action. Kuni did not need too long to muse over Nari's plan, it was sound enough and one Kuni would pitch, granted the Mikatakujira would pitch it without a hesitation given her durability but, knowing how Nari opted to train with her, she has a bit of extra faith on how well the boy can take a punch. Kuni nodded in acknowledgement, "Sounds good. Let's go with that." The Mikatakujira scanned her surroundings, she was oddly more attentive now that she had someone to watch rather than just doing things herself.

"It'd be hard to find the victims but I do faintly know where the incidents take place." Kuni motioned her head towards the direction Nari should follow her as she jumped down to the street. She looked around to see the citizens a bit more paranoid than usual. She started walking to the site, watching the people she passed on the streets just look terrified... "Maybe the other thing is easier than I thought." Kunikunosaku looked back to Nari as they came even closer to the first incident sight.

The Mikatakujira looked around, "I think we're here but it's usually not a big fiasco. Go ahead Nari, ask around." The Mikatakujira stated, folding her arms. She was more of the back seat here, but she had a lick of sense of when to step in.

Nari followed along quietly for a while, looking around the area. Kuni seemed decently receptive to his ideas, but he had no idea if she actually cared for them or not. Of course, in some manner he was certain that his plan was more than good enough for the mission at hand, so if she was leaving it up to him, then stuff her doubts. Kuni should have spoken up when she had the chance.

When motioned to go check it out, his brows would furrow momentarily. Was she trying to get him to do most of the leg work? Odd, either way he would slowly begin to move forward towards the centralized paranoia and start to ask around. He was friendly and carried a fairly polite air to him, something he doubted Kuni could do which was perhaps why she had sent him out to begin with. She wasn’t a people person, that much was way too obvious and Nari had no idea how to make her act even slightly normal.

Sure all shinobi had strengths and weaknesses but she wasn’t very versatile at all. Not even capable of acting? So strange!

He created his own Blade at a young age, under the tutelage of his mother, however, instead of making a sword as was common for the Clan members, Narihira designed his in the shape of a polearm.

  Giving it the name Hisuiyuri, he began learning to properly wield it from the moment he could hold it. Due to the connection the blade shares with him, should it ever be broken, both Narihora and the blade's soul would die, so he keeps it on his person at all times and cares for it meticulously.

  Narihira was lucky to be born with a deeper-than-average chakra pool. It allows him to fight and use jutsu for longer periods of time before he tires, compared to those with average-sized chakra pools.   As all Life Blades, Hisuiyuri absorbs Nari's chakra continuously as he carries it around, stacking up a decent amount of chakra inside of itself equal to half its wielder's chakra pool. The chakra becomes Hisuiyuri's and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the spear, allowing it to have the ability to self-repair small nicks and scratches it may obtain during combat.

  It also allows Hisuiyuri to have its own built-in security in case someone other than Nari grabs onto it. Using its futon chakra, sharp blades of wind will strike at the stranger's hands and arms until they release the spear. These gouges are minor cuts but they do sting quite a bit if they manage to hit skin.

  When entering combat, Hisuiyuri will use its own stores to fuel its abilities until it runs out and then will begin taking from Narihira. Thanks to his deeper-than-average chakra pools the wielder and weapon are able to go for a decent length of time-fighting in that state, but eventually, it will cause Nari to lose consciousness if the spear takes too much chakra.

  Using its natural affinity to fūton, Hisuiyuri is able to detach the six small jade points that line the sides of its spearhead and allow them to hover. By sacrificing the shredding ability the points usually grant the spear, Narihira is able to fire them off either one-by-one or all at once towards his opponents.

  At it's current skill level, Hisuiyuri's points move at a speed slightly quicker than a regular thrown kunai, due to being powered by fūton chakra and Narihira's able to control the path the points take up to 30m.

Kunikunosaku would hang a bit back to watch what Nari would do, what he could accomplish that the Mikatakujira. Acting to her consumed too much energy and usually, she had to expend extra chakra just to accomplish a greater look of innocence. She was definitely not a people person and asking her to talk to people was like giving a boy a crossbow with a hair-trigger and telling him not to shoot it. People had a certain way of aggravating the adolescent, a perfect reason Nari should go first, that and she really wanted to see his team-leading abilities. Although she lacked a team, she got the gist of watching other leaders how to watch such a team. Sometimes, it was good to let said team members take the lead to see their competency in running such an operation, with the leader assuming their prior leader status when things didn't pan out in the member's favor. Apparently, this trained their leading skills or something of that nature so they could grow.

The Mikatakujira was given such a task when she was a Genin, of course, she tried to run things in tandem with her strong desire for hearts. Now, it was simply a tiny voice she could easily ignore for an indefinite period. Narihira's questioning of the man and how he called her his assistant made the girl put her hand to her face. Damn it, Nari... but I suppose, that's the best way to approach this. The girl rationalized, however, no thoughts, no words was spoken to his question from her. The man looked at the boy to smirk and chuckle. "What? Are you guys superheroes or something?! Anyways, I don't have a clue what you're talking about." The man wandered off as Kuni came close to Nari to whisper in his ear, "Next time, drop the bad guy bit, and ask exclusively about the assaults, even I couldn't tell what you were talking about." Kunikunosaku waved her hand before leading to the next location.

"Same thing as before, difference is I can't get a read of the people, so tired cautiously but don't focus on the purpose." The girl would state as she jumped down, awaiting for Nari once again to take the lead.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.
