Tatsuya is a lean, muscular young man of average height with a slightly tan skin tone, black eyes and spiky dark-colored hair. While he does possess the signature goggles of legendary shonen manga protagonist, his overall appearance can not be considered anything but average. If it wasn't for his loud and charismatic personality, he wouldn't have any trouble blending with the background.
His trademark attire includes an open red and black jacket with its sleeves rolled up to his forearms, a simple T-shirt worn underneath, baggy dark green trousers and a pair of simple black boots. He carries his ninja headband in his right arm, dons a small bandage on his left cheek and a red pouch around his wait where he holds small ninja tools.
He carries his Fuuma Shuriken in a bag, alongside rations and survival items meant for long journeys. PERSONALITY NINDO: "I see. You must be the bad guys."
Extremely simple and narrow minded, seldomly does Tatsuya focus on anything that's beyond his immediate field of vision, and once he sets a goal for himself, he begins moving towards it without slowing down. Always with a bright disposition, convincing him to take the lead or handle a situation is rarely difficult, although one should make sure there has not been any confusion involved, as he can be rather disconnected from certain social norms.
Rule #1 is to smile as much as possible. Glares are reserved for use against enemies or those that threaten one's inner circle. There is no point in picking a line of work that will follow you for a lifetime if your face is always going to show how dissatisfied you are. Should that be your case, Tatsuya will attempt to spread his contagious smile and won't surrender until you cheer up. It might take, days, months or even years, but you can bet it will be one of the few things marked in his calendar or in his to-do list.
Rule #2 is never giving up, not until the bitter end. Be dumb, be stubborn, but never throw the towel. It's okay to run away but one should not allow one's grip on one's ideal to loosen up. One should never go back on one's word. A rather noble mindset befitting a hero that is incompatible with the usual pragmatism of the ninja, it has its own merit in a limited number of scenarios.
HISTORY Tatsuya was born as the only son of a pirate couple. With nowhere to live but a wooden ship, he would accompany the crew in their adventures, which took advantage of the village's tumultuous situation in order to claim ownerships of goods and treasure that would otherwise be out of reach. In his naivety and child-like ignorance, he didn't understand what he was doing and didn't even think that his actions could hurt the already precarious future of others. He was simply having fun being friends with the rest of the crew.
One day, things went south when a raid was interrupted by the locals who, already agitated and infuriated by the on-going civil war and its consequences, unleashed the full brunt of their fury on the ship. It was a literal massacre, as the pirates were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of civilians ambushing them. If her mother had not quickly instructed him how and where to hide, disguising it as a game, Tatsuya would have followed the same fate as the rest of those aboard the ship that day. Even if he was fortunate to last long enough until help arrived, he saw a display of violence that to this day still haunts him from time to time. He was around 7 back then.
He would be taken to the local orphanage, where he would make friends that were actually around his age. Tatsuya would stand out as a charismatic troublemaker, easily becoming the leader of a group of a 'little bandits'. But in spite of his rebellious attitude, the spiky haired kid looked up to the man who had saved him, someone who, to his eyes, brandished the ideals of a hero. He would often sneak out of the orphanage just to meet the man, much to his dismay. Eventually, he would 'adopt' him, although given how much workload he had at the time, this mostly meant that he agreed to enlist him in the Shinobi Academy. Not much later, The Sanbi would wreck havoc and add the name of this man to the list of people that Tatsuya had admired and lost at a young age.
Fast forward to the present: Tatsuya is a young boy already facing the challenges of what being a true ninja means. With high aspirations to become a member of the local police force to honor the name of his second father, he approaches the future with bright optimism, and has earned the right to join a squad.
FIGHTING STYLE Tatsuya is a Ninjutsu Specialist who focuses primarily on capturing targets alive. As such one would expect him to take the backseat and wait for the perfect opportunity that would allow him to get the job done. Well, that isn't always the case. Most of the time, he ends up playing an active role in combat, and he isn't afraid to get close and personal even without proper Taijutsu or Bukijutsu skill. In a head-on battle, he would use Kage-Bunshin to overwhelm the enemy with numbers in an attempt to make up for his weakness.
At first glance, he seems like the kind of person that would ram their head against the wall until its brought down, but the truth is that Tatsuya can be deceitfully cunning. He adapts quick to adversity and often finds a way to surprise an opponent who has underestimated him. His tactics will always be simple and straightforward but sometimes those turn out to be the hardest to see through.
His favorite Jutsu is Earth Release: Life Imprisonment.

After the proper sequence of hand-signs is performed, Tatsuya's 'jailing' techniques come to life with a noticeable lesser delay than those of his peers and, once a target is trapped in one, it will take more effort to break free than usual.
Replication Specialist
High natural aptitude for techniques that involve copying items or people using Chakra. It affects both quality of the target copied (how much it resembles the original) and the number of times it can be replicated (how many copies can be created at once). The overall cost is not reduced, but Chakra is spent in a more efficient manner, providing superb results. If the average ninja can create a copy at a time, then Tatsuya can create five, providing numerical advantage within a short period of time.
