Shodaime hoped that this moment wouldn't come, but how wrong she was. Due to Shigure revealing that he would tell the rest of the village of her relationship, she was now on the run from the village she once called home and had served for well over 20 years. She wished she had more time to get her affairs in order, more time to make amends with people. It seems like life had other plans for her. She knew she need to head towards Amegakure. She had a friend there that would possibly be able to help her, she remembered his words months earlier to meet him. She knew Sanosuke would be able to help her, but she needed something to let him know she was coming. In order to achieve this, Shodaime would attach an explosive tag to a tree, when she was far enough away from the tree, she would form a singular handsign and cause the tree to explode from the tag. The smoke would be seen for miles away from both people on the border of Arashi No Kuni and any people possibly pursuing Shodaime. There was very little time, but she had hoped her improvised message would work out.

One of the interception team's core responsibilities was preventing the intrusion of unknown enemy shinobi into Konohagakure. The other responsibility, that one hoped they would never see, the one one's core ideals strained against, was intercepting an attempted flight. Military defections were a rarity, but they were not unheard of. Usually they were from troublesome shinobi. Ones who had great conflict with their families or squadrons, ones who had found themselves grating against the grain of society their entire lives. Not ones with good track records, not ones in high positions.

When Tomomi received information on who had fled, they can't say they were "shocked." Shock implies a level of emotional connectivity that Tomomi finds hard to truly maintain. Everyone is kept at a calculating distance. They can say they did not expect it, though. They've gone on missions with Shodaime. Dealt with her directly. They never struck her as someone who was a flight risk. They clearly need to recalibrate their expectations of others. Twice in recent memory, they have been wrong. They would like to make it right.

The thing about mounting this kind of chase mission is that it takes time. Gathering the relevant parties, working out a plan, setting out tracing, determining trajectory, making predictions. All things that the one on the run does not have to do, does not have to worry about. It's for that reason that Shodaime slips through their fingers and manages to make it as far as she does.

There are two things. Two pivotal things to remember here. 1) A shinobi, under pressure, moves quickly. And moves dangerously. A cornered animal will bite. 2) Someone who was planning this kind of thing has much more warning than the pursuing party. Even if some awareness of this intention comes to light, Shodaime has been preparing for this moment far, far longer than Tomomi has. They will not forget that and will remain vigilant.

Heading towards Arashi no Kuni is no accident. It is a smart play. Any sensor worth anything knows about Arashi's sensory towers all along their border. If there is even the slightest infiltration, they will know. This will cause incident. That can't be allowed. Which means Shodaime will be captured before the border, or not at all.

Packing their puppets in tow, Tomomi moved with the Konoha pursuit group. Though she had experience in this area, she preferred to defer to Kazuto. Still, she would provide the information and guidance she could.

Opening her Mind's Eye, Tomomi filtered through the sensory noise until they could pinpoint Shodaime. Still a bit away, but the group was closing in, surely, soundly.

"We're not far now," Tomomi informed the others. "We need to make this apprehension quick and clean. Do we have any information on allies she might have waiting for her?" There'd been some talk of a nukenin. They might need to be on the lookout for him or similar company.

[Senju Kazuto]

"No." The Senju would reply, giving him what he knew. "Perhaps another traitor." He added in a whisper as they made their way through the forested area of Hi no Kuni. A part of him hoped that this was the case, that they could scratch away the name of two traitors in a single fell swoop. Experience, however, told him that he might as well try to predict weather patterns. He looked at the squad, first the Yamanaka with them being their sensor, Hanako providing an additional layer of eyes upon herself and upon the eyes with her summons as well a zeal that seemed to burn with fiery desire to fulfill her duty. Lastly Satoshi, his skills useful for trapping their prey if it possible. It was a ad hoc steam, but one that he thought could take in any challenges given the hurry that in which they had mobilized to go after the renegade Hyuga. He allowed caution at first, keeping distance but also giving them enough range to operate and attack when the time came. He thought about summoning his wolves to aid, but decided to keep that to himself. He narrowed his eyes as they passed through the branches, try to not disturb the sounds of the forest let they give their position away until he would a flash at the distance caught his eyes and the sound of a detonation rattled the forest critters that were slumbered. Why? He thought, giving away her position rather than just leave, just escape away if someone was waiting for her to just leave. This made him realize, the part of the country in which they where was not a coincidence. Could it be possible that she was having aid from Amegakure?" He would turn towards the Hyuga of the group. "Hanako, tell me what your eyes see." He turned towards both Tomomi and Satoshi. "Can you both detect someone aside Shodaime? Anyone coming from the west?" He asked both of them and awaited to act.

Well things had taken a turn for the worse for Keisuke as the first major choice of his reign was coming to pass for him. Most recently Hyūga Shodaime had revealed to Senju Kazuto that she had been sneaking out of the village to pursue her relationship with a missing ninja Kayaku a wanted missing ninja from Konoha. Keisuke knew of him from the files that he processed now that he was Hokage had access to the information, though nothing much about it was new. When Hyūga Shodaime revealed what she had to Senju Kazuto he didn't waste much time in sending a message to Keisuke through a coded message so that only him at the time would understand it and that no one else would intercept it either. With the message received Keisuke knew about the business she was getting herself into outside of the village. Though Keisuke didn't act upon it for now hoping that things would play out for the good, but that wasn't the case. A little while on from the incident with Shoaime and Kazuto she had revealed to Shigure and Hanako of her relationship outside of the village with the missing ninja wanted by the village. Feeling for her safety she escaped the village leading to the situation that Keisuke found himself in now.

Hanako managed to keep tabs on Shodaime with her Eagles as she quickly returned to Keisuke's side in order to tell him what happened with the Hyuga meeting. Also revealing to Keisuke that Shodaime had fled the village. Keisuke had jumped up from his Hokage table, with anger but also with disappointment with everything that had happened if only if he had acted sooner in response then none of this would have happened probably. Keisuke personally wanted to lead the pursuit after her, but had been advised to stay in the village as things were different now and as Hokage he needed to protect the village. For once Keisuke listened to the advise around him and stayed put for the moment. He then organised a team to chase after Shodaime. The team had been formed with Senju Kazuto as the team leader, Yamanaka Tomomi, Hyūga Hanako and Nara Satoshi. He had given them instructions to capture Shodaime if possible, but in the event that they are not able to then knowing what she knows about the village it could put the lives of Konohagakure civilians and shinobi at risk and he couldn't take that chance so death was the other choice. Been a leader was having its first real test on Keisuke's leadership only time would tell on the course this would take. With the team ready they had already set off but Keisuke as much as he knew he should stay behind he couldn't expect his fellow allies and shinobi to risk there lives while he sat here waiting behind a desk. It wasn't the man that Keisuke was. So getting himself ready with his cool shades, his hero cape proudly on display he was ready to go as well, but first he needed something to keep track of the team he had sent after Shodaime, with a plan in his mind Keisuke would form five hand signs. The Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram seals.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu [Summoning Technique]"

Keisuke said before slamming his hand in an open space in his office before Keisuke summoned one of his Kitsune's a female one called Nao. Nao is quite a small animal, standing around two feel fall. She is quite exotic, hur light white and maroon fur being decorated with a number of bangles, beads and feathers. She has maroon highlights on her tail, down her back and on her hind legs, as well as two black dots on her head. The inside of her ears are blue, as is her nose and claws. Nao looked a little surprised having found herself in the Hokage's office it had been a while since she had been summoned as she looked around with her eyes shocked at the events. " Sorry about summoning you so suddenly Nao, but I need urgent need of that famous speed of yours that I've heard so much about. I know that you like to look your best in front of people, but the urgency is of the upmost importance. I've sent out a team of Konohagakure shinobi ahead and I need you to catch up with them and give them the following message. " Nao perked her ears up ready to listen what was to be said from Keisuke. "Its alright I managed to groom before you summoned me so everything is alright. I'm ready to listen now. " She said before Keisuke would relay his message to her. " The message is that I couldn't wait around while everyone risks their lives. I couldn't ask the same of you all and not join you in the mission. I will be waiting and give me the call. That is the message I want you to relay to them, but stay with them until they send you back to tell me they need my help. Your speed can reach me in know time and I doubt anything can catch you in the woods just stay close but out of sight if anything goes down. I'll be waiting at these coordinates. " Keisuke had delivered the message to Nao and she didn't bother to answer. "Before I forget make sure the message reaches Senju Kazuto." Nao turned and nodded her head before leaving the office via the Hokage tower balcony.

Keisuke meanwhile had finished own preparations now and decided to head out as well via the same exit from his officer Nao had gone by. Keisuke headed at pace. Keisuke was obviously taking a different route but knew the layout of the land well and from reports of the direction Shodaime was heading in he kept to a different route than the capture team. Though the loud explosion in the distance could be heard far away for Keisuke he stopped for the moment before looking up to see smoke in the distance. As much as he wanted to catch up with the capture team he needed to be on standby just in case at least for the moment and would let Nao do the task she was instructed to. Keisuke in the meantime headed off in his own direction to the coordinates he had given Nao to meet him if the team needed Keisuke's back up.

Hero’s "Presence”

This Hero’s presence is an ability that stems right from Keisuke’s own chakra and with how the man is around others. The man believes that he is a real hero, even though a lot of that is self-proclaimed. His belief that he is a real hero has created something truly special for Keisuke. He has developed a special aura, that stems from his hero "energy” [chakra levels]. This aura can be seen by others, though it can only really be seen clearly when he is in the thrill of battle believing he is a true hero. Out of battle his aura is faint but is sometimes present if he speaks of his hero-like desires. Those who witness his aura ‘might’ believe in him for just a second, whilst they will often deny they believed anything. The doubt is in there minds. In the presence of friends and allies, his aura will truly be seen. His aura to friends and allies will give them a slight boost in confidence and will give them the belief they can win even if they are against it. As a Uzumaki Keisuke's will is yet strengthened by his will and determination even more he will keep going until until he drops dead if he has to.

This is so troublesome But I guess I’ll do it.

As they moved in pursuit Satoshi could only think of how messy betrayals were. That and well assessing the current situation as best he could. Obviously he was currently more than likely the weakest link of the group when it came to both raw power and experience.

On the bright side he already had experience in being in these types of situations,unfortunately. Still seeing as he was brought along mainly for his sensing and what his clan hijutusu offered he might as well start helping.

Running through the handseals for the jutsu Satoshi channeled chakra into his shadow. As he did, for a brief moment it solidified into an inky black before three pieces of it tore themselves off and moved to sink into and merge with the shadows of the Konoha shinobi he was traveling with.

As the pieces began expanding and overtaking their shadows Satoshi spoke up. "It could be another traitor but then why run towards Arashi. Unless it's a misdirection, that's the worst place to run off to instead of say River or Forest country."

Pausing for a moment the nara held another hand sign and allowed his sensing range to expand to its maximum. As he analyzed the signatures in his range and the location they were coming from he continued talking. "That or an opposing village is helping her considering the signatures approaching Shodaime, Right Tomomi?...especially since one of them is a jinchuriki."

Satoshi grimaced as he finished that sentence. He was indeed quite familiar with the type of chakra signature a jinchuriki possessed considering he was on a team with one. That and he had also both witnessed and sensed the corrosive chakra of one in action before so he knew the signs to look out for one.

The chase grew in difficulty with this but alas such was his luck. Troublesome but he would do his best to help in bringing the fleeing Konoha shinobi and also return back alive.

Kagura Shingan [Kagura Mind's Eye]
After exploring his innate sensory abilities and thanks to his perfect chakra control Satoshi was able to unlock the Kagura Shingan. This ability allows him to find, sense, and track individuals through their chakra over vast range that exceeds ten kilometers. His able to achieve this effect by focusing and opening his mind's eye, though due to the low chakra cost Satoshi is able to keep it active passively at all times (Range is 15km) and increase the range even more with the use of the jutsu(25km). The ability also extends to telling when a person is lying from the fluctuations in a person's chakra made from dishonest emotions or detecting if someone, including him, is under a genjutsu. Also by focusing on a particular chakra, Satoshi can perceive its location and movement with great detail allowing him to track the movements of even those that are faster than him.

[TAKEDA SANOSUKE™]

It had been about Two months since his meeting with Hyuuga Shodaime. Upon their meeting it was established that on that same day every week that he would be here at Kayaku's shack so that the two of them could meet and continue to get to know one another. Of course, for some time he wasn't able to make it due to some news that was brought to him that he would become the new Ame Lord of the village.

The responsibility to take that on was a big one, but the Takeda believed it was kind of his destiny to take on such a mantle given everything he had been through in his career. Of course this wasn't taken too kindly by a lot of the Elite Shinobi of Amegakure who felt they were probably better suited for the role than himself. In all honesty, he kind of agreed with them. There was still so much he needed to learn about himself and the world even.

However, the village decided that they wanted to go in a different direction, and it was their belief that a lot of the candidates they had previously were too indoctrinated in the old ways. Amegakure had already established itself as a power house so the methods of the past were no longer needed. Not if they hoped to expand and grow upon the success that had been built on the work of Lord Second and Lord Fourth.

In the weeks leading up to his election there was a lot of grooming that needed to be done in terms of where they wanted to go, where he fit in to all of that, and then of course being brought up to spend on all things known only to those at the very top of the food chain. In other words he had very little time for personal relations like the one he wished to establish with Shodaime. On the other hand, his position gave him more freedom to do more of what he wanted without the scrutiny of the council.

His relationship with Kayaku was already well known across those in council, including Lord Tatsuo. Of this was to be taken lightly as they were not okay with a lot of what transpired with him since his first encounter with the man. Shodaime however, was a different case. She had not committed any crimes, and unlike his master Kayaku was still very much so attached to Konoha. There was a lot he could learn from her, but even more so what she could offer to his own land.

Especially given all the things she had gone through recently in her own village. Sanosuke cared little for Konoha, unlike the last regime which wished to shut it down. His main interest was mostly with the clan he was tied to by birthright, the Hyuuga. From his findings Niko had grown quite arrogant and was in a lot of deep shit with other nations. He figured they would be too busy trying to deal with those matters than to worry about what issues were brewing in the confinements of her clan.

It was his understanding that her presence and contributions to the village were very much so undermined. No respect in a clan because of silly traditional factions much like what the Takeda had in the old days, and obviously no respect from the village due to a relationship with a man he knew too well. It wasn't as if she was looking to sell them out from what she gathered, just an older woman looking to experience love like anyone else.

Of course the nature of being a Shinobi and Kayaku being a criminal to the village complicated things, but in his personal opinion he felt the man did no wrong. The Takeda was big on kinship, and for a clan as noble and well known as the Hyuuga they seemed to be more focused on how some of them could stand above the rest. His clan knew all too well how bad things could get with that thinking, and he would make sure this situation would be proof of that.

Along with him waiting not too far from the boarders of Arashi no Kuni, his JITE captain with a few more of his best with her, and of course Squeakers. He was here as a favor based on a previous conversation they had upon finally establishing what their relationship going forward would be like during his regime. Much like himself they still had a lot to learn, but as a Jinchuuriki they had experience and held the kind of power that any Shinobi should respect.

"Hmm... I seems like they wont be coming, but I'm not going to leave just yet.."

Sanosuke spoke as he continued to use his Byakugan to scope the boarders of the land of fire. It seemed like they weren't anywhere in sight, and based on the range of his Byakugan he imagined that if they were coming that he'd been able to see them. Just as he was about to give orders for them to leave so that they could try again another week an explosion just barely could be heard from afar.

Initially he thought he might just be hearing things, but decided to take a look anyways. In the distant he could see smoke coming from within the forest, and while he wasn't certain it was Shodaime he was willing to go out far enough to find out. "I'm sure the council wont agree with my presence here, but I'm even more certain of their elation once I bring one of Konoha's best to our side." Upon those words the order would be given for his JITE to take lead into the direction of the smoke from afar.

What he was doing was uncommon outside of the confinements of war, but if he wanted Shodaime to trust him it was best that he was here himself. In the event it wasn't her he could always retreat back to the boarders of Arashi. If there was anything he was certain of it was that Konoha wouldn't dare to hang out in their lands for too long. Of course the same could be said vice versa, but that was a risk he was willing to take if it meant bringing family in where they would be appreciated.

A grin was plastered on the masked figure making his way through the forest after the Ame Lord. Of course, no one could so much as see the grin behind the swirling black fog mask. Dark hair haphazardly stuck out from behind the mask, it seemed silky and quite nice. There was a lot to be gained from this... Though perhaps not. It was not as if Junpei was a particularly intelligent boy, at least when it came to making his own decisions. In fact, he was horribly indecisive and for that reason was very good at being a subordinate. He took orders well and acted well but he had his own rebellious streak. Loved to talk back and make little jokes when the time didn't call for it, but at least he followed orders.

He was bounding along with the rest of the Amegakure team, two others of his own rank and position by his side and of course the captain. The Ame Lord too... Who was a new addition to the overall team, before, well before he was something else, more among the ranks of Junpei and his comrades.

"Or they'll hate ya for it~" Junpei teased the lord, pausing now as they scoped out the area. And by they, well it was mostly Sanosuke with his special eyes.

Next to Junpei were two others, one of which was named Haruko. He was the oldest of the dragged-along JITE team, but he was also the most unruly. He hated following orders, and he hated this. He disagreed with all of the actions being taken. Having been just barely ordered and convinced to come along. He wore a striking mask over his face to hide his identity, one with jagged lines of purple and prismatic light. Certainly, a unique one among the more standard animal looks. Unlike Junpei whose smile seemed to reach his voice when he spoke, Haruko wasn't so pleased. In fact, quite the opposite.

He had better things to be doing.

"What a waste of time... Someone from an enemy nation no less," He uttered, it wasn't very loud. But if one was listening, it would be heard. Nonetheless, he remained vigilant if only because he did not want to die. Though, his intent to protect this incoming Konoha wasn't to a particularly high degree, because for all they knew it was just a ruse to get an enemy on the inside... He didn't trust the situation for one bit.

And even worse, with the explosion in the distance, who knew how many would be coming to meet them here.

Static chattered over ninety different frequencies and of a hundred possible feeds she could only see eleven. Her body perched within a large tree, closest to the path less travelled. Sat a top a branch not too high from her own lord a crow masked woman waited hunched over. Her maximizer puppets top swiveled over her head, as she'd seem to be looking down at nothing. A konoha shinobi? Hyuuga Shodaime, a jounin no less, to say there wasn't value in her betrayal was foolish. Kinship would be a poor reason in the Elite's eyes, to say she was on board would be a far cry from the truth.

The safety of the villages Ame Lord, as well as the control over her subordinates. These things outweighed the logic of this project. She was on Sanosuke's little danger errand, to which she could honestly see the gains to this 'missions' success. Off the books was often far more impactful than those papers written out by politics. So despite her opinion, beliefs or to a very limited extent 'concerns'. The Elite Jounin waited for peace to pass or war to begin. She was beyond the in between, hers closing in her head, as she'd sink into the waves of dead static. It's sound reminding her of the pelting rain her village was most known, it was her home and yet it wasn't. She knew where she was now, she'd been on the other side of the line quite a long time alone after all.

An explosion. Her fingers barely moved, but all camera's re-angled and she'd do her best to assess the situation. A sign of caution? Or a clear message of distress? There wasn't a clear indicator of either, it very well could of been the fun of a board stray shinobi. No call made by the woman, her body seemed otherwise completely unmoved. A subtle almost unnoticeable finger twitch and that'd be it.

Sanosuke would be certain however that was the sign. Now was the time and they'd act upon it. One none verbal sign from Sanosuke and another would be made by the Captain. The order to advance given, "As they say fortune favors the bold." A very off tone and direct comment of encouragement to her leader. The young had a tendency to be brash and unnecessarily brave. Bravery wasn't something to be punished, she'd support the man willing to be apart of the fray he intended to send others. Granted his lack of experience, it'd leave her feeling less than confident in his plans and even decision making. She however had thought this scenario over a hundred times and was ready to pull this young lord through the fray to better him.

Whispered and perhaps not even spoken, but pre-recorded. There'd be a sudden feed to the three JITE members radio's taking lead. "Konoha shinobi are well known for a wealth of unique skills. The moon settles on our borders and only in it's favor will we survive." Her first words were quite clearly a warning, she wanted to make it clear they shouldn't underestimate their foe and take unnecessary risks without probing the situation. The second was a designator for a tactic she'd often fall into to dominate situations which otherwise might seem dire. It wasn't the type of thing to be lightly used and it wasn't particularly to orchestrate, it'd only work if they'd be able to return combat to the borders.

That said though the jounin would add, it'd seem to come as a more genuine whisper. "Not often do leaders join their soldiers on the fields, if you're glory seeking, then this is the mission to do so." A subtle hint to all the members on the current mission, they'd leave this mission with more than a paycheck for their deeds. This could be the difference between the masked grind and the good life. The sealing move on one's future in a new position, a one without the dangers of their nameless lives. One they'd be able to pass on through possibly even lineage.

Retrieving a scroll from her left bag, Tsuki would open it revealing five seals, she'd summon four scrolls from each seal. Following her subordinates, she'd quickly send one of each scroll to her teammates. Including the jinchuuriki. Retrieving another scroll from her right bag, she'd open this one and hang it over her head. Summoning her puppet at pure will she'd send the wooden construct up into the air, then instantly summon another to join it's partner. Both bird like puppets quickly ascending to give the puppeteer a skyline view of her location and battlefield to come.

Puppet Goddess
Tsuki's abilities with puppets is amazing, it can be argued as the greatest puppetry thanks to her performance of a hundred puppets. Her puppets are almost all unique constructs of her own design, she mostly abandoned the standard build of the wooden goofy haired puppet. Tsuki not only controls a hundred puppets though, she uses them as if they were a living army and overwhelms even small divisions of shinobi or large militia of angry bandits or civilians.

Amazing Chakra Control
Tsuki's chakra control is beyond amazing as she not only casts hundreds of chakra puppet strings, she controls them in such away to re-invent puppeteers. Her abilities going beyond even puppeteering though, as she's able to call upon her advanced element of Joton a less flashy but still impressive feat. Tsuki's chakra control is easily comparable to that of someone in clan known for having great chakra control.

Incredibly Intelligent
Tsuki is highly analytical and is quick to look over many details and still save the majority to her memory. Her brain erases and stores information almost effectively as a computer, as she often replays camera feeds to relive memories, to know she wasn't fooling herself with over confidence. She also almost always thinks out her own personal missions, she's they type of person whose thought ahead not only many moves, but has consider a few cheats along the path.

Advanced Engineer
Tsuki is not only good at making up plans on the spot or deciding a course of actions to be taken, she's also quite smart when it comes to fixing things or designing trinkets. Tsuki's skills go from steam engines, puppet mechanics and even some computer designing. She knows how to work with all of her equipment excellently and is even capable of repairing certain things on the field. Tsuki's know how and know who, makes her a lot of villagers go to for technical assistance. Tsuki's also the most capable in the village at working the different designed surveillance gear, as she's taken it into her personal protocol to fix any of the broken technology in Amegakure.

The fundamental and most used technique of the style, Kugutsu no Jutsu allows a puppeteer the ability to use puppets in battle. While the degree in skill determines the number of puppets that can be controlled, for starters the user can control only one. By making near invisible strings of chakra from each of their ten fingertips and attaching them to their puppets they are able to control the puppet from various distances. However there is a delay between the puppeteers orders and the puppets movements, meaning puppet movement will not be instantaneous, and the response time increases based on distance.

I really can't remember if I'm insane or insomniac

Squeakers did not care for this one bit. The whole situation was a can of worms in and of itself, and to the jinchūriki, the risks far outweighed the gain. He understood, to an extent, what Sanosuke was hoping to achieve with this stunt, but it wasn't something he supported. His personal thoughts and other prejudices aside, this was a risky mission--and to have the Ame Lord himself engage in such a task, when he was of the ranking that he was...? Squeakers didn't approve. He didn't approve one bit. Yes, Sanosuke wanted to handle this personally, as it was a personally-motivated mission. But that didn't mean it was safe to do so.
    And while Sanosuke was much more brave than Squeakers, Squeakers's intense cautiousness had been proven time and time again to be worthwhile. Going against his better judgement in a situation like this put the jinchūriki entirely on edge.
    There was far too much at risk here.
    And he did not like the odds.
    Still, it was something that would benefit the village if it was successfully pulled off. And for it to be successfully pulled off, Sanosuke would need trusted and capable shinobi by his side.
    How much Squeakers trusted JITE, though--well, he didn't. Not at all. But for now, at the very least, they had some capable ninja accompanying them. The jinchūriki didn't like or trust JITE at all--and his distrust and distain toward the special operatives was hardly a secret--but he knew they were among the best, so he wouldn't complain. It was appropriate that they be here, after all.
    While Squeakers was no JITE operative, himself, he could easily fool a stranger into believing otherwise. Concealing clothing, a plain mask that covered his face--and enough chakra to easily be mistaken for a jounin and with enough attitude to back it up, he certainly wouldn't seem like your run-of-the mill chūnin. And perhaps that, too, was something that gave him at least the smallest bit of peace in regards to himself.
    His attention was drawn to the explosion in the distance when it was set off.
    Well, that was likely their sign.
    They were meant to be waiting for Sanosuke's friend to arrive--so for a sudden disturbance like that, close to the meeting location, at the exact time they were meant to be meeting at...
    It seems like a distress signal. That's a make-shift flare if I've ever seen one, Squeakers thought to himself, reminiscing, himself, when he'd been in a similar situation. Not that he'd ever tried to go rogue from the village, mind, but there were definitely times when he had been out in the countryside and found himself in the company of significantly dangerous individuals, and wondered if the only way he'd be able to alert or notify any shinobi in the area of the danger was by sending a kunai with a paper bomb attached airborne. It wasn't much, but if somebody was patrolling in the area, it was enough to convey the message.
    And right now, they were on patrol.
    "Fuck the Council and fuck their thoughts. You don't need to do dumb shit to get their praise or approval, and if nothing else--I think this is risky as hell," Squeakers muttered back in complaint. He was obeying command, but... well, he was always one to speak his mind. "Just know that if this does go haywire, I won't ever let you hear the end of it." Of course, if all went well, things wouldn't get out of hand. And, hopefully, they wouldn't have to risk life and limb to get their Ame Lord out of any danger, should he have actually bit off more than he could chew.
    Squeakers had been in many a dangerous situation, himself, and he'd managed to get himself to safety every time thus far. He had to have faith that they'd pull through.
    With or without that Hyūga.
    Regardless, even if Squeakers was being a crotchety old fart about the matter... "I've got your back though, still." And he'd rather that he be involved in this than have Sanosuke be stuck on this type of mission with... well... people that Squeakers didn't trust.

Nobu and Rasa were out there tracking the fugitive as they were meant to. If anything had happened that was of note, if anything were a large danger, no doubt she would have heard from one of them. As it was… she simply had to keep track of them. Shinobi from Konoha were alerted, a team put together, and they were off. Incredible sensors and skillful shinobi out to retrieve one who should have never been allowed the freedom she had… It only showed that a disobedient bitch should be put down, rather than be allowed to live and bite its master.

"She has contact with another traitor, Hyūga Kayaku, there had been hope to catch them both at once. I don’t have confirmation if he will show.”

It had been Shigure’s hope to apprehend both at once… this had turned into a mess. But it couldn’t be helped now, only the situation at hand as they raced after Shodaime. Coward.

A jinchurriki though… troublesome. There was hope it was a wandering or traveling one with a lot of freedom from its village. Or perhaps scouting with Amegakure shinobi. How neat it could be if they killed Shodaime of their own volition. Not that things could be set up to that chance…

A screech from Nobu would sound out, the Eagle swaying above while he had obviously been following after Shodaime and leading that charge… something had caught his attention. The shrill cry meant to gain Hanako’s eyes as well and Byakugan activated though perhaps distance to be much as of yet.


"Nobu says something is wrong.”

He hadn’t literally said so, but the indication of his behavior was clear.

"We must hurry.”

Whatever it was, there was something amiss. Shodaime was either planning something or those signatures that those with greater senses were picking up were going to prove troublesome. They needed to attack now...

The only true level-headed one of the team of three that had been called upon was coming along too. Though his pace was a bit slower. He preferred to act as back-up, and also as one that took the best commands and strategized the best... Well, his arsenal was befitting of someone who hung back so he wasn't taking the front of the JITE three, he was at the very back of the arriving crew. His presence was obvious, but he was so quiet that he could be mistaken for a ghost - mostly on accident.

There was a stern expression beneath the mask concealing his features. He didn't agree with this entirely, mostly because this could - if he were doing the usual, which was overthinking everything - turn sour quickly. And there was no point in saving or bringing in someone from an enemy village. A Hyuga no less. It could be a long-term liability. Especially if Konoha decided to truly retaliate. He wasn't so sure - he being Shintori - that Amegakure would be able to defend against such a large country moving in on them. They would be caught on the wrong side of the fight altogether, regardless of their economic power and wealth.

But, he was loyal, unwaveringly so, and if this was what he had been told to do. Then this was what he would do. He was silent the whole time even when they came to a stop.

[Hyūga Shodaime]

Shodaime hoped her improvised message to Arashi No Kuni came across well and sent people towards the smoke. She needed to attract as much attention as possible, whether it meant sending any pursuers after her or people who would help her towards her. As she continued her trek towards the border of the two countries, Shodaime would activate her Byakugan to survey the area in front of her and behind her. Shodaime's Byakugan allowed her to see 7-8 km, allowing her to have an advantage over those who would want to sneak up on her. In front of her, a couple of chakra signatures were seen and behind her a squad of people in pursuit of her. She knew she needed to keep moving, the closer she got to Arashi No Kuni, the less the ninja of Konoha could do. It hurt her knowing she was leaving her life behind in Konoha, but there was nowhere else for her to go. If what Sanosuke had told her true, then in Amegakure she would be accepted for who she was and not have to worry about her relationship with Kayaku. That was all the reason she needed to defect, nothing anyone said to her would make her change her mind and return to Konoha.

YAMANAKA TOMOMI

NINGYO/HIDARI

An explosion sounded before them. Shodaime had set off an explosive tag for some reason. Laying some jutsu in preparation or merely sending a signal to allies? Likely the latter, as after she had done so, those signatures Tomomi had been sensing began to draw closer. They listened to the questions and information of their fellow shinobi, trying to keep it all catalogued in their mind and formulate a mental map of the field on which they were acting.

"Satoshi is right. One of them is a jinchuuriki. This could rapidly become very dangerous. Everyone be on guard. If the shinobi of Amegakure are involved, we will have to proceed with caution. They will be even more problematic than a group of nukenin," they said. The information that Kayaku had somehow been involved in this was not surprising, but troublesome. He was not a minor threat. "I do not sense another Hyuuga, so it seems that he is not here in preparation for this. If that is the case, this may be less planned than we feared."

They took a moment to stop and close their eyes as they moved, really focusing on the environment and all the details of the region.

"There are six chakra signatures across the border approaching us including the jinchuuriki. Shodaime is fleeing towards them. There is additionally a fox approaching us from the side - not hostile, I presume. I can sense two airborne objects ahead, though cannot identify them from here."

They placed a hand on Kazuto's shoulder and projected their chakra into him, sharing the sensory information of the field with him so that he could get a reasonable lay of the situation and the positions of their potential opponents. With that established, they would summon one of their puppets.

"Our best play for now is probably attempting to form a blockade and prevent Shodaime's forward momentum. Can anyone restrain her from this range or put a barrier in her way? I can send my puppet forward to follow up."

By making physical contact with another individual, the user is able to transmit what they are currently sensing directly into the said target's mind. This is a jutsu rarely used in the Yamanaka clan, for the amount of sensors are low and rarely used in their team formations.

The scrying wasn't good. Many enemies were ahead of them and one of them was a Jinchuriki. That would prove difficult to deal with even with the techniques his clan had created to suppress such demonic chakra. Not only that but the enemy had their numbers. If he had to make an educated guess then it would mean that it was likely that the counterpart of ANBU that Amegakure boasted would have fielded effectives and as they advanced through the forest following the flaring explosion that Shodaime had set up like moths drawn to a flame he had to admit that their options where reducing by the moment. Without Kayaku here to bag two traitors in one feel swoop and facing an opposing force with a bigger number they had one option left. One he could see anyways. As he felt the touch of Tomomi's hand over his shoulder and further information was given to him he made up his mind, awaiting for the fox that was undoubtedly Keisuke's. "Retrieval is unlikely then." He said, plainly, going through their realistic probabilities in his mind. "The mission is now asset denial." The Senju commanded before turning to the fox. "I am guessing he's itching to come. Give him the news." Kazuto said as he quickened his stride, watching as the fox sped back to his master from the corner of his eye and as a hand began to weave hand signs. "Tomomi, have the puppet follow and harass her, Satoshi try to sense any enemy movement and stay behind me. Hanako I need your Byakugan in case they send something visible our way." With orders given, the Senju could only do what Tomomi had suggested, delay her, buy time, make every inch one she would doubt her step. He knew the rough position where she was thanks due Tomomi sharing the information with him. Hand seals were flicked, chakra build within him as the trees around him groaned in recognition and the soil beneath trembled. Soil broke ahead, tendrils would emerge around the traitorous Hyuga in groups of two, three a handful that formed makeshift walls, swiping at her, trying to reach out for her, to detain, to crush, to stop and delay as he didn'the forest began to take a life of its own as the true battle would begin now. "Double time! Go! Go!" He ordered.

The Branching Path

A true-born Senju, Kazuto has mastered Mokuton. Hailed as the one greatest master of the Kekkei Genkai, his abilities with Mokuton are held in high regard, mastering the many techniques for which the clan is renown whilst also bending his ingenuity to create a discipline of his own referred by those within the clan as merely the branching path and by him as Senbonzakura. His techniques can either be great in power and scope or subtle and deceptively simple, creating either durable wooden constructs, imaginative tools for a wide range of occasions or deadly hails storms of cherry blossom petals which Kazuto wields with great mastery.

Might of Heroes


Descendant of a great lineage, the blood of great and legendary heroes of the clan courses through the veins of Kazuto as they do with any other Senju. As such he has been bestowed with robust pools of chakra upon his birth. Through intense training and countless missions these pools of chakra have expanded quite considerably, becoming a Furnace of Might within him, allowing him to fight for longer periods of time and casting powerful techniques without much concern to run out of stamina. Although this chakra makes his control suffer, his impressive reserves make up for this deficit in control.

Paragon of War

His mind is as keen and sharp as blade recently sharpened by a whetstone. Through the learning of tactics, records, on field experience and on the fly ingenuity, the Senju is able to plan before, during and after a fierce fray. It is thanks to this that he can discern the correct course of action and what stratagems and actions should he take. He is able to read and keep the Flow of Battle as flexible as possible. His tactics range from the most subtle ambush within dark corridors to even the most brutal and grim battlefield.

Fell-Handed

After much study and training, Kazuto achieved the ability to weave hand seals and cast techniques with just One Hand. A rare skill among shinobi and a sign of great prowess, the Senju is able to form hand signs forgoing the need to bring the digits of both his hands together, he is able to string a number of techniques without worrying during a fray to be unable to complete techniques if someone targets his hand, as he is able to defend himself with the off-hand by either the use of a technique or by wielding a weapon.
