Hinata knew where the arena was, that Jun was talking about. He had used it before, though most of the time he stuck to the academy grounds and the Yuki compound. This time around he would be among the more regular ranks of shinobi. He was nervous to train, having never done so with another shinobi of similar rank or well he wasn't quite yet a true genin but he hoped that soon he would be. Either way, it was something that was giving him a bit of a nervous shake, not a visible one but one that was internalized as he finished his coffee and started his trek up towards the training ground.

It took a little bit of time, but he arrived on time as he had promised. Unlike his partner though, he wasn't anywhere near bundled up. Instead, wearing just a very regular jacket. The cold didn't bother him like it did regular individuals so he would look quite odd - as per usual - wandering not so well covered through the streets. Fortunately, most people knew that only a Yuki would do what Hinata was doing and did not necessarily question it. Shinobi had many different and strange abilities after all.

He would arrive promptly and find Jun already standing there.

"I hope you are not expecting a great deal from me," If Jun had some great expectations then she would likely be disappointed. He was not a specimen of the Yuki clan like the Lady of the village was. He was barely a genin, and whilst his Hyoton was supposed to be extremely powerful in comparison to the average Yuki it still wasn't anything impressive considering he was still only learning techniques to add into his arsenal having in truth only recently unlocked the full potential of his Hyoton.

"Oh, don’t be so modest, anything you can show me even if it’s a small glimpse is more than enough, this is more so about you than me.” the girl would twirl her staff a few times around her body.

"I’d like to consider myself something of a tactician and as such I want to know everything I can...and if by some chance we do end up on the same team I'd like to know how to best take advantage of your abilities.” She’d then assume a stance, keeping her staff held in one hand behind her back.

"Now then I hope you’re ready, Hinata!” the girl would then take a few rushing steps forward almost as if she were ready to strike him with her staff but instead would inhale forming a gas within her lungs and fire off a small flaming stream towards the young man. It was a 3 foot long flame that was roughly 8 inches tall and traveled at a decent speed and would more than likely fizzle out if he managed to avoid it.

"He can cool down the temperature of a room but can he cool my flames before it reaches him.” the girl would use this as a means of testing his reaction as well as being able to see just how cold his Hyoton body could get. The flame itself traveled in narrow pathway and would more than likely force him to move one way or another to avoid it less he get a second or first degree burn for his trouble.

During this time the girl would keep her staff at the ready to either charge forward or retaliate if need be.

The user will first mold superheated chakra at the base of the stomach, after which, forcefully exert that fire through use of the lungs and fires it from the mouth in a reaction as if one were to spit. The fire comes out at similar to a speeding spit would towards the target with a flame trail. The fire stream is 3 feet long and 8 inches wide at the top of the fire, and slowly decreases to the base. The fire itself is incredibly hot, and can induce 1st to 2nd degree burns if touched upon directly, and even catch clothes on fire in the process.

Hinata wasn't really ready, he was shy and prone to flinching frequently. But, he was going to do this spar apparently, regardless of whether he loved it or not. The girl ran at him and he would lower his stance a little bit, getting into a generic taijutsu stance so that he could avoid or at least prepare himself for whatever was coming. Of course, he had expected her to do something physically with her staff or something like that. Not spit fire. Panicked, Hinata didn't have a lot of choices and would literally and a bit clumsily dive to the side straight into the snow of the training arena, sliding stomach down along it to avoid the burning flames.

Managing to scramble up he would perform a singular hand seal in response and focus his chakra hard. Unleashing a frost into the area that they were fighting in. The frost was only created by freezing available water vapors in the air, which meant that the temperature would dip down even more significantly than what it already was in the middle of Yuki no Kuni winter to create this jutsu. Furthermore, Hinata would totally disappear in it or rather become transparent. This would give him an opportunity to avoid anymore straight assaults like that.

By gathering the moisture present in the atmosphere, the user produces visually clouding frost by causing the temperature of air to fall below the freezing point, effectively freezing any ambient water vapour in the vicinity. The frost allows the user to become transparent within it. Upon being struck with an attack, the user becomes visible. The mist is visible to the naked eye, but since the user is transparent it voids that sense. While it cannot fool the Byakugan, but, due to the frost being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan-user will see the frost coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the girl would aim her flames she’d notice that he’d duck down into the snow scrambling almost clumsily so. After a moment however the girl would use her eyes to try and track him but would be unable to find him.

"Where did he...go…” after a moment the snow haired youth would begin to notice a shift in the temperature of the area around them. "Interesting...it’s getting colder is this his doing…?” the girl would wonder as the area began to freeze around her.

Sensing the danger from such frigid temperatures the girl would expel a small amount of heat into the air in order to void the frost and then using her free hand if the frost had stopped would begin to spin her staff infusing it with Katon Chakra in an effort to to dispel the chill in the air.

She wasn’t certain what this was but figured it was another one of his techniques and would have to ask him about it later for now she the girl was just focusing on keeping herself warm. But with one of her hands occupied she’d have to be careful she was unable to see the boy and wasn’t about let her guard down in case he planned on surprising her.

The frost was covering the entire area, it clung to the air magically sparkling in the dim light of Yukigakure's winter and somewhere among it all was the Yuki hiding within the frost. It was a magical technique, and one he scarcely believed he could have managed. Of course, there were a few techniques he had been working hard to make sure he had access to, the majority of them were basic Yuki Clan techniques, of course, something to hone his new powers and learn how to focus the energy better. But, it didn't cease to amaze him as he stared out transparent as can be.

She would begin to work herself up, though she would find that the ice created from Hyoton was strangely Katon resistant. Of course, it did not stop her from feeling a little extra warmth but it would certainly not dispel the frost as she had intended from the air. But, either way, the boy took this opportunity to move through the haze towards Jun, he did so slowly trying to keep himself hidden still making quite a bit circle around her. Once stationed behind her, he would make an attempt to lower his stance and lunge forward with his hands clasped together and his index fingers sticking out. A bit stupid of a move but would it work?

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the chill in the air grew and her companion managed to stay hidden in the snow the girl would continue to spin her staff in order to try and keep the area around her warm but during this time would also notice that the ice in the environment hadn’t let up. "So the Ice must be Katon resistant...meaning my eyes might not have much of an effect against him.” however after a moment she’d feel something poke at her rear, with some slight vigor. Startled a tad she’d turn about spinning her staff to strike to the target but losing some of her warmth.

"What’s the radius of this technique how far does it extend?” the girl would say as the warmth left her body for a moment, but once she completed her spin she’d begin to spin her staff around her body trying to guard herself by having the flaming rod surround her body with a series of fast rotations, attempting to retreat in an effort to get herself away from the chill in the air.

She couldn’t keep this up forever...but she did have a good amount of chakra at her disposal, and could at least keep herself warm but without the ability to see her opponent she wasn’t able to do much other than hope for a lucky hit, or keep her ears open to hear for any rustling in the snow. Should this keep up however she may well surrender, but she wasn’t about to give in not just yet. She’d spin her staff with a great deal of vigor the heat creating a heat that would leave a visual after image within the air as it spun around her body.

Ouch. The staff spun directly into Hinata's face, rendering him immediately visible as he fell a few feet away from the girl with a brand new welt on his face. On the side of his face that he was already self-conscious about due to the severe burn mark there. He touched at his cheek gingerly, the heat of the attack coupled with the velocity had left the boy with a bit of growing puffiness there. Hinata would bite back at the tears that would naturally form at his ducts. It was only natural to feel the need to cry physically to expel pain. It wasn't emotional though, purely physical.

"Ugh..." He kept himself seated on the snowy ground, the frost was still all around them but no longer was Hinata himself invisible within it. Apparently, the taijutsu technique wasn't quite that effective, which was unfortunate all things considered. Hinata had been hoping it might at least send her flying dramatically or something from the shock of it all. But, not so much. The boy let out a sigh.

"I told you I'm not very good," He called out simply towards the girl looking down on the ground as he lifted some of the snow he was sitting in and placed it against the spot where he had been whacked.

[attr="class","skullbody"]As Jun would make her turn she hadn’t registered that there was a shift in weight at the end of her staff and it was only shortly after performing her spinning motions that she had realized exactly what had happened. She’d see Hinata on the ground placing some snow against his cheek in order to quell the obvious burns on his face from her staff colliding with him. "Finished already?” the girl would state putting her staff into the ground.

However she’d notice that he seemed to be somewhat crestfallen and would remark how he wasn’t very good. Seeing that the contest was clearly over the girl would motion towards him and extend out a hand, but not before putting her staff back into her strap and dispelling it’s flames.

"Are you alright?” she’d say extending out a hand to help him up. "Come now, I wouldn’t say you aren’t very good that technique you used was excellent had I not gotten lucky with my swing you would’ve surely put me in the hospital, chin up Hinata.” she’d say smiling to him, her words were reassuring and calm since wanted to make sure he didn’t feel too bad about losing. she'd been there before herself and truth be told she wasn't that much better than him.

The truth was, was that fire was something that scared Hinata a good bit. Perhaps the ice he created was more or less fireproof, but that didn't stop him from having freakouts. Of course, as a shinobi, the majority of those were internalized. The burning sensation on his face wasn't a good one though, and it brought up bad memories. Ones that he had to quell with deep breaths. In and out, even going as far as to close his eyes.

What had him opening his eyes again was the light shadow over the girl casting over him. He'd look up, his heart skipping a beat. Awkwardly looking at her offered hand before reaching out and tentatively touching it. His hands were likely cold to the touch. Like touching snow.

"We don't have to be finished if you don't want to be." He commented, almost murmuring the words into himself now standing up. His shoulders would hunch forward a bit, waiting for Jun's answer. It was not as if they had a particularly long training session, all things considered. It was likely worth their time to try and go at it again but this time he wouldn't summon a frost... Though it was still lightly lingering in the air.

"So long as your sure I’m perfectly fine with that.” the girl would release her grip on his hand and then take a few steps back.

After giving him some space the girl would keep herself at the ready to either grab hold of her staff or possibly even take holstering of a few weapons. She sprung him rather quickly last time and did take note that the frost was still in the air but wanted to give him some time to recuperate, his injuries were cause for mild concern but if he wanted to keep going she was more than happy to continue.

"I’m ready when you are!” the girl would remark. She’d keep her eyes trained on him attempting to follow his motions and had a plan in mind. "With his ability to seemingly shroud himself using this jutsu I’d rather not give him the upper hand, I need to immobolize him.” she’d think to herself.

"But given the circumstances that may not be possible I’ll need to be crafty, how exciting fighting an opponent like him truly stimulates the mind.” the girl would say with a smirk on her face. "This is my kind of battle.”

Hinata shrugged, he wasn't necessarily sure but he was not unsure either. Which left him somewhere in the middle - stranded in nothingness. He preferred commands over suggestions or people asking him his opinion because the truth was, was that he did not really have an opinion. He had never been trained or encouraged to have his own opinion. He only knew what was plainly placed in front of him.

Attack. Don't attack. Do better. Get up. Those types of things processed well in the orderly boy's head. But not opinions or suggestions, or questions of his own thoughts. His thoughts didn't matter, after all.

The girl seemed fired up again though based on the smirk and Hinata took that as a signal to start again. He would take a few steps back, he wanted to create enough distance between them that it wouldn't be awkwardly close as it had been moments ago from her helping him to stand.

Once there was enough space, Hinata would perform two hand seals the first one was the same as before. Which meant another hyoton technique. He would suck the moisture in the air, creating a series of icicles all around him, and with a flick of his wrist they would all fly towards Jun at once.

DESCRIPTION:
By gathering the moisture present in the atmosphere, the user creates a formation of a dozen dagger-like ice construct. Upon command of the user the daggers fly towards the opponent at a relative high speed. The daggers are powerful enough to pierce flesh, but will break if struck against armor.

[attr="class","skullbody"]As the boy stepped back he’d perform a series of hand seals which Jun would note as he moved Jun would ready her staff and send a small burst of chakra through it in order to give it a white glow and when matched with flames would make it look to be a weapon on fire in the girls hands.

She’d twirl it in front of her as the icy projectiles would form and come near her doing her best to keep her staff in front of her and protect her from it’s powerful strikes and also keep her warm. She would managed to have a few of them crack against the staff however one would cut past and strike her fingers cutting along the edges. "Gah.” the girl would say as she felt the sting, and feel her blood seep down her hand.

If she managed to get a close enough visual on him however, she'd spin about with her staff to conceal her motions and using one hand would throw out two kunai with thin steel shinobi wire attached in an effort to use to ensnare and wrap his body, aiming to keep his arms and torso constricted using her precision aim she'd been working towards.

If she managed this successfully she’d tug at the string with her hand in an effort to try and keep him still. The wire itself was sharp and was considerably durable making it hard to break out of, hopefully her accuracy training paid off.

DESCRIPTION:
The user channels chakra around their staff, creating a hard shell of energy around it to reenforce their weapon. This jutsu casts a pale white light, turning the staff into a faintly glowing rod. The field covers the staff and protects it from being burned or cut. The field is strong enough to block steel blades and is hard enough that it makes the strikes of the staff harder and able to dent or ding metal. The light produced by this chakra field leaves a faintly glowing behind the staff as it is swung, leaving a small afterimage of the staff that can be disorienting to foes.

Hinata didn't much care for being bound by wire, but he still had options even if his arms were pinned to his sides a bit awkwardly. He looked like a penguin more than anything else. Annoyed but not yet out for the count, he would shift his balance down and sweep snow and frost into the air in an attempt to not only distract Jun but also throw some of the said contents into her face. It wasn't perfectly accurate, but the intention was only to get something in her eyes for long enough to do one thing and only thing only. Perform an easy escape technique soon thereafter.

So, presuming there was some snow in the air and enough to catch Jun in the eyes that she would have to close her eyes, Hinata would get out of the wire with a technique. If not, the idea would fail and he would have to figure out what to do other than his one and only first plan. He wasn't a planner, not really, in truth he often fought without thought, on pure instinct. Sometimes, when his anger got the best of him he would become a powerful animal in combat. Something no doubt his keepers wanted for him to start.

[attr="class","skullbody"]With her plan having worked and the boy being successfully ensnared the girl move back and in that instance a small mound of snow would be pushed up that’d stop just short of her face, with her hand still bleeding however that pain was still on her mind. But with her opponent now being right where she wanted him it was time for her to reveal her trump card. "He was attempting a diversion nice try.”

As the snow was pushed up the girls eyes would change from amber to white the pupil thinning to that of a cat but form in the shape of a tilde as two small dots were etched out from each side, this was the Jutsudo or art eye a special dojutsu held by the Muramatsu clan that allows them to utilize fuinjutsu from their eyes.

After a moment the youth would formulate the dojutsu as pair of seals using her dojutsu and quickly a heat would brush over the area combatting the cold and searing the air as two baseball sized translucent red orbs would move rapidly towards the entrapped boy bringing with them a searing heat that would raise the temperature of the air they passed through.

Should they land on the boy’s clothing or any part of him for that matter. The kanji for "Great Weight.” would be branded into his clothing or even worse his body and cause the weight of his clothing to become equal to that of a quarter of a ton of weight and potentially cause his clothing to feel as if it weighted far more than normal, which could cause him to topple over should he not find a way to escape them.

If successful the girl would break her bindings on him and remove her staff placing it just over his head, however would not light the tip and would exclaim "Checkmate!” in victory.

His heart rate immediately rose in a panic and he would turn his face into the snow when his plan did not work. He collapsed and pressed himself into the snow, biting back the need to cry in fear. The heat was familiar and terrifying. His entire body seemed to seize up as he avoided any sort of eye contact or anything with Jun. Truth be told he was trying to hide entirely, so much so that he only started to notice the great weight on his chest when he was already trying to hide from the heat in the snow. The weight though didn't help his fear much.

Even worse, there was now staff over his head as the girl proclaimed her victory. And the staff had a natural heat to it too since it was Katon reactive, it had a natural flame always warming itself. The boy wriggled in severe discomfort even now with the wires having been released off of his body he couldn't move due to the fuuinjutsu.

"I yield! I yield! Stop! Please stop!" He begged, his voice cracking with genuine fear and plea. It was unexpected most likely, but Hinata had been this way for quite some time now.
