It was the first FEAR since the beginning of Kaguya Toru's regime and it would be a shining beacon of glory and blood. Everything was set, all those that had asked to participate - from near and far - were brought to a room by masked shinobi and in this room, they were administered a significant sedative, of course, if the sedative did not work they would be knocked out by whatever means necessary. And if blunt force trauma did not work, then it would be total isolation of all the senses. No hearing, no smelling, no tasting, no seeing, no touching. Totally bound, restrained, and place in a strange box that would prevent them from understanding where they were.

But, the majority would be knocked out with sedatives in the early morning so they would not know where they were being taken. The group - and a few others mostly nukenin - were ferried to the island of Sekana Me. Those that were normally sedated would be bound with rope, others were in that box if they were somehow immune to regular manners of being knocked out, but also tied up.

They were dumped within the gated grounds of the island where the competition would take place. It was dusk by now and the sedatives would begin to wear off slowly but the ropes would remain around those individuals. They would be easy to undo once they were awake. All of the participants were placed in different locations of the purple and blue zones. Not a single one of them was together.

Hozuki Kyoka would be placed in the southwestern-most portion of the purple zone. Mikatakujira Kunikunosaku is in the middle southern portion of the purple zone. Taki Okada would be in the northeastern most portion of the purple zone.

Takeuchi Rentaro would find himself in the eastern portion of the blue zone. Yuki Enri is in the northwestern portion of the blue zone. Waruichi Asuka is in the southeastern part of the blue zone. Jun Etsuko would be dropped off in the middle of the blue zone.

None of the other zones were open yet. Though there was a visible indicator that one could not cross into one of those zones.

The other participants - wherever they might be - were strewn about in the other two zones.

The terrain of the purple zone was made up of sandy dunes, typical hardy plants living in loose sands, further inland though there was rocky moss-covered terrain. Muddy patches from rain, bushes with very dark berries but other than all this the area was very open where only a few windswept mangled trees stood strong.

The blue zone had similar dunes near the beach, but as you moved further inland onto the island there would be more bushes and tall trees, also mangled and curled from the wind they stood strong in a treacherous marsh ground.

The black zone - whether they knew it was the 'black zone' or not - was circled by two rows of onyx chain nets where an obvious raiton was faintly humming through them in an effort to keep participants out. Though perhaps that was not all.

Ration packs and a few essential materials had been hidden everywhere for participants to find, but they were by no means easy to find. Finding them would take not only a great deal of luck but also keen and sharp eyes. In this stage though? It would be almost impossible as only four had been hidden away.

Once the sun was truly low over the horizon and the colors faded to dark blues and navy's there would be a faint crackling, the birds stirring with ominous caws from their trees as a booming voice would begin to speak over speakers that were loud enough for everyone to hear on the island.

"Welcome, welcome! Oh, it is a pleasure and an honor to welcome you to the rebirth of the most honorable battle royale in all the land - FEAR!" There was a pause but the voice continued to speak once his initial welcome sunk in. "The fun will not start just yet, but I do need to give out a few pointers to get you well on your way~! There are only four ration packs on the entirety of the island - they contain clean water, a few meals, some contain other useful stuff and things but rest assured water and meal packs are in every one of them! Your goal is to unlock the cheeckppoooint~! It's the only exit on this island! Of course, if you find yourself in a pickle just cry for help and forfeit to save your life!" Another pause as his voice echoed across the island. "AHEM! Now a message from Mizukage-sama!"

Another pause, and then Toru's voice came through. It was mellow as it often was for those that knew him, he spoke at an even pace. The speech was pretty appropriate and standard for the event, at least for those that had participated before.

"Welcome. I hope to see everyone at the end alive and well. There are no restrictions, no tactic or technique is forbidden. But, there is only one victor. Fight, show your true self, and earn your glory. There are no allies on this island, all are enemies... I wish you luck, fierce warriors."

The words would resonate through the island, perhaps inspiring a sense of melancholy or the desire for blood. But then, the first announcer came back on.

"Hehe! Very nice very nice! Well then... Start exploring~!"

Here we go again... Kunikunosaku thought to herself in the silent void of the box she was placed. Today wasn't a start she imagined. As to the letter, she and the others gathered at the place detailed in the letters. She vaguely recalls much as it was unimportant to her but she did remember a good majority passed out and were bound. Being the drug-immune babe she was, Kuni received a good head beating in another attempt to knock her out. Finally, they just tied her up and put her in what is in essence, a sensory-deprivation box. A pleasant start, getting the royal treatment of the entire group, what wasn't was being tied up and thrown there. Time was strange, the only reason she didn't go ballistic was the fact they were all there for the same thing... FEAR.

After some incredibly long (or was it short?) time, Kuni found herself flung on the ground of a relatively new island, forcing herself to sit up as she just looked around. Her tendrils were already working on unstitching and restitching outside of her binds. It looked mostly like a desert where she was, and for the moment, that was all she could see. For the time being, all Kunikunosaku could do was wait for her arms to be free from her binds, it was slower not using chakra but she didn't feel in any rush. The sun lowered even more and Kuni got her arms free, quickly actually using her strength to break the rest.

The girl freed her last bind before a sharp feedback and a booming announcement sounded. The girl was earnestly confused where the noise came from but listened regardless. Fresh Ration packs? Destroy those, got it. Kuni thought. A ration pack in a battle royale, clearly those were going to be something to destroy and weaken the competition. Use her boons to her advantage. The announcer changed from whoever the cheerful one is to a familiar voice, Toru's. The Mikatakujira listened to his words while she reflected on the personal drive inside. The Chūnin grinned and chuckled at the thought of free reign and, potentially, free power.

The white-haired girl stood up as the announcer finally released them to their whims. Kunikunosaku scanned her surroundings thoroughly before taking off in a sprint. There was a good chance there were those already looking for the rations to begin with. Having some emergency energy in their possession never harmed people, but Kuni wasn't people. She had set out primarily to destroy the ration, killing whoever was going the same way was a bonus. Kuni set out running to the east, there might be something to get her rush going. The Mikatakujira touched her hand to her chest as her tendril-based outfit restitched into the same clothing she wore at the exams with some minor improvements. As well, she commanded the threads to start playing pong with the hearts in her chest, eliminating the chance of a predetermined lethal strike.

Kunikunosaku was out to win, and she didn't care who had to fall to get her wish.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

With her senses dulled and ears ringing, fear begin to overflow within Enri. Her heart beginning to race as she was released slowly from the grip of the drugs she had been placed under. Golden eyes opened wide, instantly struggling to unbind herself. It was easier than she had expected, which made Enri assume that there was more reason behind this sudden kidnapping. She was meant to break free.

Instinctively, she hunkered down after freeing herself, eyes glaring from side to side as he hands instinctively crept to her shinobi pouch. She still had her equipment. Either they were dumb enough to leave it on her…or someone wanted a fight. This wasn’t her homeland, or at least the environment wasn’t something she recognized at all. Her fingers wrapped defensively around the hilt of her Nuibari, her other hand grabbing its string and leading it, pulling it taut.

A voice boomed over, welcoming her to what appeared to be some sort of battle. Enri calmed herself, taking in a deep breath as a smile formed on her face, softening more as she heard the familiar voice of her Mizukage. Was this a test of her resolve? Her loyalty? Her commitment to her village? None of that mattered. She would show him what she was made of and what she could do.

First thing was first. She had to find a ration pack.

Her fingers connected, forming seals. In a puff of smoke, an owl appeared, circling overhead with wide blue eyes. ¹

"What’s the rush, young Yuki,” Hei spoke. Unfamiliar with his surroundings, he kept close to Enri.

"Scout for me. I’m not sure what’s going on but see what you can find. Don’t fight anything if you can help it,” she commanded gently.

"What can you give me in return?”

Enri sighed. "There are ration packs hidden around. If you can help me find one, I’ll give you a bite.” Hei cooed happily, zipping off into the sky as he began his search.

After arriving at the location for the start of their excursion the young blonde was told to take a sedative not sure what was up she protested at not wanting to take asking what the big idea was, and took a conk on the noggin for her trouble. After some struggling the girl was picked up and stuffed into a crate and would wake up sometime later with a slight headache. "Hey ya Big Blowhard what's the big idea smacking me in da...huh?" As the girl would get out of her crate in a crawl she'd look about at the environment around her with a degree of confusion. "Where da hell am I...?"

As she looked about the environment for whatever she could find the young Okadan didn't see much other than the sea and maybe some sand all she had was her jacket and her other tools which wasn’t much. And after getting her bearings she overheard a voice one that she recognized from some time ago. "Dat kid is da Mizukage?” she’d think. "Man, guess Mom and Dad were right...you really can grow up to be da kage if ya set ya mind too it...but of awl da people neva woulda guessed it was him?” the girl would hear the cawing of crows in the distance, as she rubbed her head.

"What waszat?” she'd say with a startled expression. After a moment of allowing herself to calm down and stop her knees from knocking the girl would bite her thumb and summon her small chimp companion. Upon arrival he too would have a small leather jacket and cap much like hers, but when he arrived he seemed rather confused where were they? This wasn’t the sage village, he looked up at her with a cock of his brow and a small whimper.

"I’ll explain layta, c’mon…” she’d take her a seat and allow herself to meditate focusing her chakra to gather the nature chakra that she needed. "You know what to do.” she’d say as he climbed atop her head and the two began gathering energy energy together. The young Okadan had a come a long way with her sage training with her sensei's help and was now ready let loose with it. It wasn't perfect but it gave her a bit of a leg up on others, making her far stronger than the average genin and she was ready to show what she could do. And while she may have been the smallest dog in the fight, she had the loudest bark and the biggest bite out of em all.

As a result the girl is now able to perform a bevy of powerful techniques for longer periods of time without tiring as quickly as others.

With the rigorous training that Taki's now able to throw down with the best of them boasting monstrous strength fitting for her professional wrestling background, having combined that with the training she performed at the academy has now made her able to performs ridiculous feats such as being able to crush stones in her grip causing concussions and snap bones with her powerful strikes and holds. Taki has also increased the amount of weight she is able to lift by a massive margin in a way that makes her an even more fearsome taijutsu practitioner than before.


[Wrestling Genius]

As a result of her training, and advancements as a genin. Taki's grappling ability has increased even further making her wrestling based techniques far more difficult to deal with and escape from. As a result, her slams, holds, submissions and suplex's are far more damaging and harder to escape from then that of a genin who is not trained in these particular abilities.

[Takeuchi Rentaro]

Early in the morning, he was brought by a group of masked men with the rest of the participants. It was a bit troublesome for him to wake up that early, but he complied since he had agreed to participate in the event. He had been ordered to take a sedative, to which he gladly accepted so he could knock himself out and get some more sleep. After a few minutes, or even hours, Rentaro woke up on the island where the FEAR event was taking place. Unaware of how much time had transpired since he had fallen asleep. "Well, that was a good nap..." He spoke to himself, unsure how long it had lasted, he at least felt slightly better than before. Only to realize that he had been tied up with a rope, but he decided to use the rope escape technique to get rid of his bindings and free himself. It was successful and since nobody was seeing. He proceeded to stand up and casually stretch his arms.

Rentaro found himself in some dunes near a beach and no enemies were to be seen, yet. A few moments later he heard a voice booming that welcomed them to the event, followed by some explanations and the Mizukage, Toru. The only way to escape the island was through unlocking the checkpoint, but he had no clue how it was unlocked nor where did checkpoint was located. But, there was no point in questioning it this early on, he figured he would find out later once the event moves on. He had no idea how long this event would last, it could be hours or even a few days. Although he had some impressive chakra reserves, it would be better if he saves up his chakra, especially when it comes to using his Sharingan.

The first course of action would be to secure at least one of the ration packs in the area, it was obvious that he wouldn't be the first one going for them. Before moving deeper into the island Rentaro tried to test his luck and see if he could find a ration pack on the beach, since it was an open area he could potentially find it. His first thought was to walk further down the beach, towards the south. Rentaro started to make his way towards the south area, paying close attention to his surroundings and the ground below him in an attempt to potentially find a ration pack. It wasn't going to be easy, very few ration packs were around.

Genius Intellect
From a young age, Rentaro has demonstrated to have a high level of intelligence. Although, lacking aptitude in ninjutsu when he was young. He was able to understand ninjutsu theory with ease and has proven to be able to discover possible applications through its knowledge. Scoring the highest in Academy written exams without any issues. Always keeping track of people's mannerisms, strengths, and weaknesses. His remarkable intellect allows him to be several steps ahead of his enemy. Due to this, he is able to see through deceptions and elaborated lies that may fool the average person. He believes that one should get to know their friends, but get to know their enemies even more.

Using tactics that would otherwise be considered be rare and unconventional, is due to the fact he has spent quite some time studying multiple types of combat theory. His intelligence tends to shine through elaborated plans, where he takes into consideration the enemy's strength and the strength of his allies. Followed by resources, time, and other external factors in order to determine the best course of action to deal with the enemy. His strategic thinking mainly relies on small, but quick victories in order to reduce the amount of burnout of his forces and keep the use of resources to a minimum.

Chakra Tank
Rentaro has always possessed high amounts of chakra. One of the reasons why he struggled with ninjutsu from a young age was due to his inherently large chakra pool. Which made it hard for him to initially use jutsus efficiently. Due to the high amount of chakra, he possesses he is able to fight for long periods of time and use multiple jutsus simultaneously without getting tired. This gives him a higher amount of endurance compared to the average Shinobi.

Sharingan
The famed dojutsu of the Uchiha Clan, an ability very few people can achieve. Although, Rentaro isn't an Uchiha, due to the fact that the eye was transplanted to him from a young age. He was able to access the abilities of the Uchiha Clan's dojutsu, despite not having Uchiha blood in his veins. This increases his perception, awareness, and reaction time. Allowing him to read the movements of his opponents and copy any jutsu that is performed by a Shinobi. He has access to all the abilities of the Sharingan.

The Sharingan is truly Rentaro's greatest asset in a battle, but it also acts as a double-edged sword. Due to the fact that he has no Uchiha blood, it means that the usage of chakra for using the Sharingan is much higher compared to the amount of chakra an Uchiha would require to keep it active. Aside from that, Rentaro is unable to deactivate the Sharingan, so it's constantly active. Because of this, he is forced to cover his eye with a black eye patch to prevent the eye from draining his chakra. Through extensive training and battle experience, Rentaro has access to the Three Tomoe Sharingan.

Enhanced Agility
Rentaro possesses agility that makes him excel in combat, allowing him to move faster than the eye can see with relative ease. This is the result of his extensive training to improve his agility to complement his Sharingan's ability that increases the user's perception and reaction time. Because it doesn't matter if you can see the enemy's movements if you aren't agile enough to dodge them and counter-attack them.

Purple Lightning
A rare ability to use Purple Lightning, through studying ninjutsu and chakra nature theory, Rentaro learned to use a much more powerful version of lightning. Just like the name suggests, he is able to generate purple electricity in some of his jutsus that have increased power. Rentaro normally uses this to engage enemies from a distance.

After the day had begun the youth made her way to starting offices for the event where she was told to take and sedative and did so without question her sister had completed a multitude of these in her absence and now it was her turn. She had heard of it from her and wanted to test her own mettle in the event as well. After being placed inside of a crate the girl was put into a slumber and awoke some hours later on the grounds.

She’d grown accustomed to the gloom of the Kirgakure morning hours. Upon getting her bearings the first thing she’d would be to activate her sensory abilities giving her a radar of whatever she was able to sense for the first half mile. During this time she’d overhear a greeting from Toru about the event and afterwards would set out in search of whatever she could find, her heart teeming with excitement at whatever may come her way. But also a sense of wearyness since she knew these same grounds were also where her students would come for their exams and wanted to see them forherself.

She’d never been apart of the event but wasn't aware of the lethality that was involved and hadn’t a clue of the competition but never the less took this as an opportunity to prove herself to the Mizukage, with her probation having been lifted she needed to show him just what she could do. As well as an opportunity to learn and possibly warn her students of their trails to come.

Summary:

Asuka would be caught in the mist and would attempt to strike out at the young girl using the [Silken Fist: Counter Blow] but due to her uncertainty of where to strike her follow through was poor and may or may not have hit her target. However in the process of doing so she was caught with a strike to the gut by her opponent and pushed further into the mist for now she awaits her opponents next move.

Heavy Handed Iron Fist:
With the rigorous training that Asuka had to endure as she honed her body to levels of perfection rivaling that of any martial arts master. Asuka's strength has increased 10 fold to the point where she is able to crush stoned within her grasp and breaks bones of lesser individuals with ease. And while she still has much to learn as a chunin. The youth's power is not one to be challenged lightly, as she is able to perform physical feats that would seem inhuman to even most shinobi.

Hijutsu: Kinu no Eikyō:
Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

Iron Burst:
As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

A Disciplined Iron Bull:
During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

We are violence So, the Mizukage actually had it in him to host the F.E.A.R. event, and Kyouka couldn't really wait to join it. Finding a challenge worth her time was something that grew rarer and rarer as she became stronger, and now even most missions were quite dull. This, however, could make her blood boil a bit, and it was a welcoming feeling. She didn't mind being knocked unconscious, she knew the drill, and in fact, she was just looking forward to waking up in the desolate island, where the challenges and foes would be awaiting. As she slowly woke up, opening her violet eyes and looking around her, she could quickly attest that - for now - she was alone. It was to be expected, they were supposed to be able to wake up and shrug off the effects of the drug, otherwise whatever glory that awaited them would've been tainted. In any case, the woman got up and looked around, while still bind by the ropes. The terrain around her was mostly composed of sandy dunes, with a few scattered plants that were able to survive in that arid environment. She was close to the beach, she could hear the waves. To get rid of the ropes, Kyouka just turned her arms into water, making her binds just slip down from her torso as she took a step forward, leaving them behind. Shortly afterwards, she could hear a voice echoing from all sides, explaining the rules of the event and about the supplies scattered around. The woman checked herself, all her gear was with her, including her legendary blade, and that made her smirk. "That's fortunate." she mused, pausing to hear Toru. She grimaced upon hearing his words, he did annoy her, but it was fine. She was going to win this little game of his. With a quick bite to her thumb, drawing a bit of blood, the elite jounin performed a few handseals and then slammed her hand on the sand. A poof of smoke and a dog-sized mosquito appeared before her. "Oh? How can I be of service, Kyouka-sama? Hehehe." the eager tone in his voice for he knew she was never up to any good whenever she summoned him. "Good morning, Sanji. Would you be a dear and fly around the area? Scout for any preys and let us feast on their blood together." she said with a playful wink, to which the mosquito laughed in anticipation and excitement. With a firm nod, he would fly high up into the skies, keeping his eyes open for any people or creature that could be around the vicinity of where Kyouka was. and this is hell Kaguya Toru 471 words Summoned Sanji. One of the most common and beneficial techniques in the known shinobi world. Simply drawing blood and releasing a mass of chakra from one's extended hand is capable of calling an animal or otherwise to one's location. As a Space-Time Ninjutsu, this technique is capable of instantly displacing an intended summon from wherever they may be to the requested location, though there are obstacles that can prevent this. To use this jutsu, one must first make a contract with whatever they are summoning, living creature or not. Both the size and the stamina of what a shinobi calls upon increases the demand of chakra they must spend to perform the jutsu.

APPEARANCE:
A dog-sized mosquito. Its body is mostly black with a long harpoon like proboscis. Its eyes are crimson red with a small green iris in the middle. It has two antennas coming out of its head, and on the back of its head there is some gray tuft of hair. Its body is black on the top and orange at the bottom, adn at the end of its body there’s a transparent area that will turn red after it has consumed enough blood. It possesses three sets of legs coming from its upper body, and two white straight wings.

PERSONALITY:
Sanji has a wicked sense of humor. He is a cruel creature that will kill without hesitation, but he will crack jokes about it. He shows no remorse whatsoever, and takes pride in the suffering he can inflict on his victims, especially if it involves destroying their minds with his Genjutsu. He boasts about his previous victims, especially if they were particularly strong and important. Deep inside, he is jealous of those stronger than him, and will secretly resent them.

ABILITIES:
Enhanced Speed: Sanji is extremely fast. He can fly at incredible speed, and even if he is reduced to running, he is also surprisingly fast for a creature of his size and build. Once he is on the run, it's hard to keep up with him.

History of the Blood: By drinking a fair amount of someone’s blood (at least a litre), Sanji can read some information on the individual, such as his nature affinity and find out if they have a Kekkei Genkai or not, and what it is about on a broad sense (e.g. if he drinks the blood of an Uchiha, he will know they have a doujutsu that can predict movements, but not more than that).

Etsuko hadn't been the fondest with the idea of being sedated. There'd of been a certain initial struggle to it happening, but reluctantly she'd of been put under. Unlike most she at least had the insurance of Matatabi looking after her in her sleep. It was still an unusual sensation to put forth so much trust, but this was really the Jinchuuriki's purpose to join this event. It sounded dangerous, but simultaneously contained. A perfect place for her to test just how well the combo team worked in the closest thing to practical combat.


Could she trust Kirigakure though? She had almost purposely thrown her name into the ranks a bit late, to give little time for the village to prepare for 'her'. There'd also been so much peace, it simply started to seem hard to see it end. Trust wasn't necessary when one felt the desire to risk it all, if there wouldn't be war, then what else was a weapon supposed to do? She couldn't rest, she wouldn't let peace make her dull. So, as everyone else was stirred awake so would the nibi jinchuuriki. A thin blue veil rising over the rope around her, it'd burn the material away as a very contained flame.

Familiarity was something Etsuko lacked in all of this, but the first time Matatabi gave her full aid was at a beach. Perhaps this was an omen of good luck, it'd be really dark for those without a light. Another thin veil of Matatabi's would arise, but this time around the Jinchuuriki's hand. She'd use the cloaks flame as a light source, her free hand placed comfortably on the hilt of her special sword. She'd be listening to the announcer and Mizukage, but they weren't going to fight her. So really they were background noise. As she'd be somewhat thorough in investigating her surroundings.

She'd move further inland sticking to the tree's mostly, as to avoid trotting through marsh. Her eyes kept mostly looking to spot either movement or the unusual. Movement was what she wanted to seek mostly, but the unusual could be anything in a tournament of shinobi. Rations would be a great find, but she knew her forte wasn't as a tracker.

The evening time would move along, and slowly the sun would set completely - dusk turning to night. In that time, no matter the attempts, none of the packages would be found.

Taki remained stationary with a summon in the northeastern portion of the purple zone in an attempt to gather nature chakra. Though what she did not know was Kuni, was rushing towards the east from about the southern middle portion of the same area. Perhaps Kuni's rustling in the area would reveal her presence. Though it was unlikely that Kuni would outright notice Taki.

Hozuki Kyoka would also remain stationary in the southwestern most portion of her area. Though she would summon a mosquito to scout the area, of course, looking around the mosquito would find nothing other than a not-so-welcoming barrier towards the west and a raiton buzzing one towards the north.

But this was just the purple zone...

Enri remained in her area as well in the blue zone, but much like Kyoka would summon a creature as well and send her owl to search for a ration pack to no avail.

Rentaro would spend his time moving down the beach, also searching for a ration pack and Asuka remained stationary in an attempt to visualize the area around her. Her area ping wasn't big, but if she kept trying for a formidable amount of time well she would notice Rentaro moving towards her.

In the meantime, Etsuko would move inland towards the trees and stay up in said trees to avoid the marsh. She would notice the ominous buzzing of the black zone above all others and should take care to not touch the area lest she wanted to suffer near-fatal raiton.

The island was fairly large and crossing it was not an easy feat, and so after a few hours of seemingly nothing... Though if Etsuko paid close attention to the marsh below she might notice someone or something was creeping along behind her in the marsh - a man in very basic clothing upon closer inspection. But, it was all night and all darkness. But that didn't matter, what mattered was suddenly the voice of the announcer would crackle on the speaker once more, perhaps to the chagrin of a few as he did speak very eccentrically not in a manner befitting an island of woes.

"Wow! Wow! You all have survived so long already! Congratulations~! We're almost ready hehe, with what? Ehhh well I can't tell you yet!" A pause as if the man on the speaker was grinning from ear to ear. "Let's go over the point system, yes? Sounds good? Oh, right you can't answer! MOVING ON! There are quite a few of you on the island here, but as Mizukage-sama said earlier, there can only be one winner! Takedowns - kill or incapacitate - of another participant gets you ONE HUNDRED to TWO HUNDRED points. One hundred points for finding the objective first, this is the key to your victory and it also opens up a checkpoint. You get a sad little ten points for surviving a day, but hey! At least you lived right and got points for doing nothing? Good plan!"

There was a pause again, a long one now as if he were done with his speech. Though his voice continued to echo through the island for all the participants. Then, as the night settled in its most fearsome hour loud sirens would begin to come to life, groaning and moaning ominously, dangerously.

"Oh! I totally forgot! If you takedown our beloved creations you will earn anywhere between ten to fifty points, points for creativity and effectivity and all that nonsense. I'm sure all of you will love to meet them, hm? They have been so hungry for so long they eager to meet you all! Heheheh, here they come! See you tomorrow!"

The voice, the sirens would likely distract anyone from the sound of creaking gates rising and falling. Dark shapes filtered out into both purple and blue zones, if the participants had been vigilant they might have found old, abandoned structures - in Rentaro's case perhaps an old fisherman's house and in Etsuko's and Kuni's cases there was a good chance of finding a sheep house. They provided little cover from the elements and the cold salty winds that were blowing over the island.

Then, a horrifying cry would be heard and it would ring across the land. The strange man that had been following behind Etsuko would be met with spiked ivory legs. Bone and muscle would be impaled and the horrifying cry would be drowned out via the bubbling of the marsh. If Etsuko turned now she would see blood, mud, and hear clicking from a singular white and red shaped... Thing. These were not creatures you would find anywhere other than here.

In Kyoka's case, she might likely hear growling and grunting in her part of the zone if she had not moved, but unlikely would she see anything.

There was also a good chance that in Asuka's stationary position she would get a reading on someone coming closer to her at a very rapid pace... Not Rentaro would she attempt to hide or stand her ground as if Rentaro continued his course from earlier, there would be a good chance that Asuka could be surrounded from two sides on pretty open terrain.

White, leathery skin and eyeless. Number 007 seems to be able to stab with its legs.

They move much like a deer would, but can rear up and fight on their hind legs, however, they sacrifice mobility for using their front legs like swords. They aim to damage the prey and then devour it by picking at it with their beaks.

We're no hero inside, we're the monster you need.

Nothing, like finding a needle in a haystack. The Kunoichi wasn't to keen on circumstances regarding the Ration Packs, and with the sun setting. Kunikunosaku gave a bold smile knowing she has the advantage now, hopefully that sedative they got wasn't strong enough to combat the fatigue that should be coming; but, it was a variable she had no way of measuring.After travelling what felt like a good distance. The Kunoichi jumped into a defensive stance upon hearing the voice suddenly. There wasn't any feedback this time so her reflexes told her a threat was close by, that did not seem to be the case. The voice first congratulated them before trying to humorly give a rundown of points.

The Mikatakujira continued to listen as she promptly continued her search. It was an interesting set of grading, it sounded less than a battle royale and so much more of a last man standing. A long pause followed and the girl assumed it was over, continuing her search in peace, that is till blaring sirens expelled from the land itself. The Chūnin narrowed her eyes. This is something different. The girl would ponder on it before the voice came back. I'm sorry, what? Creations? As in artificial animals apparently starved? The girl tightened her fist at this revelation, what exactly does he mean? No matter, it wasn't prevalent to her right now. In her search, the Mikatakujira found an odd structure clearly somewhere it wasn't supposed to be.

The white-haired teen went to investigate the structure, hoping there was a ration pace near this place, it seemed like there should be, but investigation of the area was required. Kunikunosaku opted to take the time to search what she could in the dark of the night. Her hope was to find one, she kept a cautious eye out for incoming threats. For the most part, she remained to investigate every crevice, every small opening bot within and around the sheep house.

Jiongu | Earth Grudge Fear

After having to recycle the roots that ended up killing the previous Apprentice just to transfer Jiongu to Kunikunosaku, the mass of black roots recollects most of its abilities from the Apprentice previous while forming new ones with its new master/host, Kunikunosaku. As far as the roots are concerned, like any organism, it desires to feed and survive, all else is not required, nor necessary to function. As for the Symbiotic Relationship benefits Kunikunosaku can control the thread-like roots however she wishes. The thread are quite versatile, acting much like surgical threads they can be used to sew up wounds stretch, or harden for attacks akin to squid tentacles, as well as being equally flexible and significantly dexterous. In time, Kunikunosaku will learn that as long as they keep a heart attached to at least some of the roots making up her body at all times, she is functionally immortal, only dying once all the threads are completely removed from any living hearts, and is unable to be poisoned. Because all of her vital organs and their corresponding systems are gone, Kunikunosaku has no need to breathe, eat, or sleep. The roots are sufficiently maintained by storing hearts that are pumping and living, in turn drawing sustenance from them. These roots also allow Kunikunosaku to utilize the inherent nature of any hearts she adds to their body, allowing them to perform jutsu of that element as if it was their natural affinity.

Symbiotic Relationship: Mutualism

After gaining knowledge on how Jiongu behaves and acts, Kunikunosaku developed a strong bond with the Jiongu entity. Accepting both live in her now; that both are what makes up Kunikunosaku. As a result of this understanding and bond, Jiongu aids her in combat - despite being a small boost. When conditions are met, Jiongu can provide an aided strength boost to Kunikunosaku during combat. It is still relative to her natural strength at the time. While this has no speed benefits, this boost of strength can put her up to par with the max strength of her peers at the same rank level. As she matures and gains new skills and new statuses. So too does her strength grow.

Symbiotic Bond: Strong Mind, Strong Body
As Kunikunosaku developed a stronger relationship with Jiongu, the creature bestowed Kunikunosaku an additional gift. That which is bestowed grants her the body as strong as her will. As long as she has the will to fight and keep pushing forward, Kunikunosaku has attained a sense of a strong body. She can still feel all the pain she receives, however, her will will push through it; literally making her body push through the pain and maintain functionality despite the egregious wounds she may receive. Overwhelming pain at one time or other will breaking input can debilitate the girl's will-driven tolerance to falter to the degree of an average shinobi, opening her up to common pain. It is this will that allows her to force the tendrils/roots/threads to repair themselves from injury or stitch back together. This will increases with her skill as she becomes more confident and driven to satiate both her needs and Jiongu's.

Power of a God:
After a great time learning how to control Jiongu, Kunikunosaku has learned to store chakra in each of her threads so long as they continue to be attached to at least one of her hearts. This extra storage capacity allows the girl to amass greater amounts of chakra within herself, expanding her reserves beyond that of the normal shinobi her rank. As with many other abilities, this ability continues to grow as the girl does through the ranks and years.

Cursed Master:

As a reward for attaining a greater deal of control over her symbiotic relationship with Jiongu, Kunikunosaku acquired the keys to the gate of mastering her abilities. This new boon allows Kunikunosaku to double the impact of her EGF ninjutsu. In addition, a passive boon is the ability to completely negate Jiongu's manipulation to consume more hearts. These boons together allow Kuni to further manipulate Jiongu against its basic natures, improving her unique utilization. While still young and unrefined, the ability is expected to grow as their bond deepens to even further levels.

Enri didn’t waste a second waiting on Hei’s return. As soon as she heard his wings flap away, she sped off, her hand gripped firmly around the hilt of her sword as she cautiously began to investigate the surrounding area.

The voice boomed from all around her once again. Whoever it was on the other side, he sounded almost excited about this sadistic game, though Enri wasn’t quite sure she liked what was going on. How dangerous was this exactly? If the Mizukage was here, why was he letting this happen? Enri couldn’t help but have questions run through her head, but she did not allow herself to stay caught up in that too long. She was in unfamiliar territory, though this wasn’t something she was new to. Her time in the Butai taught her many things and remaining calm and gathering as much information as she could was quite literally her expertise.

As the voice died down, sirens rose, blaring through the entire area and ringing loudly in Enri’s ears.

Hei soon returned, resting on Enri’s shoulder with a shake of his head. He nipped gently at the woman’s ear. Enri pat the bird on the head, "I’m sorry, small one. I’ll owe you one. Did you find anything?” The bird nipped once more, harder this time with frustration.

"No rations, but there are figures of some sort entering the zone. I cannot say for sure what they are.”

Enri nodded, beginning to run further inland hoping to use trees for cover and a better visual. She remained low to try and stay hidden. "Thank you, Hei. Please continue to watch the area for me. I’m going to need your eyes this time around.” With a squawk, Hei flew off again, careful not to give away Enri’s location by choosing to not circle directly over her or fly out of the trees directly near her. He continued to use his vision to keep track of movement in the area. Meanwhile, Enri tried to stay high in the trees so that she could better keep track of her surroundings.

As time went on the girl would overhear the announcement just as she finished her transformation, taking in the words as her body would morph itself into her sage mode form allowing her limbs to become slightly larger her hair to become far more unruly and her eyes taking on the shape of that of a gorilla whilst her face, hands and feet contorted to that of the animal giving her a significantly more animalistic appearance causing her to look less like a person and more akin to a monster. As her transformation finished she’d look down at herself.

"So...dis is what dis looks like when I do it right…?” she’d say but after hearing the announcement the youth would overhear a rustling and look in its direction… ”What Waszat?” the youth would think looking around and sprinting up a tree using sheer muscle and then swinging onto a branch and perching herself as looked down at what it could be all the while her small chimp companion following behind her.

"Stay close Aki...we don’t know what kindza creatchaas are out here?” in this state she’d have access to a paltry form of sensory that would hardly allow her to feel much outside of a small radius even less then that of a normal sensory shinobi. But something was better than nothing for now all the girl could do was wait. Just who was it that was coming around that bind for her, she’d find out soon enough.

An alternative for some shinobi who are incapable of using ninjutsu, albeit slightly more challenging. Rather than focusing one's chakra to the soles of their feet to stick to walls, trees, or even the surface of moving water, the user utilizes speed, momentum, and surface tension to their advantage (whether it be naturally-attained speed due to specialization and rank, or focusing their chakra into their legs to attain greater speed as often seen with other taijutsu techniques). When running along vertical surfaces, they must use great speed to start their travel and utilize their momentum to keep going for short distances--momentum is crucial in this technique. Without it, the user has no other way to stay along the surface and will fall (either through, or off). The user of this technique must also angle their bodies in a way that doesn't counter-balance their direction of movement (when running up a wall, one must lean into the wall--leaning back would throw off their balance and weight and cause them to lose momentum easier and fall back).

Opposed to the tree-climbing and water-walking techniques, which apply chakra to the soles of their feet in two different ways to stay put on two different types of surfaces, the user of this jutsu must constantly be in motion--as staying idle or slowing their speed would result in falling and the undoing of this technique.

As a result the girl is now able to perform a bevy of powerful techniques for longer periods of time without tiring as quickly as others.

With the rigorous training that Taki's now able to throw down with the best of them boasting monstrous strength fitting for her professional wrestling background, having combined that with the training she performed at the academy has now made her able to performs ridiculous feats such as being able to crush stones in her grip causing concussions and snap bones with her powerful strikes and holds. Taki has also increased the amount of weight she is able to lift by a massive margin in a way that makes her an even more fearsome taijutsu practitioner than before.

As a result of her training, and advancements as a genin. Taki's grappling ability has increased even further making her wrestling based techniques far more difficult to deal with and escape from. As a result, her slams, holds, submissions and suplex's are far more damaging and harder to escape from then that of a genin who is not trained in these particular abilities.

[Takeuchi Rentaro]

Rentaro carried on his search with hopes of finding a ration pack, as time passed, the sun would set down completely, and still, there would be no success. With the light of the sun gone, it would be harder to find a ration pack. There was no point in continuing his search while the visibility was reduced. So far he hadn't encountered an enemy yet, but a part of him was relieved that he didn't have to go through the effort, yet. He knew this wasn't going to be the case forever and had no idea who he might encounter since the opponents were completely unknown to him.

The announcer spoke once again, this time deciding to go over the system. So taking down other participants would give points, and find the objective. It was expected, but they never detailed what the objective was exactly, the fact that they bothered to explain the point system until now made him believe they were going to say the objective at some point, maybe later or tomorrow. There was a pause, but the next comment mentioned something about creations. Rentaro wasn't sure it meant, but it surely didn't sound good. Considering the nature of the event they were probably some sort of monsters that would attack participants to make things complicated, especially since it was night time most people would attempt to find a place to rest for the night. A perfect way for a bizarre creature to attack and potentially kill anyone who dared to lower their guard. Things were only going to get harder from now on.

As he continued to walk, he managed to notice a structure, an old shack something like a fisherman's house. If he was lucky he could potentially find something like a ration pack. Rentaro made his way towards the fisherman's house, but before getting any he stopped. He performed a single hand seal and expelled earth from his mouth to create a Rock Clone which stood in front of him. Rentaro handed a kunai with an explosive tag to his Rock Clone and ordered it to head towards the inside of the house while he remained outside. There could be an abomination of sorts inside that house for all he could know or even another person hiding. If someone or something was inside there then the clone would attack it and if necessary blow itself up with it.

Rentaro remained outside of the house and watched his clone enter it and kept a close watch of his surroundings. If there was something inside the house he would know if a battle breaks out or if an explosion goes off. He made sure to keep a decent distance from the house, though, at least 10 meters to make sure the explosion wouldn't affect him. If nothing was inside there, then that meant he found himself a decent place to stay the night and maybe slack off for a bit. Too bad he didn't find any food, though.

Description
Iwa Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu that utilizes rock to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Iwa Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. If the Iwa Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural rock state. It should be noted however, out of all of the elemental clones the Iwa Bunshin is the most difficult to destroy, often taking extreme amounts of force or raiton techniques to destroy it.

Genius Intellect
From a young age, Rentaro has demonstrated to have a high level of intelligence. Although, lacking aptitude in ninjutsu when he was young. He was able to understand ninjutsu theory with ease and has proven to be able to discover possible applications through its knowledge. Scoring the highest in Academy written exams without any issues. Always keeping track of people's mannerisms, strengths, and weaknesses. His remarkable intellect allows him to be several steps ahead of his enemy. Due to this, he is able to see through deceptions and elaborated lies that may fool the average person. He believes that one should get to know their friends, but get to know their enemies even more.

Using tactics that would otherwise be considered be rare and unconventional, is due to the fact he has spent quite some time studying multiple types of combat theory. His intelligence tends to shine through elaborated plans, where he takes into consideration the enemy's strength and the strength of his allies. Followed by resources, time, and other external factors in order to determine the best course of action to deal with the enemy. His strategic thinking mainly relies on small, but quick victories in order to reduce the amount of burnout of his forces and keep the use of resources to a minimum.

Chakra Tank
Rentaro has always possessed high amounts of chakra. One of the reasons why he struggled with ninjutsu from a young age was due to his inherently large chakra pool. Which made it hard for him to initially use jutsus efficiently. Due to the high amount of chakra, he possesses he is able to fight for long periods of time and use multiple jutsus simultaneously without getting tired. This gives him a higher amount of endurance compared to the average Shinobi.

Sharingan
The famed dojutsu of the Uchiha Clan, an ability very few people can achieve. Although, Rentaro isn't an Uchiha, due to the fact that the eye was transplanted to him from a young age. He was able to access the abilities of the Uchiha Clan's dojutsu, despite not having Uchiha blood in his veins. This increases his perception, awareness, and reaction time. Allowing him to read the movements of his opponents and copy any jutsu that is performed by a Shinobi. He has access to all the abilities of the Sharingan.

The Sharingan is truly Rentaro's greatest asset in a battle, but it also acts as a double-edged sword. Due to the fact that he has no Uchiha blood, it means that the usage of chakra for using the Sharingan is much higher compared to the amount of chakra an Uchiha would require to keep it active. Aside from that, Rentaro is unable to deactivate the Sharingan, so it's constantly active. Because of this, he is forced to cover his eye with a black eye patch to prevent the eye from draining his chakra. Through extensive training and battle experience, Rentaro has access to the Three Tomoe Sharingan.

Enhanced Agility
Rentaro possesses agility that makes him excel in combat, allowing him to move faster than the eye can see with relative ease. This is the result of his extensive training to improve his agility to complement his Sharingan's ability that increases the user's perception and reaction time. Because it doesn't matter if you can see the enemy's movements if you aren't agile enough to dodge them and counter-attack them.

Purple Lightning
A rare ability to use Purple Lightning, through studying ninjutsu and chakra nature theory, Rentaro learned to use a much more powerful version of lightning. Just like the name suggests, he is able to generate purple electricity in some of his jutsus that have increased power. Rentaro normally uses this to engage enemies from a distance.

JUST REMEMBER , ANYONE CAN MAKE A FIST

As the girl sent out her pulse to see what she could find in the area around her she’d notice two distinct signatures coming her way. As she waited she’d hear about the rules and how she’d gain points for incapacitating targets, the voice that spoke seemed to have a rather enthusiastic tone for something that sounded almost barbaric. Along with that the Mizukage’s voice would accompany their lines. "Hmm so that’s the point to net as many points as possible while also surviving, but creatures…?” that was what raised the girls brow but at the same time she’d notice something coming her way on her radar.

This would prompt her to think. "Something’s coming and it has a relatively small chakra signature, But there’s two of them?” with that the girl would keep herself hidden amongst the trees using a special technique to disguise herself amongst the rubble. But not before tempering her bandages in order to give her strikes an extra degree of power behind her blows since she was more than likely going to have to fight her way past whatever came her way.

Hopefully for her the points she’d eventually net would be easy to earn lest she set herself up for something far worse then she could’ve imagined. She wasn’t sure what she was up against but she’d keep on guard to make certain she could get the upper hand on whatever was coming her way.

DESCRIPTION:
After performing a handseal, the user will channel their chakra to shape and fold the silk, the user will then harden said shape to be about as hard as tempered steel. The user can use this technique to make blades, protective spikes, all manner of weapons really. The weapons are as sharp and as hard as any weapon made from tempered steel, and seem to hold all the same properties as well.

MOVEMENT TECHNIQUES:


Summary:

Asuka would be caught in the mist and would attempt to strike out at the young girl using the [Silken Fist: Counter Blow] but due to her uncertainty of where to strike her follow through was poor and may or may not have hit her target. However in the process of doing so she was caught with a strike to the gut by her opponent and pushed further into the mist for now she awaits her opponents next move.

Heavy Handed Iron Fist:
With the rigorous training that Asuka had to endure as she honed her body to levels of perfection rivaling that of any martial arts master. Asuka's strength has increased 10 fold to the point where she is able to crush stoned within her grasp and breaks bones of lesser individuals with ease. And while she still has much to learn as a chunin. The youth's power is not one to be challenged lightly, as she is able to perform physical feats that would seem inhuman to even most shinobi.

Hijutsu: Kinu no Eikyō:
Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

Iron Burst:
As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

A Disciplined Iron Bull:
During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

We are violence Kyouka waited there while Sanji scouted the area, she was choosing the careful approach. When he was finally back, the jounin smirked at the creature. "So, what did you find?" she asked, but quickly noticed that Sanji was almost disappointed and that prompted her smirk to immediately fade away. However, there's a nasty looking barrier west of here, and a Lightning Release buzzing to the north, so that doesn't look good for you." he explained and she nodded, pondering on her course of action for a short moment. Go ahead, flying high and if you see anything, let me know in advance." and with a firm nod, the mosquito would fly high up in the sky and head eastward, the same direction Kyouka was now heading towards. She was keeping her eyes wide open, looking all around her. The pace was no faster than a stride, as she wanted to be ready if anything came her way.
