The outskirts of Kirigakure had many different locations to explore, and as a shinobi there were certainly times where such adventures were required. With the way that Kirigakure was going, enemies could be scouting around anywhere. Unacceptable for the shinobi that were in charge of protecting the people.

That's how Kasumi found herself where she was now, halfway up the side of a steep cliff. She was using the mundane mission as an excuse to train, really. If she wanted a hope in the chunin exams, her physical power would need to be peak.

"Sheesh... they'd have to be really determined to try hiding up here, though." There was a chill in the air. Both from the season and the altitude. She wondered if anyone had ever even checked this spot before. "Hnnn.... but what's that doing here?"

A habit of talking to herself when she was alone was hard to break. Kasumi did not appreciate the silence. Her eyes had fallen on a suspicious looking cave in the side of the mountain. It could be natural, or something could be hiding in there. Maybe the mundane task wasn't so mundane after all.

With a hand on her sword, Kasumi approached the cave with caution. She had no idea what she could find inside.

Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a medium drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Kenjutsu Training:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Large Chakra Reserves:
Kasumi was born with higher than average chakara reserves, letting her use more chakara and jutsu without being exhausted. A natural gift from her lineage. She has learned how to properly take advantage of these reserves.

The island nation of Mizu no Kuni, a far cry from his usual destination within the mainland. Not to toot his own horn, but Kayaku felt as if he had become somewhat of a well traveled, wordly sort of guy… Mizu no Kuni however, was one of his least traveled, not by choice mind you, more so it was too isolated from the mainland. The Hyuga enjoyed his freedom more than anything, being away from the mainland made him feel trapped and confined. Not only that but it was fairly difficult for him to get a boat ride from the mainland to Mizu no Kuni and vice versa.

Today however, was one of those rare occasions where Kayaku was able to visit Mizu no Kuni; albeit not on the big island where Kirigakure was hidden. He had some ties to the village in his past, years ago he and the Mizukage Ichikawa Shin, were allies during Kayaku's Shakar days. Kayaku had never actually stepped foot in or near the village, Shin was great at giving some leeway to seem forthcoming, and to stop Kayaku's nagging. However he had never once invited the then Shakage, to the Hidden Mist.

Instead, Kayaku was allowed to visit the nearby islands of Mizu no Kuni, mostly the training fields and tourist areas but never near anything worth noting. Sitting on the edge of a large cliff that overlooked the shore, Kayaku's Byakugan pierced through the thick mist between the island he was on and the big island where the notorious mist Shrouded village was founded. Kayaku focused his enhanced sight just enough to see the beach of the main island; he didn't feel the need or want to scour the island for the famous Kirigakure. Yes, technically he is a criminal, however Kayaku has devoted the rest of his life to achieving enlightenment. The spats between the shinobi nations were no longer his to worry about.

After taking in the sights, Kayaku stood from the ledge of the nearly black stone cliff, it plateaued the further away you moved from the cliff's edge. "Alright! Break is over get your bear asses out here" Kayaku exclaimed, towards a large hole or entrance naturally formed on top of the jagged plateau. Moments later, two large bears, one cladded in armor emerged from the opening. Barrelling straight for the Hyuga, both would bellow a roar that seemed to rattle the man's bones from the inside out. Despite the terrifying scene before him, Kayaku held his ground and faced the two bears head on.

 The first to reach him was a large black bear that stood several feet above the Hyuga, the beast attacked using its massive clawed paws, "Knaifu" it snarled attempting to end the bout with brute force. He knew not to let even one of Akuma's strikes to land, so he'd stop the attack before it could reach him. "Jūho: Ikkotsu" Kayaku said after punching the air towards Akuma, aiming the attack at the black bears gut. Although his fist didn't connect, a slightly visible burst of chakra, shaped like Kayaku's fist did. The force of the chakra fist sent Akuma hurtling backwards.

Before Kayaku could continue his assault, the armor-clad polar bear appeared to the Hyuga's side, aiming to liberate his head from it's shoulders with a Raiton enhanced claw. Kayaku didn't have time to counter Koi's attack, so he'd use Kaiten to defend against the large ice bear. Kaiten neutralized the attack before sending Koi flying further than Akuma, the black beast of a bear had 

"Yikes! What are you two trying to do?! Kill me?!" The Hyuga exclaimed before turning towards the ledge where he had been sitting. "We have company…" the two bears showed their gnarled fangs, readying themselves for a battle with Kirigakure officials. "Calm your bear tits. It's a genin..." Kayaku added as the younger ninja's body finally appeared over the ledge.

"Oi! Good morning!" The Hyuga said despite it being mid-day, a little after noon.

Byakugan Master

One of Kayaku's trademark abilities is his Byakugan, with the other two being his Taijutsu and chakra control. While the Byakugan is very common within in his clan, Kayaku's is especially powerful. With his eyes, he has a near-360° penetrative field of vision, with a small blind-spot exists behind his third upper-thoracic vertebrae. Kayaku's Byakugan gives him the ability to see chakra, which it can do to a greater degree than the Sharingan, with it he can identify chakra by the specific individuals it originates from and determine when genjutsu is being used. Kayaku's ability to see chakra is acute enough to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that run along it, including the Eight Chakra Gates, additionally his vision can penetrate through most solid objects and obstructions, however certain barriers may distort his Byakugan's perception

The range of this vision varies between clan members, however Kayaku has refined both his long range and close range visual prowess. When focusing his vision in a single direction, Kayaku can see across vast distances, reaching as far away as 15 kilometers, while at close distances his Byakugan grants his attacks pinpoint accuracy, allowing him to magnify in on the slightest movements of his opponents body and inturn move to dodge or intercept. Lastly, Kayaku's Byakugan is able to follow high-speed movements, which allows the him to react better under entense situation. With that being said Kayaku's prowess with his Byakugan is such that it allows him to see the faintest movements of his opponents body, see fast-moving objects or opponents, chara and his opponents Organs, simply put Kayaku has one of the strong Byakugan's to hail from the clan.

Agility of the Rabbit

Over the years, Kayaku has gained a high level of agility, this coupled with the added visual prowess granted to him by his Byakugan has also endowed him with impressive evasive skills. Utilizing both his agility and the dojutsu allows him to dodge, evade and even counter the trickiest of attacks. Kayaku has also learned to read his enemies' attack patterns with the Byakugan, which greatly increases his already potent evasive skills. This is done by Kayaku paying close attention to the enemie's chakra system and body movements, allowing Kayaku to basically see when his opponent is about to attack.


Enhanced Physical Speed

Even without speed enhancing jutsu, Kayaku is naturally fast and now thanks to the tremendous raw strength in his legs, Kayaku's natural speed is more than enough to keep shinobi busy during battle. Allowing him to move fast enough to instantly close a gaps between him and his opponent. In battle, he can strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for his opponents to find an opening and counterattack. This allows him to react to the visual information given to him by his Byakugan, such as seeing incoming projectiles, or enemy jutsu or even dodging close range attacks that would be impossible to do so otherwise.

Matchless Man

Kayaku has gained a large degree of physical strength as a result of his life long Taijutsu training. Admittedly, Kayaku had intended to increase his striking power but unintentionally found many different uses for his unimaginable strength. Now honed to elite shinobi standards and possibly higher, Kayaku's strength is no doubt top tier. Kayaku's strength is mostly displayed is in his ability to seemingly punch, break or attack through anything. Whether this is attributed to the use of chakra or strength alone has yet to be determined. However, with his natural strength alone Kayaku can easily punch through most objects such as flesh, bones and wood, with the use of a chakra his striking power could extend to concrete, steel and even chakra constructs. As mentioned above, this strength also comes in handy with other situations as well, being a taijutsu master, Kayaku can easily attack or Defend against most his opponent's attacks with his bare hands.

Endurance of the Taijutsu Master

Another one of Kayaku's defining traits is his extreme level of physical endurance, like his physical strength Kayaku has trained his entire body in order for him to survive deadly attacks that was attributed to Taijutsu but in later years ninjutsu as well. Allowing him to survive most attacks or continue fighting with injuries capable of bringing even jounin to their knees. This, coupled with his incredible strength, make him an incredibly fearsome foe if forced to fight seriously.

Hyuga's Chakra Prowess

Like all Hyuga clan members Kayaku was born with an inherent ability to expel chakra from any or all Tenketsu, over the Years Kayaku has mastered the use of this ability and has gained exceptional amount of control of his chakra, It usually takes a shinobi a great deal of time and training to gain just an average amount of chakra control. However, in Kayaku's case things were different. Even as a young child, Kayaku was able to mould his own chakra. Now, as an adult and an S ranked Missing-nin, Kayaku's chakra control is otherworldly. Kayaku's innate talent allows him to precisely gather chakra from any part of his body and use any of his techniques to its maximum potential with no wasted chakra or timing. Kayaku has expanded his chakra control to the point that he is able to rapidly accumulate large amounts of chakra within his body without his enemies noticing, and unleash it from any tenketsu without any wasted effort.

DESCRIPTION:
One of the first jutsu Kayaku created using the Gentle Fist or more specifically the Gentle Step: Guardian lion jutsu as a basis. First bone is one of the more external technques than is typical of Gentle Fist discipline, Juho: Ikkotsu is a jutsu that allows the user to create small, compressed formations of chakra that can be fired off the fists the user. This is similar to some Gentle Fist techniques, in the sense that it involves the firing of compressed or solidified chakra at an enemy in a distinct fashion. However, with this jutsu the user does not create a single great stream of chakra as done with techniques such as the Vacuum Palm technique. Instead it release, fist sized "bullets" of chakra to attack their target from afar. Despite not having a large range the force of the chakra is strong enough to knock the wind from it's target or break a ribs, depending on where the jutsu lands. Because of the nature of this jutsu, the users mainly use jabs instead of hooks or palm thrusts. The range of this jutsu is 5 meters from the user's fist.

A secret jutsu only handed down within the main house of the Hyuga clan. For this technique the user is expected to expel a huge amount of chakra from all the chakra points from a user’s body and start rotating their bodies. This will create a barrier around the user, which will shield them from nearby attackers, tossing and deflecting them away. The user can actively control the size of the sphere and thus make it bigger or smaller depending on the situation. If the user can not spin, however, their protective field will become weak and vulnerable.

As Kasumi closed in on the suspicious area, the sounds of a battle rang in her ears and the scenery and it's beauty seemed to be lost on her. She rested a hand on her sword, slowly creeping towards the ledge, hoping not to be spotted quickly. Her hopes were shattered immediately, though as the man called out to her the second her head popped up.

Were those BEARS standing next to him?

The snarling creatures were definitely intimidating, and Kasumi paled a bit. This could be an extremely dangerous situation if she wasn't careful.

"G-good morning... what the Hell is happening here?"

She didn't recognize the man, but she found it hard not to notice his strange looking eyes. Was he blind or something? It could be one of those eye bloodlines she's heard of. If it was, this would be even more trouble for her.

"Those bears are so cool, though." That one just slipped out, and Kasumi straightened her back and turned red in embarrassment, "Uh- like super scary kind of cool. You're not going to kill me, are you?"

The younger Kunoichi was cautious at first, something Kayaku could understand, however once she noticed who or what was accompanying the Hyūga her caution had literally faded from existence. What replaced it was an odd mix of curiosity and assertiveness. She'd quickly demand what was going on, piqued by her brazen demeanor despite the obvious difference in strength between them Kayaku decided to oblige the young woman's curiosity. "Me and my brothers are simply training. To be honest, it has become difficult to get the two of them together like this" he said simply, a devious smile etched across his face.

The two gigantic bears eventually walked towards Kayaku to stand at his sides; opposite each other. Koibito stood on Kayaku's right and Akuma to his left. Akuma snarled a bit as his eyes fixated on the young Kirigakure shinobi. "We should prepare for battle, Kayaku; There's probably more shinobi heading right for us" the ominous, pugnacious black bear, Akuma said. The girl across from them would speak about him trying to kill her immediately after Akuma's advice, her words were unexpected though warranted.

"Although It's quite difficult for me to step on an ant without crushing it. You have no need to worry. I'm not looking to kill anyone" Kayaku had a way with words that was fairly theatrical, his low tone and smooth deep voice enveloped his words with a sense of ominous mysticism, yet simultaneously genuine. His choice of words were always that of pomp and circumstance, despite his decline into depravity. Such flair for theatrics and aristocracy were ingrained in him by the Hyuga clan and is just as definitive of his personality as is his proclivity to commit criminal offenses or train the random stranger.

"That is so long as my own freedom and life isn't jeopardized" the Hyuga added swiftly.


"So tell me… are you enjoying your morning? It's not everyday one comes face to face with a missing-nin" said Koibito, the all white polar bear covered in armour. Small talk was meaningless to some people though it something Kayaku done often. Eventually, even his mighty summons who were considered family began to initiate simple small talk with just about everyone. Kayaku and by extension his brothers felt as though even enemies deserved the right to be treated as a human and that one would be surprised by how similar people actually were.

After all, One does not know what one doesn't know...

Kasumi's caution proved to be well founded as the man explained himself. He was training - against literal bears. A wild concept, but they must be summons of some kind considering their intelligence and strange appearances. Then he openly admitted to being a missing nin.

That made the girl scowl a bit, glancing back towards the village.

"Well, my morning is certainly interesting. I can say that much at least." An honest answer. She was supposed to arrest the man and bring him in, but she knew she had no chance against the man. "I've never met a missing nin before. This is certainly a tough spot to be in."

She was visibly uncomfortable. Torn between testing herself against the man and the massive animals and running back to the village. She wasn't a coward though, so there was no chance she'd run. It left one option, she guessed. When she spoke next, she swallowed big first and her words came out meekish and nervous against her will.

"I'm going to have to ask you to come with me, though."

She might be in trouble, but at the least she had the heart to try. The missing nin would notice the determination on her face was clear. Maybe even a commendable fact.

The two large ursines both bursted into a fit of hysterical laughter, the fit made the roll along the ground, pound the earth beneath then run their strong paws and gasp for air. Kayaku's face dropped, his otherwise cool and ominous persona destroyed by the cackling pair. "And just what is it that you two find so funny?!" He said to his brothers. The two bears took a minute to respond, the longer it took the more embarrassed Kayaku had become.

"Missing-nin? You? Ha! Do not let my brother fool you. He hasn't been much of a criminal in years!" Akuma stated, gasping for air in between every other word. Koibito, the armor-clad white bear was the last of the two to finish their honest and quite warranted reaction, the beast's mouth of razor sharp teeth on full display. Then things would get tricky…

"I'm going to have to ask you to come with me, though."

Her words caused the air between the four of them to thicken with tension, a brief silence fell upon the group before Akuma, Koibito and Kayaku all bursted into a laughter. The hysterical fit of enjoyment caused their abdomen to hurt in what was the most enjoyable cramp they've experienced in a very long time. The three of them rolling along the ground falling into each other and gasping for air. For a moment before, Kayaku noticed the determination on the young Kunoichi's face.

"Ehhh?! You're serious?!" The man said, abruptly stopping mid-fit of laughter that placed him underneath both of his brother's large body. "Well then… I should respect you as a Shinobi and not undermine your resolve" he said calmly, before using his physical strength to lift the two large summons off of his body. Standing to his feet with both his brother's suspended above him with a single arm, he'd then effortlessly toss them to the side. Akuma, the ravenous and quick to anger of the two summons quickly jumped to his paws, standing on all fours; now growling, the bear's somewhat calm nature had faded within a moments notice. Koibito, had moved to the left side of Kayaku, and stood on two it's two hind legs, opposite Akuma who was on Kayaku's right-hand side.

"Now, now, you two, calm down! She's just doing her duty as a Kunoichi. Just as you two are doing for me right now" Kayaku responded to the bear's actions after the girl had basically attempted to arrest their brother. "Before you arrest me, mighty heroine of the misty isles. Allow me to give you some advice" he paused momentarily, his powerful byakugan surveyed the surrounding areas both land and at sea before he continued.

"The line between confidence and arrogance is very fine. And the line between arrogance and stupidity is even finer" the Hyuga stopped speaking yet again and turned his back towards the girl, before walking towards the hole within the plateaued cliff. He hummed slightly as he contemplated on how to handle the situation. Suddenly, he'd turn back around and close in the gap between himself and the girl, stopping just enough to where the tip of their noses were literally poking each other.

The man and his bears were laughing at her, which made the Genin frown slightly. She had no business challenging the man to a fight, reall, and she knew that. Didn't mean they had to laugh at her, though!

"Arrogance, confidence, or stupidity... you misunderstand. It isn't about any of those things. I have a village, one I haven't given up on. It's about duty and honor."

She drew her sword, the bone sword with special properties. It might be enough to give her a fighting chance, at the least. The man turned his back on her, and gave her an opening... but Kasumi didn't move to take advantage of it. He had given her respect, she wasn't about to stoop to hitting him in the back to start their fight.

"I wouldn't be able to return to my village if I didn't know at least that I tried my best, you know. My ability to look myself in the mirror is worth more than any arrogance, confidence, or stupidity."

The man turned around, and in a flash was nose to nose with her. Kasumi's eyes widened like saucers for only a moment before her instincts kicked in.

Kasumi has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a medium drain on Kasumi's chakara.

Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

His byakugan, which was nearly always active, saw the slightest movements her body had made. The tension in her muscle, the brief moment when her heartbeat and breathing seemingly stopped, she steeled her mind and heart to go forward with what could very well be signing off on her own death certificate. Kayaku, being the devil's advocate, waited to see if she would really go through with whatever she was planning. And she did it… the girl was either blinded by duty, stupidity or all of the above. Luckily, Kayaku wasn't in the business of killing genin, he'd use the jutsu known as Shrouded Heaven, to shield himself from the blow, before extending the pulse suddenly to knock the girl back a couple feet.

"You really did it?" the Hyuga said surprisingly, Akuma was quick to move behind the girl to keep her from falling over the edge. Although he wouldn't admit it right now, he was beginning to like the girl. She had the wild spirit of the Rotu bear's within her, Kayaku looked at Akuma and with an expression of utter disbelief. "Akuma? So you've noticed it too. It took a while, though I guess it's easier for me because I can see her chakra. This girl, she's a wild one, just like us" Kayaku said to Akuma as the girl wasn't even there.

Sighing, before giving a stern look to Akuma who'd simply nudge the girl from the edge of the cliff before laying on the sidelines. Koibito looked between Kayaku and Akuma, wondering what had transpired in that brief moment. "It's fine Koi, this little one is our sister" Kayaku said flatly, his byakugan taking in the sight of her beast like chakra. He'd then utilize the summoning jutsu to bring forth a large scroll, Akuma had already made up his mind and wasn't taken aback by the action, Koibito on the other hand was still quite shocked by what Kayaku was planning on doing.

"Soooo, I'm not going with you! Let's be that clear brat. However… I've seen a wild wonderful spark within you. Prove to me this isn't just some random occurrence then well… you'll be considered family." The Hyuga said holding the scroll underneath his left arm, Akuma moved to sit on the girl's side of the cliff, while Koibito stood firmly with Kayaku.

"I already figured this much…" He'd reply to Akuma's change of heart and his switching of sides.

Additionally, the size of the pulse depends on the amount of chakra needed to endure the on-coming jutsu, the more chakra thats needed the larger the pulse will become. The jutsu that can be blocked are jutsu of the same level (meaning A ranked) or lower. It should be noted that in order to endure a jutsu the same amount of chakra must be used as is used within the jutsu. Not enough chakra would only disperse the pulse and stun the user and too much would tire the user out faster. For ninja tools and weapons a quick burst of chakra is adequate enough with the pulse only lasting for as long as the user continues to emit chakra.

Kasumi's attack was not effective, as she might have imagined. What she didn't imagine was the strange chakara pulse that emanated from the stranger. It sent Kasumi back, barreling towards the edge of the cliff she had just climbed. The girl only braced herself for the fall.

The fall that never came.

Instead she thudded against the soft fur of one of the bears, who seemed unphased by the impact. Kasumi raised a brow, preparing for an attack from the animal that also never came.

"Eh? Seems your friends are on my side. Heh."

Kasumi stood again, grabbing her sword. If the man could send her flying with a pulse of his chakara, she had to think of something better. Her own chakara flared around her, cloaking the Genin as her demonic for seeped out. The Hyugga would probably notice the malice in it's nature.

"That hasn't been made clear yet. If you think this is enough to make me stray from the path I decided, you're mistaken. Don't underestimate me."

With the red cloak tailing off of her coat, Kasumi ran forward and planted her sword in the ground. Using it as a kickstand to propel herself forward with a speedy kick towards the man. Hoping adding more force to her attack would nullify his pulse attack.

Kasumi's attack seemed to be completely useless, as the man had already decided to take his leave before she would hit him. So instead of kicking him, she'd land on the rocks below, sliding a few feet forward. It was painful, but she wasn't minding it. She looked up, the man was gone and only a single bear remained. The one that had helped her earlier. Kasumi would spit a couple rocks out, then run to the edge of the plateau that he'd disappeared to.

"He's gone. Sheesh, he's fast."

"You already knew that."

The bear spoke, and Kasumi jumped a bit, looking at the strange bear. Yeah she had already known that, he had blitzed her completely earlier.

"You still ran at him, with no longing for death in your eyes. Admirable."

Kasumi tried to grasp the fact that the bear was talking to her, but she knew a compliment when she saw it. She straightened her back, sheathing her sword and approaching the bear.

"You helped me not die, though. I appreciate that. I would have been fine though." She explained, looking down the long drop that was the cliff she almost was thrown away from. "Well, probably..."

"Why fight when you knew you'd be beaten?" The bear inquired, approaching her. "Would you fight me?"

"If I had to. Are you trying to pick a fight? Should have did that when you had the backup, not AFTER!"

Kasumi rested her hand on the hilt of her sword, preparing to defend herself. The bear, however, barred it's teeth and stood on it's hind legs. He dwarfed her in size and took two steps closer. Kasumi didn't flinch, instead planned her attack.

Only to be interrupted by the low and deep laugh of the bear.

"You really would fight me. You're an interesting child. I wish to watch you, see if you remain interesting." He would produce the contract, and Kasumi's eyes would widen. She knew of the summoning jutsu, but never got a familiar for herself.

"Even though I attacked him? He's signed the contract too." She'd chuckle a bit. "I'll do it. You can watch me grow, one day I'll be stronger than any shinobi that's ever lived. Mark those words."

The bear gave an awkward smile with his canines, holding out the contract for Kasumi to put her thumb on. She did. Sealing the contract.

Kasumjavascript:void(0);i has become known for her strange chakara form. When in a dire situation, she is capable of releasing her chakra, which in turn takes a strange color unlike the normal blue color of chakra, and takes the form of a demonic cat figure. She is then enveloped in a demon shroud.

This ability grants her a fierce looking aura, that may come off as intimidating and a tenacity to push beyond their normal limits physically- when this mode is activated, Kasumi is harder to knock out or kill and will generally fight for longer than a normal body is capable of.

Keeping this ability active has a medium drain on Kasumi's chakara.


Kenjutsu Training:
Since a young age, Kasumi has felt the weight of a sword in her hands. She's practiced combat with swords, and is able to compete with some of the best sword users around. That said, people who lack training with a sword or intensive Taijutsu tend to be overwhelmed by her skill.

Large Chakra Reserves:
