Walking along the corridors till he found his name was the purpose of his game - and perhaps fate had been there to tempt him because when he found his door, trailing his hand along the wall - he snorted. Taki Okada. The other Sage Apprentice - was this on purpose? The redhead would have no way of knowing. "Ahgahdamnid..." Shomaru sighed to himself. It wasn't that he minded the girl - but all they had in common was Sage related stuff and he came here to the Chunin exams.

Though, there was some training he wanted to do it all had to be kept light so he would be fresh on the day. Today? Shomaru's laziness would be the better of him as he steeled himself and went right on through: no knocking, just opening and getting right to it.

He and his luggage came to a stop as he took a few steps inside- a very quick glance told him he was alone. He was first here. So, the door came to a shut behind him. Shomaru supposed if she were travelling from Iwagakure they might've taken longer to get there. He did not mind this fact, if it were to be the case.

He freed himself of his clothing (save his trousers) and fell onto the bed closest to him. On the left, face down - and would be out like a light. His luggage was left in the centre of the room. Time for some Z's. Unfortunately, given he was face down - the mouth came open, and the snoring came out. They were muffled - but snores were snores.

The girl had made herself towards the entrance to their hotel room and as she made her way towards the door she’d see her name and beside it the name of that other sage kid Setsuna Shomaru. "Oh brother.” the girl thought remembering their brief time together training some time ago back in Kirigakure the girl carried with her a small suitcase that was rolling behind and looked mighty different from the last time he’d seen her. She'd grown a few inches. Her hair was longer and over her eyes by this point and past her shoulders fluffy and thick much like the rest of her.

As she noticed the door had been cracked she would’ve noticed he’d gotten there first and after gently pushing the door open she’d come upon the rather annoying sound of Shomaru catching some "Zzz’s.” she’d groan as she placed her headphones on and set her stuff down on the bed next to his and would open up the zipper on her suitcase which inside held extra leotards and a compartment for her jacket along with some cleaning supplies for her clothes.

It’d be a long walk from the ports to here and the girl was pretty tired herself but also really needed to freshen herself up and so after setting her things down and stowing away her jacket she’d strip off her boots and make her way into the shower where she’d toss of her leotard and keep her hat by the nightstand beside her bed leaving a bit of a paper trail as to who was there with him.

Shortly after with the shower door closed the girl would get comfortable and while she rinsed a song popped into her head one she’d been listening to on the way there and the girl feeling herself and knowing that her roommate was sleeping decided to belt out a tune rather horrendously in fact.

"Here she comes again like good medicine!”

Taki has also increased the amount of weight she is able to lift by a massive margin in a way that makes her an even more fearsome taijutsu practitioner than before.

Shomaru had been able to get a bit of sleep. Not a lot - not a sizeable chunk of the day had passed but it was enough to wake up and feel somewhat rested in spite of his sleeping position trying his hardest to remove any form of oxygen between himself and the bed.

Perhaps it was a culture thing but what disrupted Shomaru's sleep was moisture. Strange as that may be: it was the increased amount of moisture that somehow tickled the inside of his nose and triggering some sort of sense. In Kirigakure, the moisture was usually indicative of a window being open, and cold getting in. It was what caused damp problems in some less affluent areas and it was something that Shomaru had learned to avoid lest he be treated with the wrath of a mother.

Secondly was the noise the came as an afterthought, but he used to live in a very small, cramped home with a lot of boys: noise was something he'd learned to sleep through unless they landed on him in which case it would immediately result in a much angrier version of himself. Fortunately for Taki he had not noticed her singing voice beyond trying to come to his own senses in feeling some relative safety in their area, and was taking advantage of that with a slow awakening of turning onto his back.

His immediate check was at the window, where he simply rose his head to see if it was open - it was not. No action required, as he yawned he looked down to his chest: and into the room. Another person who he'd assumed was Taki by the suit case and the fact this was meant to be their room. He did need to use the toilet, though.

He remained in the bed for the mean time, lazily resting while he could, waiting for Taki and for his own stomach to tell him it was time to go get some food.

As the girl finished her shower she’d exit out still bobbing her head to the beat of the music as she dried herself off with a towel, "Hey cover your eyes Taiga boy, hot stuff coming through!” After stepping out she’d quickly grab a set of clothes and head back into the bathroom to get herself changed, placing on her leotard and jacket and taking a moment to re-apply her makeup.

"So how ya been Taiga boy did dat blowhard getcha good n ready for de exams?” she’d say calling out from inside the bathroom after applying the last of her lipstick. Once she was nice and satisfied with herself she’d grab hold of her headphones that she hung on the doorframe and place them around her neck before she headed back out of the room.

When the two had met last they had a decent match and while she didn’t exactly like him…they got along, he had a fire too him that she liked and as a fellow sage they had some common ground.

"Miss Midori’s been trainin me pretty hard, so you betta be ready ta keep up.” she’d say. "Anyway Imma go get some breakfast, I’m starvin’” she’d say, she’d say placing her hands inside of her pockets and heading out the door. "If you wanna train o somethin layta I’m down.”

"Eh." Shomaru was attempting to be respectful, he had also seen the naked female form once before. He placed a hand over his peripheral of her as he stared at the ceiling. "Yeah. He's done alright." She might've noticed he had dropped some of his perhaps rougher accents. As the only student, with Ryo being the Sage he was

"We'll see how it goes." Shomaru was personally nervous for the exams, he didn't like the not knowing part - but that was the point, he supposed. He would actually follow her out. She spoke some sense that spoke to his stomach, it growled at him. "I could eat," he didn't know where the cafeteria was but it didn't take much for him to read the signs. "I don't want to train in public, not wih' other people around." Shomaru didn't want to give off any idea of his moves early, so if he was going to do it, it would be privately. Not with people around.

Still, if that's where she was going then they could go together - if not, he would still be going there himself. He watched the other participants with a weary eye as there were people around the corridors. Faces he hadn't, nor probably would ever see again.

As the boy would make his remarks he spoke with very few words and his japanese improved so that was new but she’d linger on his words. "You don’t sound too confident in yaself…taiga boy. We’re gonna have to fix that after breakfast.” she’d say winking to him, "Now c’mon I saw da cafeteria not too faah from ere.” she’d say gesturing for him to head out of the room. The girl would make her way down the hallway towards the kitchen and would see that it looked like it was open for anyone ta use.

She’d rub her hands together eager to start cooking up somethin fierce. "Oh boy oh boy!” the girl would say as she made her way towards the fridge finding all sorts of meats, eggs and other pieces of poultry she could put together to make a nice meal. "Aw’right Taiga boy today you're eating at the Okada Cafe!” she'd say as she'd look around and gather up some ingredients, namely some bacon some ground beef and ana assortment of crushed peppers.

"Ohh yeah you’re gonna love dis!” she’d say. After she got what she needed she'd start prepping everything her mouth watering as she thought about the delicacy. "Yeah an Okada breakfast sandwich…ain't nuttin betta!”the girl seemed to be enjoying this but any chance to spread her culture to others was always something she enjoyed. Her hatred of Konoha only matched by her love for her family.

Shomaru wanted to believe he would be a good candidate for the exams but he had shied away from it for his particular skillset. But, he felt ready enough and wanted to prove it to himself and to his village that he could do it. So, while he appreciated her encouragement he did not need it - but was happy to follow his stomach, rubbing at his own belly as he moved.


They did eventually come to the cafeteria but she sought to make her own food, and Shomaru was intrigued. Shomaru himself "The... what?" Okada Cafe? He thought her family were all... wrestling focused? Not... chefs? Perhaps it was a idiom? But, he was happy to let her drive the food. He would take a seat in the central blocks where you could seat yourself opposite the sinks, the kitchen appliances and such and she went to the fridge. He was happy to let someone else cook (him being on the lazier side himelf). There it stopped, his face frowned a little bit, ad she saw him grabbing for items.

"I'm vegetarian." Her holding her items would be useless to Shomaru, though he didn't stop anyone else from enjoying meat, he did not partake in it himself. If she couldn't cook anything, then Shomaru was happy to take over. His entire repertoire was plant based food.

As the girl had her ingredients ready to pour into the pot and start cooking she looked to the boy with the flattest of looks on his face. "Oh you’re one’nna dem.” the girl would say looking rather perturbed. She’d then set what she had down and began to look into the fridge and found some cheese. "Ya eva have grilled cheese?” she’d say looking back at him, she’d set em down and then start the fryer keeping their food separate. One side for her food and another for his.

"It’s like a sandwich but made outta cheese and grilled bread, it’s da best I can do for ya.” the girl would say looking over the boy. Presenting him with the only alternative she knew, Taki wasn’t the best cook but she knew how to make some of the simpler homemade delicacies that her family would often produce. And while many of those came with meatl, she didn’t wanna leave Shomaru out in the cold it was her idea after all.

"What'd ya got against meat anyway…?” the girl would ask as she continued to cook their food and let in the smell of it seep into her nose. "Ahhh yeah…~” the girl would say as she took the spatula and began to press it against the meat patty within the fryer, while checking over the meat and tending to it with another. "How could anyone not like the great taste o beef, all nice and succulent. You've at least had it bafore right?” it was a joke but her tone was a little rough something he’d probably gotten used to by now. She’d briefly glance back at him to gauge his reaction.

When transforming into Sage Mode Taki's body and overall Taijutsu prowess increase exponentially most notably her grip strength allowing her to take hold of someone with a painful amount of power amplifying her already proficient ability to grapple with an opponent making it significantly harder to be broken out of as well a deal a considerable amount of damage.

When transforming into Sage Mode Taki's body Taki is able to use nature energy to harness her powers in order to make her more physically imposing than normal adding to her natural affinities with Taijutsu allowing her move faster and hit harder heavy items thus adding a good amount of power and heft to her attacks allowing her to snap bones with much less effort and outpace a good majority of her enemies with her monstrous charge.

Due to the coarse strength of a gorilla's skin Taki is able to withstand a good amount of extra punishment allowing her to be able to withstand blows from most enemies that most shinobi wouldn't be able to normally withstand. As such blows from strong fighters are reduced by a considerable amount and when struck feel like colliding with a considerably immovable force.

Shomaru frowned. Just as he had many times before when someone questioned his food choices - "yeah. I'm one of them." he had defaulted to quite a boring response unlike the previous more spicy ones that he had used in the past - and had grown to just be... OK with it. "Grilled what?" He didn't know what she had meant. Cheese that was cooked by itself?

Well, either way she would be showing him, it was vegetarian - he would happy to try it. She explained it to him and he hummed. "Sounds good." He didn't know how cheese would go well with a bread, but hey, he hadn't tried a lot of this westerner food that she was intent on indoctrinating him with.

"Nothing to do with meat Taki, and everyth' to do with respecT." He respected nature and life more than his rude attitude seemed to portray to others. The smell of cheese being grilled as she said was nice - he briefly looked away as he saw another duo setting up their own food station. This was a shared place after all.

"I guess? It's been a long time." He had made the choice not long after becoming the Sage Apprentice but even then he hadn't at the time known it but had reactively gone off meat and couldn't put words to it. "Where'd you Okada get the wacky food ideas from, mind?" his response wasn't as such an allegation as it was a question of intrigue.
