Well that had been an annoying trip…
Meeting up with Zaizen in Kirigakure was meant to have been a breeze. Getting through gates and customs had never been an issue, gate guards were always more than happy to include her among the many bodies of whatever caravan. For some reason though… that idiot had decided to bar her for not having individual papers, notice, or reason. Even mentioning business with the Sourei hadn’t stirred him and seemingly Zaizen was currently nowhere to be found, so he couldn’t even vouch for her.
Frustration… It was a grating thing, especially when just a couple more details could have been paid had she been more thorough.
"Guess I need to be more prepared in the future, hm?”Tone of voice lowered and more graveled than a woman’s, though still silky and smooth in its enunciation and delivery. Another form had been taken just in case someone had seen her at the gates, no longer a female brunette in ornate clothes, but a tall and finely built young man. Tanned skin and dark hair that likely labeled him as foreign as her own original roots, and not even forgoing the ornateness of dress. He might as well have been an official from some delegation of foreign affairs~ And perhaps that might even be his story…
It was unneeded for now, the point wasn’t to interact with anyone right yet. A simple walk… one with a pair of birds that fluttered about. The small pair of lovebirds had a welcoming perch upon his shoulder whenever they wanted, but also equally took flight and flew around him in chase of one another to stretch their wings and match his long strides.
Speaking to them was idle and calming, a sigh from his lips and on hand rubbing over the firm and flat chest of his as he pondered what he should do next. Zaizen was a priority as of yet, setting up his life in a way that he could forever relax and be out of the eye was dependent upon that man’s hands… Patience… Patience patience…
Chirping birds that had perched on his shoulders once more would have fluffed up, the two of them full from their feathers and then shaking them flat, followed by flight being taken by a drop off his shoulder and off to his side. Suddenly and with purpose, for a shrill little series of chirps had the young man on higher radar.
Someone was watching them.
The birds were rarely aggressive, always a cute and calm little pair. Their chirps no different than any other lovebird that was calling out to his mate. But the man knew full well the two weren’t all that chatty. Calls were signals, and the signals pointed to another man. And his dog.
Rather than run like some criminal or avoid detection when he was already in it, the delegate of foreign affairs! Would turn in the other man’s direction, strides easy and steady with a grin spreading over his features. A hand outstretched towards those small birds that had been flying, suggesting to come back to him and huddle in.
"That’s a big dog. Out on a walk?”Sometimes situations not so simple, started with simple things.
