There were a handful of shinobi from the Hidden Rock Village there, one of them blood-related to the young Nohime, even though he didn't like to be associated with that side of his family. Regardless of that, she was not fighting down there as an Okada, but as a Rock Shinobi and as such, she had his entire support. He was sitting near his village on the bleachers, but making sure he was as far away as possible from the other Okada, they were beyond embarrassing with all their cheering and noise, it was almost shameful, he thought to himself, scoffing every time he glanced over towards them. Still, he wouldn't allow them to be much of a distraction to him, his grey eyes were focused on the arena as the two competitors made their way to the centre. "I wonder what she is going do to..." he was mostly talking to himself, but people close enough could probably hear him. "And this guy she is fighting... I wonder what he is capable of, those eyes are intimidating... I wonder what his doujutsu is about." he wondered, touching his chin with his index and thumb in a rather thoughtful expression. This was definitely going to be an interesting match. "I want you to understand something. If you should lose, not only does your future end, but also the future of the one you are trying to protect. Suikazura had been rather busy between her missions, but she did have a few skill that allowed her to cheat such things. Such as splitting and sending half of herself to view the exams. Queue Sui having travelled to Kagamino no Shi after her time sparring with Asuka, this led her eventually to the stands near a familiar coloring of folk. Dark Hues of red matched well to the Kimono that the girl wore in more out-goign relaxed affairs such as this. The Seals on her left shoulder and above her heart in full view as made her way before the individual she had only recently come to know as her Sensei's family, Nohime Ren, an Okada with a hatred of the unruly nature that they went about with. Sui was one partial to agree on that front as well, her personal views on such people being upsetting at best, and ignorant at worst.

"Full Contact Combat is a specialty of the Okada, I do not see her playing this differently. A shame since Akira had taught her so much before she entered the exam, I'd of thought she would have adapted more weaponry into her style," Sui would begin as the short woman looked over to the Nohime with a bright smile mixed with eyes that never shown with the light of life, a residue of the life of slums and abuse, her eyes had never regained a hint of vibrance. She would curtsy and gesture politely to ask the young man if she could sit non-verbally. After all she was just a drone of the Kamizuru Hive, "I believe, we are looking towards a fully physical match, I don't understand why but Konoha shinobi, in my experience, are almost always physical in some sense."

He knew the girl, she was an underling of his master, and even though they were not necessarily friends, he respected the girl as a true shinobi. The Okada, as much as he disliked them, were quite proficient in hand to hand combat, but somehow, her grip wasn't able to hold around the odd-eyed man's neck, so he had definitely something under his sleeves. He still thought his cousing would emerge the victor, but maybe this fight would drag on a little longer than she and the Okada anticipated. "She added a chair of all things... Not that I can see that being very useful in this setting..." he responded, with a light shrug. Still, the fight was about to get more intense, but the public was deprived of such sight as the smoke screen took over the centre of the arena. Well, both contenders would be deprived of their sight, right? So he couldn't see that as anything more than stalling for time. Initially, he had agreed with Suika, this seemed like it was going to be a physical fight, but now? He wondered what this guy was going to do. "He seems to be stalling for time now... I wonder if that won't backfire, he should be as blind as she is now." Ren added, folding his arms in front of his chest. He was really intrigued. "I want you to understand something. Princess Yoshiko

Yoshiko would be watching the fight keenly, she'd know the burden on this young gorilla's back. Her eyes focused on the combat unfolding, her body ready to react if things went haywire. In the jounin's eyes there was nothing to scoff about from Taki's arsenal, she'd certainly have a weird way to go about fighting. It'd however make it all the harder to know it's counter, to be ready for what the genin upheld in skill. Then again she had a pretty good idea about the weapon this Shigure was using against her. It's capabilities especially when honed from a natural born Hyuuga, it wasn't to be underestimated. So she'd have to keep her sensory raised, her attention focused, but this was still a bout of genin and she'd over hear her student and cousin.

"It's called the Byakugan, it's capable of seeing chakra and allowing the user to manipulate their own and their opponents chakra." A slight grin appearing on Yoshiko's face, as she'd add on cheekily. "Their sensory is genetic, so it's not giveaway of skill. We'll have to see if this young man is capable of using it, because if he's not Taki's Midori's student. There's no way she'll lose to this Konoha shinobi." The Nohime had nothing but faith in her villages shinobi, she was a proud nationalist and would cheer on the genin in her first round of this exam. It was already quite the spectacle in her opinion. It was amusing to see something other than the typical swords and kunai in action. Combat was multifaceted and brilliantly absurd at times.

Finally, the third round of the exams had begun. As someone who considered themselves a major fan across all villages in terms of watching their Shinobi fight, he couldn't wait to see the talent that would be on display, but more so between two of his own in Hoshi and Sugita, and the of course the Hyuuga, Shigure who was about to fight currently. As the Ame Lord this would be his first appearance representing the village, and for him that meant VIP access with the rest of the leaders watching.

However, he had his eyes set to be elsewhere. As rude as it might have seemed Sanosuke would offer his respects to the others leaders that were there and would head down to be with the person he'd been dying to spend some time with for awhile now. With his Byakugan it wouldn't take long for him to find where Yoshiko was located, and with her appeared to be one of her students of whom he watched not too long ago in Suikazura. The other person there with her was unfamiliar, but perhaps they might not be after this.

Sanosukes presence would be met with many eyes as he entered exited the VIP area and eventually into the concession area filled with many from all over. It wasn't common for people of his stature to be out like this and the looks on everyone's face seemed to show that. Nevertheless, his head remained straight forward and held up high as he had no intention of bothering anyone as he headed toward the section were Yoshiko and company were located.

Some eyes were of awe, some were looks of confusion, and last but not least were the looks of hate from others who were not too fond of his village. Regardless, there were sanctions in place so he didn't worry about any of them trying anything stupid. It wouldn't take him long to reach their section, and given his presence was completely unannounced he'd try to be as respect as possible as many people in the surrounding area momentarily focused their attention on him.

"Well um, I don't know how else to put this, but you ladies and gents wouldn't mind making a little room for lil ole me would you?"

His optics rotated between the three of them until either of them decided to speak up. As his gazed turned toward Yoshiko she would be met with a warm smile, and a bow even to greet her as she was still the love of his life and the woman he still wished to marry someday even if the timeline for that happening was still a long ways away with their careers steadily climbing.

Chunin Exams The hell I miss?!" A calm expression would linger upon Himari's face as she watched from the stands at the CE bout happening before her. While she may have been a bit late to the event, it seemed that her concern for her cousin wasn't too far from being warranted. Having just arrived to the bleachers, she was shown the image of Taki having changed her appearance into one that was certainly much more furry and perhaps even a bit more off-keel than what she was used to. Was this part of the Sage training she had been on about before? It would make sense, but still. Just how far could she actually take this into the match? Another concern was control. Especially when she was facing someone from Konohagakure, which she knew the girl held a deep resentment toward. If she let her anger drive her, she'd be more prone to making a mistake. Though this wasn't something that could be predicted like a stage match. As she took a seat, she'd look over Ren along with a few others from Iwagakure, a blank expression on her face before she returned to watching the rest of the events unfold. It was going to be quite the fight to say the least. Though as always, she placed her bets on Taki. Yet, in spite of this, she would always come up with a way to win in the end, despite being at the disadvantage. This has much to do with her reflexes, capable of moving around her targets attempts and finding the openings she needs to take them down. More often than not, this serves as her means of protection in it being difficult to hit a someone that you can't accurately engage against. Though it operates on her instincts, it can be unreliable in some situations. Especially if Himari has not been able to figure out the exact anatomy of her opponent. Heart of a Champion During her run within the OWA, Himari would train constantly to build up her strength and stamina. She would need both in order to complete the various techniques that were involved in her style of wrestling. As such, strength training was key in her mind as she came up with an arrangement in order to continue to build upon those foundations taught to her. While she is indeed smaller than most of the people she encounters, her size does no more than give her the appearance of being less powerful than she is. Her ability to sustain stronger grapples upon her opponents is increase through this advantage, as well as the impact of her physical attacks. Legacy of a Champion Okada Riku was known throughout the world for her speed and agility when she was in the ring. Such is reflected upon her continue run until her retirement. This trait has been passed down by to her daughter as Himari has displayed incredible speed. This has only increased over the years, alongside her training with both her mother and other shinobi. She can move swiftly across the field with little issue, using her agile footwork to get in close on a target before they can even realize it. Excelling at this, she focuses on being evasive with this ability as well, allowing for her to be just as proactive in getting in, as well not getting hit in the process.

Spectacles like the Chuunin Exams weren't Kai's cup of tea. Truth be told he had never been to one of these affairs. His own promotion from genin to chuunin came differently compared to today's tests and battles.
The Stone was engulfed in civil war during his time as a genin going for promotion. He proved his aptitude and skill in the active battles and skirmishes of the time.

By the time the war was over he'd probably been through every trial and tribulation encountered in today's exams and more.
That didn't mean he looked down on how the exams worked in their current format.
Each generation was supposed to be better than the last so he wouldn't undermine the skill level of the crop that would be crowned Chuunin by the end of the exams.
His only hope was that there'd be a lot of Stone ninja amongst the graduating faces. One face in particular was that of Taki Okada's.
He had the pleasure of training the genin once upon a time so his expectations were high for her.

The diplomatic atmosphere of the exams allowed Kai to mix and mingle with some important names and faces from around their world. He used the opportunity to network, interacting with anyone on a higher chair in the pecking order of things. Most of his time at the exams was spent expanding his relations with elite jounins, elders, daimyo's, kage and many more.
He did take some time to go watch Taki's fight which he was calmly on the way too despite being a little late.

He spotted the section where most of The Stone spectators were sat. Making his way there, he acknowledged Yoshiko with a curt nod amongst her company with a Rain shinobi. He glanced at another man he recognized as another Nohime. The man was seated with a young girl and to the both of them Kai said nothing, passing and sitting himself beside Himari, a member of his operations team. "Are you confident your cousin will make it through?" he spoke to Himari, looking at her through his slanted eyes before observing the fight.

Perhaps to make her best move. The thing with sages was that they were a tricky group, and often relied on natural energy to see them through. In the end, her cousin had spent a lot of time practicing it, honing it, and hopefully mastering it to be ready for a fight like this. It made her all the more important for her to be capable of achieving her goal. A goal she feared might end up killing her... "There's always a spot for you next to me~<3" Yoshiko would reply to the Ame Lord's request for a spot, she'd shift over for him to settle in then lean against his side when he sat down. "Heh, wasn't that long ago, we were the participants." Yoshiko would remark aloud thinking about the group of them, at least it was quite true for her, Sanosuke and Suikazura. A statement which would lead to her next, "It seems great shinobi keep getting younger." The kunoichi remarked feeling rather confident in the early part of this match for the villages representative.

Yoshiko would note Kai's appearance and he'd soon notice hers. A polite nod was given and she'd return it with her typical sparkling smile, she was happy to see the turn out of stone shinobi. It'd seemed Taki had garnered a lot of good attention. The fight would be largely blurred, but with her chakra sensory she was able to watch the whole thing unfold. It'd be a battle of chakra really, but it'd seem Taki was using something other than chakra. At least other than any chakra the jounin could see through her sensory.

CLIMAX Ren's confusion was noted by his Master, and she was quick in explaining to him what was going on. Yoshiko explained a bit of how the man's doujutsu worked and that made the young Nohime arch both his brows in surprise. Still, Yoshiko had faith in Taki and was confident she would not lose. In any case, his eyes seemed quite problematic and he was keeping his distance from the young Okada. "I understand. Forgive my ignorance, Shishou." he said with a subtle yet formal bow to the Nohime princess, who he called in the most formal way possible despite being a blood relative. Shortly after hearing the explanation, a man approached them and exchanged words with his master. Ren kept it to himself, but tried to remember the man's likeness. He seemed like he was an ally, but he wouldn't be as rude as to ask for an introduction when they were all there to watch the fights. After the man, another relative of Ren arrived, Okada Himari, and she asked what she had missed and the young Nohime spoke to her. "Not much, Himari-san. It's not like we can see much of what's going on, though." he said, pointing out to the smokescreen the Hyuuga had created. It was funny how he was surrounded by family from both sides, and Kai, another Nohime, spoke to Himari about the fight, asking her thoughts on it as they continued to observe it, but then she seemed to have changed her mind, thinking she would make it. Ren sighed. Seemed like his master could follow the fight, and he was a bit frustrated with himself. Still, his eyes looked for Taki as the smoke began to disperse with her scream, revealing both fighters there, but when that happened, Taki fell on her buttocks and again, the Nohime didn't really understand what happened. But now that they were visible, he noticed a weird chakra concentrating on the man's hands, so much it was visible even to those without special eyes or sensory. "That looks dangerous..." still, he had no reason to really worry as Taki surprised one of the enemies with a ladder of all things. Ren facepalmed at that, but he smirked because it worked enough to destroy the shadow clone. "Impressive." The two seemed to be running low on energy as well, and he had a feeling the fight was reaching its conclusion. "Come on, Taki. You can do this." he thought to himself, but he didn't want to cheer out loud. He didn't want his Okada side of the family to start thinking he was warming up to them. The rest of the surrounding people didn't seem to have a problem with his presence there, and as usual Yoshiko made him feel right at home as she always did whenever he could be around. After taking a seat he'd take a deep breath as her frame gently tugged into his own. A smile stretched across his lips as she noted that not that it wasn't too long ago that they were the ones fighting in the arena. Personally there was a ton of pressure for him to come out the exams as a potential Chuunin candidate after the many years he spent away.

He wondered if she endured similar pressure, or even if the participants below felt the same thing. "Right, I certainly don't miss all this, but It was fun being able to interact with other countries in a controlled environment." The Takeda added as he subconsciously referred to his distant rivalry with Yusuke of the Hidden Leaf village. The two got to spar on a few occasion after meeting one another in his second Chuunin exam appearance.

Shortly after speaking Sanosuke would activate his Byakugan so that he could get a clear view of exactly what was going on, and while he was mostly for Taki due to diplomatic reasons the Ame Lord was equally hoping to be impressed by Konohas own Hyuuga, Shigure. Ironically, Taki made the first must see move as she underwent a transformation he'd never seen before. Her chakra was circulating almost in a similar manner than two of the Jinchuuriki he'd encountered already.

Yet, her power was very much different than theirs. After all of this a number of question would definitely need to be asked in regard to what was happening as the Iwa Shinobi in the immediate area seemed to be rather familiar with what was taking place. "And here I was thinking the Hyuuga was going to be the first to display some flashy techniques, but this?! I see the Stone Village is really out doing itself again." The latter of his words being a sub compliment to how well her former team did in one of the previous exams.

"Also, to back track to what you noted earlier. It seems the world is demanding the prowess of the times before all these villages came to be, and with that has brought about more pressure on younger individuals like those two below. Us included as we appear to be headed into a new era."

Himari could only agree with Ren as it appeared that Taki had done something down there to try and shift the tides of the fight. It was starting to get even more fierce than before, but that was honestly when things could become just as dire. Any move could be a mistake, and from what she could gather, it was starting to reach it's peak for the two. As she watched on with the others, she could hear the words of the Ame lord as he mentioned the idea of things becoming more pressurized for the newest generation of shinobi, and how a new era was indeed starting to form.
