Shomaru didn't like losing, but he also did like being alive - and so the round with Taki had gone around in his head and where it went wrong. Frankly, it fell down to the fact that she had a lot more techniques up her sleeves. Fuinjutsu was not an easy subject to master, it was finicky, and it tore down a bit of his confidence to have effectively all of it ripped apart.

He would have to either lean into the Fuinjutsu - or focus on his Taijutsu. He could do both, but not at once. But his wounds were healed up, and he kept his equipment to him tightly: his arm felt strange for a while after, so it was good to have it fixed up. He wondered what the world thought of him at that point, because right now he felt like a failure.

It was there, he entered the third round of the chunin exams with a bit more dampened spirits than he'd joined it - and frankly wasn't sure if he'd be returning as a Chunin. His performance had been sub optimal in his view. But, he entered the exam grounds. Unlike the other Shinobi, he opted to not reach out and study the individual opponents. Why, you might ask? Because he needed to be comfortable fighting Shinobi when he didn't have a gauge of their powers or abilities, so that he could learn better from it as a Sage student.

So, he didn't know anything about Uchiha Tokaku or what she was capable of, as he did not know anything of the other Genin as well. All he could do is withdraw a calligraphy pen: ripe to be pulled so that he could start writing out seals. He would not try to use Sage mode this round, he was better than it.

Shomaru had the opportunity to go first, and he would not waste it- he had enough of being caught out. One hand to thigh holster: out of the thigh holster and he flicked a light bomb toward her current position.

He flicked the light bomb where he thought she would be going, or moving to - If Taki was anything to go by, then it was straight for him. He didn't want to hurt her, even if it would hurt her eyes. That would mean it would land behind her if she did move at him - and that would be enough to give him some time to place down a seal, by the use of his pulled out ink brush.

This was the famed Uchiha clan, and he was a clanless nobody. Best had made a show of it, he supposed: and not with using the Sage Mode. Then, he ran at her, keeping himself low and his eyes trained on her - not to mow her down, because he too, did not want to be caught by his own macchinations.

DESCRIPTION:
The user can continue to place written seals on surfaces, up to twenty maximum but it cost nothing to sustain. It's a very low cost for each seal placed, but the true effect requires a medium amount additionally when activated.

The user can activate all seals simultaneously, forcing an electric connection and creating a static field in between all seals. This is used to damage and detain anyone inside. Those inside will feel a stagger of movement, difficulty controlling their bodies and even disorientation with their senses. The only exception is the user themselves, which are not affected by it

[Uchiha Tokaku]

Tokaku was disappointed in her performance during her last battle. However, she only needed to win this one and she could become a Chuunin. At least her arm was feeling better for this fight. Walking into the ring and standing at least a good distance away. She was a long to mid ranged fighter after all. Opening her eyes and reopening them revealing her Sharingan for the last time during the exams.

The moment that he dug into his holster to pull out something, she jumped backwards as she started to do handseals, before blowing out a stream of fire towards Shōmaru. As the flash bomb went off Tokaku closed her eyes in response but would continue to do small jumps backwards as she wanted to keep distance. She wasn't sure how he would react to her flames but in case he moved she wanted to stay away.

Tokaku had a plan in motion. She just needed him to fall into her web, then victory was assured. She was going to show everyone the power of her clans.

Sharingan [1 Tomoe]
The girl unlocked her Sharingan after teammates died in the last chuunin exams she was in, her mother died after the chuunin exams ended. The trauma has given her One Tomoe in both of her eyes. They allow her to see chakra in color, although not as good as a Byakugan. It also gives her a better view of the actions of her opponent, although not as good as a Two or Three Tomoe Sharingan. It can help her keep track of movements well enough to aid her in combat, nonetheless.

Chakra Control
Tokaku always had good chakra control and only perfected it as she’s now gotten older. It helps her keep up with the toll of jutsus, by using almost just the right amount of chakra.

After performing the seals, chakra is kneaded inside the body and converted into fire which is expelled from the mouth either as a expeditious massive orb of roaring flame comparable to a comet or as a continuous flame-thrower. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater in the ground's surface. In its comet form, this technique is capable of going as far as 40 meters. As a flamethrower, its range is shorter at 20 meters, but can engulf several oncoming projectiles and opponents. For those who posses a Katon Ability, this technique possesses the speed, power, and efficiency of a B-ranked jutsu.

BATTLE MOD REVIEW

@konoakira throws out 1 flash/light bomb with Bakakumi no Jutsu [Explosive Seal] inscribed onto it, imbued with a high amount of chakra. Because of this, in addition to shining a bright, blinding light in Tokaku's direction, the flash bomb is also a higher potency explosive than an explosive note.

Uchiha Tokaku retreats in reaction to seeing Shomaru digging around in his bag, but due to the force of the explosive she would not be able to retreat quickly enough to avoid the full impact of the blast. She is sent stumbling backwards and the front of her body will be scorched from the blast. Though she closes her eyes when she sees the light from the flash bomb, the brightness of the flash bomb is such that she would not be able to fully protect her vision from the blinding light, and it will be difficult for her to see due to sun spots and eye pain for [1 rotation].

As this occurs, Shomaru places down one seal for Jōzan Shīru [Multiplying Seals], to no effect at this time, before keeping low + running forward to close the distance.

As she regains her footing she is able to complete the six handseals to perform Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu] in its flamethrower form which as a maximum reach of 20 meters. As Tokaku is blinded she is not able to aim effectively, but as Shomaru is running directly towards Tokaku, even with evasive maneuvers he will not be able to completely evade the blast of the technique.

So it was the opposite response, he backed forward like Taki and she backed away. Reasonably, he had expected the explosion to go off: and had protected his eyes by closing them and placing a arm in front of his face. What he had not expected, which he should have, was her reaction: removing his hand from his face, would see the flamethrower like ability and frankly, could not see the woman from his own position in the middle of the flames. 'Gonna hurt.' Shomaru simply jumped to the side - to try and mitigate the pain, protecting the side of his body about to be exposure by the flames.

There was little protection to be offered but one side of his body would see areas of third degree and second degree burns. Shomaru was hurt. But it would not be the end, his arm had been fixed after it being broken so heinously by Taki: and civilians could deal with burns, when why could he not?

Using the brittle brush as a thing to give him something to bite on, he would perform some seals: gathering his time and position to form into the only Raiton technique he knew: biting on the Fuinjutsu brush to combat some of the pain as his mouth gurned - looking for the peripheral version of her that he could hit. The bolt would pulsate from the formulation of his triangle fingers, and at her general form.

NAME: Raiton: Inazuma no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique]

DESCRIPTION:
This technique is probably one of the most basic Raiton Jutsu out there that deals with actual lightning. The user will first perform the needed hand seals in order, then make a triangle with both their hands with the finger tips as the vertex and two thumbs acting as base. After which, the user will then begin to focus their Raiton Chakra to the Single Point while targeting the opponent within the open Triangle palm as they begin to channel chakra to the mid-point of the triangle. Then user will then pulsate a single bolt of lightning towards the opponent. The damage the bolt can deal is substantial, able to scorch a tree while leaving a dent at full power.

[Uchiha Tokaku]

Tokaku was blown back a bit from the explosion, her arms instinctively reeling up and crossing to protect her face. She would avoid the worst but still get parts of her shirt burned away and left with one and second degree burns on her forearm. Her ears rung and she has some pain in her eyes along with spots. Taking only a few seconds before trying to get up, she would feel the pain but her adrenaline was pumping now.


It would be dulled enough to push herself back up, doing handseals as she stood up, not wanting to waste a moment. She couldn't properly see him but she did have somewhat of a direction. Taking a deep breath she would create another fireball, this time in a comet form. She made sure to make it as big as possible as it went hurling, hopefully towards Shōmaru.

He shook his face, the electricity would have been a success and hit her body centrally: he had pumped enough chakra in it to what he would have ordinarily have used to train it, and that was capable of denting trees and scorching them: who knew what it would do to her central nervous system?

It would be a scorcher: nothing that she couldn't survive but being hit by electricity would do more than that, paralyzing her - Shomaru would render the single handseal necessary to shunshin upward and toward her to avoid any last minute interferences - as well as being a direction that most might've found strange: just so that as his body could drop, withdrawing a Kunai that could be held to her throat and force a submission.

Hopefully. He hoped that she wasn't as good as Taijutsu that Taki was, and that he would not need to utilise anything else in the mean time.

DESCRIPTION:
By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

Uchiha Tokaku is hit square in the chest by Raiton: Inazuma no Jutsu, causing her severe damage from the raiton energy and paralyzing her. She is unable to react as @konoakia uses Shunshin no Jutsu to drop down on her from above and hold a kunai to her throat.

Tokaku is incapacitated and unable to fight. Shomaru wins the round.
