[Waruichi Kei]

After the second fight, Kei felt both strangely ashamed and proud of herself at the same time. Ashamed, because she had to defeat her teammate, and because they were not really fighting. But proud because she managed to win! It was her second win in a row, too! The bandaged girl didn't know how they were graded, but wins were good, right? Maybe she'd manage a semi-decent score by the end of it! She prepared well for it too. Hiding tags under bandages, wrapping them along kunai handles, and learning about her future opponent. Conveniently, it was one Kasumi fought before! Could tell all about it! And so, Kei felt very prepared! The gates were open, and she walked inside the arena. Unlike the previous times, though, this times the tribunes were... pretty silent. Strange murmurs across the board. It was not because she was Kei, but because she was a Waruichi. And one of her clan became famous last round for ending the life of a prominent Konoha nin! A Nara, no less! The quietness felt eerie and strange, but not too discomforting. 

Kei walked towards the center, where the proctor was, and where her opponent would be. Oorigami Asahi. That's the name. His first name was deceiving and lies! He had nothing to do with paper! Once he was there, the bandaged girl would look at him, and hum a rhyme, in a way she usually spoke. A question:


"You've been beaten by one of my team and my village,
One of yours had been killed by someone from my clan.
What your chances would be? Do you think you could manage
Against one of my team, of my village, and clan?"

As she said that, Kei played with a small gray ball, rolling it between her fingers. She looked at the proctor, briefly, who was meant to start the fight. This one was not from her village, and one she did not even know. Would she need to hold back? It'd be a nice thing to do. But if push came to shove, she won't! She wanted to make her clan and sensei proud. That thought felt Kei with...

Determination. 

[Ōorigami Asahi]

SOMEDAY WE WILL CONNECT THE DOTS AND UNVEIL THE WORLD

When his second fight was called to stop, Asahi had begun to suffer hypoxia, breaking down and wheezing right when they stopped them. And once again he found himself with medics who took care of the problem. Now, the third round had come.

Asahi stuffed what he could from the medical kit into his pouches and left the remaining bigger items behind. He cut 4, 3m segments of ninja wire and stuffed it into a pouch too.

Then he emerged from his side when he was called, and came out to a crowd eerily silent. The reason why was obvious to all who had watched the previous round. Another Konohagakure vs. Kirigakure matc. Another fight against on of the Waruichi. This matchup was similar to the one that cost Yoru Nara his life.

Asahi had gotten the chance to see his opponent in their round 2 match, along with their family member who killed Yoru. At this point in the exam, it was safe to assume that all the participants had gotten the chance to do their homework, probably by design. Asahi met the bandaged girl near the center of the arena and she greeted him with rhymes.

"Well let me say up front, I’m not trying to kill you if you’re not trying to kill me. That aside, I think my odds are…45%” Asahi responded while taking his place. He nodded to the proctor and with both ready, they called it.

As soon as the proctor did, Asahi performed one handseal and held it, invigorating his body with chakra. With a flash of lightning crashing where he stood, Asahi seemingly appeared 10m away in the direction behind him.

Shunshin no Jutsu’s enhanced agility hopefully allowed him to create the distance. If successful, Asahi kept running toward the clear wall that existed behind them and all around the arena. If still ahead, he would begin to run up it, using Kinobori no Waza to keep his footing as he started up the wall.

DESCRIPTION:
By invigorating one's entire body with chakra, a shinobi can seemingly disappear and reappear in another location faster than most people can see. Often times one's movements are disguised with the use of an extra element, be it a smoke bomb, leaves, water, sand, etc. in order to hide the user's trajectory from those with skilled eyes. Though it mimics teleportation, it is important to remember this jutsu merely boosts the agility of its user. As useful as this technique is, it can only be used 4 times in a battle thread, compounding in exertion and difficulty each time. with any more usages beyond that result in muscle tears in the legs from overexertion. The hand seal for this technique must be held until the shinobi reaches their destination, making it impossible to utilize other techniques regardless of any preparation.

Oh, so it was one of those fights again.

Kei was almost disarmed by the declaration of peace. No killing or trying to maim and injure again... That would be nice! Kei wasn't as cruel and cold-hearted as Asuna, despite sharing a clan. And when someone vocally announced they won't try to kill her... it was hard for her to take advantage of that! Was it a lie told to have her bring down her guard? Or was it the truth! Poor Kei didn't know. In doubt, she twisted and turn, before sighing and nodding, agreeing to his terms. Just as the proctor gave the wave for them to begin. And as soon as he did... the boy vanished in a puff of lightning! Appearing 10 meters behind himself, and making a run for it! Kei's eyes widened.

"Hey, wait up! Don't run, please stay!
The way to fighting is this way!"

Immediately, she made the same seal he did, teleporting 10 meters forward, and making a run after the boy. The central area, covered with grass, earth, and other elements, was large and occupied much of the fighting grounds. There was still ways to go before reaching the edge. And Kei would not let him escape! She was a bit faster on her feet, gaining ground. But what was even faster than herself were her bandages. Six bandagey tendrils unfurled from behind her back, grabbing kunais from her pouch. They lurched forward, after the boy, looming over him from six sides! The pointy-bits then swooshing from all around, from every direction, attempting to stab him! Or so it would seem.

Or maybe it was a way for bandages to get up close!

DESCRIPTION:

Kei would channel her chakra into her bandages, making its ends stretch out from her body like appendages. There are six in total, and they can stretch out as far as 10 meters, and grab at things. While not strong enough to fling a fully grown human around, these appendages are still strong enough to keep one still, and lift objects. The user needs not any handseals to use this technique, however the bandage in question has to be the 'special' waruichi brand.

Being a melee ninja, Kei has trained herself to be sturdier, faster and stronger than her peers. She can take a kick in the solar plexus without having her wind kicked out of her, she can outrun most other genin, who don't specialize in taijutsu, and her punches and kicks can break bricks, kung-fu style.

Asahi turned his head as he kept running to look back…and she was closing ground behind him?! She was faster than him, noted. He wouldn't be able to reach the wall in time...Asahi gritted his teeth as he saw six bandage tendrils come from the girls back. At that sight Asahi focused chakra to the seal on his back to release his two ki arms.

The chakra and bone like arms emerged and each grabbed a kunai as the bandage tendrils took their place above him. With a plant of his feet, Asahi did something probably unexpected. He turned on a spin and closed the small remaining distance that the faster Kei had closed, gathering chakra in his hands as he rushed her instead of the wall.

His two ki arms extended to divert any kunai from his opponents bandages that got to close during his surprise rush. The ones his ki arms couldn’t get, he tried to dodge with twists and turns of his body. A few kunai scratched him but with his knowledge of anatomy, he made sure he didn’t get cut anywhere too alarming. While his ki arms acted and he rushed to Kei, he held his focus on the chakra in his hands.

If able to get close enough from the sudden change in his intent, Asahi would slam his hands into Kei’s chest and release the chakra, performing Kokoro Fukkatsu [Heart Revival]. This was a technique used to get the heart going again once it failed, but Asahi knew it had offensive potential as well.

There would be immense pain that came from contact anywhere on the girls body, in case she managed to avoid his reach for the chest. And if connection with the chest happened, shocking a beating heart could have other adverse side effects. It would be like using a defibrillator on a healthy individual.

DESCRIPTION:
This jutsu is mostly used to reanimate the heart when it is failing. It is also quite a painful one upon any other part of the human body and thus can serve a double function as medical and battle jutsu.

To use it, the user gathers chakra in their hands and place it right atop the location of the patient's heart before releasing it. The stronger the release though, the more dangerous the jutsu can be. If it doesn't work the first time to revive the heart, the medic nin can allow itself to use this jutsu six times before needing to stop - the risks of truly damaging the heart before using more traditional means would be too great.

The Kunais were close, and Asahi was cut!

Just a little. But... it was not the real danger of the attack! Like onions and mummies, Kei had layers, and the main objective for her was to get them up close! For around every handle of that kunai, there was an explosive tag! And with him even grabbing two into his hands, it was easy to detonate them all and cause massive damage! Kei survived a tag to her ribs, in the first fight, barely. Thanks to her bandages. Who knows what kind of havoc all six could create on a person without protection! Her hands already joined together to make a Snake handseal to explode them all, but... Kei hesitated, just a little. The boy's affirmation that this was going to be a no-kill fight made Kei stay her hand. Instead, she yelled out!

"Boom, boom, and boom!
Kunais explode! They have been tagged before the battle!
It would be best if you surrendered!
I do not want to... AUOOUOEEEOOOO..."

Kei's rhyme was interrupted as the boy lunged at her with grabby hands, sparkling electricity! She didn't let him touch her chest, or her heart, his hands grabbed mid-way by hers, as they were free to do so. However, the shock went through. It hurt, a lot, and it startled her! As though trying to hold hot coals in hand! Except, worse! And with an added electric-like jolt. It made her hands instinctively clench around the boy's wrists. As she held his hands in hers, some of the bandages around her body wrapped around his hands and traveled upwards, already entrapping him. The kunai he went past off approached from behind as well, tapping his shoulder, as Kei looked into his eyes. 

"Nhhh... Kei does not wish to kill you, if she can help it!" - she said, flinching a bit from electricity, still.

But she was ready to finish the fight, if she had to.

They look like ordinary bandages which Kei is wearing at all times, everywhere. They cover over her face, her torso, and arms, several layers put over each, overlapping. However, these are no ordinary bandages, and looks can be deceiving.





ABILITIES:



Despite not looking like much, the bandages are Kei's 'special' set of Waruichi clothes, made from silk the silkworms created while consuming her own flesh. They are infused with her chakra, and act like extensions of her body - she can channel chakra and manipulate them with ease, and as she sees fit. They're very sturdy - can take swordblows without ripping, and dull the edge of the finest blade. They also do not burn, or conduct electricity. By channeling chakra through them, the girl can elongate the bandages to almost trice their length, or shorten them, without losing their physical properties. The whole set is around 30 meters worth of bandage, neatly wrapped around the body. Despite so long, its weight is insignificant enough to be ignored.

He achieved contact, but it wasn't where Asahi hoped. Kei had caught his hands in hers and took the jutsu there! Her hands moved to his wrists and he watched the bandages begin to travel up his arms above the wrist. ~Shit.~ Asahi cursed at himself in his head, but didn't panic.

For what felt like the first time, he met the bandaged girls eyes. He felt the tap of the kunai behind him but held her gaze as she spoke. He responded, as he picked up on her flinch, performing a technique as he spoke.

"Then don't. We don't have to kill each other to end the fight. I'd prefer not to lose a limb either. Hold back to that point, and the medics should be able to deal with it." With his hands being the only part of his arm unbandaged, he moved them to the underside of Kei's wrist as he spoke sincerely, and released chakra into them, performing Shibire Kan’yuu [Numbness Inducement].

At the same time he did this there was a factor Kei hadn't addressed. The two ki arms from his back dropped their kunai. They both grabbed the kunai next to Asahi's shoulder and with the strength of both, attempted to pull it away to their maximum extension of five feet.

He didn't want to kill her either, but they could go as far as they wanted up to that point. If the grip by his own hands was successful, which wouldn't be hard from her grabbing his wrist and moving on her flinch, Kei's wrists and lower part of her palm would go numb. It would feel like they were in a deep sleep, making them difficult, if not impossible to move.

Whether that would effect the bandages hadn't really crossed Asahi's mind. He attempted to use that technique, and the surprise that may have come from suddenly not being able to feel one's wrist, along with the ki arms actions, to move his own hands and wrists just enough to perform the three handseals needed for another jutsu.

If the handseals were accomplished, putting his hands together in a triangle wouldn't be difficult either, bandages still trapping his wrist and up or not. Once the triangle was connected, Asahi wouldn't need to aim, wasting no time to send a lightning bolt at Kei's stomach from feet away.

From this close, the force could crack ribs, the technique being able to dent trees. There would also be the electricity to deal with, and with it also being known to scorch trees, potentially fire if the bandages were flammable?

DESCRIPTION:
Using a mixture of their medical training and the user’s own natural Raiton chakra, a shinobi can temporarily paralyze their opponent’s limbs through touch by channeling the chakra through a part of their body. The paralyzation will make the user feel as if their limbs are in a deep sleep and unable to move. Essentially, this jutsu numbs the nerves to recreate the sensation of limbs falling asleep. The original nature of this jutsu was to help those undergoing painful surgery by numbing their limbs for a long period of time. However, it has recently began to see usage in combat to paralyze opponents for several moments.

NAME: Raiton: Inazuma no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique]

DESCRIPTION:
This technique is probably one of the most basic Raiton Jutsu out there that deals with actual lightning. The user will first perform the needed hand seals in order, then make a triangle with both their hands with the finger tips as the vertex and two thumbs acting as base. After which, the user will then begin to focus their Raiton Chakra to the Single Point while targeting the opponent within the open Triangle palm as they begin to channel chakra to the mid-point of the triangle. Then user will then pulsate a single bolt of lightning towards the opponent. The damage the bolt can deal is substantial, able to scorch a tree while leaving a dent at full power.

The boy tried to touch her wrists, but his own were being held! 

And Kei did not let go. She looked back at the boy with an expression of a child being told they would not have a cookie. There was a certain felt amount of betrayal in that gaze. She was trying to be nice! She didn't detonate the tags when she could! And she was hoping he'd surrender, like Kazue did! But he did not, instead goading her to injure him, saying that the medics will take care of the aftermath! It made her frown, her hands tightening around his wrists. Not letting go. And definitely not letting them connect to launch that jutsu he was gonna use at her, at point blank. He may have had some extra two arms, but hers were six bandagey appendages! She had more.

The bandages crawling up his main set of hands soon were wrapping up around his fingers, tying them together to prevent any handseals from being made. And while the other pair of hands tried to hold some kunai at bay, doing so exposed them to the bandages, which used that as a bridge to cover his other hands as well. They were tight, and they suddenly became sticky, as well, by Kei's command. They snaked up his arms and tightened, applying force to make their motions difficult, or even to immobilize them completely. As for the appendages remaining, that still held Kunai... they started stabbing Asahi right in the back. Again, again, and again, as if he was a certain Emperor from a far-away land, and they were his best friend. 

With him being held still, immobilized even, they would continue to stab, until the boy would surrender! Or die, whichever came first. 

Kei still looked upset, as it was happening. As though she felt people took advantage of her kindness. Maybe Sensei was right. Maybe she should stop giving people so many chances. Especially since this one was trying to hurt her, still!

His attempt to numb her wrists had failed and the bandages continued to wrap his arms. They got to his hands and fingers, immobilizing them and he felt the ki arms coming from his back be restrained as well. Asahi recognized the look in Kei's eyes, but it confused him.

Asahi saw the anger of a denied child begin to rise in Kei's eyes, and glanced back at the kunai behind him. Just as she was about to send the first one in to stab him, hopefully Asahi's words stopped her. "Wait! I suggest something different than my surrender!" Asahi said with desperation as he looked into his opponent in the eyes, hopefully still unharmed from the girls kunai.

"You've got me in a bind, so at the end of this, they can declare you the winner, but we don't have to stop yet...Why don't we reset and fight some more until they stop us?" Asahi asked with a friendly smile.

"I don't want this all to end just yet. These fights have been some of the best training I've gotten in a while, and you're quite the opponent. So what do ya say? Restart?"

His words were sincere. Fight aside, he didn't want the exam experience to be over yet. He had met so many interesting people, fought against and alongside so many interesting shinobi from all over. He wanted to extend it, if only for a moment.

Kei's kunais stopped inches away from pelting Asahi's back, as he pleaded with her.

She looked at him suspiciously, as he made his pitch. The boy was not honest... was he? She did not know. The Waruichi girl did not stab him, but her bandages, having wrapped up around all four of his hands, preventign them from making seals, continued to crawl around his limbs, and his body, gradually making him into a cuccoon. Soon, he'd be completely wrapped up! What's worse, the bandages were sticky, and made it harded to try and get out of them, too! Having thought about it for a while, Kei shook her head.

"If you want practice, that is fine!
You could request a sparring session,
But I cannot risk you to lie,
And get away from this procession!"

With that, Kei would complete the capture of Asahi, until he is completely immobilized, only his face visible from the bandages, and carefully move him onto the floor. Should that occur, she'd wave over to the proctor, for them to appear and declare her winner. She was not as bloodthirsty as some others in her clan have been showing, so far. But Kei did want to win and make her teacher proud! Maybe doing so would also get the rest of her team look better at her, and not consider her to be dead weight in the exams!
