He didn't know for sure when he would ever be back here, after all, so he wanted to try what was available while he could. After he roamed around a few blocks, he settled on a place that looked colorful. He stepped in and the aromas of the cooked food hit him, causing him to grin. He went and looked at their menu, putting an order in for some eel with a special sauce that happened to be one of Kazue's favorites. With his order placed, he went in to find a seat, when he saw a familiar head of white hair sitting at a table. He grinned and walked over to Kazu quietly, before suddenly laughing and clasping his shoulders, taking the seat across from him. "Kazu! Loading up before the fights, huh?" If there was anything with eel sauce currently before Kazu, he would take it right off the plate. He had the intention of paying him in return when his plate came, but that sauce was too crazy and delicious to leave laying in front of him like that. "Where's Kashiwa? Kazu had been thoughtful today, ordering something for his sensei instead of just himself. Hopefully, Masahiko liked eel. Kazu had already ate earlier, and he wasn't too hungry yet. Still, this was more of a distraction than anything. He was nervous for the fights. He'd seen just how good some of the other participants were in the other rounds. Not to mention, he still hadn't seen how Shigure fought. He could tell from his sensei's words alone that Shigure was skilled. Still, he wanted to fight the leaf village genin. Despite the fact that he had very few strategies to use against him, Kazu wanted to fight him.

A voice brought him out of his thoughts, it was his teammate from the 2nd round: Kazue! "Huh? Oh, this is for my sensei. You look hungry though." He noted, "I already filled myself up earlier, surprised you haven't yet honestly." The boy grinned; Kazue seemed like he could eat for days if he wanted. He took some of the sauce Kazu had gotten for his sensei, but Kazu didn't particularly mind. He had some in his pouch just in case anyways. "Kashiwa? We met for a few. Talked some strategy and whatnot. What about you? Seen any of your teammates from the previous rounds?" Kazu asked, before shifting to another topic as well. "You nervous for the fights? Some of the competition looks really good."

Just wanted to try a new place today. I haven't been to Kagamino no Shi before, so I'm getting a good start on the local flavor before I come back again. Whenever that is." Kazue finished the piece of meat he had taken from the plate covered in sauce, grinning. "I love eel sauce. But if it's for your sensei, I'll replace the one I took. Was gonna do that anyway." Kazu then asked him if he had seen any previous teammates from the previous rounds. "Nah, not really. Well... actually, I'm rooming with a girl from the first round. She seems nice enough... really strong, though. I'm hoping I might fight her. But no, I'm not nervous. This is what I've been looking forward to the entire time. I'm not good at support or anything like that, but give me a face to beat in and I'm the guy." Kazue definitely had confidence. Enough to eat without giving any thought to the fights. Kazu on the other hand, was trying to gather as much information as possible to give himself an edge. Kazue replaced the eel sauce, causing Kazu to give him a light smile. "It's no big deal, but I appreciate it man." The only previous teammate Kazue had seen was whoever his roommate was, obviously a teammate from the first round. Kazue revealed a bit that Kazu already somewhat knew: Kazue was no good at support, he was more of a front-lines type of person. "Kind of figured that out from round 2, granted me and you were both less of the support style." 

Kazu's eyes lit up as his prior teammate mentioned Shigure, "Know anything about him? Other than he'd eat your lunch?" Kazu asked, Shigure was one of the main opponents he was worried about facing. He was excited, but nervous at the same time. What if he didn't measure up? What if he failed the exams because of his potential fight with Shigure? At the same time though, he wanted to see how his own skills and mind would excel against someone as strong as Shigure.

After all, he had been intending to do just that from the very start. He chuckled a bit when Kazu said that they both weren't much for the support role. "Well hey, at least with you we had fresh water. That came in pretty damned handy, I'd say." He continued eating his food in his casual way, just enjoying his time with the new comrade. But it was then that Kazu asked him if he knew anything about Shigure. He paused, wondering if he should say anything. But... he was a new comrade, and the Snow was allied with the Mist. He looked around, before getting a little closer. "I don't know all the details. But my sensei, she has this technique. She can become water. Negate any damage you try to do to her. She was the one who told me to look out for the white-eye clan and the red-eye clan from Konohagakure. She says she fought one of them once. Killed him. But his techniques, and his way of fighting... he was able to hit her normally. Now, I don't know what that means. But I was told it would be best to keep him at mid-range or long range and try to take him out from there." He looked at Kazu, seeing if that answered his question sufficiently enough. "Me... Kazue mentioned that he had at least provided a fresh water source for the group, to which Kazu spoke up again, "Yea, but that's less of a support role and more just survivability. Kashiwa was definitely the most prepared out of us for that. That being said, it was definitely useful. Made it to where we didn't have to look for a water source. As far as how useful you were though, everyone has the thing they excel at. Yours just happens to be combat, so there wasn't much you could do. At the very least though, you knew how to get your stuff done. We didn't have to help you climb the cliff, remember?" He smiled, hoping to give Kazue a little confidence.

Then, they got into the more important topic. How to fight Shigure. Something with Shigure's clan had allowed a member of them to hit Kazue's sensei, despite the fact she could become water. It seemed as though Kazue wasn't telling him everything, but Kazu couldn't blame him for that either. At least he'd gotten a little bit of information. His hands had something to do with how effective he was. "Yea, that helps a lot. If I don't end up fighting him it's whatever but in case I do, this will have helped a lot."
