Kana is a relatively short and thin woman, standing at only 5'3". Despite her size, she has a demanding presence that goes along with her negative reputation. Kana has a heart shaped face with soft features. Her azure blue eyes seem almost too big for her face. Kana always has thick dark eyeliner making her large eyes seem even larger. Her blue hair is almost always tie back in two long braids which falls to her knees. Perhaps her most defining feature, Kana has an extra pair of arms which she displays proudly. Kana has tattoos of clouds which climb up her right side from calves to wrists.
Kana wears a rather simple outfit for easy mobility. She wears a tightly fitted black crop-tank with an X-pattern across her breasts. Assymetrical gloves cover her arms, the shorter of which is on her tattoo'd arm. These gloves are fingerless, black, and have purple accents. Kana's pants are tightly fitted as well, these have have faded black and purple vertical stripes. On each hip are the scrolls containing her puppets. What remains of the once willful and fiery child, has become a vessel to inact revenge. This is what fuels Sparrow, it is the lifeblood which keeps her heart pumping. Not just here own unending list but the vengeance of all. Sparrow lives to see those who have hurt, abandoned, and broken people like herself.
Sparrow has been through years of hardship, mentally and physically she has been tested in ways many people never will be. This has created a woman who views the world in a serious manner. She has come to see the worst in most and is distrusting. In most cases, Sparrow opts for silence but if you manage to provoke a word from her it is generally meant to strip your hide.
Freedom was something she had never imagined after her first crime. While her outlook is often serious, and perhaps grim, Sparrow has found a beauty in life that is sometimes quite poetic. The beauty of nature and of having a purpose. HISTORY Sparrow was born into the Jokyu clan, which has a respectable place in Kumogakure. Sparrow's was anything but respectable. Her early years painted her as a willful child, always headstrong and feisty. Even from her youngest years, she had given her parents a handful. Her parents had been no one in particular; only their clan name gave them any notoriety. Neither of them followed the path of the shinobi. They lived relatively simple lives, the type of life that Sparrow should have been slated for
War broke out between her homeland and Shimogakure when Sparrow was five years old. It had been a rather short skirmish between the nations, but it lasted much longer for Sparrow. Sparrow and her family had been returning from her mother's business trip in Shimogkure when the war had broken out. At the time, they had little reason to worry. In fact, they thought it might even be fun to show Sparrow other parts of the world. After all, despite the rising tensions, they were only civilians. There should have been little worry about.
Unfortunately, their names and otherwise low status had made them perfect targets for bandits exploiting the conflict. The family had been ambushed, and their small group of guards was of little use. Being Jokyu made them great hostages, and since they were not of any political importance, their capture would warrant a ransom and not aggravate an attack. And ransomed they were, one by one, they were returned home. Last of which was Sparrow, despite her parents' pleas to have her sent home first. They knew that her family would do anything to have her returned, and they kept increasing the ransom. The war had hit Jokyu hard and even the wealthy Oonakayama clan.
Unbeknownst to Sparrow, her parent's worked tirelessly and kept paying and paying. The clan had put together a group to rescue her after several months. Sparrow would make it halfway across the desert before this group of Oonakayama shinobi would find her. Sparrow had managed to escape merely by chance. Sparrow thought she had been abandoned and that her parents had gotten free and forgotten about her. A wound from which she would not heal, even though her parents would shower her with love until they died.
Sparrow saw it as logical to join the academy. Her parents could not protect her, and she would not be weak like them. She had grown to hate them. Their love, no matter how genuine, came off as fake. Sparrow had convinced herself that they hated her. All of them, even the entire clan. How else could she explain why she spent so many months with those bandits?
That hatred consumed her for years. Throughout the entirety of the academy, she trained for one purpose. To be stronger than all of her clansmen combined, stronger than the entirety of Kumogakure and to end them all. Every last person who should have saved her. This drive led her to excel in most aspects. It would not be long before she got her first revenge.
Nearly a year after becoming a genin, Sparrow no longer could keep the anger from boiling over. It was time, and she did not care about the repercussions. That night, she drove a knife through both of her parents' hearts and waited. She was found the following day sitting with her parent's bodies. Sparrow hated them, but she hated herself more for not waiting. Not waiting until she could have taken more down with her.
Sparrow would spend the next seven years of her life in prison. Needless to say, being a small young girl brought many challenges. It would require her to become tough and to do so quickly. She was kept with other incarcerated children, as few as they were. However, she did not make friends. She shrunk away instead. Always quiet but always prepared. Sparrow had been in countless fights, often not in her favour. It was forbidden to use any jutsu while in prison, but that did not stop Sparrow. Jiton could be subtle; her attackers often found themselves pierced by stray metal objects.
Prison was largely lackluster, grueling day-to-day, and often filled with various types of labour. Upon turning eighteen, Sparrow was transferred from the juvenile center. The change made her nervous. As long as they didn't harm the guards, it did not matter what they did. No one cared about the punishment; none of them were likely to see freedom anyways. Sparrow was not meant to.
Sparrow had her fair share of fights in the new facility over the years. She could have laid low, but she refused to be pushed around. The next few years were monotnous. But eventually Sparrow had stood her ground against the wrong man. They waited for her to be somewhere without eyes to see. To say they beat her of an inch of her life would be kind. They left her unconscious and set her ablaze.
Recovery took nearly a year. Her body nearly entirely covered by scars now. Sparrow knew she had once been beautiful, but now her flesh was pink and grotesquely puckered. Half of her face remained; thankfully, her eyesight was intact. Those flames had reignited her desire for revenge. Nearly a decade in prison had taken the only thing that had driven her. Now it consumed her again.
After recovery, Sparrow was sent back to prison. Her revenge was swift. She found no need to be subtle, to hide in shadows. There was nothing to lose. Sparrow collected small pieces of metal, and she sharpened them as best she could. While everyone gathered for lunch, those men who left her for dead found their throats slit. All hell broke loose among the prisoners.
Among that chaos, Sparrow relished in joy. Nothing felt better than finally having that revenge. She laughed until everything went dark. Sparrow had proven herself a diffcult situatio at ninteen years old. Kumogkaure's quarantine had finally benn lifted. There was a desperation for shinobi, and having a kekkei genkai, Sparrow was deemed fit for rehabilitation rather than life in prison. Sparrow would not give them that satisfaction. She would enact the revenge she had sworn to herself over a decade ago.
Sparrow has spent her time since release, training and becoming the type of women who could bring a village to their knees, The road ahead is long. Sparrow recognizes this, but she will have her revenge. No matter how long it takes.
