They were in some ways toe-to-toe, and in others not so much. He was not sure what she was using to amplify herself, but it was certainly giving his shroud a good run. But he wasn't quite ready to give up yet and it would be quite a shame if he did as the Mizukage, give up, already. So he didn't.

He attacked from the front, which was not very much like him but it was something he had to do in the heat of combat. Especially with this style. It was harder to hide himself with the shroud. Alas, she dodged and blisteringly fast. The first few kicks were delivered, and Toru felt a bit of pain. Of course his shroud protected him between his durability and the intense heat that Asuka would likely feel from kicking him due to the shroud. At some point, though he moved his tail manipulating it to grab her incoming kick to his head, going to try and wrap around her ankle and toss her over his body and away.

Once again sending her catapulting - if he was successful - as she had moments before. Toru inhaled hard, and pursued right after going straight for Asuka before she was even done spiraling.

Granted, this was if he was successful, but with her proximity it would be hard to dodge.

The two were evenly matched but to a rather minimal degree, Asuka had pushed herself as hard as she could using the gates and managed to get in a few shots but then would come the searing pain of the heat that was being dispersed by his skin just what was causing this? The girl would wonder as she found herself overwhelmed by it.

However as she aimed to kick him in the head that shroud of his once again would fling her across the water by this point her clothing was quite searing and tattered and unlike most other instance the boy would make a mad dash towards her whilst she was in mid-flight and with not too many options to move herself out of the way of his attack the girl would flex the muscles in her body in order to try and shield herself from whatever attack he had coming her way, just what was he…?

How was he doing this and where was it coming from? Asuka had never know him to have any powers like this before and now suddenly he can craft coral and create shrouds was this something he had learned from Kasumi since she too had something similar, but no not to this degree right? "Just what is this...?" the Waruichi would think to herself.

Taking use of the user’s incredible durability and strength this technique is used to protect from physical strikes. By coiling their muscles the user builds up energy, which is then released by flexing the part of their body that is struck. This release of force works to overshadow the strike of their opponent, dissipating most of the force by matching it with their own. Of course the user needs to pinpoint where their opponent will strike beforehand so they can properly prepare.

Asuka's strength has increased 10 fold to the point where she is able to crush stoned within her grasp and breaks bones of lesser individuals with ease. And while she still has much to learn as a chunin. The youth's power is not one to be challenged lightly, as she is able to perform physical feats that would seem inhuman to even most shinobi.

Hijutsu: Kinu no Eikyō:
Asuka is a member of the Waruichi clan and as such has the ability to control a special chakra infused silk that was forged by a special group of silkworms that feed on the corpses of dead clansmen. With it Asuka can craft and shape the silk to her will and uses it in a mostly supplementary fashion to aid her in battle alongside her powerful taijutsu skills.

Iron Burst:
As a sole practitioner of Taijutsu Asuka has relentlessly pushed her body against itself for spectacular results: her strength carries over into her speed, and as such alongside the control she exerts body in spirit and in mind, she is intensely faster than those of a similar level of strength and maneuvering expertly as if the air were an extension of her own body.

A Disciplined Iron Bull:
During Asuka's time as a genin the youth had begun to realize that in order to excel as a shinobi she needed to learn how to properly utilize her chakra. And while she doesn't posses the greatest of reserves the youth has learned through rigorous meditation how to keep her chakra still and calm. As a result she is now able to wield it with a great deal of control and is able to channel only the necessary amounts of chakra into the few jutsu she uses in order to make the most of their abilities whilst still being able to keep up in a fight.

Toru threw himself forward into Asuka mid-air, he was not much of a physical fighter, but he was more than adept with his weapons and so of course he was drawing upon his bone sword, shoving the blunt end of it against Asuka's mid-section. The intention was never to kill, and if he had done this with real force and with the sharp end of the sword, Asuka would find herself cut in half - not a result that Toru wanted. But she was bracing for it, so he knew that it would not cause as much issue if she were just free flying completely.

The sword's impact, albeit blunt, would serve to send Asuka flying further away at a more distinct trajectory. Likely also increasing the speed with which she was flying. But Toru was not done, his sword was resheathed and he was using his chakra, focusing in on the bijuu inside to create a wall of coral just behind his sparring partner. It was not a huge wall, but one that was definitely big enough to stop Asuka's flight.

The intent here was to stop her extremely fast trajectory very suddenly. The velocity and sudden impact would likely hurt, a little too much. Though it would also cause some of the coral to crack from the impact itself, since Toru had created it so quickly its sturdiness was not at its best. Though the coral itself even at its weakest form was hard to break, it took some of the greatest kinetic force, something that Toru had aimed to emulate in Asuka's flight.

As the girl would get sent flying through the air Toru would make his way towards her at a fast speed and attempt to keep herself collected but due to the influx of pain that the girl was going through she was having a hard keeping herself together.

As this went on the girl would try her best to maneuver herself however behind her there was a large pile of coral directly behind her and the girl would attempt to flex her muscles however as she fell through the wall she would find the coral cutting against her skin and ripping through some of her bandages leaving her to once again crash into the water. "Just how much power does Lord Toru have.” she’d once again pull herself out of the water and then use some of her chakra to simply land on the surface of the water. "Alright sir…I think I’m beat…” the girls vision was blurry and she was running low on steam.

For the moment she was content with just laying there. "Man I still have a long way to go before I’m as strong as I need to be.” the girl would state having over exerted herself. She'd call out to Toru who may or may not've been far away from her at this point. "Uhh, sir what was all that?"

Toru grimaced watching her slam through the coral, perhaps he did not make it sturdy enough. It was meant to stop her trajectory, not have her fly through it.

Ah it'll be fine.

If you say so...

But, Asuka was talking and as the heat of battle settled slowly he could hear her but just barely. Still, she wasn't getting up and as a result, his shroud started to disappear until he was just a teenage boy, as always, just standing there without much expression on his face but a few spots where his clothes had taken on the combat.

Slowly he would approach Asuka his body quite relaxed as if every muscle in his body had gone into the extreme opposite direction to avoid feeling a great deal of tension from battle.

"All of what?"

The coral wall had fallen behind him, mostly from a mixture of his own lack of concentration and him putting 'away' the shroud. He started to stretch his arms, making the muscles that had tensed up in combat more limber. Like a cool down routine more than anything else, he even bent over to touch his toes.

"Do you need help?" It was not condescending, a genuine inquiry into her state.

The girl would lie in the water when he’d ask her "All of what?” he had to be kidding, she clearly noticed him making various different transformation on his person such as his skin giving off an reddish aura. "That aura you had? I’ve never seen anything like it?” the girl had figured that it was some sort of bloodline technique of some kind but never knew him to have anything like that.

"And your skin it was…scalding hot, is that some kind of new technique you developed?” she’d say, doing her best to try and move her limbs were pretty much weak from the overexertion of energy that she’d put whilst having to take advantage of the power of the 8 gates. "And yeah I’d appreciate a hand…actually umm…can you carry me out of here I don’t think I can move.” it was a little embarrassing but using a technique she didn’t have as much knowledge on did take it’s toll on her.

She felt the strain and might need a full days rest in order to get herself back in good working order. "Oh and thank you by the way I appreciate you taking the time to spar with me, hopefully next time I can win.” she’d say with a weak smile as she looked towards the lord of her village.

"Oh." Toru was not clueless, but the techniques he had been using had been a bit second nature to him as of recent. He had forgotten that it was not something Asuka had been aware of at all. He blinked a few times, in silence staring at her in the water, the passion and heat of battle was waning now like the eb and flow of the moon that controlled their oceans.

"Yes. It's new. I've been perfecting it." But there was not a lot of detail he could give. He never revealed it, because it was one of the nation's most well kept secrets, only those who belonged to the highest ranks, directly involved with him knew of his status, including only some of the most skilled and privy in the Oinin knew. Indeed, well guarded and under key. Toru's greatest power and plight could not be spoken out loud.

Once she accepted his offer of assistance he nodded, and reached down scooping Asuka up into his arms, maneuvering her around until she was situated on his back, riding piggy back since that was the easiest. Plus, Toru was not exactly tall so it would look comical regardless of how he carried her, but this was the least embarrassing for them both.

"You seem to be working on something new every time I meet with you. I never know what to expect." Perhaps it was a good thing, but in some aspects he wondered if Asuka was ever also content with her path in life. Perhaps not.
